Angellica welcome back :-) I am sorry you have been having a lot of pain. Hopefully it will stop hurting soon. I feel your pain about being huge. I too feel very large, but did start out heavier than I am used to. Do you plan to find out the sex of your baby? When is your next scan? Have you started on the baby's room yet? Come on girl you have to get us up to speed :-)

Thook I will say a prayer for you and your journey home. Please becareful going home. I am very fortunate to be able to work from home if need be. During that ice storm a few weeks back I just worked from home all week. It was nice not having to get dressed :-)

cmoscar- I hope everything turns out okay with your husband's job. It sounds like you are very fortunate to be okay for sometime even if he does get laid off. Many people are not that fortunate. We actually went through the same thing in Oct. my husband is only working part time and I am kinda liking it, he is much better about doing my hunny do lists :-) We too have a piece of land we are trying to sale and if that goes through he probably won't go back to work full time :-)

Kim - BF was a major concern for me when I orginally thought I was PG with twins. I want to be able to relish the experience of being a mom this time because I had my other children at a young age and took it for granted and I was afraid with twins I would be so over welmed. But a friend that had twins told me this. If you want to BF you will if you don't you could come up with any number of excuses not too. Society makes it very convient not to BF and many mothers with just one find some reason not too. She said it was challenging to BF too but it was also challenging to BF just one and twins are just challenging :-) You will be fine. Just like I am sure many have told you, if you have problems get some help to work them out instead of immediately giving up. Lots of women that BF have to get guildence from outside resources.

Take care everyone :-)

Thanks for the warm welcome it is great to see all of you doing so well...apologies as my memory is mashed at the moment I read and forget! within seconds...not good as I have too teach this week and have gone a wee bit thick..

Snow... (now I remembered that!!!) you guys are so lucky we have had a tiny bit but not enough to block roads! the sun was shining today and felt quite warm, not that I went outside for long I have spent all day cooking! I have turned really domesticated since being pgt.....

Thook - wahey no stretchmarks you lucky woman, I have none either..yet! WE WILL NOT GET THEM EITHER!!!!! I am glad you are doing well.

Cowgirl - I hope your ankle gets better soon, like it's all you need..

Cmoscar - Thanks for the advice, I am glad your pain has now gone, once diagnosed I will deal with it using complementary medicine hopefully, I have had enough chemicals in me to last a lifetime!!! fancy them telling you that it was a miscarriage, thats what they think mine may be as I have an emergency ultrasound scheduled for tomorrow, I know Branston is doing fine! It is just me!! :D

Crasmus - Thanks for the advice, I am just running a nice warm bath as we speak.....the pain asn't been that bad today I am sure it will subside in due course, the pain isn't sciatic, it is in the left abdo region just above the groin near the left ovary, just gets worse when I put weight on my left foot!!very strange  I also get bad pain in my right side which is especially bad on coughing, sneezing or turning in bed. REST THAT BACK!!!

Well as for me, we are off to a personal sexing scan on Friday even if I see what Branston (as in ickle pickle  ) is tomorrow my DH hasn't seen a scan since the day we found out our real bad news so it is worth the £60. We haven't done the nursery or bought too much yet...well I have a draw full of clothes! and adraw full of soaps, wipes etc... and a few pink items including teddies!! which is worrying me as my Ma thinks it is a boy! and I did 3 of those sex predictor tests online today for a bit of fun and they all said boys, not long to wait until we know! We are so excited!!!!! I am off shopping at the weekend, holding off is killing me!!

Anyway I must get to bed soon so chat later

Take care and apologies if I have missed anyone!

Hello Girls... well I'm home and safe. My work let us all go at 2:30pm... it took me about an hour to get home (however, I did stop at the party store to pick up Valentine's for my work employees & look at baby shower invites). DH wasn't happy that I stopped.... I think he was worrying about me (how sweet).

Angellica- I have also been cooking up a storm lately... I just made banana bread the other day and I'm making cinnamon bread tonight for my work employees. However, I can't keep all the goodies in the house or else I'll eat them... so I have been baking for my work employees and DH's work employees. I wish you no stretch marks either.... actually I wish us all NO STRETCH MARKS!!!!! Good luck at your scan tomorrow... can't wait to hear what your having.

Cowgirl- how is your ankle doing?

Kim- how was your appointment today? Hope everything is cooking nicely in there. Also I talked to Pam about your baby shower and I'm going to check my schedule and if I'm free I'll be joining her & Shannon for the weekend... should be fun. Are you registered yet?

Well ladies I hope the rest of you are all doing well... chat w/ you later!

Hello gals!

I've been meaning to post all day...we got a big snow/ice storm here in Ohio today, so I did manage to pull off another snow day. In fact, it's dinner time here and I'm still in my pj's! :D I did manage to clean house today, and it was desperately needed. Tonight, I just hope to chill, watch American Idol, and cross my fingers for another day off work tomorrow! [I know, you all probably think I'm just a horrible teacher--ha ha--really I like my job, I promise! But when it comes to snow, I'm just like the kids! ]

Angellica!!!! Welcome sweetie! I'm so glad your little one is doing well! Your story was pretty amazing. Is an A and E an emergency room? I love your British lingo...I just need a dictionary at times! I'm sorry to hear about your pain. I hope it gets better soon. Good luck at your u/s FRiday. I'm sure all will be well.

Colleen--Take it easy, gal! Kudos to you for shoveling snow. I usually do our shoveling, but since being pg, I've refused. My DH misses my help, but hey, I think it's the least he can do... I hope all works out with your sis' wedding. Vegas would be lots of fun! Hopefully you can make it!?

Nicola--Good luck with the move. How exciting!

Cowgirl--Yikes! I might have to force you onto couch rest! Your history of falls is amazing...please be careful...we don't want any early arrivals around here! I hope your ankle gets better and fast.

Tasha--I would love, love, love for you to come to Ohio in April! It would be so neat to meet you! I hope you got out of work early today. Be careful going home....

Cowgirl and Racheal--Thanks for the info about BFing. I'm just going to plan on going for it, trails ablazing! I figure that if I'm tough enough to go through all the fertility @#$@# I went through, then BFing should be a joy! Right?

Rach--Sorry to hear about your hubby's company. I will pray that he keeps his job. You two were very wise to hold onto the Florida property, though. My DH and I actually own some rental properties, and he'd like to invest in Florida someday. He swears that anywhere is better than Ohio! Keep us posted as to your situation. BTW--If I do have a girl (or two?), I totally agree with you about raising her to be a dirty, explorative, little gal! I used to play with toads as a little girl, so she's got good genes for that!

As for me-- I was SUPPOSED to have an OB appt today, but they cancelled due to the weather. Ugh. Now, I'll have to call tomorrow, along with all the other patients and try to get a new appt sometime this century. I'm really anxious to see the OB, so I can get an US. It's been almost 8 weeks, and I'm itching to see my two babies! Hopefully, I'll be able to get a new appt. soon. As for size, my belly decided to expand a TON this past weekend. My SIL told me I'm pretty big for someone who's just shy of 5 months...After holding back from smacking her, I reminded her that I have two babies in there! [I love my SIL, but sometimes she's clueless about what to say to a hormonal pregnant woman. BTW--my butt is still smaller than hers...hee, hee! Horrible, I know! Okay, I'll be nice now. ] As for cravings, I really haven't been having any to report. I'm definitely friends with veggies again, while I can't really tolerate many greasy foods, which is a good thing, considering my size! ha ha!

I hope everyone else is doing great! For those of you in the snow...stay warm! For those of you in warmer places, enjoy it!

Almost forgot--I have been having one weird craving....Coca Cola. I know, I know, caffeine is bad. I've never been a coke drinker, and I don't drink coffee, so I'm doing well on the caffeine front. It's just funny that now I seem to want Coke all the time! Go figure...

Kim- bummer that your appointment got cancelled, but lucky you for having another snow day... If tomorrow is anything like today you'll be having another snow day. I also agree about raising my little girl to play in the dirt, explore everything & be very active. I don't want her to be the girly girl that doesn't want to get dirty.... So you didn't answer my question about being registered?

Tasha--Sorry, I think you and I were posting at the same time! 8) Glad you made it home okay. As for registering, I haven't even gotten there yet, but I'll have to soon. I plan to by the end of Feb, beginning of March. But, silly girl, don't you even think of checking it out! Just having you at my shower would be gift enough! Or, If you're baking so much, just send down a loaf of banana bread...my DH and I love that stuff! :D

Hey Girls,

I know we are suposed to mbe happy, but I seem to be stuck in a rutt. After two night in a row of dealing with my husband's panic attacks, I am finally caving in and feeling sorry for myself. I keep looking at the insurance and costs we will be facing and I am shocked. I am also afraid to plan for anything because what if. I am in complete limbo. I feel so very lost and there is not end in sight. My husband's company is not telling when they will announce the people that are being laid off. Their response is simply, "It will be done quickly and with dignity" Not to be rude, but why tell us at all and make us wait for an undetermined amount of time to find out iif our lives are changing or not. I have avoided posting since yesterday because I was hoping to pull myself out of the rubble, but I do not seem to be doing a very good job. I am at a loss for words. I have to stay strong around my husband, but when I am alone, all I do is cry and wonder what is going to happen. I wish I could just fly away and forget about all of it, but this is the real world. Oh well, I am sorry to bring you all down, but I just need to vent.

I hope everyone is doing well.

hi girls... we are back from my ob appointment.. different because DH was not there and i had my 3 year old to entertain.... but things went ok... he said that he really doesn't want me to travel to vegas at the end of april as i will be 32 or 33 weeks then and he lets "normal" people travel up till the 30th week or so, but thinks that my BP will be up by then, as it shoots up around 30 or 31 weeks, and if it was up, then i would not be able to go anyway.... he said if it was life or death, he would think about it, but really doesn't want me to go... now i need to see if my sister is willing to wait or even go earlier... say march... i'll have to let her know. it would be a bummer to miss it! :( :( other then that... the appointment went fine, i gained 1lb and have to do the glucose test again in 3 weeks... after our next appointment we are going to see him every 2 weeks...

tasha- glad that you got to go home early yesterday.. it's cute how things now DH worries about, yet before it was not big deal... DH did the dishes last night and told me to rest on the sofa.... it's not that he doesn't do the dishes, but it was cute how he said it...

Kim- you are probably still in your PJ's again... i think that you guys were supposed to get a ton of snow... not sure where in OH you are... my grandparents lived in OH... toledo then perrysburg... i do know if that anywhere near you... they lived on erie and loved to fish and boat.. .we went there a few times a year untill they passed away in 2003.. your butt comment had me laugh... some poeple just do not know what to say... i got a "wow, you're HUGE" comment from the neighbor... my butt is smaller then her too.... coke... i'm loving a fountain pop... rootbeer is my favorite becuase of the lack of caffine, but anything will do... that is one of my sugars that i could not give up.... i've tried to cut back, but i love it!!! did you get an appointment.... mine was canceled yesterday too, and actually i got in today... that was not too bad... hope that you can get one soon to have an US... do you get an offical US around week 20 or so???

angelica- as for cooking, i'm like tasha and am a baker... mostly sweets and bread.... stuff that i shouldn't be eating.... DH said that is why he has gained more weight then me this pregnancy... it's funny hope that your pain is getting better.... good luck on your scan.... amybe you'll have a boy, so i will not be the only one so far having a boy.... it seems like there are so many girls!!!

nance- hope that you guys are not getting a ton of snow tthere... this storm has been a big one for many people..

rachael- hope that things work out with your hubbies job... god has a reason for all things... who knows what it may bring, but you'll work through it... glad that you have the FL property...

take care all

rachael - my heart goes out to you. But remember even if your husband was not in this situation all the insurance and expenses would be there anyways. It is kind of depressing when you think about in general. You are just being forced to think about it now with the fear of the unknown. I can relate because I was in a similar boat as your husband just a couple months before I started IVF. I was fortunate and found another job before I was laid off. Fear of the unknown stinks, but just think you are in better shape than most. But I know sometimes it just doesn't seem fair when you work so hard to have a nice home and life. Please know we are hear for you, kinda like marriage good and bad :-)

Hope your husband finds out soon so you can hopfully relax.

Hi gals!

Another snow day here, but I managed to get out of my pj's this morning....and I got another OB appt.! Yeah! I went today around 11:00, and the doc says things are looking good. I've gained 3 pounds since last month, but she says I'm doing really well and can gain more. However, I don't think I need to. I also got an US, and the babies are looking good! They were moving around a bunch, but all the necessary stuff was there. The tech could see what each baby's gender was, but she didn't tell us--even though it was tempting! I think I might have seen a little hot dog in there, but I can barely tell when there's an arm.....I go again for another check up on March 15th, and my next US is March 19th. Yeah!

Racheal--I was so sorry to hear about you today. I can't even imagine the stress you must be under. Please try to take it easy right now. You can't control the job situation, so just have faith. To be honest, my DH got riffed from NCR back in 2000, and that situation spurred him to test out his entrepeneurial skills--he's owned his own business since! So, sometimes really bad things can be catalysts for change, and bring about good stuff! I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya.

Colleen--Glad to hear your appt. went well too. I'm sorry the doc won't let you travel, but it's probably for the best. I hope your sister can be flexible with her plans, so that you can join her. (Is she your big or little sis? If it were my little sister, I'd be forcing her to work around my babies' births--ha ha!) I'm sure all will work out for ya. My grandparents had a cottage on lake Erie, and we went every summer to vacation. Even though they've both passed, we still go up to the cottage a few times a year. It's a blast! Not sure if I'll be able to this year, though. This would be my first summer EVER of not going to lake Erie! I live in Dayton, and that's easily a 3 hour drive. If the twins can travel well, then we'll be taking them up there for their first swim in August! :D

Hope everyone else is well! I should be back to work tomorrow--it's parent conference night, so I highly doubt they'd call off school.

I'm off to take my dog out to play in the snow--he loves it!

Hello Girls.... is this day over with yet or what! Talk about a crazy busy day at work....

Racheal- I'm so sorry to hear your in the dumps today sweetie. However, I think you have every right to be. You don't need this added stress right now. Hopefully your husband will find out sooner than later so at least your mind can be put to ease (if that's possible). Just know that we're here for you no matter what.

Colleen- glad to hear you were able to reschedule your OB appointment for today. Also glad to hear that everything is good. Too bad that you can't travel to Vegas for your sister's wedding, but it's probably for the best. I'd try and make her change her plans so that you can be a part of it... I know I'd do that for my sister. Good luck.... so are you just loving this snow?

Kim- your a lucky duck for having another snow day.... Also I'm glad that you were able to get into your OB today for an appointment. Glad to hear that the babies are doing well.... so are you guys not wanting to find out the sexes?

Well I hope everyone else is going well... I'm out of here for the night! With you girls tomorrow.

Tasha

PS- my little one is kicking up a storm now.... sometimes a little to much. But I asked for it!

You are all so wonderful! I am feeling much better after reading you posts. I even went out and slurged. DH and I had decided not to do anything for Valentines because of the situation and I decided I had to do something. I went and got him a card and wrote a very long emotional letter to him telling him how much I love him and how I am in for the long haul. Good or bad, I am here for him. He cried as he read it and of course so did I. We vented a little with each other and now I think we both feel a little better. I am not sure why, but it seems like we really needed to just be emotional. I hope the rest of you have a romantic and loving evening. We are going to go cuddle up and watch a movie on the tv and eat food I should not eat! Happy Valentines Girls!

Keep warm, safe and round!
