Congratulations Tina. It's great to see old cycle buddies becoming bump buddies. The wait to the scan is just as bad as any 2ww but at least you've got christmas to take your mind off it.

MBG I had my scan last Thursday at 6w2d. It was so amazing to see a little heartbeat flickering away, I just try to rmember that when the cramping's worrying me.
I'm now dscharged from the clinic and need to see my GP to set up ante-natal care. Can't get an appointment til after christmas. Oh well they're not gonna do anything yet anyway
38,single.ttc with iuid
3 cycles 100mg clomid-BFN
2 cycles menopur-BFN

Hi Ladies,
Mind if I join up? I've been wanting to, but also a little afraid of jinxing the whole thing by jumping over here too soon. I got my BFP on 12/05/07 with beta 437, 12/07/07 beta 697, and 12/09/07 it jumped to 1758.
Now I don't have another MD appt until the scan on Jan 2 and I think I'm going into withdrawal a little. I just want to know that everything's OK, and if it is, how many babies am I carrying? They transferred 2 grade A blasto's.
Is anyone else having any symptoms like morning sickness? I just have the sore boobs, fatigue, and occasional waves of mild nausea. Every now & then I get mild cramps, no spotting thank goodness.
My due date from the calculator on the side is Aug 8th.

TinaO: So glad you made your way over here!! We have lots of exciting things headed our way! I keep trying not to think about whether or not I am having twins, but is so hard! I just keep thinking, if we are having 2 I want to get started right away getting things...because there is going to be so much to get!!

2ndtimer: Hello! Congrats on your BFP! Your numbers sound wonderful!
I have started to get heartburn and I have to pee all the time. No nausea, thank goodness! I have a very weak stomach so I was certain I would experience some version of morning sickness....go figure! I have had some sort of cramping since my ET. I have had no bleeding. The cramping is mainly at night, I do not feel much of anything during the day. Weird! I just keep telling myself it is little baby/babies making itself/themselfs comfy!

I hope everyone is having a wondeful holiday season! This is my best Christmas ever!!

hey 2ndtimer we have the same due date.....08/08/08 isn't that so cool!! As you can tell, had scan today, measured 9mm and heart beat was strong, back in again on 4th Jan at 9wks, only due to previous history so really pleased that they are keeping an eye.....so I'm sure we will relax a little more this time but I'm sure as the time gets nearer, I'll be a nervous wreck again!!

Having no symptons although b@@bs were sore but not so much so hence the worry but obviously it means nothing.

Su, just remember the cramping is just your body adjusting to the little one growing inside and remember you've also put it through the mill abit too - i guess though its hard not to worry, its only natural. (yeah I know this is me talking.....the one whos been worrying for the last week!!)
I'm pleased to be finally on this side with my buddy   Lets hope the others join us very soon.

TinaO - the 2nd Jan will be here in no time, thankfully with the hols in between time should fly a little quicker than normally.

Hopefully will get to know everyone real soon - omg aug seems such a long long way - I can't wait!!

nims xx

I have a due date of Aug. 16th. I had a very good beta (over 500), and at 5 wk 2 day the gestational sac measured over 8 cm. ER says that's a good size. I'm on pins & needles waiting for the heartbeat (6 wk u/s). The waiting is torture.

I felt more pregnant last week, with off/on nausea. That seems to have gone away, just getting sore bb's off/on now. I just don't "feel" pregnant. My ER puts miscarriage rate at 10% at this point. I guess I'm a "glass half full" person. Anyone else struggling with this? :?

Congrats Tennisgurl!!!
Don't stress out too much about the 2nd beta if you can help it. My 2nd beta didn't double, it was only a 63% increase and the nurse who called was SO negative sounding. I spent a couple of days really worried then I got my 3rd & it more than doubled!

Well, the morning sickness kicked in this morning. I feel like I have a hangover -room is slightly spinning, I'm hot & cold, nauseous. I hope this is as bad as it gets(yeah, right -famous last words).

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Hi Ladies, Hope you dont mind me joining. But according to IVF.ca.com my due date will be August 22nd. We did 3 5day blasts. My first beta was 203 12dp5dt. I go back tomorrow for my second beta and hope we get some good numbers. Ive had two m/c's this year, so been trying to keep positive that everything will be okay.

RE dont think multiples for us, although we were hoping for twins. However in another website, a lady had 196 beta 12dp5dt and she was prego w/twins.

So congrats on everyones bfp's. What a wonderful xmas gift we all recieved. Look forward to spending the next 9months with all you girls. :D

Hello all! Well, I flipped about some cramps I keep having that were getting worse so they let me in for a scan (so basically, I scammed a scan!) and we got to see the gestational sac and there was already a yolk sac! And it looks like we are having only one! To be honest, I was really expecting two because of my Betas: 1st Beta at 12dpo3dt was 329 and 2nd Beta at 16dpo3dt was 1,971.

Lainey - Welcome! It is so hard to know with the Beta numbers because I really thought mine were so high that there could be twins, but there was just one! Which in all reality is much better for me because I am really short and petite and they were a little concerned about me carrying more than one. It was weird, though. I was kind of disappointed at first anyway, but to see the little sac was so nice! :D Our little baby is just this little white spot....so cute!

tennisgurl - welcome to you as well! Good luck with your next Beta test!!! I am sure it will go through the roof!! :)

2ndtimer - I am lucky as I have not had much morning sickness. It lasts a few min in the morning and then just seems to go away after I eat. Oh -but the cramps! Those have been tough! :?

ebohner - Congrats! You are a few days ahead of me. Try not to worry about the symptoms! I know, I know...coming from someone like me who went running today for a scan!! But hey - every woman is different and I bet more symptoms kick in every day for all of us! :)

Hello to everyone else!!! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Hey August Buddies,
Okay, I'm breakin' down and jumping over to the 'pregnant' side. I'm due (G-w) August 12, and I have my (1st) 6w5d scan on sunday, and a bit anxious about it. I just want to see the little heartbeat(s) going strong and healthy. I have had some mild cramping, tennisgurl. It's worse at night. Just feeling a bit dizzy, nauseous, and extremely fatigued. Also, mighty bloated. Other than that, feeling well.

Rebecca, how are you? It is nice to see us both here. Wishing you MUCH luck for Jan. 2. I was surprised we didn't have the same due date. I calculated to August 12, yet we both had our first beta Dec. 5. Could be our transfer date was different? My ER was Nov. 20 and ET was Nov. 23. Doesn't matter really, just curious.

Feel well, ladies.

Hi Shari! Good to see you over here. My egg retrieval was 11/16/07 and the transfer date was 11/21/07(5 day blastocysts), so by the pregnancy calculator over on the side my due date is Aug 8th. My MD office is rather old school in that they wait until 14 days after the transfer to test, that's why are beta's were the same day. And it also explains why mine was higher than some other women who tested on day 10 or day 12.
Anyway, I'm a little nervous about the upcoming holidays. We haven't told my stepdaughter or DH's family. We are waiting until after the U/S at least. My belly already looks swollen(I think still from the IVF meds) and I'm worried someone will pick up on me not having wine with dinner or wanting to eat as much. My sister says not to worry -people are less observant than I think.
How about everyone else? Have you told friends & family yet?

Okay, I made the jump over to the preggo board! Hi ladies! SO good to see familiar names over here!

Tennisgurl, if my calculations are right, then it looks like we have the same due date! This was our first IVF too, and my first Beta was 86...so we're kind of freakishly on the same path! My first scan to see the heartbeat(s) is Friday the 28th, which would be exactly 6 weeks.

MBG, I'm having heartburn too! WTF? And I swear I pee every hour on the hour!

I'm experiencing cramping, kind of in waves at anytime of the day. As much as they don't tickle, I'm kind of happy to be feeling them b/c that's my body adjusting and making a little house for the bambino(s)!

We've shared the news with our immediate family members, but like tennisgurl we'd like to wait until 12 weeks or so to announce to others. As far as anyone taking notice that I'm not drinking, that shouldn't be a give away...b/c our close friends & family knew that I was taking certain meds to help us conceive & I've been on them for a while now (metformin).

Best of luck to everyone & Happy Holidays!

Rebecca-
Well, I ended up telling more people than I intended to. Of course my parents and sister knew right away. Then someone at work, for practical purposes, and then my best friend, cuz I REALLY wanted to. My aunt asked yesterday "soooo... anything new with the treatments?", so I told her too. Other than THAT ( ), I haven't told anyone else. It's hard, but I will wait the full three months (please G-d) to make the announcement. Your sister is probably right about people not noticing you refraining from alcohol. Try to relax and just enjoy the holidays with your family. Worst case scenario is they find out inadvertently. It happens, and it's not the end of the world.

Tennisgurl- congrats on your second beta! Great news, and good luck on your upcoming scan.

Nancy- Welcome welcome and congratulations!

Tina- Try not to worry about cramping. As you see, many of the ladies are experiencing cramping as well. I had HORRIBLE cramps last friday, so bad I was double over. I was so nervous, but the next day, my blood test revealed a healthy beta number of 16,071. So really, it's normal, especially since us IVF women put our ovaries/bodies through much more in order to get to this point.

Be well, rest up, and have a great week!
