Nimble! Yes, I am your online stalker! (actually it's more of just following your progress, and praying for you... but you know what I mean)

I am in Gainesville Florida, which is North Central Florida, your parents are going to be souther than us. And on the west coast.

Yes, I am definately ovulating, but no one knows if my eggs are viable, thus the brainiac test... it does sound like that doesn't it!

Hey what a great group is building........Charlie - great thread

Melissa - nice to meet you too. You really have been through it. Nobody knows if my eggs are any good either. Had nothing as bad as c****** but have an auto immune disorder - sarcoidosis. They hope that the immune tests will tell me when the results come back from chicago whether that is an issue for me. Anyhow it will be nice to be facing the waiting for test results etc with others

Becky - BBQ. Sounds great. I love it now that it is warmer and sunny. Makes it all seem more uplifting 8) Love it. Cycling together  Great to read about the x factor tour but the mcdonalds. You have been taking too many drugs hun! I am getting all my notes transfered from clinic 1 to clinic 2 (even that takes 21 - 40 days  ) but some of the tests need to be done annually - hiv, hep b and hep c for both of us - so we are having to get all these done again. Because I am such an old timer - HA HA. Plus I am having loads of immune tests done which were not done by Hammersmith. Plus they check everything every cycle on d2 to try to pick the right month  what a carry on. I begged my gp and she agreed that dh and i could have some tests done at the hospital for free. That saved us about £300. I have no shame anymore - i'll ask for anything if it saves a bit of £

Charlie - sorry that you are back to work on Monday but how long have you had off!!!!!??? Agree with you re-Becky and the Scots duo - what on earth is she thinking of?? Primark is tomorrow with my younger sister. They just opened a big store on Oxford St. Did you see there were people pushing through each other on the first day - rugby scrum. I shall report back  Got too hate all the weight that we put on in tmts. I am trying to lose some too but each time I lose then I seem to put on more with the next lot of tmt. Hope that AF is not too bad for you

Jackie - we are just dating two lots of ladies at the same time. I figure it is fine. Lots of the ladies on May-June have firm plans already. Very happy to cheer them on but feel like a bit of a spare part. Our turn will come around soon enough. A month on holiday - that is so fab and so unfair. Plus a go on the nhs. that is cool. will reply to you about argc on other thread as that is where you posed the question

Angel - this may not help you but i had some medical insurance cover through my job. Another lady told me how I could get the lap done privately on the insurance. If either you or dh have any medical cover through work then please PM me and happy to tell you what I had to say. All above board but there were some things that I was warned not to say  If that is of no use then i am sorry. Certainly worth calling the hospital and trying to find out where you are on the list. Also ask them if you would be able to get a cancel if someone else does not go ahead for any reason

Hugs to everyone. Enjoy the weekend.
Lots of Love
Carolyn

Hi Becky :D

We've been on the NHS waiting list for two years since our last cycle failed. I phoned the hospital two weeks ago and they told me that we were still nowhere near the top of the list. Well, enough is enough and we've decided to go to spain for treatment. We've got quite a lot to sort out before we make our first app, but I am so excited its given me new hope.

Hi Gill - welcome. don;t get me started on the nhs funding issue in this country and the wait times  can i be cheeky and ask where in Spain you are thinking of going? I have been looking at the possibility of donor eggs given my age. Been looking at IM in Barcelona, IVI (in Madrid) and Ceram in Marbella. Was interested to know what/where you were thinking of????? Look forward to getiing to know you better and may be sharing research on Spain

Rachel - shush you - this soppy stuff just makes me weepy. We are just helping each other. Just wish that I could lose 4lbs and a dress size in a week. Go girl. I cannot think of a better incentive to diet and by a yummy mummy.

Going to bed now with a good book!

Lots of Love
Carolyn

I love how busy you ladies are during the day! It keeps me from working so hard!!!

Rachel- Congrats on the weight loss! I am doing it too, for more reasons than one- but this whole IF things got me so depressed that I gained 20 lbs...so it's time to lose it again! Yummy mummy! I love it!!!

Lara- You are going to be a Yummy Mummy!!! Great job on the weight loss!! That is phenomial!!! And DH and I have been talking about egg donation too, especially as a means to fund raise for this whole IVF thing. We can do it together!

Gill-That so stinks that you are no where near the top of the list yet :( But Spain huh! That is great! Definately a great thing to be excited about ! When does that start? And how far are you from Spain?

Charlie - Kudo's for a great thought, this thread is just what I needed! :D

Carolyn- Cancer definately stinks! It stinks the big one! But honestly in a crazy backwards sort of way, it was the best thing to ever happen to me. I have become such a more spiritual/religious person, I am stronger, I am nicer, I live for the moment now... and I am infertile... but all of those things make you stronger, and more able to handle the little things, like crap my boss is a jerkward, but ya know, I am a cancer survivor so screw him! Ya know what I mean - you should feel the same way, your body is fighting you ever step of the way, and you are still kicking and still are going to be a fantastic mummy! Tests, schmests! Once those come back, you'll know how to face the world! (stepping off my soap box) Wow, where did that come from?

Welshgirl aka Becky - Love me some BBQ! I love when we can take the grill out, it really makes my day! My season! 8)

Have a great weekend, everyone!!!

Much love and kisses!

Mel

Its so great to meet all you lovely people and get so much support. I almost cried while reading your posts. Wish you all the best and hopefully we'll all come out of this smiling. For me the most frustrating part is not knowing what route we will have to take yet.

Great to hear about your weight loss programmes too. I am trying to lose some weight too. I do well for a few weeks and then I have one of those days when I feel so low that all the healthy eating goes out of the window!!! But hey, I now have a new support group in all of you. Keep up with the good effort. :)
