AOTW - I'm planning on taking 4 months off from work and will then hopefully go part-time. I'm waiting to have that discussion until I'm on leave because I might feel differently once Baby Boy is here. So far, with respect to childcare, my MIL is willing to take him one day a week (maybe two) and then hubby will be working from home for one day a week. So that should cover any time I have to be in the office, but we are checking out day cares and getting on waitlists just in case - plus if we have to do drop in care, we know where we're going.
Sounds like everyone is coming right along. I have to say the worst right now for me is being tired and the heartburn. If I sleep on my left side - heartburn. If I eat too much or not enough - heartburn. Tums and I have become really good friends lately, with Colace at a close second.
Bliss - I ended up doing that too with my weight. I gained a lot in the beginning due to the progesterone, I think, since I hadn't changed my eating habits and am now maintaining. 2nd trimester, I have gained some, but definitely not the 1lb per week the books were telling me. I figure if I can maintain until my next appointment, I'll be right on track, which would be nice.
ttcnb - If the water and fruits and veggies don't work, try colace. Its been helping me a lot as I enter in the my third trimester. Its also helping keep the ligament pain down as I had a really bad episode a few weeks back and the nurse said that constipation can irritate the uterus and ligaments and trigger it. I'm glad the little ones are good. I've had my own couple of scares and its not fun.
Dallas - I just had a massage last weekend and it was fabulous - and also educating. The gal showed me different ways to reduce back pain and ligament pain with different pillow positions. It was fantastic.
Wishing - Congrats on the second trimester! and that you have nothing to report.... That's been pretty much me this entire pregnancy, which has been nice.
22 years - Congrats! The time flies by... I can't believe that I'm already scheduling birth classes and hospital tours and putting together my birth plan. Seems like we just announced it to the family.
Dogz and Prayersnipes - We didn't have an ultrasound until week 20 (first and only was at week 7) so I can completely relate. Its so hard to wait, but definitely enjoy it while you can.
AFM - We're quickly moving forward with items. So far the placenta previa hasn't corrected itself. We're now doing ultrasounds every 4 weeks, which while fun to see Baby Boy, is also getting old as well. This Friday we have our ultrasound, GD test, and I also have to get the rH negative shot - fun trip. And then Tuesday, we'll meet with our OB. Our old OB had to unexpectedly resign due to family medical issues, so we get a new doctor for the third trimester. All sorts of fun in our household. With the placenta previa and possibly a c-section a few weeks early, we may actually deliver the week between Christmas and New Years. So, we're trying to plan accordingly, with the hope that it corrects itself down the road. We're signed up for classes and the tour, the nursery is finished, and I guess I'm having my showers at the end of the month, which will be fun.
Other than that, we're tired, swollen, and overall managing as we progress. So far we don't have a name yet for Baby Boy, but have a few ideas. We're going to wait until the birth to name him so that there's at least one surprise left for the family (but they're definitely letting us know what they think of that idea as well - oh well

) And our nursery is the Eddie Bauer Enchanted Hollow series, which is all woodland creatures. A nice forest theme for Baby Boy.
Hope all is well.
