Hi Ladies,

Well, my one and only one fertilized egg is 2 cell grade A on 2nd day of ER, Clinic said wish it can growth to 8 cell today. I can only have 3 day transfer since I only got 1left. Hope it surived till the transfer time. I can't really sleep last night since it is so depresssing for only have 1 possible outcome. Understand age is huge factor regarding egg quality, but what else can I do....??, I can't reverse time. My DH and I already discuss about if we would like to put up another sum of $ doing another cycle. He doesn't want to talk about it @ this time yet.

Just keep our finger cross and hope best happened today.

Hi ladies, just came back from another U/S. I found out that my clinic only give me counts on the follies over 10mm, turns out that I have 3 follies at 14, 13, 10, and 7 smaller ones less than 10mm, WHEW.

10bear : I know it's hard, but try not to worry so much. You need plenty of R&R to be ready to receive little embie. Everything will work out! I will keep everything crossed for you, tons of baby dust

katie99: Thank you for the support. Sorry about all the stress you have to go thru with the nurse. I do wish my pharmacy would send my chocolate! DH will finish them before I do, he ate all my holloween candies 2 week before holloween. Now it's killing him because I told him no coffee, or soda, or beer until after ER.

turtle-Frany : Believe or not, LuLu is my real name. In my language it means morning dew. Did you call your RE regarding the spotting? I think my RE start Lupron late for my last cycle, that's why they had trouble suppress me.

Supergenius: Welcome back, nice to hear from you again! Thanks for the info, that's exactly what my nurse said today. The follies will grow about 2mm a day, I just hope all the little ones will catch up fast. Grow follies Grow!!! HA HA

Well, had my Day 11 u/s today – I have follicles at 17, 14, 13, 12 and 11 and the rest are smaller. I have got to continue to stim over the weekend and go for another u/s on Monday. I think my ER will be Wed 11/11. They are also dropping my menopur down by a third. I just hope my smallers ones catch up with them dropping down my dose over the weekend. (for tracker: next us 11/9, ER likely 11/11)

Justwannabamom – you poor thing – why does everything have to be so damn complicated huh? I hope that you surgery has gone well – you really sound like you are having a rough time of it – your DH too. Good that you have your RE’s number though – I’d have it on speed dial!

Lulu – great news about your follies – it sounds like your follies are coming along nicely – mine definitely seem to be slow burners!

Cheekyone – hope your u/s goes well on Sat – let us know. Here’s fingers crossed for our ERs

Turtle0619 –Hope you managed to get some sleep! woohoo for impending arrival of baby in a box! you’re so right, it’s the small things isn’t it?! well done to you – I am seriously impressed with your dieting success and exercise regime –that’s a mighty feat – am worrying a bit now about my lack of exercise – I’m not overweight but I truly can’t bring myself to go to the gym – plus with work I don’t have to seconds to spare. Sounds like your body is in perfect shape ready for this...ready and waiting !

To-have-fun – I hope your ER went well – thinking of you.

Riley Baby Maybe – eek – it’s amazing how much more expensive ICSI is isn’t it. Hope you got some financing sorted.

Julia – Waiting is frustrating isn’t it – you’ll be starting in no time. Enjoy your trip.

Kerribell – I feel that way about ICSI – we are borderline as to whether we will have it - I would rather have it to avoid the situation where none of the eggs fertilize - but I don’t think it’s our choice since we are getting this cycle of treatment free on the NHS here in the UK.

Skylar – good luck for your first injection tomorrow – they’re a doddle once you get the hang of them!

Working a crazy long day today... 8AM -midnight... so I thought I'd pop in real quick and see how everyone is doing. Me, still waiting...lol. Nothin' else to report.

10bear So sorry you only ended up with 1 embie. You are in my thoughts and prayers that it survives to implantation so at least you have a shot on this cycle. I would recommend ICSI if you need/decide to go again. My RE told me 80% fertilization rate with ICSI. I read somewhere that female embies divide slower than male ones but are just as resilient. I guess there's a higher percentage of male babies born to IVF because the fastest dividing ones are often chosen for transfer. So maybe yours is a little girl just hanging in there and waiting for the right environment. Best wishes to you! Let us know how you're doing!!!

Mommieof2 Welcome! Someone posted that the previous board had something like a 68% BFP. Maybe we can beat them? You aren't alone in being obsessed with searching IVF boards, etc. How do you think I ended up here? The IVF process is long and stressful. And can come to a very abrupt disappointing end. My 2ww is over Tuesday. I'm already wondering what my "next steps" are if I'm BFN.

I got 8 follies growing! (maybe 9 if we get lucky)

But they are all about the same size. 6-8mm

My RE is very happy with this! They said that they are growing about the same size and that they were happy that there was no BIG one that was way out of control and taking over.

Anyway, Im over Hurdle #1 the stim meds are working & i got good follies growing ( and with my AMH 0.25 there is Faith that this might work!! )


So i cont to do meds this weekend and go in on monday for another us/bw . They said i will prob have ER over the weekend friday or saturday!!

Well we made it home after surgery. All went well I actually feel fine other than a headache probably just from stressing but surgery wise I feel great. I wanted to thank some of u for pointing out the good about my situation in that at least it was figured out and will now help to improve my chances of bfp. Thanks for all who were thinking of me. Dh is doing good he says since he didn't take any vicodin today its beer time.LOL! So I think he is really starting to feel better!

10bear just wanted to say again how sorry I am u have ended up with just that 1 superstrong embie! I know that is very dissapointing! I went through similar situation my first ivf. I too right away thought it was done and started thinking about doing it again and dh would not even hear of it he said once was it we were not doing it again. I was devastated but here we r now trying again so try not to worry your dh will come around to the idea but first give this one a chance to stick like glue!

Riley baby and olim they do say icsi increases fertilization rates but we did icsi on 10 eggs in my first ivf and only 4 fertilized no one could tell me why.I think sometimes u just get unlucky.we r just one case of course and my new dr says that just won't happen this time. Also a bit of info for u my new RE does icsi on everyone even if they don't need it. He believes that strongly in it We have to do it no matter what cause dh counts r way too low to try just plain ivf.just thought I would share that with u.

Hi everyone, haven't been on the board lately. Hope everyone is doing well, there are so many this cycle it is hard to keep track of everyone I'm doing my FET on Nov 11th. I have 2 frosties left so I hope they stick. I'm finally feeling better after being so sick a week ago from probable swine flu/bronchitis. Ihope this cycle works I'm on ganarelix instead of lupron cause it never suppressed me. My clinic has never done an FET with ganarelix before. So I really hopes it works it just made me nervous to hear that I'll try to keep up with everyone soon.

Hi Albany07.. I too started stims on saturday .. I started with 225 menopur 2x/day and then on wed they added ganirlex in the morning. On thursday night they raised my menopur to 300 but kept my morning doses to 225. And now tonight they raised my dose again to 375 for the evening.

My right ovary has 4 nicely growing follicles, and a couple of small ones..but my left isn't doing much and only has 4 small ones that measure <10

Don't worry bout the small ones.. they got to start out small to get bigger!

I had my first u/s today and i had 8 follies and they were all 6-8mm. so it takes time, im only on day 5 of stim meds...

they will grow!

I noticed that you too are taking Metformin!! Ive been on this too. It has made me so sick the first 2-3 weeks of taking it. Ive gotten better with it though... I hope you have done better with it!

Thanks everyone letting me join your group. I found out from the RE nurse I needed to start injections today not Saturday. My poor DH was so nerves giving me an injection his hands was shaking which made me nerves. He end up doing a good job. I almost fainted when I found out how many more injection my nerves man will have to give me. Lord give me strength.
