Just wanted to barge in and say that Jen1d just texted me & am sure that she would want me to let you all know.........

The two embies defrosted well and are now snuggling in. She was off to acupuncture and then to chill.

I am so pleased for her and just wanted to let you all know.

Lots of Love
Carolyn

Its good to be back home even though i'm always sad to leave fab Barcelona, i love it there.
The hotel was so nice, weather hot in the sun but getting a bit nippy in the evening and still got 2 embies waiting

Had my doppler scan first thing in the morning bu Dr Rotondo and all was fine. Basically the only thing wrong is blocked tubes so everyone keeps saying it should work----still waiting
Anyway then had acu and took a took my diaxapam tablet before ET so chill me out, worked a treat. Then had a chat with Dr Guix, who told us our 2 fighters had survived the thaw. I asked who was doing the tranfer today, it was the same gorgeous guy as before, Dr Zamora---freeze  ---i was scared the same pain would happen like the last time but D Guix was great and said she didnt want me to feel tense so Dr Fernandez did ET with the gorgeous one standing beside me for support :P Must admit i felt bad saying i didnt want him but he was fine. ET was then a breeze---cant recommend diazipam more highly. I then had more acu and fell asleep, then back to the hotel and slept for 3 hours.

I will try to catch up soon, going to rest.

Love to you all

Hoo-RAH for Jen and her two gorgeous tough nut snow bunnies!!!!!!! I can't believe everything is going so perfectly- is sure sign of impending BFP. Plus, two extras to spare. Can't ask for more cherry on the sundae.

So, how are we spending our 2ww- what will date of test be? give luvs to sticky snow bunnies for me!

Loops- hmm.. when are you going to give us the inside scoop of your trip? how was it? what is going on with you? give me an update on LolaWorld. I hear it is a little like Waynes World without the blond sidekick, but replaced with Demetrio instead.. shwing!

Walsher- still trekking around the globe....

As for me.. work is crazy busy with traveling. drive, meeting, sleep, drive, meeting, sleep and repeat. But, Grey's did start again this past week so it gave me a little fun in the hotel room. I am happy to report that although the first episode was not up to snuff when looking at the first two seasons.. it was not as horrible as last season. Things are looking up.

 Hi Steph

Good to hear from you. You sound like you are running around mad----well we know you are mad but you have to take it easy.

Loops sent me an email before i left for Barcelona, sure she must be back now or in the next day or so then we will hear all her info.

Walshy will be far to busy sunning herself and having so much fun, just what she needed.

Then there is Littles, she emailed saying she has started treatment again and has been so busy as her brother is getting married on the 20th, she is helping plan some of it. She has promised to post on the 2nd, so if she is not here tomorrow we will gang up on her as she has left us for far to long-----you up for that Steph

So i'm feeling fine, just carrying on as normal although chilling and feeling a bit lazy. Had a weird though last night like this ivf is never going to work for us, why should it, it hasnt before. Then i think about my fighter embies and pray it will work but i had grade 10 embies before and it didnt-----oh i dont know, just feel we are nearly at the end of the road and if this cycle doesnt work then nothing will--------so confused, frustrated and longing for a baby to see the huge smile on dh's face.

Anyway, am off work until Saturday, that will mean i can chill up to 7 days so the embies have time to snuggle in, then back to work for 3 days, off for 2, back for 2 then test on te 12th

Catch up with you tomorrow---Littles you better log in or your in trouble :x

MY OCTOPALS...sorry, I just needed to shout that out....

Well, it's been a while and ALL my fault as usual... I have heaps of excuses... I have been really busy which has actually been good for me. DH and I have spent some quality time together recently...a few days in the Seychelles which was brilliant as needed to recharge my batteries.
My brother is getting married and I wanted to make him a dvd of his life... well it took FAR longer than expected and after 3 weeks of frustration, I have finalised it. I have also been helping them with translations and video messages. I WILL be really glad when this thing is over  However, I am sad that I won't be there to witness it all...

Where am I?
After my 2 BFNs at the beginning of the year, I went a little crazy and needed some time out from the disappointment. I went to see a counsellor and she has been super. I feel more hopeful that even if this doesn't work I can still be happy. I was so miserable that I couldn't actually remember the last time I was happy...how pathetic is that!

I am feeling more positive now although I do realise just how hard these 6 years have been and how they have changed me. They have made me vulnerable and fragile... but also stronger. I feel fine and am ready to take on IVF 3 whatever it throws at me.

I am currently downregging; it's been nearly 3 weeks. I went for a scan yesterday and I should be ready to start stims on Sunday 7th. In the meantime, I have been unlucky and have another UTI so am on antibiotics (i've had 6 in the past year...) Anyway...no matter how tiresome that is, it WILL not get me down! Another hurdle to get over really.
IVF 3 will be our last so we have everything riding on this. The Dr suggested PGD testing but we have declined... if it doesn't work this time, that's it and I don't need to know why, but just come to accept the fact that we won't ever children. I am not ready to accept that anytime soon so this HAS to work.

Basically, Jen, we won't be really cycling together because you will be resting up after your BFP when I am in the midst of stimming. I am hoping and praying that your two warrior embies are growing and soon producing that HcG to blow your HPT out of the water    I read your trials and tribulations about ET, your doctors certainly sound like the tops!
Thank you for keeping this thread going....
I'll send you some pics of the Seychelles... was really lovely there.
Can I send you a huge mail or will your pc crash?

Steph, you sound upbeat and very busy. How's little Faith doing? As cute as ever!

Lola is still on her road trip I imagine...she's a beauty. I forgot to tell her...saw her pic!

Camilla, what are you up to? How are the children? Can't believe how time flies...

Walshy, is travelling the world it seems.... lucky her... but much-deserved time off!

Thank you all for keeping me updated via your mails etc.
I really appreciate that. I know that I haven't deserved it much but I needed to step away at some point because I needed to think about something else when I wasn't cycling.

Talk to you soon....

Jen, I trust you're taking great care.... feet up, lassy! It's your turn!!! And TOO far overdue!!

Much love to you all and your DHs...

Littles

AWWW... thanks for the warm welcome back dearest Jen...you hang in there!
You're right, try not to focus on the little twinges...I know it's easier said than done.

I am not going to the wedding because of the IVF....they told us about the wedding in mid July... and we had already planned on doing IVF3 in October at the very beginning of this year... I am sad but I didn't want to put our life on hold for one day, if you get what I mean.
Additionally, there is history with my bro and sil...we cancelled our holidays so that they could come and visit us here and then the morning they were supposed to be flying out, they changed their minds.... so not to sound bitter (because I am not at all) but they wouldn't put their life on hold for me, so why should I for them.
Having to "plan" because of IVF is already a pain what with DH's profession, without having to take into account other factors. DH has taken some time off in Oct to be with me for 4 days; he won't have that opportunity until February 2008 so I don't want to postpone on the account of the wedding. I feel a little guilty about not going.... but there you are, that's life!

Must dash... will be online frequently I hope now...

Enjoy the sun....

MUCH love,

Littles

hey everyone!!!

Well looks like the girls are all back - WOOOO HOOOO!!!

Littles - glad you have returned and glader that you are feeling much more like your old self. We are here to support you for this cycle on the road to BFP! Don't feel guilty about the wedding - its just one day. Looking forward to more littles posts and an update on what you've been up to these past months.

ma girl Jemla! - Right, bfp injection STAT! And no EMLA! This will work - deffo. Say it over and over and over - remember the power of the chant. Me n dh jusr chanted "green man, green man" at the crossing and guess what?? Thats right, the red man switched to a green man! The power and magic of the CHANT!!!! 10 days until test date so big day is.... 12th october!!! Indeed, there will be spanky-panted hijinx from support central here at octo05, except littles who is not allowed to do anything that diverts blood away from her uterus, she can sit on sidelines waving a pom pom - gently. The weather down here is appalling! Are you having sun???? My mum and day are in Scotland at the mo on some jolly around Edin and Loch Lomond.

Stepheeeee - mucho trabajo eh girlfriend? Kick it in Cinders! Do you still do your yoga class? I have picked up some cool phrases while in the states, I gotta lot o junk in the trunk! Look at that wagon I draggin. Not bad.

Walsher - enjoy your trip lovely girl!

Well I have 2 news items for my homies

The holiday - fantastic!!! Hired a jeep in Arizona and 4by4'ed our way around off roadin style. Went horse riding (well, I sat on it and clung on for dear life) in Monument Valley (I was so bruised on my downstairs! Those saddles should come with airbags), helicopter trip, rafting, hiking in the Grand canyon. Went to Vegas, won $100 on roulette and blew the winnings at a gun shops where they let me n dh fire a glock and an uzi! Never fired a gun before so thought I would try it. I will email you all the video of me doing it - its hilarious. Truly. After vegas, drove through the Mojave and then pitched up near San Diego for some beach. Was just so good girls.

Went to see my main man The Lav today to discuss the results of dh's test as per my email. Well its not all dark news, yet anyway. We've been referred to a genetics expert for more info. As soon as we have this we'll decide about next cycle and whether we need PGD. Hopefully (come on karma give a girl a break) it will turn out to be minor and I can start new fresh cycle soon. Feel much better after seeing the doc - had been worrying about it all holiday. When I wasn't wrestling rattle snakes or abseiling or other pepsi max type stuff.....

Righto, I'm off to eat and get early night, I a bit jet lagged
Take it easy my sweet things

Brilliant to hear from you at last and your trip sounds fab, cant wait to see the photo, should give us a giggle.

So glad to hear you are thinking about your next cycle and the probs are not as bad as you though. Got a fright after your email and then you disappeared---zap---as fast as wonderwoman and left me all worried about you. So pleased your feeling better about things.
Better be careful, those spanky pants must be worn through by now as its a 6th time lucky chant

Littles - You are quite right about the wedding. I remember you saying your SIL is a bit of a dragon--hope she doesnt read this---so i think your right to give it a big swerve and think of you and dh.

Yep the sun is fab over the last 2 days and its meant to continue tomorrow so more chilling for me outside i hope.

Ok off to sit down

SO HAPPY ALL MY MUCKERS ARE RETURNING

So we are half way there

Back to work tomorrow, dreading it. Weekend is full of early shift tomorrow then maybe the cinema then lazy morning with the papers on sunday and then late shift--yuck

Sorry this is also short but got a bit of a sore back, had it after ironing a few bits, hope its just that. Starting to think af is passing by, only to appear soon after test day--hope not, maybe my imagination is running mad.

Thinking of you all, have a good weekend.

5 Days until Jemla gets her bfp!!! woo hooo!!
So how're you doing??? You feeling positive?? Yes answers only please.
Y'know, you will be so shocked when you finally get the good news, I anticipate fainting. Please ensure you are sitting down when you get the news girlfriend.

How're the other octos? I'm a bit disappointed in the posting averages.... where are Steph and Littles??? I hope your absence is due to squeezing yourselves into extra hot spanky pants in readiness for the buenas noticias we're expecting from Jen.

I'm just chilling, my ulcer or whatever it is has been playing up the last few days - finally decided to go and see someone about it. Sort it out before next cycle, whenever that may be. In limbo until Lav-man tells us who he's referred us to so we can make an appointment. Have busy week ahead - am so exhausted still after my trip. I am getting old!

Ok then lovelies - keep it locked

 Hi girls and Oldie Loops

Wow i'm whacked, had a bumper day in shift, yesterday and today but am only a prostitute *****, so not bad for a Monday

Am feeling ok, no af symptoms just now but that means nothing and all can change in a second. Am quite chilled as i know th pessaries and patches are doing their job, cant tell you the stress it takes away when you know you wont bleed (better not speak to soon eh). Just being patient and waiting.
Had a bit of a bad dream last night, worried we wont ever get a bfp and be sitting here in a few months with nothing and at the end of the road----so hoping that doesnt happen  :( :?:

Loops - I so hope you are right but i just cant see it. Dont get me wrong i am straying as positive as possible but when i've never had a bfp or been pregnant i just feel its not going to happen.
You take it easy and rest, dont want you getting ill, need you here to chant for my bfp.

Littles - Hope your downregging is going ok. Thinking of you

Steph -Hope those spanky pants are extra celebration ones.

Walshy - Hope your having a blast.

Ok must go, i need to get some tea then rest

Cant believe its only 4 more days

4 days until Jen gets her bfp! I love this countdown....

So how are the octos?? Bueno bueno? Hope so.
Jemla - chill dude, this will work and I won't hear otherwise! I know its hard to believe it but look at all the miracles we see on these boards. Wasn't there a thread last month that said pregnant after a billion tries??? QED.

Donde estan Steph, Littles, Camilla, Walsher? Had my spanish lesson today... i speak like a thicko.

Went to the GP about stupid ulcer or whatever. Going to have some tests (quel suprise) and then we'll see about treatment. lar di dah. Hope it solves it because I'm a bit assed off with it.
Dh tried to get more info about the geneticist today, waiting for the secretary to get back to us.

Ok then beauties, off to slave over a hot stove
Take care
