OK - Surrogates beta was today

Thank you guys that have been pulling for me all along.. I thought i would give an update. After ER # 14 yes thats right 14..

We transfered 1 fresh and 2 frozen blasts into my surrogate. She had her first beta today 5.5 days past 6 day transfer (transfer was at 6pm eastern time and beta was 8:15am) and it was 6... So very low.

Not too optimistic about this cycle will know more friday obviously... but it gives me hope to keep trying..

I have been following your story for awhile and I am sorry that her beta wasn't higher! Please update us on Friday. You have such a positive attitude, which is so refreshing!

Seems like you had a 6 last time, IIRC, and it did not work out.

I'll say it again, there is nothing wrong with a 6 at 5 days after transfer.

remember me?! i'm so happy to see you on here...and i'm hearing what ghost said- this is 5 days after transfer..so it's very early and there's nothing wrong with that number. i'm TOTALLY rooting for you!

my clinic has only ever tested 16 or 17 days past transfer, so this is very early.

Karen have started Dhea 25 mg per day as well as melotonin.. Next cycle dec..

Ghost I think it's a numbers game and I just have to keep trying... Any additional advice...

hmm.. i did 75 mg dhea each day (50 in morning, 25 at night)...which i think is what's usually recommended. my clinic was against dhea so i did my own research and followed what the NY center for human reproduction did.. they have tons of info on their website. best of luck

ps. my research also indicated that at least 7 weeks at this dose was needed for results

I met with Gleicher at CHR .. he kind of scared me and my ap in ny has seen some bad results if there is too much DHEA.
so i thought i would try a little....my clinic ais also against it.. did you get more body hair?
