LYD – I’m glad you got AF in full force so you could move forward, but it sure is yucky. And hard. That’s a tough decision on the number of eggs, since you have been successful with 3 I would stick with 3 too.

RedRiding – That is great news! What a great AFC (Antra Follicle Count). You’ll be making a dozen eggs in there!

Dallas – got it. I think I was thinking your whole cycle was costing $3000, but now that makes sense…$18,000. I thought, man if it’s $3000 out of pocket in NC, I’m going there! I’m glad you feel really good about your donor. I’m using Donor Sperm, so I totally understand feeling good about it. I know this is going to be the cycle for you!

Ester – Thanks for doing an awesome job with the list! I’m so glad you are here too!

Eggandaprayer – That’s great that you are trying again with a donor. I will be doing the “lower that beta” dance for you!

CT_Michele – sounds like an awesome week for you! Yikes, a double dose of lupron! I hope you don’t get bad headaches!

Nicksgam – I hear you. I understand about being nervous. For me, sometimes I feel like the more I know, the more nervous I am. You had a great first cycle and there is no reason to believe this one will be any different. I am wishing you all of the luck!

Cherry5 – I also believe in visualization. My acupuncturist is a huge supporter of this!

JenMink – You are too funny! I have heard Gatorade and eating chips that are really salty. That’s supposed to help. Stock up on those yummy Lays. Ugh. I hate those lupron headaches. I feel you!

AFM: Nothing new here. I meet with my clinic on Friday to write that big fat check. Yikes.

Hi everyone. Hope i can join this board. I am kind of late but just getting around to reading up. I was on the board back in 2009 June/July group and we ended up having a beautiful baby girl in april. She is going to be one in a couple of weeks and we are ready for our second one. I am on Lupron right now. Will start stils around 3/26 with ER on 4/6 (her b'day) and ET 4/9 or 4/11. I will read up on everyone's posts as soon as i get a chance. Good luck to everyone.

Hey ladies! Hope you are all doing well on this fine Monday night.

Addy- that is AWESOME! I can't believe you have 14 blasts. WOW!!! That gives you a lot of breathing room. Good luck!!!

Welcome BabiesGalore- we take all the luck and experience we can get here and it sounds like you have had a bit of both!

Cherry- wisdom from the mouth of babes as they say (or prophecy works too). Too cute!

Tiger- have fun writing that big check! You know you should really be putting it on a card first so you can get points/cash back on it. Lol... I am serious though. I do think that little IVF milestone is one of the more stressful ones...not as stressful as being midway through the 2ww, but its up there. Its also exciting though because it means you are FULL STEAM AHEAD! Enjoy.

AFM- my clinic gave me quite the scare today when they called and told me they were full for April. Turns out they are full for fresh cycles in April but could squeeze in another FET. They were confused and thought I was doing another fresh cycle. That's inspiring :roll: , seeing as they have my chart and I also made it really clear I was scheduling for FET. Still, they never did call back to confirm I was in so I am a little nervous.

I talked to my fist adoption agency today and have an appointment set up for April 6th. We were discussing international versus domestic and the lady was really encouraging. She says that there are some couples with domestic adoptions that come in and are matched before the home study is complete (of course there are others that wait much longer). Still, the discussion made me realize that it is POSSIBLE we could have a baby soon. So I got a little freaked out, especially since I am doing this FET. I just finished a deep discussion about it before dinner with DH. He is so ready to go on adoption and I couldn't be happier. The man is just as ready as can be to expand our family in any way possible! I said, "well what happens if we end up with both?" He says "bring it on, a few weeks ago after we transferred three I was sure we were going to have triplets!" How sweet is that? We're moving forward with both for real! Of course we have some time on the adoption by the time we interview agencies and officially apply. Still- it is very exciting. This is the first time I have felt like smiling in a week. It just seems so right. Still not easy by any stretch, but right.

Cherry,
I am from Alabama, ever heard of a small town called Rainbow City? That is where I was born and raised but now residing in FL. I've been back up this past weekend visiting family in Gadsden, so much fun going home to see everyone! We also have family in Trussville, and Vestavia, AL too...What part of AL are you from? I'm back "home" now and tomorrow we have our RE appt to find out more about our next upcoming cycle! So I'll definately be over here more joining in with you ladies. P.S I shopped for orange panties at VS last week but still on a mission! Anyway, I have much reading to do but I know joining you ladies over here will make this journey even better!

Blissful,
I LOVE your adoption story, and dh's attitude about the WHOLE thing! Stories like this are so encouraging and I cannot wait to hear more details :-)

Hi ladies!!!!!

I'm new to this group and hoping I can join you all. Ive done extensive fertility treatments in the past including multiple iui's. I made an attempt at my 1st Ivf cycle last month and it was cancelled due to high e2 levels. I was very optimistic and it was a huge let down for me. Ive been strong though and not letting myself get down. Thanks to the feb/march group i found strength within me to move on and not give up. Right now Im On provera for 10 days and waiting for a flow. I have not spoken to RE since my cycle was cancelled and am wondering what next. I guess I have to wait for a baseline appointment for him to give me options.

I look forward to joining your group and sharing in each others successes!

Hi Ladies! Ive decided to chime in too, so you can add me to the list! Im on day 8 of bcp's and take my last one the 29th and then hopefully start stims on the 1st of April. Our plan is to transfer 3 5 day blasts.

This is my second fresh IVF cycle. #1 was July of 2009 and transferred 2 5 days blasts. BFP with twins, lost 1 at 7 weeks and had Aimee at 26 weeks gestation (Jan 2010) and she died 4 months and 17 days later of complications of CMV. December 2010 FET transferred 1 remaining blast. BFN.

DH and I have been TTC for 8 years. I have PCOS and after weight loss a borderline type 2 diabetic. DH has low count.

I also live in Alabama and go to the ART in Birmingham and see Dr. Long.

DH is deployed to Afghanistan so I"ll be doing this cycle alone. He left his "soldiers waiting at attention" lol on ice so that we are able to do this.

So I wish all of you best wishes, much baby dust and healthy little miracles on the way!

~~Heather
Me- Heather 38 PCOS, borderline Type 2 diabetes
DH- Dave 43 low count
July 2009 IVF 1 BFP due April 2010 (DD 26 weeks, 1/12/10-05-29-10) I miss you Aimee
Dec 2010- FET BFN
April 2011 IVF 2- BFN

Blissful - Most adoption agencies will put you on "hold" in the pool if you end up pregnant if you want. That way once you've given birth and want to come back, you don't lose everything that you've already invested. We're actually signed up with an agency currently and are on hold as we decided to TTC biologically after our first placement failed. We decided to move forward with IVF while we're on hold to see if its even possible for us and while making sure we have no regrets before going back in the pool.
Me= 32 Endo
DH= 30 Low and Morphology
TTC= 1 years
IVF #1= 1 beautiful blast transferred on 4/26, 1st Beta on 5/6 = 191 (BFP!), 2nd Beta on 5/8 = 492!
