Hey Riogirl~

My clinic no longer uses the PIO. There was a big IVF convention and they all discovered the same results with Endometrin. It's a suppository in the shape of a pill (it's not a gel) and it's used 2-3 times per day. I do it 3x a day.

Maybe you can ask your RE about it, it's a TON easier! Those shots are NOT fun!!!!

Thanks for the big welcome girls!! I transferred two and was praying they both stuck!! I am waiting for dh to get home so I can give him the news ( Ididn't want to just call him at work). He thinks I am testing tomorrow. SO I bought a dad to be shirt and wrapped. Laying under the shirt is a positive pee stick!! :)

I am just plain exhausted. Peeing every 30 minutes, skin is dry - those are my symptoms. I actually have lost 3lbs since I started this IVF cycle! but I am bloated so I thought I gained??

Rio: You can also give yourself shots in the thigh. Ask the nurse o show you where.

Hoekey: Just two for me. My Re kinda was pushing three at the last moment - but i have a bad back and wanted to be on the safe side!

Acapulco:Glad your 2nd beta was strong!!

Hello Kellym and Geckgirl, MBRE!

Happy vday girls!! Can you believe we are acyually pg??? I am so shocked I have waited for this for so long and bam! I am preggers. I want to tell everyone, but I will have to talk with dh first. He wants ppl to see it before we tell them  We'll see!! For now, at least I can tell you girls! :) :)

Good morning girls. I hope that you all are doing well today.

Waitingformia how did DH react. I bet he was super excited. What a cute way to tell him. How did you keep it in that your test was one day early? I would have accidentally blurted it out. My skin is dry too, but I always get that in the winter. I know what you mean about being bloated and not gaining weight. It's wierd isn't it? I was really bloated at first but seemed to have lost a pound or two. Now all the bloating is gone and I swear I have gained two pounds in the last four days. Which also is wierd because though I have been eating a little more often I have not been eating much. My big meal consisted of the Jimmy John's sub I was so hungry for. Maybe that's what put the weight on, it is a lot of white bread  !!

riogirl71 I haven't really had too much trouble with the PIOs until last night. A week or so ago we did the shots on the left side only for about three days because it just seemed to tolerate it better and it felt like the right needed a break. Anyway, last night when DH was giving me the shot it was like he had put a needle of fire in me. I think he might have scraped a nerve. I mean the instant he poked me my whole right rump was :!: ON FIRE :!: He immediately pulled it out and repoked but that didn't help. It was so inflamed it actually felt worse. I was in so much pain I started to cry (not like me at all). So afterwards, he rubbed it for a bit, but that didn't help. I iced it for about 20 minutes but that only seemed to make it worse. So I eventually took some tylenol and tried to go to bed. I got my shot at 7:30 and finally felt relief around midnight. Today I seem fine. But now I am already getting nervous about my shot tonight. And to make matters worse I was already feeling very nauseous after eating dinner. Like I had eaten something bad, so I was asking the whole family if they were feeling okay. None of them had complaints so it must have been just MS. So needless to say, except for having the love and affection of DH yesterday, my VD was a bust. Was in bed by 8:30 feeling quite miserable. No nausea this morning so far though.

Welcome Jomae, and CONGRATULATIONS!!

Hello Geckogirl, Aculpulco, Kellym, hope you girls had a really nice VD with your DHs. I'm off to work.

Good Morning,

My goodness those shots sound awful. I am glad that I've never had to experience those... I am on pills three time a day and the crinone cream in the evenings only and so far it is fine. my progesterone is at a very good level so perhaps those who are having trouble with the shots could ask for an alternate option.

Jomae - congrats! when is your beta?

Waitingformia - can't wait to hear how DH responded to your great surprise!! What a fun way to celebrate VD.

Hoekey - you are a week ahead of me so I wouldn't worry that you are feeling something that I am not. I think at week 6 you start to get more symptoms that I would at week 5.

I went in for my beta this morning so I guess I'll be waiting until early afternoon to hear what it is. I am really not nervous because I feel super nauseous today (and yesterday) and am a walking zombie so I definitely feel pregnant!

How is everyone feeling today? I am looking forward to the u/s next week!!! It'll be fun to hear how many Oct Babes there are going to be for each of us!

Hi Ladies,

I too decided to crossover to the positive side. I have read all the posts and don't have time to do personals but wanted to say hi and that everything is going well. I had some late onset OHSS (right around the time that the baby implanted) that had been causing me a lot of pain in my ovaries but it has subsided which makes things much easier. My u/s is on 2/28.

I almost forgot....I will not be doing the amnio unless the other test is inconclusive. I am going to trust God. My grandmother was 46 when she gave birth to my mother.

Hello all of you wonderful pregnant ladies!!!!!!!!!!

I'm an expectant October mom, too!

I am so excited, but at the same time, am now in a sort of don't tell limbo - some friends know what we've been going through up to now, but I am worried about telling them that we are pregnant as it is so early - so i've just sort of avoided calling them -which is sort of shitty, but i don't know what to talk about as it is all i can think about right now and i am crazy emotional to boot!

The PIO shots are starting to get to me- i am getting pretty sore - and i have do a crinone suppository every day, too as my progesterone level was not as high as they'd like to have seen

my U/S is on 27th Feb
I am sure we will do amneo or whatever- i don't even know about that stuff, but due to my age, we'll make sure everything is ok

much love and luck for the coming weeks and months to my bump buddies

BUMPIN' 08!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning Everyone!

Kelly- I can't wait to hear what your beta is today! I bet you can't wait for your u/s. I know what you mean about being a walking zombie. I feel like I don't quite wake up all day. I am in a fog and just muddling through the day. At night I don't really sleep all that well even though I go to bed by 8:30! And the weird, vivid dreams are trippy!

Hoekey - Your pio shots sound horrible! I haven't had that many problems with mine, however my hips do have bruises on them. I think since I am still 20 pounds overweight may have something to do with it. Perhaps more cushioning there. I will find out on Tuesday how long I have to do the progesterone. I would rather get rid of the suppositories - they are messy and annoying. I, too, am having random nausea. Today I woke up fine, but was hungry so I made egg beaters with mushrooms and chopped ham and a little parmesan cheese - one of my favorite low cal breakfasts. Although it tasted good, about five minutes after I ate it, I was sure it was going to come back up. It hasn't - yet, but I feel yucky. I tend to get this off and on.

Jomae - Welcome! You are right, you came from a very lucky thread. I can't believe how many BFPs there are! Should make for a very active October mommy board!

Waitingformia - Well? I am on pins and needles waiting to hear about your husband's reaction! Hope you are feeling well today.

Have a wonderful day!

Jomae - way to keep up the PMA - your one little fighter pulled through for an amazing BFP, I am just on cloud 9 for you!
Mia- the wait is killing me, how did DH react? You guys are just the cutest!
Loopie- welcome!!! I am doing PIO shots and Crinone also :( but my RE never checked my levels, not even once! My butt is getting hard and the shots more painful by the day. Lets get those t-shirts!!!
Cinci- welcome!! hope you feel better from your OHSS :(
Kelly- let us know how the beta went! ooooh I wish I could get another one! :D
Hoekey - I am so sorry about your shot last night, I had the same things happen to me - it is so painful and it lingers  those shots are a beast! Hope your bum feels better today! Try a heating pad instead of ice, it helps me!
Geckogirl/acapulco - hope you had a fun V-day!

I have been walking in a fog, tired, sleepy and forgetful, can't concentrate on anything at work. Still no MS which is ok. Reading a funny book called "girlfriends guide to pregnancy" and it gives you the lowdown on the things people "forget" to tell you. Thankfully the book is pretty open about everything. Ok I have TMI, my girly private parts feel bigger, like they have more blood and are way more sensitive. My nipples are bigger too and more sensitive.
TGIF girls! Can't wait to sleep this weekend! Take good care of your little beans!!!

Hello October Mommies!!

Some of you will recognize me from the Jan/Feb cycle buddies board, but I haven't been posting very much because I have been really sick :( First with the flu, then I got a severe sinus infection, and now they are trying to avoid an upper respiratory infection! Boo! So they have me on antibiotics now and hopefully after 10 days of feeling horrible I will be on the road to recovery! I guess being sick has really put a damper on the excitement of being preggers!

I wasn't sure what to do, if I should post here or not because I had an ultrasound today (5wks 6 days pregnant) and THERE ARE TWO SACKS!! I am having TWINS! Very excited! My original due date was October 12 or 13th, but now they are saying probably in September. Does that mean I have to join their list? I would miss all my gals from our AMAZING list of BFPs coming over here. What do ya'll think?

My next ultrasound is next Friday 2/22 and I won't be quite 7 weeks so I am hoping we still get to see 2 precious little heartbeats!

Congratulations to all of you! I look forward to reading more each day about your symptoms and u/s's!

Mia, how did DH react? Very cute way of sharing your news!
Rio, thanks for the updates and lists you are incredible!

I don't have too many symptoms yet, a little light headed/dizziness. Cramps everyday, but they say that is normal. Trying to just take it all 1 day at a time, I tend to get ahead of myself!

hopin4ababyWELCOME and CONGRATULATIONS!!! WoW!! The flu, sinus infection, and respritory problems. What a long haul for you. But it sounds as if your little babies are already so strong to withstand all that. I can't wait to hear the good news of two very healthy heartbeats on the 22nd.

riogirl71 thanks so much for the charts. I am carrying a little lentil bean I guess  !!

My bumm is feeling better today. A little achey but not bad really. I just can't believe my reaction last night. I have never really had a problem with the shots. I mean really, noone likes shots, but they were very tolerable. I can't believe I am so scared to do something I have been doing with a little smile on my face (getting to get shots for more than 10 days means I AM PREGNANT!). It's not like I am a sadist or anything it's just when I got the BFNs before it was really a bummer to put all that stuff away. So for me the shots mean that it is real. But now they really scare me. I think after I get one again tonight and it goes just fine, that maybe this feeling of terror will go away. At least I hope so.

I hope you girls had a good day today.
