Sorry about your experience with the friends at dinner tonight.... It's tough to have to break the news, when it's not good news. Especially when they don't believe it! My mom had the "you're kidding" response when I told her I'd lost our little one. I was like, no, mom, really! I felt awful, she felt awful... it was a mess. Anyway... you're right to keep your chin up (or on this thread, your pecker high!) It's gonna work for you!! And sounds like they're really good friends who will pray for you and support you - in good or bad.

Hope: Anytime. Glad Dh approves! My 1st IVF was overseas in Moldova. And yeah their question blew me away for a few seconds! owell. Today I was bombarded with pregnant friends! At church there are like 5 ppl I know who I just found out are pregnant! It was kinda hitting me allll day.

Angie, try not to worry too much about the numbers doubling. As you know they don't have to exactly double and like you said it hadn't been a full 48 hours anyway. You'll be fine hun, and so will the little one.

Jend - there is a reason that you feel the way you do. You've been through so much. Don't feel embarrased.

As for me, everytime I try to keep up the PMA, I seem to come crashing down. Although we had put it off for a month, we simply had to go and see a friend who just got a baby. Like any new mother she was going on about the sleepless nights. Then went on to ask us when we're having one and that we shouldn't put it off any more and what a wonderful feeling it is. Then I got a text this morning from a friend I haven't talked to in ages to say she got a baby and whether I have a baby on the way. Someone who doesn't bother keeping in touch for a year doesn't ask how I am, but whether I am planning on making babies. Now I know that people don't mean to be insensitive and they don't know what we're going through. But surely you'd think that if someone is not pregnant, they don't want kids (and they will say it) or they are having a difficult time. Aren't we all mature responsible adults? Does anyone need reminding of the fact the you're getting old, have kids now? Sorry, it may be just me being totally irrational, but it took me a while to try and make myself feel positive after the last BFN, and just when I was proud about doing so well for a week......BAM!

Hope, I think you asked me if I POAS? I do it for my own purposes, but the doc just goes by what the day 12 scan looks like and guesses when I am going to ovulate. But he gives me a trigger shot either the night before or right before.
