Thank you!
I think that I am going to do it...
You are right.. the mere $200 is a drop in a hat compared to the entire IVF cycle.. so, why wouldn't I?

My clinic works with the AP'ist's .. and yes, it happens right in the recovery room..

From their clinical study - they see a marked increase in success with the patients that do the laser AP.

Thank you for your help and advice!
I will let you all know how I feel on FRIDAY!! :D

You are most welcome! More than happy to give my opinion - I have plenty of them!

DH is in recovery and everything went fine in surgery - we got good news as we have a cause for his pain and the cause is not serious! : )

Hi Gang!

I just got the official BFN from my RE  She wants to consult again before we move forward (got an appt for Friday! : )). I am now anxious for this - is it good news or bad news? On the one hand, I'd like to talk with her about my concerns regarding my cycle....on the other hand, she could feel that I shouldn't move forward (yikes!). Well, luckily only 2 days to wait and I find out. In the meantime, here are the good things in my life:
- my husband and i are both healthy
- i have a new healthy nephew, 3 days old today!
- now i get to try acupuncture :P
- i have a huge, amazing, loving family and two adorable furbabies
- i have made amazing friends on this board who are going to have BABIES IN 9 MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for all the support guys - I'll keep you updated on what RE says my next steps are. For those of you who got a BFN - perhaps we'll cycle again. For those of you still in 2ww - I'm going to watch the board for your results![/list]

One more thing to be thankful for!!! I get to stop progesterone and let AF do her thing - the cramps will be over soon - and now I can put a heating pad on my belly : )

Sporuthaus: I am really sorry. It's good that you are thinking of ahead. I am sure it is just a consult to go over if they need to change the protocols. After each of my failed cycles, i had a consult. So do not worry. And glad that DH is doing well. Lots of good things ahead for you. Hugs.

My mind has already been put to ease now that I know other REs like to consult in between cycles. It does make sense - this is where they make the most money

So, I have a 1:30 appt with my RE on Friday (amazing luck!) AND I managed to get a 3:30 appt on Friday with the #1 infertility acupuncturist in the entire midwest! I'll be with her for 90 minutes on Friday and we'll go from there.

Now - I'm just so thrilled how easily everything has fallen together. It will be nice to see my RE and talk with her about next steps before seeing the AP for the first time! Everything's coming up sprouthaus!!! :P

good evening all

SPROUT I love your PMA

BG congrats on BFP

BUBBLES good luck tomorrow I will be praying for you

Today was my first day back and I was so busy on the floor time went so fast but I am watching the clock again. I have another quick question I took trigger 10/6 and someone said (sprout i think it was you) I could poas 10/16 if its neg does it mean bfn or is it to see if hcg is out of my system so what am I hoping for when I test in the morning? Any input will help.

smattison did you get some rest? I hope so you need it.

Thanks to everyone for all the support you give me and the patience you have with the never ending obession. :D

amfmbaby -

Since hCG is a protein - every person will metabolize it a little differently. 10 days after you took the trigger is probably enough time to have the hCG from the trigger shot be out of your system.

My advice for POAS is the following - If you are going to POAS, don't get scared or upset by seeing a BFN. 10 days past trigger is only 5dp5dt or 7dp3dt (can't remember which you did) and thus probably WAY too early to see a BFP. I think I heard that once the embies are replaced, it will take 4-6 days for implantation - and your body won't start making hCG until the embie implants. Therefore.....it would probably be a few more days until you see a BFP.

So, if you test today - do it with the thought that you are checking to see if the trigger shot is out of your system. As you move forward in your 2ww remember - a +ive HPT is definitely a +ive, but a -ive does not prove a -ive. There have been many women on the board who had a negative HPT only to have their beta prove them wrong (same day tests!).

Don't forget you trigger 36 hours before ER. I got my 1st neg at 3dp5dt and again the next day. At 5dp5dt I got my BFP and that was really early. I think the norm is 7dp5dt or 9dp3dt.

Hope this helps!!!

Post by amfmbaby »

Hey ladies I did poas and it was -ive I did feel slightly disappointed, but realize it is early and I am remaining optimistic I just spoke to my nurse and I had concerns with vomiting this morning she said it could be from PIO level being high my estradiol level is low only 152 does anyone know about this shouldn't it be higher just wondering (found something else to worry about) :D

THANK YOU SPROUT AND SMATTISON FOR ALL OF YOUR HELP
