My cervix had gottent to 1.5 centimeters. I have a pysical job where i do alot of walking and bending and sometimes lifting so i probably will be on bedrest now because i know if I go to work i am not going to be able to just sit. I am having some minor cramping in my butt though. I am just going to keep drinking this water though. I really hope this keep me and the babies going strong. Cindy you are doing fine so far. iam praying I can make to atleast 36 weeks with these babies in me .
36 wks would be a dream! It helps for me to set short term goals though. We know the twins will have a chance at 24 wks. Every week after that gets better. Even 24 wks seemed so far away when I first got my cerclage. Luckily the weeks seemed to fly by...even staying at home. Hopefully it continues to be that way.
My cervix is holding steady around 1 cm now so with your length you should be in the 2's afterwards. It's GREAT that they were able catch your shortening cervix in time and this early. The earlier you get the cerclage in the better. You're going to be just fine They also have me on progesterone 200mg supps once at night by the way. Some ladies get it in the form of a weekly shot. It's suppose to help thicken/strengthen the cervix. Maybe they will prescribe one for you. I also hope your job is understanding. Mine was great and told me to take all the time I need which is good since I'll be out until they are born!
Get some rest and I hope your recovery goes smoothly

Anyone feel any kicking yet? I think it is too early for me, but I am so anxious. Especially b/c people are starting to ask me if I have felt anything yet, most likely b/c I look further along than I am. Anyway with all the inquiries- I can't stop thinking how awesome it will be to finally feel them inside:)
Hope everyone is doing well:)
faith77, I felt some flutters around 18-19 weeks. So light I wasn't sure if were the babies. Finally right at 20 weeks it wasn't a guess anymore, they were kicking! Still felt like flutters and bubbles though. Now at 23 weeks it's a regular party in my belly

london, is it ever!! My cervix was funneling before. Now it has completely thinned out and is down to the stitch. I still have about 1cm below the stitch but it's definitely the only thing keeping these little ones in! I have an appt next week where they'll do a fibronectin swab test which is suppose to predict whether you're going to go into labor within 2 weeks. If mine comes back positive I'll either be placed on strict bed rest at home or they will admit me to the hospital for a few weeks. I have no clue which we'll decide to do but I have until next week to figure it out. Of course if it comes back negative, I can remain on modified bed rest and continue to take it easy at home.
How are you feeling? I know you can't wait for your check up!

yeah I really cannot wait i just hope its holding still. I am so far behind. I have period like cramps here and there and sometimes feel alittle pressure but my Doc said that is normal
Are you scared I read where someone was completely open but went to 32 weeks
I had cramps after the cerclage, so yeah it's normal. I think I was fully recovered after about a week. I am cautiously optimistic. I'm really confident in my docs. So if anything happened I feel like we are in good hands. I've also read of women going into 30+ weeks in similar situations. I think you're in a good place though. You have quite a bit more cervical length than I had prior to my cerclage. So don't let my situation scare you!

Just checking in to tell you all that my cervix was alittle longer and the cerclage is working. Still have a lil boy and they do not really know what the other one is yet so we will see.
That's great news london! So glad the cerclage is working and your cervix is lengthening
I had my fFN test today and the results were NEGATIVE! We were shocked. They were expecting it to be pos since I'm already high risk. Well it appears the kiddies are snuggled in for a little while longer so I can breath a little and not have to go on strict bed rest or get admitted to the hospital. Tomorrow makes 24 wks for me so first milestone reached!
Ladies I have to tell you that there is a party going on in my belly several times a day! I can't wait for you all to get there...it's crazy! Some times it's so bad I tap my belly and say "hey, can you calm down in there??" I love feeling them though, especially feeling their kicks get stronger because you know they are growing and getting stronger.
How are your babies positioned? Mine are like a "T". The girl is stretched across the top and the boy is head down. They've been positioned this way since I can remember so I'm not sure if they're going to move or not. I wish they would because the boy faces my back a lot and kicks my back/butt or his head is bumping my bladder or cervix

Has anyone discussed the H1N1- Swine flu w/ their dr's? Mine say to be sure to wash hands often and the other basics. My DH and I are flying this week ans he is extra nervous about the airport/plane germs. I asked OB specifically if flying would increase my risk and was told no- youcan potentially be exposed to it anywhere in public.
Also- still haven't felt any movement- I am worried- but again ob says not unusual not to worry... my next appointment is Sept 16th, I will be releived when I get to see them on the u/s. I know that 3 weeks ago their heartbeats were strong and DH and I watched them forever on the u/s moving all around and holding up their little hands. So I am sure I am just being a bit paranoid.
Anyone measured their belly? DH and I were curious, so we decided to start keeping measurements, we took the 1st measurement Sunday night and using a tape measure we started @ my belly button and went around my waist (can I still call it that even though it is gone?) to meet again @ my belly button ...39 inches!! We were stunned! I knew I had grown a big belly but that is over 10 inches over my pre-pregnant measurement, and we have along way to go... oh well how can I complain when we are so blessed?
