hi mommies2be.... After reading all of the follow ups and post I think its safe to say we all seem to be doing pretty well....

Bat- I too have my u/s schedule for the 29 and I too have the same pains. It feels like my af will be here any day.... But guess what ... It won't! I wouldnt even be convinced I'm preggo if it wasnt for the recent beta I requested to make sure thins were progressing normally. On occasion I am nauseated but not enuf to throw up. And the breast tenderness comes and goes.. I live in NY and is 30 deg here and my nipples hate it. I think for me the biggest change in me is the peeing, tired acheness and hunger. Not that I do these things to excessively but that when the urges from the come I must satisfy them asap. Before if I was hungry I'd say I'll eat later now I hv to eat as soon as I feel hungry. At work I'm eating in the bathroom becuz I don't want them to think anything, especially since I am a concious eater...

When is anyone yelling tour jobs? My dg said after I get a heartbeat . I have only told 3 people, I'm to afraid to tell anyone else. I'm thinking after m 10th week?

Wishluck - I hope your weekend is turning out to be relaxing. I hope the time flies between now and your next u/s. I can't wait to hear your good news!

waitingformia - GOOD LUCK on your u/s on Monday! It will be so exciting to see the confirmation of a heartbeat. It all feels so much more real after that.

Sage - CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR BFP!!!!! Welcome to the thread! When is your first u/s?

21bat - I have had the same "cramps" as you are experiencing from about the time of my first beta 9dp5dt and am still experiencing them. I am told they are normal. Your uterus is stretching and that is the tugging feeling. Sometimes mine last all day or for several days then go away entirely for a few days, then come back again. At first I was concerned but my doctor said it was normal. The only time you need to call your doctor is if you have cramping along with vaginal bleeding.

Mbre - I know what you mean about the hunger! Even though I know I am going to be nauseated after I eat, when I get hungry I HAVE to eat, and right now! It is weird. I recently lost 44 pounds and am still 20 pounds overweight, so I am concerned about gaining too much weight, but I have only gained 1 pound so far and have been eating a lot. Weird!

As far as telling people at work, I decided to let my bosses know (I work in a huge high school and figured someone in charge should know) and some of my close colleagues. They were all very excited for me and know that it will be at least another month before I am out of the "danger zone" so to speak. They have been really sensitive to the whole situation. I did wait until I saw a hearbeat though.

I hope all the mommies to be are having a great weekend. Today has been a very nauseaous one for me, but I did manage to make it to the gym for the first time in two months. I walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes and then chatted with my workout buddy while she lifted weights (I am too nervous to lift weights yet). I felt pretty good after, but then ate....and got queasy which lasted all day......Oh well.

I am off to bed early today! Have a good evening.

Hi ladies
Sorry i haven't been on in the last couple of days i hate not being able to chat I've read the posts since my last post and it sounds as though everyone is doing well and all haveing normal symptoms which is great and comforting to know we are not the only ones.
Sage congratulations good to see you on this side of the boards hope all is going well for you.
I go for my second beta tommorrow which i'm suprized i'm getting seing i only had one for ds and hopefully i'll have my scan date also with ds i didn't have one until 8and a half weeks so i guess it will be around then again when i get my scan i think my doctor likes to save the trips in and makes sure if there is going to be a heart beat that it will definatley be heard by then ( Wishuluck still thinking of you and can't wait for you to hear your little guy or girls heart beating away) I think my MS started to kick in this evening i jumped in the car to go home from my sisters and had to stop for a minute almost at the point of searching for something to yak in i can't stand the thought of needing to pull the car over to vomit on the side of the road or out the window could you imagine not getting the window down argghhh. i don't know if anyone else had this but i get this dull ache in my back not where my ovaries are but higher i did go to the docs thinking i had a bladder infection and i did but iv'e been on antibiotics and it doesn't seem to be getting better he did say i may need an ultrasound which makes me wonder why and what could it possibly mean. Anyhow wish me luck for another great beta for tommorrow.

Mia enjoy seeing your heartbeats tommorrow come on the twins

Take care all

hi all- it's official- i am a cranky so and so! wow- i pretty much have little to no time for people. I went out last night to an art event, and left after about 10 minutes- just couldn't stand all the small talk and pesky folks - hope to be better in the coming days- i just don't seem to feel like trying to pretend i'm having a good time around strangers and acquaintances right now

other than that- having a nice day today with dh- (he's even vacuuming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Loopie- I am with you girl! I want to bite off people's heads. I had my SD (step-daughter) here since Thursday and it has been a test of my patience (she is in horrible attitude mode). Same way at work, no patience for small talk and also running away from the tupid sick people that can't keep their germs to themselves! Argh!!
Jomae Good to hear from you!
Mia- Good luck tomorrow and let us know! And when you are done decorating the nursery come on over to cali to dd ours ;) we need a decorator!
Gecko- Wow you are making us look bad by going to the gym! I need to start doing that too! Good job!
Mbre Can't wait to earrof your u/s!! I told my boss but no one else at work yet, I want to be 110 weeks at least for that.
21 bat gooo to see you! I wouldn't worry about the cramps, I have some very strange things going on in there, I think it is just your body adjusting!
Sage - WELCOME TO THE "OTHER SIDE" !!!! Isn't it wonderful to be here?
Wish still praying for a healthy HB, can't wait for thegood nws!
kelly glad I am not the only one with Crinone issues! That is just strange! Hope you got some rest this weekend!
Tammy hope you are feeling better, take it easy momma! Let us know how you are doing.
weezie- where havve you been? Celebrating too hard? ;)
Cinci how are you feeling?
Hoekey I am still going to do highlights and lowlights while preggers, jut not very often. My hairdresser had very healthy twins while colorig hair the whle time, I used to do it myself but it touched my scalp and selled strong, when she did it (right before IVF) it didn't smell and didn't touch my scalp. A wissie and two chiuauas! You got your hands full! We have two shepherds, one is 65lbs one is 95 lbs.

Me- I feel a little different since I stpped PIO, my tummy has gone down a bit which is nice since I had been swollen. My boobs aren't sore anymore :? and I get a little M/S in the afternoons but no throwinn up, just little nausea. Really cranky and impatient. Other than that not much else to report, my bum feelsgreat with no shots! :D It is funny how I thought the over analiizing symptoms was something I would only do during 2WW, well I quickly found out that I am still doing it!!!  Hope you girls had a ffabulous weekend! I am here counting the days for my next u/s can't those docs just give us one every week  until we give birth? I am reading what to expect when you are expecting and girlfriends guide to pregnancy.

Hello ladies! Hope everyone is having a good weekend. My husband is ready for me to have these babies because the mood swings are horrible....really horrible. I really hate being around people haha.

Question, all of you ladies with twins, are you all going to a perinatologist? I am going to a regular OB right now and he said he would send me there if need be.

ALAS! I have found twin travel stroller!! woohoo! At target....Graco makes them so it only took me forever to find those! Expensive though because you have to buy the stroller and 2 car seats seperatly. Oh well, baby registry!!

I am starting to get headaches more and more now. I think I am not drinking enough water but who knows.

Sorry for no personals I have to get going to homework....but I have read all your posts and updated myself! Congrats to all the new moms!!!

Hello girls!! I am sorry that I have not posted these last couple days. I have really been battling MS. I have yet to vomit but have come close a lot. I just really don't feel good. The nausea is horrible. I am raving hungry, then I eat, then I feel like I'm going to blow for two hours, then I am starving again. I only feel okay if I am laying down and not moving. I even missed church this morning and Sunday dinner with the in-laws. I sent the family on without me. Then DH came home and forgot my left-overs that Mom-in-law sent. I seriously started to cry :( . I was sooooo hungry!! I felt that I needed protien, and this was the cause of the tears. I had not had any yet today. So, DH made me a bowl of beans. It was very good, but then 10 minutes later I was miserable. I am hungry again but am afraid to eat. Anyone else get very loud gurgles coming from the tummy when it's time to eat? Mine are so loud I'm glad I am not in public because they would be very embarrasing. I wish I felt better to do the personals. But I am just checking in to let you all know that I am okay and that I am thinking of you all.

P.S. anyone heard from Acapulco yet?? Did she ever respond after her U/S? I hope she is okay.

Thanks everyone for yoru responses about the cramping!! I was going to call the doctor tomorrow, but since it appears to be normal, you've all put my fears at rest :)
So I should only be worried if there's bleeding? Sometimes I feel like I may have miscarried without knowing it. Is that stupid? That's not really possible without bleeding, right? I only had 2 beta tests - they said that the beta would be too high at this point to test, but i've read you girls having your beta tested when it's 1000+. Hmmmm....I guess I won't worry too much until my u/s

wow - i have lots of posts to catch up on :) i'll keep writing!

Anyone having trouble sleeping, like you can't find a comfortable position to sleep in? I though it's only supposed to happen when you have a big belly? :)

A friend at work told me about this pillow called SNOOGLE - it's shaped like a "C" and supposed to be a life-saver during the entire pregnancy! I'll have to give it a try tonight. anyone else try it? I'll let you know how it goes - it's supposed to go between your legs and support your back and neck. I'm looking forward to it. I got it at Babies R Us today - couldn't help but browse the car seat and crib isles :) :)
When are you girls going to start buying baby things??? I saw the cutest onesies today (unisex) but I had to tell myself it's too early and put them back :) I know now is too early before I even hear the heartbeat, but it's just soo exciting :) :)

Oh - i also ordered the Bella Band yesterday - since I can't button my pants anymore :) Anyone else using it yet?

wow - i'm way behind in these posts!

Mia - cute idea with the Easter baskets for your family. We told our parents and our bosses, but haven't told anyone else - none of our friends know. We want to wait 3mths to tell everyone else, but I have a feeling I might spill the beans sooner :) I've been avoiding my friends because they know i've been doing some fertility things and I think they'll catch on pretty quick.

andnichole - that's crazy about your OB and tube bursting! Sounds aweful!

Cleaning lady is nice - ours comes every 2 weeks and does the major cleaning. It's so nice to come home and a clean fresh smelling house. I'd like her to come more often, but I don't know if we should incur the extra expense right now.

geckogirl - i also get sick after eating. I thought it was weird, maybe some digestion thing, but I was told I need to eat in smaller portions. I usually eat really fast too, which can't be good. It's hard to go out to dinner or lunch with friends - it's like a 2hr process and then then everyone starts discussing food - after 10mins I just wanna puke!! I will have to try the pickled ginger - thanks! I am also cold during the day sometimes - I feel like I'm getting a feaver. The nigh sweats went away about 2 weeks after ET for me.

hoekey - ongrats on the healthy heartbeat!! :)

21 bat - let me know how you like the pillow, I was uing a body pillow cause my tummy was so swollen, but I saw that one pillowand would love to kow how it works! I skipped the bella band and wentstraigt for maternity pants, even before my BFP cause I couldn't fit in anything, ttey had some cute onesat Target and they are super comfy! We are probably going to tell my SD about the baby when we are 12 weeks (so we can't buy things before), then DH and I go on a 3 weeks trip, so it will be about 16 weeks before we buy anything but it is so tempting!!! I am not really sure but I think that at this point a m/c would be follooewd by blood but the baby can also stop growing. But please don't wory and wwait for your u/s, I know it is hard not to worry!

Mia - I am reading "what to expect when you're expecting" too - it's a good book, lots os helpful tips on all kinds of things. DH even read some of it and also found it helpful.

sugabeanz - congrats on the twins!!!! How exciting!!!!

weezei - OMG that's the funniest story about your husband poking his finger!!! Thanks for the laugh :)

rio, geckogirl - congrats on the heartbeat!!!! rio - your question about the cost of the u/s....all the money we paid for IVF, it was all applied to the appointments before i got my preg test. now that i'm considered pregnant, they bill separately as a high-risk pregnancy. so if you have insurance, they should cover it (hopefully - although i am afradi they may not if they see it's coming from a fertility clinic)

kelly - sorry about your grandma!!!!

mia - i love your PMA!!! :)

Mbre - my clinic is the same way - they do 2 betas and then the 6 week u/s. they also do i think HCG tests every week to see if i'm ready to get off the meds, but that part doesn't really confirm pregnancy any more, right? i wish i had beta tests more often too!

does anyone know a normal beta for 1 embryo 14dp5dt?

anyone thinking of nursery themes yet?? :) :) i know i know, so early! I was a ladybug theme! Hopefully for a girl - that probably won't work for aboy though. but we all think it'll be a boy :) we're thankful for whoever we get ;) Mia - let me know about that wall unit.

so has anyone actually thrown up yet?? Do you think IVF moms are less prone to puking during morning sickness? Seems like we're having all the symptoms but no one has thrown up yet from what i've read. I'm not complaining :) i can handle the nausea, but puking would be bad!

geckogirl - did your RE say that Metamucil was ok? I am just so cautious about taking anything besides the stuff i'm supposed to take like the vitamins and the baby asprin. but if it's ok, then i'll definitely try it.

are you girls taking the fish oil in addition to the prenatal vitamins? iwas told to stop taking them during ET because it can cause bleeding, but maybe i can get back on them??
