no hair.. lol. thank god. only side effect was transitional anxiety- ie. as it transitioned into my system (i think the first 2weeks it was) i felt like i had drank ALOT of coffee.
hmmm. that's good for me to hear about those 'bad results', as i'm already thinking of what i'll do if i need to do another fresh cycle (these are our only 2 frosties)

do you mean your FSH is high?
my protocal was 450ui of gonal F (225 2x day), then cetrotide and luveris was added in (can't remember amounts but i can pull out my old file if you want that info- just lemme know)
it was flare, so no down-reg...just started on day 3 after period.
trying 'a little' sounds like a good idea to me..what do you have to lose right? if i was you i might go 50mg instead. you've already done so many cycles so why not try something totally different?
if i remember your history correctly you produce enough eggs right? so quality is an issue? cause i think the research i did on dhea was that although it did improve quantity- the biggest impact was quality. i'm not current on all of this though cause the last time i looked at it was summer of 2008...

Ny4thtry - Sorry this one didn't work. On to cycle # 15, I don't know how you keep going on. You have a lot more strength then i do. Hoping and praying that December it will finally work. I was wondering, did you try aCGh for this past cycle? I was thinking of doing it for my donor cycle but Dr. Sher said that mCGh is better while other Dr. say aCGh is just as good. I am so tired of seeing one Dr. say one thing and another say the exact opposite. Makes it too hard to make a decision. I would rather do aCGh cause then i could transfer in the same cycle.
Karen - Hey how are you doing? I see you are doing a FET. its weird seeing all the old timers on the board. Not so good that all of you are coming back for your second and some of us are still trying for our first. I would never have imagined that this would be such a long journey. Wishing all of you the best of luck!!

I produce eggs but it has gone down over the past year.. this past cycle i only got 4.. but they also screwed around with the protocol.
So you had no lupron.. but were you on BCPs before? I think that is what i may do the next time.. coming up on 43 im really running out of time.. but until there are no more eggs i am determined to keep going
Chris i did do aCGH and had 2 CGH normal embryos that didnt make a baby.. Dr Fisch is losing confidence in CGH or so he said yesterday,,, so i am just going for it and nit risking any damage to the embros by biopsying them.
I just cant give up
Me 43 dh 65
6 cycles 3 chemicals
13+ banking cycles. 2 failed transfers to Surro
12/9 transfer 2 hatching blasts to surro beta 12/ 15
no lupron or bcps.. i did them the first cycle that got cancelled. then it was appparent i didn't 'need' lupron or bcp's as my egg supply was low. my clinic calls this part of the 'flare' protocal.
hi chris!! i admire your perseverance and i'm glad you haven't given up

Makes sense. I think genetic testing to improve success rates is a waste of money for those with modest cohort size. It also inflicts a little damage on the embryos.
Would using donor egg be "giving up" for you? You chance of success would be much greater.

Ghost - would you think it would be beneficial to do genetic testing on a donor egg cycle. The donor I have chosen is 25 and is a proven donor. Her last cycle they retrieved 30 eggs, though don't know how many of those were mature. The only reason i am considering doing testing is to up my chances of transferring that one embryo that will make a baby on the first try. i don't want to and can't go through a year of doing FEt's just to get that right one.
Ny - If you have the will power and the money to keep with your own eggs, go for it. The best part about donor eggs are that the donors are young and time is not a big consideration.

My clinic would recommend PGD for screening out genetic disease or for gender selection, not for increasing pregnancy rates, unless there is some reason to expect genetic or chromosome issues (like recurrent pregnancy loss). I can't imagine our doctors recommending PGD for a donor cycle using a proven egg donor.

chris- you're donor sounds awesome. i'm very excited for you. and i wouldn't blame you for asking on PGD.. with all the waiting you've been through- i'd ask too.
