Okay,

The update is now in. As for us, we are freezing. It took me half an hour to scrape the ice off the windshields of my mini van and then I had to pry open the doors just to get in! This is why I lived in Florida for so long! Anyway, because of the ice, our cub scout meeting was cancelled last night, so I worked on painting the baby's room. We now have 1 and 1/2 walls painted with the background color. If the weather continues to be nasty, I will be working on it again tonight!

Kim - I know what you mean about the round liagment pain. That is some of what my pains have been. However, I am now doing much better. The pains only come about three to four times a day and they are usually when I have been sitting, standing or otherwise not moving for a while.

Tasha - I am sorry the Babies R US was not an organized event. I went in the hours after the event so there would be less people and we could check to see if there were any good buys.

Colleen - I am not a procastonator. I love to get everything done early because I hate stress from deadlines. Once I get bigger, I know it will be more difficult to do the detailed painting

Good Morning Girls....

Kim sorry to hear your having pains, but I think it comes with being pregnant. I have had a few here and there, but they aren't to unbearable yet.... take care and good luck with the report cards.

Racheal- thanks for the updated list... it's looking very cute. I hear ya about the ice... it's been very cold here the last few days, but then again that is our normal January weather in Chicago. Hopefully the weather will get better for you soon... we have clients we work with in Dallas and they are closed today because of the ice. Also your boys are very cute.... I'm sure your little girl will be just as adorbale.

Hope you all have a great day!
Tasha

hi girls... good to hear that all is well, except for the round ligament pain.... i too have that.... i've also started wearing a pregnancy support belt, as i am getting bigger and have a TERRIBLE back!! i still see my chiro guy at least once a week... with my other two pregnancies i got massive sciatica, and at times could not walk.... so trying to avoid that!!... i just can not wait till friday (two days YEAH!!!!)... it's seems like it's taken forever to get this far...

rachael- cute kids... good luck on working on the room.... it's weird because before this pregnancy i was not a procastinator... i was an over planner and kept everything up-to-date and on time... Ever since i get preggers i've got this sense of "oh well, what ever..." which is so unlike me.... with the other two kids i had the room completely done and the murals painted by the 6th month... i kind of think that i'm having a girl because i'm totally different this time around... are you different then you were with the boys?? any major differences you noticed?? sorry about the cold and ice... we here are used to that sort of thing.... i actually love the winter here in Chicago... i love snow and we are susposed to get a little more in the next few days.... we have not had a whole lot of it this year....

tasha- liking the cold.... i had to take the kids out this monring and it was so cold.... i ended up driving out to Babies r us today... finally... i've been needed to do that for a few weeks... well i got all that i needed and saw a lot of really cute girl stuff.... did you find everything that you wanted to get.... you'll have a hard time not buying all the cute stuff there...

Kim- glad that you found us over here... glad that you are doing well other then the pain, which we all have grown to love, not really, but we'll do what it takes!! the weeks waiting for are scan seem so long, but then they go by faster that you anticipate.... it will be here soon.. good luck with the report cards and take care... good luck in finding out or not finding out... it's a hard dilemma for me right now, and i only have 2 days to decide...

take care everyone!!

Colleen- wow only 2 more days... how exciting. I hope these next 2 days just fly by for your sake. Yeah I don't mind the cold and snow... However, when it does snow I'd like to not to have drive in it because people all of a sudden forget how to drive in snow (even though they have probably lived her their whole life). Thank god for 4 wheel drive though.... Yeah I saw a ton at Babies-R-Us that I loved... we actually bought 4 sun dresses for her.... cute little shorts w/ ruffles. I'm so excited.

Hope you have a great day-
Tasha

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all doing well. It seems like everyone is moving foward very nicely. It is so exciting.

I am sorry I did not check in over the last few days but I have been a little busy with work and at home. But please know, that you, your families and especially your little beannies are all in my prayers everyday.

Tasha - The outfits sound so cute. Target had a sale over the weekend and I bought a few Winnie the Pooh onesies, a cute little hat and some socks. They are so tiny. I find it so hard to believe that very soon I will have someone to wear them. I still can't believe how blessed we are.

Colleen - I am sorry that your back gives you so much trouble. I know that pain is awful. I hope that this pregnancy treats you and your back a little bit better. Did you decide if you want to find out the baby's sex? I absolutely want to know. We have names picked out (well actually, we agreed on a boys name, William but I have a girls name I want, Lily, but my husband is still on the fence) and I can't wait to know the sex so I can start calling him/her by name when I talk to him/her. I give those who don't find out so much credit but I know not knowing but I am so impaitent that it will drive me crazy. Hopefully, the baby will cooperate during the sono so we can tell if not then I guess I'll have to wait.

Tasha - I hope you are well. I'm in NY and it is pretty cold today also but I really should not complain because we had a pretty mild winter so far.

Rachael - Your boys are so cute and they look so happy. Thank you for updating the list. You are so far ahead of me in preparation. We have not picked out a crib or anything yet. I did go to Babies r us over the weekend and saw a crib that I liked but I want to look around some more. The baby's room is pretty small so I don't know what other pieces I am going to get but I'm sure a dresser and a changing table at the very least.

Kim - It is so good to hear from you. I am sorry you had pains but glad that it is nothing serious and lucky you got to hear the heartbeat again. I too have to wait a while for my next scan. It is not until Feb 8th which is still over three weeks away and my last one was over 3 weeks ago. I'm going crazy waiting but at least I have an OB appointment next week so hopefully I will get to hear the heartbeat.

As for me I'm doing well. Still feeling a little "yucky" (sorry, I do not know any other word to describe it) but nothing that I should complain about. I still am not showing very much and can't wait until I am a little bit bigger. I started seeing a therapist to help me deal a little better with my anxiety and it seems to be helping. Now I just worry every other minute instead of every minute  I just made a reservation for my DH and I to go away for a romantic evening at a nice hotel nearby in early March. I figured it would be the last chance for us to get away for a while so we should take advantage of it.

All my best,
Nance

Hello Nance... it's great to hear from you. However, sorry to hear your still feeling yucky... I hope it's gets better soon. Yeah I hear ya about having a mild winter so far... I think this is the coldest it has been all winter, which is pretty good. Those names you have picked out are beautiful... isn't it so exciting! I can't wait... I think as each day goes by I get even more excited.

Well chat with you soon-

Hello everyone! Sounds like things are going well for everyone over here :-) I guess we are now all in that growing pains stage that is just part of the process. :-) I too have been having the round ligament pains but not too bad, the tiredness and sickness have all passed. I feel the baby usually everyday but not very strong most of the time. I have my Level II ultrasound monday! Yeah!

Tasha - The outfits sound so cute.

Nance - The Winnie the Pooh sounds very cute too.

Rachael- your boys are so handsome! I am looking forward to getting a crib set up so I see what my crib set looks like out of the bag :-)

Kim- glad everything is okay and the Normal Pains of pregnacy can really catch you off guard. Even the strong kicks at first when you aren't accoustomed to them.

Colleen I feel your pain about getting bigger. It almost scares me with my size and age. I was heavyset before starting the IVF process (140 @ 5'4") but then I gain 20 pounds just with the BCP and stimulation. So the extra weight and age on top of pregnacy has me concerned. I feel about 8 months pregnant now. :-\ Fortuantely, I really don't have any back problems and have not had any back pains as of yet. :-) Back pain is the worst!

Well take care everyone!

Hello, my frozen chickadees!

Yes, it's chilly here in Ohio too...brrr.. makes it very difficult to get the dog out for a walk...which he needs, but I hate! :(

Rachel, Thanks for adding me to the list! And holy cow, an $80 crib!!!!! My DH and I were at Baby's R Us on MOnday looking at cribs, and we didn't have any deals even close to that here. We have narrowed down our choices though, because we're getting black cribs (still deciding on weather to go for two or try another approach...any ideas?) we didn't have too many choices. We're doing a funky black/white color scheme, and we're putting black and white photos of family members around the room...it'll be retro in a way. BTW--Your boys are cutie pies!

Colleen--I'm with you on the procrastination....I'm usually like Racheal...everything's gotta get done now! However, I've been so laid back since the pregnancy, which for me is probably a good thing. However, I know I may not have the full 9 months for these sprouts, so I better get hustling! I have one of those support belts too...just haven't figured out how in the heck to wear the dang thing! Good luck at your scan on Friday! Can't wait to hear the news...

Nance-- Sorry to hear you're still not feeling well...I think your idea about a getaway sounds like a fantastic idea! I love your name ideas--if you do end up picking Lilly, there's an adorable book by Kevin HEinkes called "Lilly and the Purple PLastic Purse"....you gotta get it for her! As for a small nursery, we've got the same problem--with 2 babies! ugh! Our nursery already has a built in dresser, which is great....but after 2 cribs and a small changing table, I don't think I'll have room for a rocker/glider. Which bums me out. However, my creative DH is still considering wacky options! Let me know if you have any ideas....BTW--I read the Belly Laughs book already, it was a riot!

Cowgirl--I'm glad to hear I"m "normal" yet again! ha ha! Good luck at your level II on Monday. :P

Buckeyegal - As for the crib, my children never outgrown their cribs size wise. No they actually out climbed their cribs! By the time they were a year old, they both had turned into Huddini and were escaping nightly. If you want the extra room, you will more than likely have enough room in one crib for them to be comfortable together. Later, of course, you will have to find a way to keep two toddlers in a small room, but by then, you might have babes that sleep together anyway. My boys both sleep in the same bed everynight dispite having their own seperate beds. In fact, they have the option of having their own rooms, but they never sleep apart, so we combined them and turn the extra room into an office they can use for homework and projects.

All,

I hope everyone is well. I will be out of contact for a few days starting tomorrow. My uncle passed away in his sleep yesterday and I will be making the long trip to Florida as soon as the funeral arrangements are set. My OB does not want me to trael, but I have already put my foot down and she is making arrangements for me to travel with all of my records. Worst case, if anything happens, I will be close to my old OB and can use him for the time I am there.

God Bless you all!

Racheal- I'm so very sorry to hear about your uncle. At least he is no longer suffering and is at peace with the lord. Please know that you & your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Hope you have very safe travels and that nothing happens to you or your little one.

cmoscar - I am so sorry about your uncle :-( I am sure the traveling will not cause you any problems but try not to get too stressed as it is not good for your or your baby. It is very wise of you to take your medical records for precautionary reasons.

Buckeyegal- at first I thought there was a good chance I was carrying twins (per doc) I started looking at some twin chat boards and I think it was pretty close to 50/50 that put both babies in the same bed. But there were several comments that couples that did put them in the same bed had better experiences based on what was said. Don't know if that helps but maybe you could find some twin boards and ask the question. But you had better not forget about us over here ;-)

Take care everyone,
Cowgirl

rachael- i'm so sorry for your loss... he is now in heaven watching over you and your little one... take it easy on the trip and walk often.. our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family...

kim- as for the twins in the same crib... my girl friend had twins and put them in the same crib as they seemed to sleep better together, and loved to always be touching each other.... i too know that all the odds, and my dr says that we will not go full term and should plan on a May baby.... so like you, have a few less weeks then 40.. and as for the support belt, i tried the one that has like two belts and another thing that goes over the top of the tummy, and it didn't seem to work, after the 20 minutes of getting this thing on, and it was itchy... i ended up getting the medela pregnancy support belt, which is simple and one blet thing that starts at the lower back and you fasten it under the front belly part... it's not itchy and is ok.... i'm sure that it's not as supportive as the other one, but it's enough for some releif...

nance- i guess for now you want to be bigger, but when you get further along, you'll be glad.... i love the name lilly, actually it's on our girls list also... i think that we have 20+ names for each boy and girl... I think that we have decided that we are going to look at the private parts and not have them tell us anything.... that way we'll have an idea, but still not be sure... i just can not give up the complete anticiaption/surprise of the whole thing... i think that if you find out, you are brave.... just remember that they do make errors.... our neighbor was told girl... so they did the princess room and all pink.... and she ended up with a boy... so just remember that it's not 100%. Good luck that your baby is not modist.. I'm actually hoping that our babies legs are crossed and we can not find out... that would make me happy!!! weird, i know...

cowgirl- i hope that you don't ever get back pain.... I too am on the slightly heavy side...and i feel like i'm gettting bigger and bigger, but still haven't put on any weight.... my pregancies are weird in that i do not gain much if any weight during the pregnancy... last pregnancy i was 5 lbs less at the birth then before... but like you i did gain 19+ lbs during the whole IVF process... then i even had OHSS, so gained more weight.... so i think that it evened out it the end... I feel huge, but then other people tell me that i do not look big at all... so i think to myself "wow i did i really look this big before i was preggers??" it's weird... i feel like wearing a shirt that says "i'm not just this fat, i'm actually pregnant"...

tasha- glad that you are doing well.... and dealing with this cold.. you are just about 1/2 way!! how cool.... i'm just waiting for tomorrow.. my appointment is at 11:00 our time... so i'll be posting later the afternoon.. I think that we decided what we were going to do... i wrote the whole thing in nance's personal... My DH is still going nuts.... he wants a concrete answer, but this will have to do.. I can not tell you the last time that i bought girl stuff for family.... the last girl in our family is now 17 years old, and a lot of my friends have boys also.... my girlfriend just had a girl, but that is first one in a while... i would be happy with either... it would be nice to have a girl and all the girl stuff, but a boy would be great with my two boys and we already have all the boy stuff.... so we are completely happy with either....

sorry guys that i'v just gone on and on and on.... i think that i'm killing time till tomorrow.... nerves are crazy and excitement it building and building...

take care all...
