Tara and Dokota - Glad to hear the u/s went great. I bawled on my first one too Tara. I know that they are just blobs but to hear them in there working so hard at growing and living is just overwhelming. Wait until you see them moving and grooving around. I just wanted to lay there all day and watch.

Dakota - Funny you should say that about the gray hair. I was just looking at my big patch right in front this am thinking, wow there are a lot more there than before this ivf insanity. I think I am going to color it this weekend. That is ok to do pg isn't it?

Gennessa - C-section vs vaginal is so tough. I am very concerned with this too. I would agree that interviewing a few more OBs just to be safe might be worth it. It is just hard not to think of the side that this OB you saw, who sounds like a big wig and has a ton of experience, obviously got to this c-section only policy for a reason. I just don't know. I saw you posted on Double Trouble, maybe they will come pack with more insight. It would be nice to have the option though.

angram - Welcome!! And congratulations!! I have my 12 week u/s on the 28th as well. Then I graduate to the OB! I am excited about that but also bummed. I love my RE and the nurses there. I wish they could take me all the way through. Do you already have your OB?

I'm glad you asked that Rubylee, I've been trying and to only get the same display as you. Someone posted on the May/June thread that all you had to do was cut and paste it into your signature, I did that and only get those signs like you.

Hopefull someone can give us some insight!!

Ok Dakota, I figured it out:
Copy the one that says bbCode, but only from [img]to[/img] (including them), do not copy the starting [url ...] and do not copy the final [/url]...

Good Luck!

Question about weight for you ladies.

I am a few days shy of 8 weeks and I cant button my pants. My DR said that is normal for twins and I will probally have a "pop" at 10 weeks because that is when you stop progesterone and the placenta starts producing it. Something about your uterus starts to thin so it can stretch easier. Anyway, I have gained 2 lbs, mostly my fault for eating bad on the 4th holiday weekend, but why is my butt and thighs getting bigger? I've heard that things get distrubuted, but my butt and thighs? It just started this week. The pants I have on now I chose because they were big on me so I thought I would be able to button them and just have them big in the butt and hips, but they are tight and I had to use the rubber band to hold them together.

Any insight?? I know that every women and every pregnancy is different.

Good morning ladies. Happy friday. Thank goodness its friday I do not think I can take another day at work. It is not good here my boss is not very nice about the being preg thing and is starting to cuase me problems and a lot of stress. But this weekend I am going to do nothing but relax.

Rubylee I agree with you 100% about the ob thing. I have thought about it and from I have heard she is one of the best. She is the one my RE refers all mulits and I trust him greatly. And I guess themore I think about it a c-section is not that bad it is controlled and quick. The recovery is hard but I have a great support system here.

Dakota do not worry I have gained 4 pounds!!! And I am only 9wks2d. And I have been eating healthy(not my choice my DH is making me  )
I have two pair of pants that fit right now so I keep changing between them. Oh well. But my good friends that have children just gave me a bag full of clothes so this weekend I will clean out my closet and put the new stuff in and the old in a box for now. They say it is different for everyone but my mom said she gained a lot and so did my sisters so I guess it runs in the family. I am trying very hard though to eat right so that I do not gain over what is healthy.

Anyways I have to get back to work. talk to you all soon

Happy Friday Ladies!!

Well, I am 11 weeks now and just this week my friends are saying I look like I am actually showing. I for sure have lost my waist, I look like a tree trunk. I have gained about 4 pounds and haven't been able to wear my normal jeans for a couple of weeks. Hello flowy dresses and skirts! I know my mom gained wait all over. So, whatever, bring it on i say!

Dakota - I'm also having a clothing issue, but luckily have not yet gained any weight..odd. None of my pants are comfortable, unless I use a rubber band to keep the front buttons together. I've started wearing more flowing skirts to work, but then my shirts seem to cling and you can tell I have a slight belly. I'm guessing folks at work just think I've had one too many beers lately :) I have also read lately that although our bellies won't start showing (ok, maybe shouldn't :)), we will notice changes in our thighs and butt. That's not really something I'm looking forward to, since that's an area I always complain about, but it's the small price we pay. I've been so incredibly sick at night, and have to sleep in during the mornings, but I've read that working out does really help. I was walking every night until this week, so I need to get a routine together and get my butt back out there. I can't remember which book, but one of them gives you week by week exercises to pick up and this week had chair lunges. Said this will help the thighs and butt area :)

Rubylee - Wow, congrats on almost entering the 2nd trimester. I'm so looking forward to the 12 week mark. I do have my OB that I've been using for a couple of years, while DH and I were TTC. I absolutely love him and he has the best bedside manners, but he's also so popular in Austin that you have to wait in the waiting room for hours. I'm going to ask my RE if he recommends anyone else, but I do know he likes my current OB, so we'll see.

I had a scary call from my endocrinologist yesterday and they wanted me to come in this morning for an appt. They just said my lab came back and they wanted to see me, so I was panicking. I had a partial thyroidectomy a few years ago and am on meds to balance out my TSH, so he just said it was elevated and he wanted to up my dosage. I swear, can people not give you this info over the phone, I thought I was dying :) All is well though, just have to get my levels checked monthly...just one more round of bloodwork for another set of doctors :) Other than that, everything is great and I'm totally ready for the weekend. No big plans, other than laying around and sleeping.

Tara- Where are you? Hope all si well with you!!

Angram- I've been doing the rubber band trick for about a week and a half now. Comes in real handy since it stretches as you move around.

Genn- Sorry to hear about your boss. Why is he being a prick? Whats his deal? Hope you are relaxing well.

Rubylee- How are you feeling? The m/s starting to cool off? Hopefull when you hit 12 weeks you'll wake up and there will be no sign of it.
I still really havent gotten it. Around 5 weeks I woke up about 4 days in a row to go potty and ended up having to crawl onto the bathroom floor because the nausa was so bad, but it was only those 4 days at about 3 am. Some days on and off I get queezy, but thats about it.

Hope all is well with everyone. Dogs all screaming for food!!!

Dakota - Dare I say I think ms might be lightening up!! The last two days have been really good, just a little nausea at night after I take my prenatals. I am crossing my fingers. How many pooches do you have? We are up to 3 and 2 cats. This house is going to be wild when these twins start moving around!

Angram - I too have been waiting for that 12 week mark. I was hoping I would be more relaxed about the whole thing by then but I am beginning to think that was as pipe dream. That is so great you love your OB. Mine is new and she is so hard to get in to see as well. I have to see a different doc for my initial consult because she has nothing open for almost a month! She too is really renown for her multiple skills and is at UCLA hospital which has an amazing neonatal unit. So I guess we deal with it for the big wigs. My girlfriend told me to try making appointments as early in the am as possible so they don't have time to get backed up. You should try it i too f you can.

Have a good weekend all!

Aaahhh- I just woke up from the best nap!!! 1-3:30pm!!! WOW it was fabulous!! Until DH called and woke me up  o'well, if I didnt get up then I wont sleep tonight.

Rubylee- I have two fur-babies. Brother & sister Siberian Huskies that are almost 14 years old. They dont bark, but are very vocal, so when I say they scream or cry, thats what they actually do. They are pretty spoiled. When DH left for his trip the other day I told him he had to be really careful this year and make sure he comes home in one piece since we are a family of 6 now. He looked at me like "holy crap, never thought about it that way".

Well I am off to try my new floor steamer so I dont have to scrub grout on my hands & knees anymore. Wish me luck that it really works!!

Hi Everyone

Sounds like everyone is having a good weekend. I love hearing about everyone stories. I too am having a hard time with my clothes already. Sorry I have been MIA for a few days (Thanks Dakota) my DH's grandma passed away so we have been doing the viewing and funeral all weekend.

I can't believe how tired I have been getting. Yesterday, after the funeral we were at MIL for the dinner and I was heating up tortillas and it exhausted me. I had to go take a nap while everyone was there cause I couldn't keep my eyes open. It also seems like the more tired I get the more nausous I get! Weird!

Angram - I am so glad your call was not an emergency. Sometimes the Dr's office can scare the crap out of you by those phone calls. Hope you are feeling ok.

Rubylee - thanks for your help with the ticker. I have trying to add mine for a week!

Ok ladies I have a question. I have to go on a business trip next week. I leave Saturday and don't return until the following Thursday. I really don't want to go but I talked to me RE and he said it was perfectly fine for me to go. DH doesn't want me to go but I think that is just because he doesn't want us to be seperated. Has anyone had to fly in their first trimester? Any suggestions. I need to call the airline to see if I can take the needles and progesterone in my carry on because I am too afraid of my luggage being lost to check it.

Have the rest of a good weekend. I am leaving in a bit to take my mom to see Mamma Mia. Sister saw it last night and said it was amazing.

Tarabeltwo - I'm sorry to hear about DH's grandma, my thoughts are with you and your family. I've been just as tired and I thought maybe it wasn't normal to be this tired, but I think it is. I'm still trying to figure out my nauseous trigger and I think it is exhaustion. We stayed out until 2:30am Friday night, and I already wasn't feeling well, and yesterday was probably the worst m/s I've had yet. I haven't traveled yet and not planning to the first trimester, but I have several friends that did and it wasn't a big deal. Calling the airline about the needles is a good idea though. Let us know how Mama Mia is, looks like a good chick flick.

Dakota - Long naps rock, don't they. I'm sure DH thinks the only thing I do is sleep, but I just can't get enough these days. We have one dog, Sadie, and one cat, Krause (aka fatty, he's 23lbs :)). My DH's kitty dissappeared about 2 months ago (he's devastated), so he was talking about adopting another one. I don't think I'm up for it right now, just too many changes happening..maybe later. I absolutely love animals and couldn't imagine life without them, especially my 12 year old Sadie..she's my first born :)

Rubylee - I totally agree with the 12 week mark feelings, it probably is a pipe dream to think we'll be all cool and relaxed. Guessing DH and I will be like this for another 7-8 months :)

Well I'm off to lay down for a few, before heading off to the store. Is anyone else having a hard time grocery shopping, because absolutely nothing looks/tastes good?
