Hey ladies, just checking in... We had our final u/s yesterday at 37w5d, and our boy was estimated at 9 lbs 2 oz already. They have scheduled me for a c-section on Wednesday of next week, right at the 39 week mark. Doc said it simply wasn't worth the risk to attempt vaginal delivery with a baby this large, so we opted for the c-section. We have the nursery ready to go, and we are caught up on our thank you cards for shower gifts. Finally finished up the tax return as well, so that is one less thing to worry about.
Sabi - I'm so happy to hear that your boys are doing well.
Too all - keep us posted on your deliveries and lots of good wishes to everyone.
Will check back in soon! Angela

Congratulations Sabi!! That is awesome. I am so happy to hear that you are doing so well. I can still remember when you got your BFP. I am so happy for you!
Angela - I would not be able to sleep! I know you must be super excited. Let us know how it goes, special prayers for all of you! Yay!!!!
AFM- Nothing going. Walking a lot on the treadmill to try to get him moving on down. Not sure if it is helping or not!
Keep the updates coming! I am so thrilled to see us reaching the finish line.
Sabi - congratulations, new mummy!!! Those are great weights, especially for that early!!
I am over 39 weeks and feeling great. Really. Hahaha.
Little One is a bit lower (just descended two night ago) now, so I expect we'll see more action gradually over the next week. I have little doubt this one will wait until well into March, but you never know, do you?!!
Cheers, and happy labouring to those of you who are.....
Ye may not remember me but i cycled with ye back in july/aug and just wanted to wish ye all a very safe and healthy birth, i cant believe ye are here already how time flies!!!!

7th IVF finally our precious miracle girl Kayla born 24/11/10, 8th IVF FET Sept 2012 BFP!!!
Its TRIPLETS!!!!
Just back from doctor! Nothing going on here still. Cervix is not dilated a bit and baby has not dropped. They do not think that it is going to happen for me. The doctors feel that my pelvis is too small to get him out, and I have some weird shaped pubic bone? They are going to check me one more time next Tuesday, and then schedule a c-section for Friday, the 5th. Not exactly how I pictured it, but fine with me! I just want him out!!
just realised had not posted my arrivals on this thread
Benjamin Phillip and samuel James arrived on 13 February 2010. Was induced and went into labour all going according to plan and got to pushing stage wh en Benjamin who was head down decided to tilt his head back so with all the will in the world as I was not going to be able to give birth naturally - Benjamin weighed 6lb 13 and samuel follwed 4 minutes later at 7lb 6!!! even if I had delivered benjamin naturally I would have needed a section for samuel as he had his arm wrapped round one of my ribs !!!
we spent 3 night sin hospital and been home now nearly 2 weeks - I am managing to breastfeed them both but life is one long round of feeding, changing and a little sleep - but I would not be without them for the world!!
Good luck to all those who are still waiting to deliver and hugs and kisses to all the babies xx

Carolyn and Sabi - A huge congrats to both of you! WooHoo for twin boys! Sounds like everyone is doing so well!
MG, Baylor, Daisy, Angie --- any more updates? Hang in there!
Mesa is doing great! She is fairly content and easy. She only gets fussy when she has gas or the hiccups. She does seem to be very gassy. Especially when she has been sleeping for awhile and not moving around. My son was the same way. Hopefully this will improve by about 3 months as it did with my son. I just hate to see her in pain. The nights are going well... she eats around 10:30 pm, 3:00am, and then 7:00am. She wakes around 6 am with lots of gas, but if I lay her on my chest she goes right back to sleep.
We made it though our first (and hopefully only!) round of thrush/yeast infection last week. OUCH!!!!! It felt like razor blades, shards of glass, and needles were coming out of my breasts. Apparently this is pretty common in the first couple of weeks especially if the mom was put on antibiotics (as I was post c-section). But, we are doing good now. I have had to supplement with a bottle of formula the last 2 nights as she has been very hungry between 6pm and bedtime. Hopefully my milk will catch up. I have yet to buy a pump so I am relying on Mesa to tell my body what she needs.
I am going to post a couple of pictures to photobucket. For those who don't know, there is a group for this website. The user name and password are both "ivfgroup" You can see pictures of Mesa there.
I love reading all of the updates!! I want to check out all the pics today.
AFM- we are having c-section tomorrow (Thursday) at 9am!! I can not believe this time tomorrow we will be one hour away from finally meeting our son. Too surreal.
Julie- glad to hear you are doing so well. Any insight on how to avoid thrush?
Baylor - Are you having your c-section today? Good luck!!! Hope all goes well!
Daisy -- Good luck tomorrow! Hope your c-section goes well too! As for how to avoid thrush... I'm not sure. Try to eat lots of yogurt that has the live culture / probiotics. That is supposed to help. But, if you take antibiotics, they will pass through your breastmilk to your baby... so it may be your baby that ends up passing the thrush onto you. Either way, if one of you gets it, you both have to be treated. I'm not sure which one of us passed it to the other. The good thing is that it does not tend to be as painful for the baby as it is for the mom.
Hope all is going well for everyone... can't wait to hear more updates and see some pictures.
I finally finished work today and am really tired. I have a glucose test tomorrow.
If our little Freddie has not arrived before I am having a membrane sweep on the 25th at 39 weeks. The doctor said he wanted him delivered by his due date, so here's hoping!
Take care all
Angela

Congratulations all the new mums! Baylorbear, Carolyn... etc. Daisy? How is it going?!!
I am still feeling pretty good (and big, gained new weight the past 2.5 weeks!!) at 4dpEDD.... not that I am really counting. I am confident this one will come when it is good and ready. It already descended really low last weekend, then moved on up again by early last week... thus relieving some real pelvic discomfort!!! It's now on its way down again.... slowly.
We are set up and ready for my water labour at home and in hospital, and all I need to finish are these darn reusable wipes that are taking so long to make!!! Hahaha... I know in very little time I will be pooping, sleeping, nursing, pumping baby 24/7, so I am appreciating my "free" time now!!
