I was saying the exact thing . Some people have it so easy its so unfair....
But, we are doing this and we will get our babies... right!

Hi ladies - thank you very much for all your warm responses of encouragement and support. you are such a warm group of ladies:) thank you so much!
i spoke with my doc again and turns out he wants me to wait a full cycle after this AF for the next AF to start the FET. i should have figured that - dont know why i assumed i can go straight in. so that means i will have to wait till end of April/ early May to get started.
i also spoke with my embryologist and basically she wants to do what worked in the past - transfer 3 on frozen cycle. She is recommending an SCSA test to check the DNA integrity of the sperm. since we are MF with low morphology, she wants to know how severely the sperm DNA is impacted. I guess if it is impacted severely then we will get even more aggressive on the number of embies transfered.
i am just curious, has anyone had the SCSA test done on their DH sperm?

LYD10- I know there is nothing we could say to make you feel better, I just hope that you find the strength to stay positive and move into the next cycle. I wish only the best and hope that this next cycle is the one for you.
moorebaby- Thanks for the warm welcome. I am actually doing a fresh cycle, hopefully starting next week since AF still hasnt shown up (today is cycle day 32!). If I dont start by Sunday I will go in monday for an US and hopefully get things started anyway. We have done 1 fresh and 2 FET, but are hoping the #2 fresh is going to be the one! As for the # we are transferring, we did 2 with our first fresh, and then 3 with each FET. Even though the new RE said he thought we would do 2 this time....call me crazy but Im going to insist on 3. I may have to put up a fight but I want this cycle to work more than anything and since I know the chance of multiples is low I am pushing for 3!
jenmink- Thanks for your welcome too. Weve cycled together before and it looks like we wont be too far apart this time so hopefully we will both end up with great results. We have had to do ICSI previously due to DH sperm, and are assuming that will be another cost piled onto this cycle. Whats even better is the new RE recommends Artificial hatching with most his patients because he thinks it gives the best results. Even though I thought they usually didnt do it with younger patients (and its an additional $2500)....at this point Ive decided that I dont care how much this cycle costs or what the charge me for. Im getting a baby and thats all that matters.
cherry5- I think we could very well end up transferring on the same day which means we would be in the 2ww together. I have been on the feb/march board because I thought I would be going sooner, but AF has decided to hold out and test my patience.
Waiting to hear today if our donor passed the psych eval yesterday. Gosh it would really be horrible if she didnt! As long as she got the A-OK then we are still on schedule, will start lupron in about a week and a half!
Question for you guys, do most clinics choose not to do ICSI because of the cost unless you foot the bill? My clinic does ICSI unless you tell them not to. Even if there are no problems with the sperm. ICSI kind of makes me nervous since you aren't letting nature take it's course and they are choosing which sperm will fertilize the egg. But then again, nature is mostly pushed aside during this whole ivf process
I got my fertilization report, of my 35 eggs, 24 were mature and 21 fertilized. That seems like pretty good numbers to me. Now I wait and see how they look on day 5 and we will either freeze them all or do a transfer if they aren't looking so hot.

I'm hoping that you will let me join your group! I'm over stalking the winter board, cheering on all the wonderful ladies, but will be completing the ER/ET around April 13-20. I don't know a lot of you over here, so if you'd like to know my story...
All started back in 2009, DH and I had been TTC for about 1.5 years naturally, so we started the testing. DH had his sperm tested and it was a shock when it came back that the sample had NO sperm. Not just low...none. So, in April 2009, DH had surgery to figure out if there was sperm in his testicles, meaning that maybe it was just obstructed. Nope. More bad news. They took tissue and said they would put it under a microscope and see if they could find trace amounts of sperm. We were so thrilled when we received the call that they found sperm! Like a few. So, they froze the sperm and we started our IVF journey.
Jan 2010 started the first IVF, we were at ER and they thawed the frozen sperm from DH first surgery and said it wasn't viable. We knew that going into it, so planned on him having another surgery same morning to get a fresh sample. DH went into Surgery and they said that they couldn't find any sperm. It was the most devastating day of my life. So much to wrap our head around. This was a new clinic because we had a very bad experience at the first clinic, so part of us still believe that the first clinic lied and never really found sperm. So, that cycle was totally scrapped.
Took a few months to decide what to do and then we decided to move forward with donor sperm. We didn't really have any other options...DH doesn't have any brothers...
Proceeded with 4 different cycles of IUI with donor sperm. all negative. So now we're back to IVF with donor sperm.
There are a lot of us here that have been through a lot and some that are going through this for the first time. My only hope is to be a resource for those that are making tough choices...there are so many that we have had to make that I never thought I would ever have to make in my entire life...lots of things I wish I could do differently. I hope to cheer for all of you on this journey!
Can’t wait to get to know all of you.

An example of a microflare protocol is given below - there are variations on the theme:
1.Birth control pills for 1 month
2.Stop birth control pills - no meds for 2 days
3.Start Lupron on the third pill free day. We use a 50ug dose twice daily - AM and PM - for these flare cycles. 50ug is a very small dose as compared to the usual Long Lupron protocol dose of 0.5mg (500ug). The Lupron must be diluted by the pharmacy or the doctor's office to be able to inject such a low dose.
4.Start injections of the FSH product (once or twice daily) on the day after starting Lupron
5.The Lupron is usually continued at the same dose until the HCG trigger shot is given.
6.Some fertility specialists believe that lead follicle sizes with a flare stimulation should not be greater than about 17-19mm - or pregnancy success rates may be reduced.
Ester! I wish I knew you were over here, I would have been a MUCH better stalker! I wish you the best of luck!!!! Send all the baby dust I can mister up over to you can't wait to see you on the other side!!

Omg, so many people here! I will try and update the list again...but I am totally falling behind! I might need some help!
Qucik update on me. I started spotting yesterday so I went to RE for u/s and bw (I have been on lupron for 10 days). They said everything looked good on u/s and will call with bw results tomorrow. Originally RE said I did not need to repeat my sounding, but today he said he changed his mind. He is so funny, he knew I would be mad at him for changing his mind. He knows I am a planner, I plan everything early and now I have to do a sounding within 2 weeks of med start?! I will do it on tuesday afternoon. DH is going for TESE consult on Wednesday. And if all goes as planned, I will start stimming meds in 2 weeks from tomorrow! Eeeeek, here I go again! Can't believe my box of meds will be coming so soon!
Ok, I will catch up later. Oh and Ester...yeah...my kids are just loving Mrs. G on lupron during CMT's!! (sarcasm of course...can you say Mrs. super-b*tch? lol)

Hi everyone,
I am new to this thread. However, i am happy to see quite a few familiar members on this thread. I have been part of the Feb/March thread for a while as I was originally scheduled to have ET last month after my ER o. 3-22-11. However, after developing OHSS and we ended up having to freeze all of our embabies (10 blasts in total). I am now anxiously awaiting my FET on May 5th. I am looking forward to making new friends on this thread as I did with the prior one. I also hope to be able to provide the much needed support we all need at times to make it through this challenging journey.
I wish everyone on this journey much blessings. I hope we all get to share the wonderful news of a BFP soon. Sending everyone lots of very special baby dust.

Mom4Sure- I stared BCP on day 6 of my cycle. I'll be on it for a month.
Tiffany- I agree with Ester it sounds like your on a micro dose protocal. I'm trying the same thing this cycle.
Addy- Our clinic only uses ICSI for male factor, or in our case when the just don't ask for directions in the dish. It is an extra cost. We have to pay the full amount for IVF (minus drugs) at our first US screening, so my guess it's only recommended if they think you have a problem. You don't pay for emergency icsi.
Tiger and WeHaveHope - welcome
Dallas- Hope your donor passes the psyc. eval. so you can get this cycle rolling
