hello ladies, sorry i haven't posted in a while, it's been so busy around here.

here a quick update: i started stims on saturday and had my estradiol levels checked yesterday, everything still looks good so far. i'll have to go back for blood work and US on thursday, i pray there won't be anything wrong. if not, i will have my ER on monday, perhaps tuesday and transfer later next week. what's interesting though, is that i was so positive about this next cycle and the closer i get to the actual date the more scared i get. i guess i am just really worried i'll get a bfn on christmas eve :(
anyway, i am so glad to have you all out there for support. we are also supposed to have our adoption meeting next week, so i'll have to postpone that to january and perhaps i may not even need it :) did i just say that, well, i guess, yes, so there may still be some hope for me ...

hugs to everyone.

Hello, hello, hello!!!!

Sorry haven't been able to post for a while. started stimming on Sat and have been fine generally but just feel so exhausted especially in the evenings. Not sure if its just the medication or a combination of that and the mental stress. I keep on wondering if my follies are growing and how big they are......etc. Well, I am feeling a little bloated and get twinges in my lower abdomen, so I guess the medication is working at the very least. This being my first cycle, there are so many things I'm not sure of and that may be making me more nervous. Anyway, I'm sure most of you have been through the same feelings. Sorry about the ramble.

Hope all you ladies in US are taking care. The storms sound quite bad. Be careful on the roads.

Steph, you make me laugh everytime. I am trying not to laugh out loud at the thought of you clearing snow when its windy!  I say you are mad enough to lead us all to raid a menopur manufacturer so we can save on that at least.

Pumma, things are going well for you. Thats great. Will do a follies dance for you if you do the same for me.
:)
Angie, I can totally understand your wish to rush through Christmas. After all, taking steps towards that BFP is our ultimate gift.

Nimble - the coke idea is great. Wish I soon get to the situation where I have to do that. I remembered a friend who enjoys her wine and when we all went out for a meal once, she declined giving the excuse of an ear infection. I straightaway thought she was pregnant and it turned out to be right!

Angie - I am not qualified to answer your question, but when we were looking around for menopur as its quite expensive, we were told not to take the risk. As Steph said, for all you know you could be injecting saline. Larry and Chuck was hilarious. I enjoyed it too.

Jen, hope you're feeling better today.

CarolynB, hope you're ok. Haven't heard from you in a while.

Shantala, Rachel, Su, Jayne - how are you and the little ones doing? Shantala and Rachel, your bumps must be showing by now. Su, hope your scan goes well.

Ok, gotta get back to work as someone is hovering about now. Take care gals.

Hi ladies,

Jen1d, wow you swat completed early and passed, well done you. Make sure you kepp on at the SW, they are pretty useless if you don't get on there backs.

Steph, hope your feeling better and the bug is on its way out! Very funny thinking of you blowing the snow, you need to find a nice male neighbour to take pity on you.

Angie, hope you get your drugs sorted, i know they are expensive but the risk is not worth it. I can sympethise with you on the drivers as DH and i lived in Texas the winter of 2000/2001 and had the worst ice storm theyd had for about 6 years, cars were flying off the road left right and centre. Our road was like a skating rink and we lost our electric at 11pm christmas day for 4 days. very funny.

Nimble, i am fine thanks, no bump yet DH keeps looking, i have put on 4lb since i started this treatment so not too bad. Had a bit of backache, and still hungry all the time, not feeling as sick, and not as tired so DH is freaking out that something has changed.

Pumma, you go girl, good luck at the scan on thursday, hope the shots aren't too bad. got everything crossed for you. Keep that PMA.

Hi to everyone else, hope your all ok.

As for me doing ok, counting the days till my next scan on Monday.
On another note DH brother and his wife turned up out of the blue today guess why, yep they are pregnant!!! And they have already told everybody, that p**d me off as we had decided not to tell my in laws until christmas when i will be 10 weeks, was going to wait the full 12 but as its christmas and these will be there first grandchildren we thought it would be nice. The story goes on, she was on the pill so does not know how far along she is, as she took the pill continuously after her Sept period. so she could be 4 weeks or 8 weeks, so it will be a close race over who has the first grandchild!!! by the way my BIL is 14 years younger than my DH, and my SIL only finished uni last June, and had not yet found a job, so not the best circumstances to be in.
Anyway enough of a rant from me, speak soon.

hi guys!!!

Carolyn- nah not working hard haha...I've just been busy with shoveling snow, still coming down but not as much as before but enough to make gunk. And my belly funk from this weekend is still going on...NOT a BUG!!! All signs are completely normal, NOT what you'd see if you had a bug!!! I don't get it  I have to call for my bloodwork tomorrow so maybe my RE can get me a scan in to see if it is my gallbladder or some other useless body part!

Jayne- just remember YOU are having twins and she isn't, so even if you are 2nd to pop your wee ones will get LOTS of attention :) But I still roor for you to be #1!!! Poopoo on her for raining on your parade! Oh and PS...I will take tons of snow anyday over ice!

Angel and Pumma- you stim girls!!! You sound like you are on the same timeline, that is so cool! 2 Christmas BFP!!!!!! WOOO

Ang- well I have no idea how they regulate their pharmacies there but here in the states each state regulates pharmacies that operate within...you can see judgements on them as well like if they have been fined etc. Also something like a BBB? Like I said I don't know how they do anything there...except they drive on the other side of the road

I hope my bloods show zero tomorrow. I'm sick of being a damn pin cushion, not to mention the longer it takes to drop, the longer it takes AF to show back up!!! I'm cold, I'm crabby, my tummy still hurts! Oh and nothing like throwing salt in the wound...my insurance requires you to call them by the time you are in week 12 to tell them bout your pregnancy. They send you regular surveys about how things are, give you a 24 hr phone # to call about questions concerning your pregnancy, and after the birth and after your last survey they send you a $50 gift card to Toys-r-Us! Well I called them when I lost the baby to close me out. The day after I did, I got my welcome letter in the mail...ok I understand that was just bad timing, not thier fault. But today I got a book about pregnancy in the mail  It just reminds me how sad I am, and how much I want to get started again! I am sure it was again just crossed in communications, but it still sucks!

OH AND I have to get up early on my day off just to wait for the appliance guy...they get their yearly checkup  "We can be at your house between 8 & 5" Oh wow, thanks for narrowing that down a bit! Why don't you just tell me you will be here sometime by 2008??? I want to sleep in!!!!!

Steph: yeahh, i know exactly how you feel about the whole book and $50.00 thing. i had the same thing happen to me earlier this year when i miscarried at 9 weeks. i told my dh to call the nurse so she would not call again, but i still received the book, which i put away immediately, and the $50.00. sorry you had to go through that, i know it was terrible. i just found the book again one week ago, but still could not look at it again ...

i am doing okay, hope my us tomorrow looks good.

LADIES!!!!!! am so excited -- must tell you my "news"!!! So told you that i called nurse to ask about my meds..........and long story short -- they have patients that have used the VERY pharmacy i called to question about --- (AND get BFP's using those meds) ---- and while they cannot "endorse or encourage" using them --- they think is a-ok!!! But instead of them calling it in, doc's office will send me the script and then i will have to fax over to them ----- but have a look, my menopur here in the states = $1,260.00 and from european pharmacy where i can also get generic (nurse also ok'd) ---- $468.00    YEAH!! Happy-dance........Happy-dance!!! Soon as i get my script in mail -- i will get process moving along so that i get what i need in a timely manner!! oh yeah, if anybody is interested to check it out --- the website is "www.ivfmeds.com"

Steph ---- you're so impatient!!! :x what, you have more important things to do than wait for the maytag man to show up??? ha, ha, ha, ha!!! OH - btw, just fyi --- back in aug when i got first bfn -- they did deem it "chemical" and my beta/hcg = 15......and it took several weeks (like - maybe 4 i want to say) for it to hit ZERO......BUT --- i did get af's arrival before it went back to zero......i stopped taking PIO on a satuday and af arrived by the following wednesday'ish.......SO --- just a little encouragment for ya that af could still arrive eventhough not back to zero yet.....

Angel --- how goes the stimming??? Oh and ya better get used to the bloating -- all part of the fun my dear!! :P

jayne --- you lived in TX for awhile??? wow, that's pretty cool..... was it for yours/dh work?? curious....i have some friends that live down there and ice/snow is pretty foreign to them as well (mostly - they are in a part of the country that doesn't get it often)......yeah --- today was SHIT drive into work as well  roads not plowed....not salted --- nobody driving over 35mph!!!!! took me TWICE as long to get to work..... guess it's best as i did get here "safely"

wishful/carolyn --- what's new with you hun????? great to see you popping in!!

to all you other LOVELY LADIES --- HELLOOOOOOO!!!!!! :P must get to work....have TONS to do!!!!!!!

Just a quickie...yeah hahaI know not from me you say :)

Pumma, do you have BCBS do that to ya? that is mine. I just don't get why they make ou do it so early...can't they see I'm going in and seeing the doc? I mean after all "their info isn't supposed to replace medical advice from a physician" but if I don't call I get penalized $200 on my labor and delivery! GRRRR

Ang- I PMed ya already bout the drugs....but yeah don't you love crappy driving. Luckily I live 5 minutes from work, and on my day off do you seeme going out anywhere haha....actually today isn't bad and since oil guy and repair guy have been here and gone, I can actually get some errands done today...if I can ever get my lazy butt up off the couch of course!!! I wanna go get sushi for dinner but that would also involve leaving the house....big sigh.

So my bloodwork from last night is back...it is at 15 still....AARRGGHHH news from Ang tho makes me feel better. But they want me to repeat in another week! I'm sick of being a damn pincushion! I'm mad cuz I can't get the dumb fire started, I'm cold and I want a nap! Maybe I'm so grumpy/crabby b/c AF is making her way back??? Oh who am I kidding. I'm ALWAYS grumpy/crabby!!!

Hi Ladies :)

ICSI - good for you on getting your meds cheaper. It sounds legit so I say go for it.

Steph - Hope you're feeling better. I can't imagine having to own a snow blower! Hell I wouldn't even know what one looks like

Pumma - good luck for your scan tomorrow
Here's a little follie dance for you and Angel
Image

Jayne - Good luck for your scan Monday. Can't wait to hear all about it.
Don't worry about DH's brother, as Steph said YOUR HAVING TWINS and they'll be all the more special because of what you've gone through to get them.

nimble - how are you doing? any symptoms yet?

As for me - not much going on. This 2ww till the scan is going just a slow as all the other 2ww's. Not really got any symptoms yet, bbs have calmed down now and I just feel tired but that maybe 'cos I can't sleep at night for thinking about everything.
Rang my parents Friday to tell them - Dad was out but Mum seemed really pleased (more enthusiastic than I expected anyway.) Thought Dad might ring me when she told him but no. Anyway, it was Mum's birthday Monday and we had a family dinner after work. Once my sister etc had gone I stayed on and we talked for a bit which was good. They had no idea what I've been through as they've never asked how its going. I think they think I'm crazy but seem happy for me.
Thank goodness I've now got 4 days off work and can have a lie in tomorrow - just hope I can sleep.
It feels like ages since my BFP and I just want to tell everyone but its still so early so I'll have to restrain myself.

Love to everyone else

Steph, glad the workman got there and got all the jobs done so your day is now free. Sorry your beta's still not down at zero, should not be long now though. hang in there.

Angie, both me and DH worked over there, we were estate managers for very rich people, got paid lots of money to run their house, grounds, cars etc. We were about 1 hr north of Dallas, previous to that we spent 7 months on Long Island, New York. Also spent 3 months in the late 90's on a ranch in Virginia for my boss who's main residence was in Scotland. I loved living in the US, but all good things come to an end. Now very happy back in our home town with our own little business. Glad your clinic ok'yd the pharmacy, saves you lots of dollars and every penny counts in this game.

rachel/Shantala, how you both doing?

Su/Jackie, bet your counting down the days till your scans, hope your both doing ok, and not fretting too much, hang in there.

carolyn, how you doing, hope your feeling better, and not working too hard.

jenbabes, did you have a good weekend with your sister? hope your ok and about ready for christmas.

jen1d, Hope your PMA is staying on the upward curve, not long now till your next go. Hope you hear from SW about the next stage on the adoption front before christmas.

Pumma, good luck for tomorrow.

Sorry to all you ladies i've missed, thinking of you all.

As for me, doing ok, counting down the days till my next scan and getting released from the clinic to my Dr. The shock of my SIL is a bit better today, although i think she may be a bit peeved when she finds out as she is used to being a princess, and we are going to be very close in our pregnancy's. It will be nice to have cousins so close in age.
speak soon

Su: thanks for the follie dance, it's really cute. i am glad you told your parents, i did not tell mine in the beginning, but they know now, and it makes me feel a lot better about the whole thing. my in-laws still don't know ...

Jayne: thanks for the good luck wishes :)

Steph: yep, BCBS did that too me. i agree, they could have waited a little longer, i even told the nurse on the phone that the twins looked too small on their 6 week scan and i am concerned, but they went ahead and did their usual stuff :( hang in there with the numbers, i know it can be really hard to go back there every week. so sorry, ...

angie: i am surprised menopur is so expensive, i just picked mine up last week and i paid only $280.00, which i guess is half, since my insurance pays the other half. good luck with sorting out all your meds.

talk to everyone later.

Hello ladies,

This is going to be a quick one. The last few days were fairly relaxed at work, and then BOOM!! Suddenly today everyone decides to get everything. The clients, my boss……its driving me insane. Its not tn the right time for stress, but hey!

I don't think I'll be able to get online for a few days. Have my scan tomorrow. Please let there be lots of follies growing. Apart from the tiredness I haven't had any other effects, and I was worried that maybe the medication is not taking effect. I've heard a lot of women talk about headaches, joint aches…etc.

On another note, we've booked oursleves on a last minute trip. :D We have a Christmas wedding in the family and we thought we'll join them. It will be during the much dreaded 2ww. But with all the stress and the roller coaster ride we have been through this year, we thought that was a good idea to unwind. Hopefully I'll be able to just enjoy myself and not worry about things.

Lots of love and hugs to you all. Best of luck to my cycle buddies. Have a fantastic Christmas break. :D

Hopefully I'll get a chance to log on and check on you.
