For any girls how are 9 weeks or already past 9 weeks ---did any of you experience wierd sensations towards your belly button?? Last night, laying down to watch American Idol, I have a funny pulling reaching up toward my belly button --could my uterus be getting that big already???

Jamato - I had the same pulling sensation all of last week...The doc said that it was my uterus stretching into my abdomen. Felt weird though, and I started feeling little movements about a week ago, it's amazing to feel such.

I feel as if I'm 6 months as well, my nasuea is not as bad.I figured out that I have to cook certain veggies and not eat them raw for them to stay down...Is everyone eating every 2-3 hours?

Jess,

I am in full support of your decision. So sorry you had to go through the selection process. The decision is the best for you and your baby since it will give you the best odds of a healthy, full term delivery. Plus Meagan can't wait for a playmate :-)

I felt the same pulling/stretching sensation at around 9 weeks and it continued as my uterus moved up to my rib cage area. Meagan's heartrate started in the 165 range and then was always between 160-170.

I wish you all a successful and easy pregnancy. God Bless all the little angels!

Heather - I too have a really sore lower back. Sometimes it feels like it cramps and I kinda can't move in certain positions. I have been walking a lot lately & swimming too, but I'm not sure if that's helping or hindering!

On the weight, I look & feel like I have put on about 10kgs (about 20 lbs), but when I had to weigh in at the hospital last week, I was surprised to see I had only put on 2kg (about 4.5 lbs). I am showing a lot - my belly is huge, so it's very strange.

I found out a friend is due a week after me, so I'm very excited. Although she is very fit & in great shape, so I'm in for a long 6 months of people comparing how we look! Oh well....

Hello ladies,

I've missed you all so much. Right after my last note I was released from bed rest and returned to work. I have been so exhausted. All I do is peel myself out of bed to barely get into work and stumble through 4 hours of work and return home to find the couch until bed. I'm so tired! I wasn't this tired in the beginning. I'm really hoping to get my energy back next week when 2nd tri starts!!!!

Jessica - huge hug to you and dh. You definately made the right and safe decision for your family. I'm so glad you had the courage. I've seen selective reduction done and am praying it goes as smoothly for you. I also have had a strange tugging sensation on my belly button for the past 4 weeks. I've read it is fairly common.

Ahart - so sorry to hear you're on bed rest. My heart goes out to you. Sounds like you are handling it well. Hope you're getting lots of support.

Anyone with round ligament pain? I started getting it around 9 weeks. (which is early!) (I'm blaming the huge amount of progesterone my dh sticks me with every morning.) I get shooting pains and longer lasting aches. I've been reassurred its round ligament, but it's hard to have these funny pains without feeling nervous. I'm in serious US withdrawal. I was getting themweekly with the bleeding and now have to wait 2 weeks until next week for the 12 week scan. I'm already getting nervous. It really helped to see how well everyone's scans have gone.

I'm so glad to see the other belly ladies on the board. I went to a maternity shop last week! I felt like a imposter, but found alot of stretchy pants. I look 6 monhts and my boobs are an entire dilemma of there own. This is ridiculous! How much can our bodies grow? I'm hoping there's some law of nature limiting this at some point!

I've rambled on too much, but really missed you all and am so relieved and happy to see how well everyone is doing!

Hello Everyone!

Glad to see that everyone is doing well.

The Wives tale about the babies sex being determined by the heart rate goes as follows...

155 and below Boy... 155 and above Girl...

now for my two kids this played out true..

My son was 140 the entire pregnancy.. My daughter was 160 the entire pregnancy. Thats why im joking around about having a boy now.

I should post a poll and see how many people actually match that information.

I had the worst craving for mexician food last night.. So instead of going ot taco bell.. I went to the grocery store.. Bought stuff to make.. Enchaladias (sp), Tacos, 7 layer dip, and burritos. I come back home. Now my DH has already made dinner for the kids and himself... SO I start cooking.. I make all the fixings for the huge dinner I have planned...

All the while im eating the 7 layer dip.. which is wonderful!!! So I get everything finished... ( I have eaten all the dip) and I can't belive it.. I wasn't hungery at all.. I couldn't eat any of it..

But it made a great lunch today!!

Big hugs to everyone!

Danielle

Hello all! I have a quick chance to catch up after 4 days of vacation. I feel great! No sickness & walked 3-4 miles a day. I did nap every afternoon, feel like I'm carrying extra weight, backaches, and the bathing suit looked crazy, but I'm having fun.

Oh, for the first time someone said to me "Are you pregnant?" I guess I'm showing enough that she wasn't afraid of me saying "no" and her feeling silly for pointing out my big stomach. So she made my day.

Mel, 15 weeks now! Can you belive it?

Jessica, your decision doesn't surprise me. I'm sorry you had to make it, but you are doing what is right.

Danielle, I'm the same height & weight as you. I've gained 14 pounds now, so you've got me beat. My body also is shaped weird now...no curves, kind of boxy and chunky. I think I look really pregnant. Of course I love it. :)

My first scan is on the 5th. Right now I'm very sick i wish it was morning sickness but it's not. I think I got my allergies under control, but I think I have broncitis I go to the doctor tomorrow, I hope there is something that they can do that will be safe.
As of June 6th, I'm 8 weeks, first scan yesterday. Triplets. Scarred out of mind!!

Hi all,

Looks like everyone is progressing well. The waiting between scans is awful isn't it? I have got another 6 weeks until my 21 week scan and it is going so slow. I hope all goes well and then i can start telling people  , can't wait to see their faces!!!!

KristiA & Mel - How are you both doing? managing to relax a little now? When are your 20 weeks scans? glad you enjoyed your vacation KristiA.

Dottie - hope the doctor can sort you out, i am sure there is something they can give you, take care

GOOD LUCK, ALL

love

Sue - How can you hold out so long not telling! Wow you have amazing will-power :D

Dottie - I hope you are feeling better. Get lots of rest.

MLG - How did the scan go?

Danielle - Mexican food sounds awesome!! That is the one major thing I have been craving and you can't get any good tex-mex in Europe. I have been making my own but it is not the same...I would even eat Taco Bell right now :D

Hi to all the other moms!! :D :D

We received the results from NT scan and blood work...and everything looks super! My risk is 1:8000 :D :D What a relief..now we need to decide if we will do amnio or not....are you all doing amnio?

Traci,

So glad your scan went well! We had great results with ours and the chance of a birth defect was 1 in 10,000 - which was great! We opted not to have the amnio since the blood work and scan came out great and the miscarriage risk from the amnio was too possible. We now have a beautiful and healthy baby girl. The amnio would give you the absolute answer such as a zero chance of birth defects. Best of luck to you and your baby:)

Sue, you're waiting until 21 week scan to tell people? You do have will power. I guess that means you've been able to hide it well too. I'm doing a 16.5 week scan next week. I guess with twins I get to do them more often.

I get the results of my NT scan & bloodwork next week too. I hope to get results like Traci & Christine got! Congrats! Traci, if I get results like you guys did I don't think I'm going to do the amnio. I know it's pretty routine, but the risk of miscarrying scares me. We'll see.

Hi Ladies

Just a quick post to say that 10 week scan went well. Image
Little one was a bit hidden but is in shape and with heart beating! Don't have measurements, but Dr. said it was big.
