Hello Everyone, Mind if I join??

I'm going thru my first IVF, I was on BCP from March 9th-24th. I start Menopur from March 28th-31st. Then I have my E2 b/w scheduled on April 1st. wohoo!!!

My ER will possibly be on April 8th or 9th. This is finally happening I'm so excited!!!! :D :D

I wish you all gals good luck with your cycles. Is anyone having ER close to my ER date??

Hi ladies! I've had a long couple of days and a late meeting tonight, so I'm going to bed soon. I've decided not to do the immune testing unless I hear otherwise from my mom's immunologist. I spoke with my nurse who advised me my RE said it is expensive, controversial, and not scientfically proven. I researched it more as well and found out one tx is aspirin and prednisone which my RE already does! The other is IVIG which is not proven to help with IVF success and therefore likely not covered by insurance. It can cost as much as an IVF cycle! Maybe I freaked out about nothing. Anyway, I just wanted to update you all.

I'm trying to relax more--I'm not so good at this. So, I'm having acupuncture this cycle and ordered a fertility yoga dvd (no time to try it yet :) ). I'll let you all know how it goes!

Hey Dr.Jen- It sounds like you really did your homework and that you have some more piece of mind now. I hope you enjoy your acupuncture and fertility yoga. Me and a couple of friends met a few times to do some fertility yoga and they're both pregnant now!! I've never been very good at yoga :(

Hey ladies. Hope you are all doing well?! OK, I have a question. I keep seeing accupuncture mentioned during IVF cycles. Does it really help? What exactly does it help anyway? I am seeing a chiropractor now that does accupuncture, so should I be getting accupuncture done? I would love to hear your opinions!

Hi girls & hi Newbies!

Sorry I have been MIA. SO much to get done before this cycle and I am finally calming down. Last day of work was last week and I have gotton most of the house in order. I have difficult pregnancies, none that have lsted yet, so I know I will be on bedrest most of it. SO therefore I am getting things prepared, hoping things work out.

I am working on a list for us as I type, I should have it done today!

Hi ladies! Mind if I join in?!! I was on the Feb/Mar thread, but my cycle was cancelled last go around. AF just arrived, so I have a new schedule...I cant wait to begin...waiting is torture!!!!

BCP: 3.28-4.6
Baseline: 4.10
Micro-dose Lupron: 4.11
Follistim: 4.11
ER: 4.21
ET: 4.24 or 4.26

And just realized if I am lucky enough to make it to a 5dt, my beta will be tested on my b-day...a BFP would be a great present!!!!!

OK Girls..let me know what needs changed or updated! I love keeping track of all us.

Lupron is OK. This is my second fresh round so it is much easier this time "knowing" what the hell is going on. It makes me moody and hot, so hubby was prepared for it! All for a great cause though!!!! U/S next week so hopefully we get the "ok" to keep going. I usually get delays from polups and cysts so my fingers are crossed that all is well in there!

How are yall doing?

Oh Wow Jessica!! I love the chart - it's really nice of you to keep track of everyone's schedule.

I started my AF today since I stopped taking my BCP - ugh, I hate it - hurts A LOT!! :x :x

but hey at least tomorrow I get to start taking my shots..Yippie!!! Gosh, I cannot believe that it's finally happening.

Hi gals!! Thanks so much Jessica for keeping the list, it gave me a boost today just looking at it. I'm so excited! I'll let you know as soon I have any new details on my schedule.

Sameera- Welcome- glad to have you!

JesJess- thanks for the info about lupron, where do you inject it? do you get hot flashes like clomid, or something different?

Courtney- I hope you get the best B-day present of your life!

Dr Jen- when do most women do the acupuncture? before/after ET or both?

Yellow- Good tip about getting to know the clinic staff, my RE's nurse is named Nicole, which is my name. I think its a good omen, she's quite nice.

JHarris- my cycle twin :), how are you? I'm doing well, hoping that AF must come that she'll be on time. I'm driving myself crazy obsessing about this process!

Amber- how's things my fellow first timer? I'm anxious too, we can keep each other sane :)

Hey ladies! Looks like we have a great group going here!

JesJes - 1st off, thanks so much for the chart. That should make it easier to keep up with everybody! I will start my BCP's around April 7, then meds end of April or beginning of May, and then ER/ET mid-May. At least I think! I will keep you posted when I get my schedule. Also, I am so jealous! I wish it was my last day at work! I've warned them at work what is coming up, and they seem willing to work with me if I need time off!

Courtney - Good luck w/the BDay present! By BDay would be your 3dt, so a lot of great things happen in April! :lol:

Sameera - Have you started your shots now? How are you doing w/them?

DrJen - Are you staying relaxed? When do you start your accupuncture treatments? I meet with mine on Monday to discuss what I should do.

Amber - How are you feeling with the Lupron shots? I'm a 1st timer, too and would love to know what I should be getting ready for!

SD - Hey back cycle twin! :) I just realized not only are our cycles close, but we are the same age, and our DH's are close, too! I really do hope AF comes on time. But strangely enough, I will be in Jamaica when it comes! We had panned a trip before all this came about. I leave next Friday. Any other time I would hate that AF shows up while I'm on vacation, now I hope it does!

Thanks for the list JesJes.

JHarris & SDtrying, looks like we'll have similar ER days. I get to be on BCP and Lupron longer. I had success once with the longer protocol so my clinic doesn't want to change it. If it works, I don't mind.

Jharris, Jamaica! How fabulous! That should help you relax. I can't remember the last time I was on vacation.

Courtney, what a fabulous birthday present that would be.

Sameera, let us know how the shots are going. Sorry AF is torturing you.

Jes, I'm sorry you feel yucky with the lupron. The moodiness started with the follistim for me. Good luck with your ultrasound. I'll keep my fingers crossed for no delays!

I don't have any experience with acupuncture, but I love yoga. I think it really helps me relax. I'm pretty much a yoga fanatic. If you have any questions on that front, I'd be happy to answer.

JesJes, Thanks a lot for creating a chart for all of us :)... my Er/ET date is around 4/30 so you may remove the ? mark infront of my date....

Infertility Cd and yoda sounds like a gr8 idea.. I am sure it must be helpful.. I should also look for the same :)

JesJes-Thanks for creating the chart!

I'm in between patients right now. I start Lupron injections tonight. I"m going to try my yoga DVD tonight as well.

jharris and SDtrying-I am doing acupuncture and then massage (I started acupuncture a few weeks ago)--alternating weeks simply for relaxation. My RE says there are no contraindications, but also says there is no scientific evidence acupuncture improves your success rates with IVF. Some acupuncturists will time the sessions with ER and ET and say it increases blood flow to the uterus and thereby increases your chances of implantation. I have heard of women doing this and some get pregnant and others don't. I can't time this since it is nearly a 5 hr round trip to my RE's office!
