Hi Michelle

I'm doing fine thanks. Needed a break before I could think about doing it again. We had our follow up at the clinic yesterday and confirmed that, like you, we can do a natural FET. This is our very last go, so I want to give it everything. My acupuncturist suggests a 6 week lead up of Chinese herbs, acupuncture, vitamins and clean living. So I either start now (step away from that wine bottle..) and go for mid Oct or I wait til Oct and go for mid-Nov. Given that we're going on holiday at the end of Sept, I think I might have one last free and easy, drink what I feel like, eat what I like period and then start in Oct. So should be mid Nov. You'll be coming up for 3 months pregnant then, I guess?!!

Fingers crossed for next week

Micelle,
when I did my first one mine was very faint also.
Your DH is right it's good to wait a few days in between it gives your body more time to produce the HCG hormone.
Hang in there you're almost there!!!!!!!!!!!

Michelle .. We all know just how easy it is to be tempted to test early, so don't beat yourself up. As Smita says, false +ves are rare .. let's cross everything and wait to see stronger lines on test day ...

Lots and lots of +ve thoughts ...

Hi girls,
Just a quickie before bed.
Thank you all for your positive replies.
I done another test this morning, still faint but didn't have to squint my eyes as much to see it.
Not doing another til Monday, hopefully it will be stronger.
Felt awful at work today, still getting the stabbing pains and cramping but the cramping today has been pretty constant all day and not as low down as normal AF cramps. By the time i finished work my back was killing me and my legs ached, probably from being on my feet from 9am-6pm.
Back to work tomorrow again but only for 5hrs then going away for the night. So i'll report back to you on Monday when i get home.

Hope all you other Septembies are coping well.
Take care all,
Lotsa love

Michelle

Hi girls

I am currently going through my first IVF and will hopefully have EC on 12th of Sept, does this mean I can join this topic as my 2ww will be in september?

I have been keeping an eye on all the posts and am sending over as much baby dust as I can spare to all of you and praying that you will have good news..

I am injecting myself at the moment which I have to say I found very easy and it does not hurt at all. I am not feeling any side effects from those of the buserelin. It all seems to be going too smoothly.

I am a little worried as my last scan before the injections showed i still had a 4mm lining on the womb but had stopped bleeding. Is this normal? I don't want to bleed during ET as they say that this is not good. Has anyone else had this problem?

Any advice greatly received..

Good luck everyone

Hi All

It sounds like good news Michelle! Fingers crossed and congrats to you and DH. Make sure you get some rest.

Ange- Hope your bruised bum isn't being to much of a pain in the A***. How you doing otherwise.

Tibbie- Have you sucumbed to temptation. Hang in there.

Welcome to wonder2 and pootle. Pootle when i had my baseline scan there was still about 1mm left i was told that i would either bleed a little more or that it would just absorb. Not sure about 4mm. Why don't you give your clinic a ring tomorrow for reassurence. I can't imagine why they would have let you start injections if it was a problem. When's your next scan? Have a look on September buddies thread as well as us. There will be ladies at your stage of cycle and they might be able to give you advice as well. Good luck to you both. :)

Well i'm still spotting it's not loads but enough, it's also fresher blood so i am trying to stay positive but preparing myself. Until AF properly shows up then theres hope. Because of endo AF is usually very heavy so this spotting is nothing and i'm not getting as many AF cramps. Fed up of resting.

Take it easy ladies and thanks to the rest of you for popping over and giving us your support.

Bye for now

Hello all

Clair - keeping everything crossed for you. I can sympathise with the restlessness. I was a bit like that last weekend. I was bored with the television and just wanted to get up and do anything, but I couldn't.
I hope the next couple of days till your test fly past for you.

Pootle - at my baseline scan my lining was 5.9mm and they were concerned that although AF had not quite finished that I might need to delay the next phase of the treatment. They took an armful of blood (!) and later that day phoned me and told me to start with the stim injections. They were happy enough with the hormone levels that I could continue with the next stage. I have not had any spotting since.

Michelle - take care of yourself - you're scheduled to test with me on Wednesday, so you are still very early (but it sounds like it could be good news for you!).

I am trying not to test early (I am on day 11 since ET) as I dont want to get a false result. Its hard thou :? The clinic gave me a test to do and I also bought a test which is sittng in the bathroom cabinet and so far I have not given in to temptation.....

My bruised behind is not hurting anymore, just getting more and more colourful as days go by

Having the odd AF type stomach ache. I have very dry skin and am very spotty at the moment which is unusual for me even at AF time. But I am still not reading anything into any signs or symptoms. Other than being tired most of the time I feel ok

Have a nice relaxing day, everyone. :)
Best wishes.
Ange

Hi everyone,

As I had my ET yesterday at LWH I thought I should leave the september buddies and join yourselves.

My EC produced 18 eggs and 9 fertilised. 4 have been frozen and two perfect 4cell embryos have been implanted. The hospital are a little worried that I may contract OHSS due to the large number of eggs collected. I have to go back to hospital for a further scan on Thursday to check my ovaries are OK.

I cant believe I have got this far. I am sure you will all agree that it is a huge relief to get to ET. Although, I am dreading the next 2 weeks.

I am off work but think by the end of this week I will be totally bored. Anyone got any tips to pass the time.

I have had some stomach pains. Not sure if this is because of EC and ET or possible start of OHSS or if it is normal.

Keep positive everyone!

I am in my 2ww also. At my clinic they test 14days post ER, that would be saturday the 10th, but I go and test on the 9th at the dr's office. If it is a low positive I will retest the following monday.

Tilly - I had 30 follicles, ,with 17 retrieved, 12 mature, 10 fertilized, transferred back 2 perfect 8 cells and froze 6. The remaining two were watched to day 5 in which they had morulated but were not in blast by then so even though they may have went to blast, to be froze as a blast they needed to be expanded blast formation by day 5/6.

I have had some HOSS going on. I felt so bloated. At my synthetic HCG peak 7/8 days post hcg injection it hurt to walk because my ovaries were so big they were hitting everthing inside it seemed. That was thursday. Friday I was a tad better and then peed constantly from friday evening through the night, and on saturday had dropped 4lbs from friday. I feel a lot better today even though I am still on mostly bed rest through tues just to get my body back in order. If you do get pregnant then the hyperstimming may get worse before it gets better.

My dr says if you hyperstimm a couple days before your test it usually means your pregnant and the hcg from your body has your ovaries going wacky again.

Good luck to everyone in your two week wait. I am in the US, but reading posts from women in similar circumstances has helped me. Esp. since I have been stuck in bed. Too much time to think and wonder....Did they go to blast? Did they implant. Enough to drive you batty.

For those in the 2ww how many and what quality did you transfer back and for those with previous experience what was the result and what did you transfer that time?

Me, 2 8 cell grade 4, 1st IVF cycle. Froze 6 embyros, all 8 and 6 cell, a couple grade 4 and rest grade 3.

SEPTEMBER 2WW

Post by doraglasses »

Hi ... I am in 2ww too. Katrina, seems like you had an awesome response, happy for you!!!

In my first IVF cycle (had my 3 attempt a week ago), I was hyperstimulated too (7eggs, 5 fertilized, 3 transferred) - my Estrogen level was > 4000! My ovaries felt like rocks in me; had a positive pregnancy; 2 sacs found, of which one was a "blighted ovum" and unfortunately I miscarried the other at 10 weeks (that seemed like the end of the world for me). My Second attempt was not successful either. I had 4 embryos transferred in my 3rd attempt (8 cell, 5 cell and two 3 cells). Guess the grades of the embryo were not too great (believe grade 1 being the best?) Have kept my fingers crossed!!!! At times I wonder, what sins I'd done in the past that I'm being punished today.

Good luck to all.
