Hi,
Nice to meet all of you! My due date is also Feb 3rd! I had the first u/s today and we could see two sacs and two yolk sacs but thats about it, no embryos or heartbeats so i am a bit sad......I know it could still be early, so hopefully next time. Any thoughts?

LB- Good luck trying to keep your good news a secret next weekend! Let us know how you do. I had my family over last night and I pretended to drink vodka and soda (really just soda) and then I switched to wine and just let the wine hit my lip. Ohh and I only poured a little in my glass so it looked like I had been drinking. Its so hard to try to convince people that you are drinking.

Gennessa- Keep us posted when you get the Beta scores back! I am so excited!

Valen03- Welcome and congrats! We could both be pregnant with twins and be due on the same day...how exciting. I wouldnt worry to much about not seeing the heart beat today. Its still very early. When do you have your next U/S?

Hi girls!

Welcome Valen - I agree, it is early. I have seen a couple gals not be able to see heartbeats yet. I am sure you will see them next time; in both sacs!

Kim - I too am on 1cc PIO in the am and suppositories at night; this is supposed to go on until week 12. Fun. I also have estrogen patches on until the US nest Tuesday.

Cookinggirl - That is so scary to hear, but I am sure everything is going to be okay. Those heartbeats are strong. I also had a girlfriend with that same MS disorder. She lost a bunch of weight the first trimester and ended up on anti nausea medication that they give to chemo patients that cost about $10 a pop. I felt awful for her. They say you usually follow in your mom's footsteps if that helps. My mom had some queasiness but for the most part said she never felt better in her life. That is what I am pulling for!

As for telling people, well my DH hasn't done very well in that department. We were supposed to only tell our families and core group of friends but he just can't contain himself. He just blurts it out to random people. I keep telling him we are supposed to wait but he says he knows everything is going to be fine. It is hard to be upset with him for being so dang happy. Every time I call him he says, "Hi Preggo".

Hope you all are having a great day!

Hi girls,

I feel young again reading all your posts. I am so glad to be here with you all! Rubylee, your DH is funny and I wish I had a husband like that. Mine won't even want tell anyone until he holds the live baby! Last time when I was pg with our DD, I had to ask him to tell his parents so that they would have just enough time to buy tickets travel all the way from France to here on time! He also refused to love DD before her birth (rarely you would find him talking to her through my belly.) Fortunately he felt in love with DD right at the minute that he was holding her - he held her before I did since it was a c-section and I was almost dying at that moment. And he is an excellent father ever since.

Anyways, I prefer to wait at least to the end of the first trimester but this is just personal choice. I can hardly hold even now, but I will try.

I basically want to eat nothing not even to drink water. However, once I do, I can hold the food and water down, with nausea, of course. If this pg is similar to last time, I will have this annoyingly mild but persistent MS the whole time - I in fact think that I have never had back my good appetite (DH used to call me hyperphagic!!!) ever since the first pg. It just seem to be more obvious now when I know that I am going through another pg. This might even be psychologic instead of physiologic!

But I do wish you all won't have to go through a bad MS.

Velan03

I only saw the first HB of my first pg at 7wk2d. Wish you luck and see 2 beautiful HBs next time!

Cookinggirl,

Did your nurse tell you also that vanishing twins normally does not happen to two fetuses with equally healthy and strong HBs? I hope so! Look at it this way, you have at least 88% chance to carry twins to term!

Hi ladies -

Well I just heard from the Dr. and my new beta level is 327. They said this is a good high number. My next appt is June 18 the 1st u/s.

I have one question what does DH stand for? If it is husband then my DH is glowing. I am kind of taking it slow I have told family and friends that new were did the IVF but it is just so early that I dont want to have to go back and tell people later if there is bad news. But my husband you wold like he is the pg one. He cant seem to stop smiling and every chance he gets he tries to touch me, I have to keep slapping his hand away. but its nice to know that he is there for me and happy.

Talk to you all tomorrow.

Hello ladies...I had ER on 5/16 and ET 5/20. We trf 2 and found out we were prego on the 30th of May. betas as follow 10dp5dt=150, 13dp5d=323, 16dp5dt=1178. We are having our u/s Monday 16th.

As far as what i dealt with in the tww. I had spotting/af cramping since 5dp5dt and it actually lasted until first beta...the spotting that is. It stopped, but the AF cramps are still there, but they come and go and i may not have them on some days. I'm 6weeks today...based off lmp. So, we are praying to see one or two embryos in there with everything there is to see. I've had bouts of nausea and dry heaving.

Gennessa - great Beta number!! Congrats!

Thechosenone- Welcome to the group!

Children - We are on the same page. I think that there is an 80% chance that both babies will be fine! I like your positive attitude. As for DH...he is really making this no fun for me. First he didnt want to tell anyone our good news and I talked him into telling our parents. Then he only wanted to tell them that we are pregnant not that we are expecting twins. He doesnt want to tell anyone else for a while. I completely understand where he is coming from but not even telling our parents...I thought that was crazy. He is sucking all the excitement out of it for me. But he would rather be safe than sorry and I can understand that. So we have only told our parents so far. We agreed to tell our imediate family after the next U/S. I tell ya...first I thought the 2ww was horrible. Then I thought that waiting for the 2nd beta seemed even longer and then waiting for the forst U/S seemed like a lifetime...waiting for the next u/s better go by fast or I might pull my hair out. Incase you cant tell I am not so good at keeping secrets!

Anyway, I am going away for the weekend so I hope everyone has a happy and safe weekend! Talk to you on Monday! I cant wait to hear more baby developments!

Thanks cooking for the congrats! And event though you cant scream it off hte roof tops feel free to share any news with us. I will scream it off the roof for you.

My only concern right now is I am so hoping for both to haven taken but I have read so many others beta levels with twins and theirs are higher then mine. I mean one is a blessing and begger can not be chosers but I would love to not have to do this again.

Oh and for all of you I am on the same both for this waiting six days here two weeks there its crazy and on top of it all we have to wait nine months for it finally happen. But it seems some Dr's wait longer then others. My sec beta was yesterday and I only have to wait six days for my 1st u/s. Is that normal??

Also I have one question I have started spoting very faintly, has one one else experienced this? The Dr. seems to think its ok but I am just so nervous every little thing cuases me to question.

Gennessa - I hate the waiting too! I had my first u/s 1 week after my second beta, so I dont think 6 days is uncommon.

We had our second u/s today and we got to see the heartbeat!!! I feel a lot better and it definitely made everything so much more real! I am measuring 6 weeks, 3 days. I may even get to stop the PIO shots - I had to do one myself last night and I did not enjoy that!

Sorry so short but I have to get some things done at work. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

LB, congrats to see heart heat! It is one, right? I updated in the list but just wanted to double check with you.

Cookinggirl, have a nice weekend away!

Gennessa, it is common for us ivf girls to want twins-I was like that also before I had my DD. But now we have a 16-month old home and plus my age, I am very afraid to have twins! Won't know until Monday, dreadful waiting, as you said!

All the preggos here, have a nice weekend!

LB - Yay heartbeat. That must of felt so good to see. I can't wait to see it. This is all making me very nervous; I just want to know that my little one is thriving.

Gennessa - I am amazingly exhausted too. I slept almost 10 hours last night and would do anything to be back in there now. I too would love to see two sacs in there. We had to do a biopsy on my DH (which stands for Dear Husband) and only got 26 sperm. It was tough on him. There are many reasons I don't know if we could do this again, that biopsy being one, and paying out of pocket (over $20,000 now because of both of our procedures!) is the other. I will be over the moon for any healthy baby, but 2 would be incredible!

Hope the rest of you are doing well and are getting through Friday the 13th!

Hello ladies,
I have seen several of you while on the June cycle buddies board, but like you I am now over here! I have my info on my signature for specifics. I have been just dead tired at times in the middle of the day, so sleep for almsot 1-2 hrs. I am lucky in that I SAH. Almost no cramping to speak of, and have been eating normally with no nausea to speak of as of now.

If I calculate my due dates online via an IVF calendar, I am due Feb 11th, though will wait for the first U/S to confirm a date. I am on daily PIO shots (IM-DH gets to keep doing those...), and will likely continue until 10 wks along.

We are very excited for our news, and have told no one. A few close know we were starting IVF cycles, however before we ever started this our personal preference was to tell no one until after our first trimester has completed. My DH rubs my belly every night, and I talk to it and rub it every day

I am so very happy for you all, and finding out exciting news is always good to keep up our PMA! I am just looking forward to our next milestone which is seeing its growth inside!

Have a relaxing weekend and congrats to you all!! How exciting to see pictures and see/hear heartbeats of your little beans!
Our precious Liam was born 2/4/09!
