Hi Kelley.

Congratulations on your second scan!

Have the doctors given you any reason for the bleeding/spotting? It's very common to have implantation bleeding, so it could be that. You also said 'confirming at least one...' - could this be something to do with it?

I have had spotting - most like a light tan discharge for weeks now - and I'm almost 14 weeks. It has though been darker at times - even redder on a couple of occasions. Like you, things have always seemed fine on checking but it doen't get easier and I am exhausted worrying. I have it every day to varying degrees and long for it to stop... Initially the EPU did see the implantation when it had probably come from, but after 9 weeks it seemed to have gone so who knows. It is a worry but all I can say is it seems to be common so just take it easy and just think about what going on in your tummy... I too hope someone will reply to your post and tell us it's ok!

Take care

Hi girls - welcome Kelly! Glad you find my posts helpful - sometimes I feel like I rant on too long but if someone finds them useful, then that is great! :)

I have mentioned this before - and you have all probably already read about it - but I had some bleeding at 6.5 weeks - and it was bright red with clots and all. I was sure I was having a miscarriage. As it turns out, all is well! The part the surprised me the most was how many women bleed throughout their pregnancies and how "normal" it is. I guess you just assume the worst when you see it. We have all been thru so much just trying to get pregnant that our minds automatically go to the worst case scenario. I was talking to all these women I know at work, thru family etc, and was shocked at how many were like " oh yeah I bled for the first 3 months when I was pregnant" like it was no big deal! So - moral of the story - don't worry!

I am moving onto the second trimester thread now - and I can't wait until you ladies can join me there! I will still be checking in here from time to time to see how you all are doing.

:D :D :D :D :D

thanks lisa big help really!! zoe very strange on both scans the first one was very early i had started bleeding and given my not so pretty history my ob sent me right in so we saw 2 sacs both looked to have activity going on inside but not much really to see....then at the 6 week scan there again where the 2 sacs, in 1 was a baby measuring 6 weeks 2 days heartbeat 120..i was actually 6 weeks 4 days but they said i was well w/in normal range in the 2nd sac was like shadows in the center and then my husband saw something on the outer wall that looked like a heartbeat, they had me roll around and pushed on my belly but couldnt see anything other than this slight flutter it didnt seem to time quickly enough to be a heartbeat and god luve deb my ultrasound tec she just looked at me and said i really have never seen that before..im not sure but i wll tell you i am not at all enthusiastic about it ...so thats about it that combined w/ some spotting and cramping has pretty much given me dailey heart attacks ....but if this is what it takes then we do it...congrats 2 you 14 weeks thats awesome!!!! you will be feeling kicks soon!!!! ---all my best Kell

Hey Kell,

So when do you get another scan to see about the second scan? Did they indicate that the second one may not be viable? Who knows, maybe it's just an initial slow developer?

I know I had really bad cramps when I was pregnant with Sam - and like you red bleeding, even some clots but all was fine eventually. I was always convinced that Sam was a twin and I just lost one and that's what it was, but with the spotting in this pregnancy, I've decided I'm just crap at pregnancy   Cramps seem to be quite common and normal so I wouldn't worry too much about those.

Take care

Hello Girls:

I was waiting to begin a frozen egg cycle, when I found out that I was pregnant. I am 5 weeks pregnant. It is a miracle. I had an HSG x-ray just prior to my last cycle and supposedly it increases the changes of getting pregnant for a couple of cycles following the x-ray. My first scan is scheduled for 7/14 when I will be ~ 7 weeks pregnant. Will I be able to hear/see the heartbeat at this time? I am on pins and needles, as I've never been pregnant before.

Regards,
Tammy
