OMG -   i've been trying to get on this forum all day with no success! I'm not logging off it now incase I can't get back on!

Becky - I know what you mean about saying 'nice to see you', I keep thinking what can I put instead? no-one really wants to be here LOL. I don't have any answers for you about AF - other than she is a witch! Hope she shows her ugly head for you soon?

Carolyn - I did see the rugby scrum on the opening day of Primark! Had it calmed down any?

Gill - wow treatment in Spain! How long do you have to take off work to have treatment abroad? Is it alot cheaper?

Rachel - well done on the weight loss - you will be a yummy mummy in no time.

Some ladies have thanked me for starting the thread, but it wasn't my bright idea - it was Becky's - so thanks Bec!

Nimble - congrats on your NHS number coming up! Wishing you every bit of luck for this cycle!

Hugs to all

Charlie x

Hey ladies

Can I join too?? I’m a left over from the dec/jan, feb and march thread and although I’m on the may/june thread now I’m not 100% sure if we can start then. It may have to be june/july or possibly even November!!! I start a new job on Monday and its really tough to get time off (as they have very busy periods with holiday bans, etc) so I should know more in a couple of weeks (is this limbo enough?????)….anyway, apart from that, this thread has lots of my old-time buddies on here!!! Lol

Firstly – what great news I have my x-factor buddies here (welsh-bugger and Carolyn!!)…..and BB fans!! Lol

Angel – aaaww, hun!! Your time will come! I still say now that the wait for your first ivf is the hardest thing ever. Harder than the injections, harder than EC and ET and I think its even harder than the 2ww!! (I know, I know, I’m weird)…so please try and hang in there!! We’ll keep you company in the meantime!!

Charlie – the courtesy of capital one credit card!!

Melissa – hey, what a history you’ve had so hat off to you!!! The best of luck for your clomid challenge!!!

Jackie – we meet again!!

Beckie – “I must get back to my Barbie…”…..hahahahaha…I thought you meant playing barbies and then realised what you meant!! ( I call it that but I’ve never had to spell it out!) anyway, about AF…seriously, miracles DO happen you know!!! I think you should HPT!!! OMG, dont wanna get your hopes up but i know mine are!!! sterilisation is never 100% you kno!!!!

Gill – the best of luck for your tmt in spain!!! I’ll be very interested to see how you get on!

Rachel – hun…how you been????? Hows everything going??

xxxxxxxx

Shatala - how can you possibly be an old timer at 22!!!!!!!!!!!! Really glad that you have joined us. Please tell me that you are watching Joseph and/or Grease in the gap before we have another X Factor and BB. Nobody else seems to be watching it! Am I only the only saddo  The very best of luck for your new job tomorrow - hope that they are a good bunch and welcome you on board. Can I ask what you will be doing?? I am on May-June but argc run tests each month and then decide whether you can start so it could be anytime for me too over the next few months. May be we get to cycle together again!??? 8)

Charlie - I struggled to get on around lunchtime yesterday - it was just so slow!!! ARGGGHHHH  Primark was not quite a rugby scrum but it was mad busy in there by like 10.30am. We went early and for the first hour or so it was ok but even then we could not try anything on as the queues for the changing rooms were massive even at like 9.30am!!! Worth a visit - it is huge!

Becky - multiple posting! Had you had a glass of two at the bbq!!! ??? (lol) Sorry I am not sure that I can help with the AF questions. Mine get a bit delayed by tmt but always by exactly the same number of days. Your sounds a little strange. But sure that it will now be about a week away if your boobs are sore. Trust your instincts. I have found this whole process has made me understand my body better - even if most of the time I don't like the signs  Hope that she shows up for you before too long.

Angela - I am just the same on the weight loss and the wanting a plan. Even if it is just for more tests - at least if I know what is happening when they I feel that i can get on with the rest of my life and work around it. I am such a control freak that I have to have a plan! On the wight loss, sounds similar too. I do really well for a few days and then go off the rails. However, I figure that if I have days when I do try then it all stops my weight going any higher and tries to at least control it where it is. Has to be better than all bad days - doesn't it! May be we can nag each other

Rachel - managed to pick up some bargains. A couple of pairs of shoes, casual trousers, 2 sets of sleep wear, 3 tops plus a couple of other bits and pieces. 15 items for £50. More savings for the tmt fund!!!!?? I hate gardening too. Leave that all to dh. In return I do cleaning and ironing. At least you can do the ironing in front of the tv. We used to be lucky and have a cleaner who did the ironing but she had to go to help the tmt fund!!! Hope that it is a 'healthy' breakfast for you. How has this week gone for you - I am so hoping that you get another good drip in weight on Tuesday. I lost a couple of lbs since Easter but need to try harder. How was your shopping? Get anything nice now that you are a dress size smaller

Gill - it is all about helping each other. I would not have got through the last year plus without the boards. My dh feels that it is a godsend as stops me talking to him about it all the time

Melissa - I have put on about a stone since starting tmt. Not sure how much of it is the drugs and comfort eating for me. Probably a bit of both. I'd love to lose a bit of weight for the summer so am going to try harder over the next few weeks. I am 4-1 (ARGGHHH) at the end of May. dh and I may go away for a few days. So I thought that may be as that is like 5/6 weeks away I could target to lose 1/2 stone by then. He bought me a lovely summer skirt at Joseph a couple of years ago. He loves it. I cannot get into it now so thought that I would use that as motivation. May be we can all cheer each other on? Understand what you mean about the altered persepective. My dh had a very serious motorbike accident before we were married, when we had been seeing each other for a couple of years. He got taken out by a lorry. It was touch and go for 5 days. Intensive care. It missed his spine by milimetres and he had broken bones in places that I did not even know existed. It was a long hard recovery (6months) but now he is fine again. Makes us realise how lucky we are to have each other and to live for the moment

Weather in London is amazing again today. Need to get off site and go outside. Got up early and cleaned the house while dh played a round of golf. What a good wife I am  It does not happen often! We'll probably go out in the sun when he is back so need to go and get showered and tidy myself up now.

Af should be here tomorrow. Very little sign as yet. Hoping that she arrives soon so that I can get on with bloods which I need to have done on D1 and D2. I'll be on the chinese herbs from my acu guy. They taste disgusting. I hold my nose and just glug back!!!

Anyway, enjoy the rest of the weekend. Hope that you are all having fun.

Lots of Love
Carolyn

What a glorious day!

Some of you ladies are up seriously early on a Sunday morning! Rachel! 6.30am??? are you crazy????

Shantala - welcome to the gang! :D you definitely have my approval / acceptance - hee hee

Carolyn - I watched Joseph in your Honour on Saturday! I'm not sure DH was too impressed! All I can say is that it must sound different in the studio to how it sounds at home, because I liked the ones they slated and didn't like the ones they praised. I didn't like Lewis or that jondeep? I liked Craig and I thought the older guy with the curly hair was good, but a little up his own a**e!
I also watched the Grease extra show on ITV2 with the Sandy auditions - I missed the main show - sorry - I will do better next week!
Your DH's accident sounds horrific - It does put things into perspective doesn't it!

I think we should call the thread the weight loss group as most of us seem to be on a diet. Maybe we should have weekly weigh ins?!

Gill - thanks for the pm I understand now and good luck with it all - can you make a holiday out of it too?

Becky - how you doing lady? any sign of AF yet?

TTFN Hugs to all

Hi everyone :D

Well, the weather here was very disappointing today, I ran around this morning like a blue arse fly cleaning thinking I could catch the sun this afternoon 8) but it clouded over and that was that!

Carolyn- I love Joseph, Grease and all those types of programmes but I missed Grease this week :( , so you are definitely not the only saddo!

Rachel- Hope you had a great day at the beach, Gwynedd is not that sunny after all!

Becky- Sorry I cant help either with af, seems to be the only thing that's normal with me at the moment, and I think that ive got it all out of my system now so no more rants(for a while anyway!!!) :D

Charlie- We hope we'll be able to make a holiday of it, because it will be the only one we get this year with tmt costing so much. Oh well, Ive fancied going for a romantic weekend somewhere, I suppose Barcelona will have to do!!! :D

Jen- Hi, We've decided to go to Barcelona for tmt, just trying to sort stuff out at the moment, which clinic were you thinking of? Hope all goes well for you. :D
