Hey

Post by stephjim »

Hey guys!! I thought I would post in here and say hi to everyone. I am waiting to do my third IUI the beginning of December. I had to skip this month after having two months of failures. I have to have surgery on my hand and wanted to opt to sleep opposed to being awake while they do it. I have been taking 100 mg Clomid and have been getting 2-4 good size follicles the past two months. It is just not working. My husband has poor morphology so I just don't know if IUI is going to work at all, but I promised we would do 3 times and then IVF and I will be doing IVF with ICSI if this next time does not work. I don't want to take any chances since I am paying out of pocket. I am feeling kind of blue skipping a month. There are so many women at work getting pregnant right now and it just sucks to see them all. I keep trying to say hey, I will be there soon, but it is hard when you get failure after failure. Just looking to meet more people on this site and learning their experiences. I am usually on the Insemination area.

Hi me again

Was in work today, study day but went in at lunch time, just as well as i have been up all night and am exhausted. Back to normal tomorrow and working all weekend but will take it easy.

Got a call from adoption woman, appointment is on the 14th, our first visit.

Steph/Jim - Welcome aboard. hope we can help you alone, the girls are fab here and are full of advice. Good luck, i know its tough with everyone getting pregnant round about us all but we are here to shout, cry or laugh with.

Thanks girls for all my hugs and your kind thought for my op, what would i do without out you all.

Ok will catch up after shift tomorrow. Going to see the counsellor so should be in tears again---hope not but my body feels 90% recovered but emotionally i'm only about 50% just now---just takes time eh.

Speak tomorrow

Love Jen x

hi,

Jen1d - so glad your op went well and hope that you get the all clear from the biopsy. You may well have recovered physically but all this takes the wind out of your sails so rest and take it easy - go and give it to the counsellor!!

stephjim - hi and welcome - it sucks doesn't it when it seems everyone else around you is pg - so you've come to the right place. I'm doing IVF ISCI purely because I have a feeling my DH swimmers and my eggs just don't get on!!

Jenbabes - 2 more sleeps - so pleased to hear that the spotting stopped - such a good signa and can't wait to see that BFP !! Bring it on.......!!

Beachbaby - 2 embies back home - sure hope they are snuggling in nicely!

Steph - keep those beta's rising - really really pleased

Stantala - it was so nice to see you too on Sunday, although I did have the bout of blues on Monday (not because of you) but it brought it all back - think I had buried alot of my emotions since the m/c and monday I was a weeping willow! However that made up my mind and today I started round 3!! Decided I couldn't wait until Feb, just had visions of a big clock hanging over my head ticking away and felt that each month I left it, the further my dreams were - if that makes sense!!
anyhow how was your week back at work - hope they are looking after you!

Becky - hun sending you big hugs across the irish pond - hate to read you feeling so blue - take all the time you need - you know where we all are.

Icsi - think it must a US programme never seen it over here (john + Kate) but wow - imagine that !!

As for me - I've started again today - wwooo hooo - AF arrived this morning - had baseline scan this pm - and bang - 1st injection this evening. On menopur in the eve and then from Sat start taking cetrotide in the mornings. Have first scan on Monday and all being well EC will be on 14th - it is all happening so quickly - don't think it sunk in and nearly forgot my injection this eve duh!!

hugs to all

Steph - CONGRATS!!!! Wish I could do sparklies, but you know the thought is there
:D Like Carolyn said, the HPT manufacturing companies will probably have to shut down now.

JenB - One more sleep! Soo excited for you.

Carolyn, hope you're doing well with the patches.

Jend - glad you're feeling better (physically) after the op. I know it was probably frustrating, and there are no simple answers. Keep going strong as you have been.

Beachbaby - PUPO - hope you're taking care of yourself. Bet those embies are snuggling up and trying to stick.

nimble, you sound excited to have started your cycle. How is it going with the meds. Don't you forget to take them!

Stephjim - welcome to this thread. Its been my lifeline this year. Everyone is so wonderful, supportive and helpful.

Becky - you poor babe. You've never sounded so down before. In fact you are the one spreading cheer and smiles around. I do hope that whatever it is goes away soon and that you feel like yourself again.
((((((((( HUGS ))))))))))))))

ICSI girl - you are MAD MAD MAD, but in the NICEST possible way.

Sorry to anyone I've missed. Got to get back to work again.

Take care

Hi Girls

Stephjim
Image
Good to see you over here from the iui thread. This is a great place to hang out!

Gill - I'm doing well thanks. Not too many side-effects from meds yet and happy to be carrying on. At least while I'm having treatment I feel like I'm doing something positive. Good luck with the bone marrow tests, its a difficult call but I think you've got to think of yourselves first. If you delay your treatment then find you're not a match anyway you may regret it. As long as you've told them your situation they should be ok.

Nimble - Hi :) I don't think we've spoken before. Good luck with your treatment.

Jen1d - Sorry you're still feeling so low. Hope you get sme answers from the biopsy and it sounds like the adoption thing is starting to move. Keep strong, you can get through this. :)

Jenbabes - Only a few hours now. I'll be rushing home from work to check out your news tomorrow. Hope you feel better soon. Sending lots of babydust your way :)

Rachel - WOW 16 weeks already  Time's just flying by! Hope you're ok

Becky - Its understandable that your confidence in the site has taken a knock after what's happened. Feel free to come on and rant or just read whenever. We're all here for you :)

Jayne - Congratulations on being PUPO. Lots of babydust to you too :)

Angie - what can I say? you have me in stitches every day :D mad, totally mad but love you. Don't think we get the john and kate thing here but will look out for it now. I'm addicted to those programmes

Steph - have a fantastic weekend with your mum :)

Jackie - Hope you've recovered from last weekend. What's planned for this one?

wishfull - hope you had a lovely break. I've been promising myself a spa break for ages - can you believe none of my family are interested in going to one!!!

OK who have I missed? Angel, Carolynb, Shantala and everyone else - Hi :) I can't keep up with everyone, sorry.

I can't believe how well I feel at the moment. On higher dose of meds but not really had any side-effects yet - just a few headaches. I've been seeing a homeopath for a few months now and this time she's tied the medicine in to when I'm on the fertility meds and maybe its helping. I'm a little sceptical as homeopathy doesn't really 'go' with my pharmacy training but you have to try these things sometimes, don't you.
I don't expect to see much at the scan tomorrow as its a bit early but they just want to check I'm not over stimming on this dose. Gets me out of work for a couple of hours anyway
38,single.ttc with iuid

Stephj, welcome hope this Iui works for you and you have no need to go the IVF route, lots of great ladies on here its sometimes difficult to to keep track.

Jenb, keeping everything crossed for you, hope the results come in before you set off, and you can have a celebratory weekend.

Jen1, hope the councelling helped, its better out than in and you'll be 100% ready to try again in the new year. Hope your feeling ok after the surgery and are not working too hard.

nimble, welcome back, glad you have decided to go again, i find i cope much better when i am in cycle than the waiting for for cycles to start, i feel as though i am doing something positive. even though it can be so heartbreaking in the end. Hope your coping ok woth the injections.

Ok going to do a bit in the kitchen, until DH catches me and bans me back to the couch!!haha.

Sorry I went missing for a bit……had a couple of shit days at work!!! I have been “chosen” for a supervisor position (that I didn’t apply for…but boss thought I would be a perfect fit)…ok-fine, I’m up for the challenge…..except that I will be supervising ALL MEN that are in their late 40’s --- 50’s……so they all see me as this little “tart that don’t know shit” (a$$-holes)…..keep in mind that all of them have been PASSED OVER for this position cuz they are all lazy and have shown NO initiative…..well one of them has found out about me being the “chosen one” and is hell bent and all pissed off cuz he believes that he is ENTITLED to the job because of his seniority….not because he knows what he’s doing – but because of his seniority ---- WTF???!!!!!! I don’t buy into that line of crap!!! I’m 100% --- “best man/woman for the job”…..anyway --- nobody was supposed to know about it as it hasn’t come to pass just yet --- is just ON THE HORIZON to happen before end of year…..and somehow he found out about it and has made my life hell for the past couple of days w/ all the b.s. that he’s stirring up!!!!!! Maybe if he weren’t such a lazy-good-for-nothin-turd he would have been the one chosen for the job!!!

I see you ladies have been busy --- as usual!! Although – I don’t see steph anywhere --- where are ya steph?? Already leave for your “girly” weekend?? Am SO excited/anxious to hear what the rents had to say about becoming G-RENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P

Jenb --- everything crossed for your BFP!!!!!!!!! And I mean EVERYTHING!! OH-OH and I’ll help sing ----- “”””” I got chills --- they’re multiplying…..for the power your supplyin’ --- it’s electrifyin’!!!!!”””””””” GREASE IS ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAV’s!!! 8)

Jen1 ---- (((((((((HUGS TO YOU MY FRIEND)))))))))) you need them right now…. Take care of yourself --- k???

Nimble --- well done on getting back in the saddle!!!! And so fast!! How cool is it that timing worked out so well??? FANTASTIC NEWS!!! :D

Angel ---- hello darling!! Nice to see you out and about! For what its worth – I can’t do the sparklies either --- but I think everyone gets the message we are sending just the same….. (I hope anyway!!!) :?

Rachel --- I SO keep wishing the same thing would happen to me as did you…….as I would imagine a lot of gals out here --- VERY envious of your NATURAL BFP….. but OH SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!!! Is something we all {secretly} hope for…..and then to see it happen --- gives us all HOPE that we could be next!!! :)

Carolyn --- let us know how your scan goes!!!! YEAH!!!!! :D :D

Gill ---- good of you to join us!!! Ha, ha, ha, ha!!! Kidding of course…..LOVE your reads!!! So I’m interested to know if you DO get chosen for bone morrow donor – will you be able to do ivf cycle during or will have to wait the 12 weeks for results????? Decisions-decisions!!! I think the WORLD of you for even attempting to do the donor thing…….WOW --- pretty amazing if you ask me!!

Su ---- you’re back!!!! Yes, you should def look for john & kate +8…..i too have found myself COMPLETELY addicted to any/all of those programs that have to do w/ “babies….mulitples……etc” ---- LOVE ‘EM……….drives dh crazy!!! He doesn’t think is good for my mental state of mind ---- cuz it makes me all weepy with envy…….. maybe he’s right --- but I feel like it’s a “connection” for me…..oh well --- either way – isn’t gonna stop me!!! :P

Beachbaby/jayne – hope you’re feeling well during your 2ww!!!!! Can’t wait for you to bring us our next BFP! **** stick embies stick *****

Stephjim ---- WELCOME GIRL!!!!! You’ve landed in a FAB thread ----- gals here are the BEST!!!!!! I’m a pay-out-of-pocket ivf’er too --- so I can relate to wanting to make EVERY little thing count!! In fact, I wanted to do the IUI thing before IVF/ICSI --- but after RE’s evaluation --- said it would be a waste of our time and should go straight away to IVF --- so we did……(we have male issues…..so even w/ iui – little swimmers just not strong enough to penetrate my eggs ---- hence ICSI)…….anyway --- this is an AMAZING support network out here……this thread in particular……LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!

Shantala --- if you’re reading, hope you’ve overcome the sickness…..and that you’re getting big belly just in time for holidays!!! More than anything – just wanted you to know I was thinking of you and baby……..

Becky ---- [[[[big hugs]]]]]] :D

To ANYBODY else I’ve missed – HELLO!!!!!! Hoping everybody has FAB weekend --- can’t wait for everybody’s updates!!!!!!!! We’ve got so much going on out here!!!!

LOVE AND HUGS TO ALL!!!!!!!! :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P

Hey everyone - I don't usually post here either - seeming as when I joined I was in the middle of treatment. Here Iam though - awaiting treatment :( :( .
I had my review today, my next step is a hysteroscopy. I've one frozen embie left, Dr. said it has only a 50% chance of surviving the thawing process - fingers crossed. I'm going to do a HRT FET - I think I got that right!!

Hope everyone else is doing well and managing to stay on top of things.

I got hugs for you if you were born in the eighties, the eighties (or whenever !!)
