Hello Ladies:

Vita/GailP: My scan went well! I saw the little beanie move his arms and legs. It was so amazing!!!! I am having the 1st trimester screening this coming Thursday, so I will get to see him/her again.

Gail: I will have a scan at 12.5 weeks and then will be released by my RE to my OB/GYN. I don't know when I will have a scan after that.

Susan: Happy Birthday!

Hayley: Congrats on making it to 12 weeks! I have 1.5 weeks more and I will be there myself.

Jo: I'm going to find out the sex of my baby too. I guess I will have to wait until around week 16 for that.

Vita: It is great to be able to see your beanie (s). I feel a little spoiled too, since I went this past week and I'm going next week ant the week after. I will get to see my little guy 3 weeks in a row. Then I'm sure to go through a dry spell.

Hello to everyone else that I have missed. I'm tired, as DH and I just got back home from an overnight trip.

Take care all,
Tammy

I know it's only normal but today I'm feeling really anxious. I know I'm only 9 weeks and not even out of the "danger zone" yet but I've been reading my pregnancy books and they are talking about the tests which are coming up and telling us to think about the birth. When I had my 4 year old it was just a horrific birth (sense the sterlisation) I know it can be recitified by having a section but that scares me too.

I'm also worried if there's a problem with the baby. I know I'm not old but I'm older than I was, also being diabetic puts you at a higher risk of birth defects. My other two are ok. Well sort of, my three year old has considerable reflux and lung disease. She's going in to Great Ormond Street for her operation on 15 September. I know after her operation she will be "normal" (well normal for someone who will never be able to vomit or burb again) but just thinking the two years we've had with her being so ill and now I'm pregnant again I'm worrying how I'm going to cope.

I know all this undue worrying - does it ever stop??!!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Jo

hi everyone - i have a lot of catching up to do! I'm still on strict bedrest and typing from supine position is kinda hard but I am so happy DH figured out how to set this up in the bedroom for me. I feel connected again!!

We've had a scary week - 3 more new bleeding episodes and with each one I'm sure it's all over ... but luckily scan yesterday showed babies doing well. The hemorage (sp?) has grown but at least it hasnt overtaken the babes yet. Dr says it's worrisome - could go either way but we're doing all we can to keep my uterus calm and hoping that as the babies grow they'll push the blood out. I'm flat on my back in bed with legs elevated for most part, tho dr said I can turn on my side at night if that helps with back pain. He said this could last up to 4-5 weeks .... can't think about that, just take it a day at a time and be thankful with each passing day without miscarraige.

cant tell you how glad I am to catch up with you all - take care, racquel

Hi Racquel

That's sounds awful, I'm trying really hard not to picture you with your legs in the air and you typing away!! lol

I'm really hoping that the babies grow and push that blood out the way and you can get back to enjoying your pregnancy.

Best of luck with everthing and keep us posted.

Racquel
keep hanging on i really do feel for you. You certainly must have cabin fever. But at least you cant do something that you shouldnt when you are in bed rest. I see things around the house that need doing and find it hard to stop myself from doing them.

take care

.Hi racquel. dont worry i no its easier said than done, but the exact thing happened to me. Im also expecting twins, at 7 weeks i woke up bleeding with really bad period pain i was certain i was having a miscarrage  :( Then the bleeding turning very red and very heavy. i phoned the midwife and she sent me to the hospital staight away, they scaned me and everything was fine. both babies were beating away, i was shocked. they told me there was a blood clot around one of the babies sacs. it was twice the size of the babies. they asured me it couldnt harm the babies. unfortuanatly like you i just had to let the bleeding carry on till it stopped, it eventually turned brown, but i bled for about 2 weeks. the bleeding stopped, and im 12 weeks now and feel brilliant. The best advice i can give is rest rest and rest. i stayed in bed for about 10 days luckily for me i got bad morning sickness at the same time and didnt feel like getting out of bed anyway. i really believe someone was watching over me and gave me morning sickness to keep me in bed. other wise i would have got up. im fine now and so will you be. just please rest. please dont worry your babies are fine the bleeding isnt coming from them they are safe in there little sacs.
oh drink loads and loads of water.
youll be great in a few days.

Racquel,

You poor thing! I'm so glad that your babies are doing well. I had a friend that had a major bleeding episode and they found that she had a low lying placenta. She is doing fine now. Hopefully, you will be back up and around soon. Please take care of yourself.

Regards,
Tammy

Hello Everyone!!

I hope everyone is doing well....

Kareen~~ so glad there was no kidney infection going on there, that is very very painful.... and wow that toastie does sound so yummy!

Susan~~ Happy Be-lated Birthday, i hope you enjoyed your dinner with DH...

Hayley~~WOOOHOOOOOO we both have made it to two weeks!!!! Im so excited for the two of us and everyone else on this thread i wish everyone so much luck,.. Hayley if you and i were to have lunch one day after we deliver there would be 5 kids to look after... ISNT that just amazing!

Tammy~~ Im so glad your scan went well and you had a chance to see your beanie move around his/her arms and legs thats fantastic, but i still envy the fact that you will see your beanie for three weeks in a row, good for you enjoy it!!!! Im actually going to see a perinatologist this thursday as well, this is a special doctor that handles high risk multiple pregnancies, so i guess my OB felt this new doctor qualifies better! I just hope everything goes well!

Racquel~~~ i hope your bleeding has gone away by now and you are feeling a bit less anxious. It must be terribly scary. I remember when Hayley had a similar situation it scared all of us on the thread. But keep her as your sign of hope and have faith that everything will be well because it will be...

Jo~~ how are you and your beanie? How wonderful you already have 2 miracles at home, by the way i love your daughters name Emma..

Gail~~ Did you find out how many beanie(s) you have??? I wish you the best of luck!

OK wonderful ladies i hope to hear goodnews from all of you!!

Vita,

Good luck with your upcoming appointment. My RE is slowing weaning me off of the progesterone shots. I hope to be totally off of it in a week or so.

I love the photos, you two look great. I daren't post mine, it's as big as Kristi's already!

I've got the midwife this morning so I'm looking forward to that. Going to tell her all my concerns and that I definately want a section!

I've booked in to have the nuchal fold screening, that's on 1 September.

Feeling much better now. Still struggling to sleep but at least I'll be prepared for when the baby comes! Boobs are quite as sore as they have been but still sore. I got on the scales at my friend's house yesterday. I hope they're wrong as I've put on nearly a stone and a half since the start of treatment! :( I know a lot of it is the insulin and as I'm now on more than double than I was that won't help, going to talk to the midwife about dieting too!

Hope you are all well

Speak soon

Jo
