Hi Everyone!
It looks like there's a lot of newcomers since my last post. Welcome to all!
Jen8675309 - Your id cracks me up. I am going to have that song in my head just by typing it up. You and I are very similar. We are male factor and I have 3 brothers I haven't told either. I am debating telling one but the others I think will definitely be kept in the dark.
The similarities end with you rooting for the Giants. I was definitely rooting for the Pats last night. What a game that was! Ugh!
RunnerKate - Good luck with AF. I am a runner but not too serious about it. I have done marathons but typically take a camera with me along the way and enjoy taking pictures and having fun watching the crowd instead of running the race.

When we started TTC, my original gyn said that running would be fine for me, I'd just have to take it a little easy. I don't trust her too much though and will be switching to a new one once we get a BFP. My RE said that moderate exercise was better. He explained that heat is the real threat and they want to make sure our bodies don't become overheated so the heartrate should really be monitored. I have never monitored my heart when running but I know when I use the elliptical and some other machines, mine really goes up so I am not sure what I am going to do when I am pregnant. Did your RE say anything about exercising while you are taking stims? My dr said at that time I might want to cut back because the enlarged ovaries could cause some discomfort.
JustJenis - Good luck with AF to you too! I have never gone to an injections class. My pharmacy (village pharmacy) has instructional videos online. They are really helpful and watching them last time really helped. I haven't done Menopor until this cycle so I am not sure what it entails. I'll try to find the link when I am at home. Maybe it will be helpful for you if you are injecting before your class.
Things here are okay. We were back in the ER on Friday. They called my husband back in do run more tests. After looking at the x-ray again, they found he actually has double pneumonia and another minor infection. They say his results are pretty unusual for a guy his age so they got an infectious disease doctor involved as well. We were there for 4 hours Friday and then found out that the guy who was supposed to run a particular test in the lab went home for the weekend so we won't know until today if he has anything else. Right now we are hoping it is just double pneumonia. We will be meeting with the infectious disease doctor again today. I guess one good thing about going through IVF is we took all those tests to make sure we were healthy then. The ER docs were happy to know the results of those tests to rule out some of the more scary things they were considering.
I told my RE that DH had pneumonia and he said we should still proceed with the cycle. I am very happy about that. He also said that my husband should go ahead and try to get a sample frozen tomorrow as planned. I think we are going to hold off on that as I rather he get a little more rest. Instead of going tomorrow and next Tuesday, he is going next Tuesday and the one after that. The nurse agreed that that would still leave plenty of time to then have a good sample on retrieval day so I am happy with this plan. As long as DH gets better soon. He is feeling much better than last week so I think it is promising. I go in this Friday for bw and hopefully start Lupron on Saturday. We are soon to be on our way.
Good luck to all!
