Becky - so glad you sorted out your plans - your friend sounds like a star, however it seems you sort one lot out and get another set of stress!! I can't believe the Royal, I'm so mad at them for you - I know for them it is just a job but they really need to understand the emotion and anguish that we go through. I'm pleased that the other clinic will let you go again, that is fab news - lets hope that it is soon :D

Carolyn - super excited for you - you're finally on your way and no doubt counting down the days. So nice to have hubby home too I suspect, especially to keep you company on such a c*** bank holiday !!

Jen - you obviously got your paperwork all sorted - I'm so pleased and now its winging its way across the channel woo hoo.... not long to go :D

Where is everyone else - this thread is a wee quiet this weekend?? hope that you are all ok and for us UK girlies enjoying the extra day off - although the weather could have been a bit better.

We went camping - glorious hot day on friday when we drove down and set up camp and then during the night the heavens opened!! Saturday although wasn't sunny was atleast dry until night and we eventually gave up the fight yesterday and came home a day early like little drowned rats!!

Have to admit, it was hard as everyone else was drinking (don't get me wrong not complaining ) but did put a different light on it and sitting around in the dark and cold isn't the same without a few bevvies inside. The couple we go with don't have children and have choosen that decision so I think they are finding it hard too that we are changing and not up for major sessions anymore.

shall be back later

 Wow its quiet round here

We had a lovely night out on Saturday, its good to let your hair down and not think about ivf for a change.
Today i am having a spring clean and havent stopped but i love when everything is in order and sparkling--------bit of OCD i think

Nimble the Rat :( - Oh the camping sounds grim. Sorry but if i cant plug in my straightners and do my nails then it not for me  plus i like the sun too much 8). Know what you mean about the drinking thing. We only drink if we are going on a big night out and its hard if you are going through treatment. The only good thing about it, is watching everyone making an a**e of themselves and it reminds me not to drink so much next time

Carolyn - Not long to go. How you feeling? Will be sending you massive positive vibes from Scotland and a hug to go with them

Becky - Its so unfair we have to fork out so much money for ivf and wait so long. It seems that if we were drug addicts we would get the lot  Hope you managed to have a relaxing weekend and are feeling a bit more positive.

Karia - Sorry about your bfn, so unfair but we all understand and are here if you need a chat. Its great you have a plan, it keeps you going and gives you something to aim for, good on you girl.

Ok, will check back later and see if anyone else is about.

Back to the cleaning, at least its keeping me warm, i think the winter is coming back again

Hi Ladies

What a bummer about the weather for the bank holiday weekend in the UK!!  :? Guess it is quiet as a few people are away for the weekend.

Jen1d - glad that you had a good night out and where able to let your hair down. As you say, it is wonderful to forget about ivf even if just for a short period of time. Hope that you were not too wild!!! Sounds like you have had a good tidy up ahead of the Big B trip. Nesting hun! I have mixed feelings. I am in a better mood than last week as dh home, cold cleared and AF past. Nervous and excited all at the same time. Am trying to tell myself to chill and enjoy the next 3 weeks before I start. I know that it is going to be very intensive especially towards the end of stimmies and around EC & ET. Need to save all my nervous energy for then!

Nimble - sorry that the weekend was a bit of a wash out. Guess we all find that our friends alter as our lives change. You'll be getting to meet lots of mums-to-be shortly and you'll be one of them. OMG!!!! Must say that I am in the Jen camp. Need comfy bed and nail polish. My parents are in the caravan this weekend with middle sister and her dh and two children. We politely declined and now in light of the weather seems like a good call

Karia - so sorry to read about your BFN. It really is so unfair. As Jen and Becky have said, it is good to make a plan and try to look forward rather than looking back. When I read my ticker, I sometimes cannot even believe that I have had 3 -ves. Guess that we blank out the bits that we don't want to think about. May be it will be 4th time lucky for you and me both!?!

Becky - so sorry that you are having clinic hassles with both of them. Really hope that they will be able to get you back on track even if you have to stump up again for private tmt. Seen pics of BB house now. Looks quite funky. Gutted that I will miss most of the first 10 days due to my work trip. ARRRGGGHHHH. Did you see Grease on Saturday night? Thought it was quite obvious what would happen. Was quite sad that Jadine got the bullet on Apprentice. I took my hat off to her as a single mum and thought that she had calmed down since the start. Think that Trey should have gone but they like him as he is 'gobby so good TV'!

Lauralou - thank you for finding me and posting. Sweet of you especially as you have plenty to keep you busy right now.

Aunty - you must be so excited about moving to your new home very soon

Gill - how is your dh doing?

Marsha - hope that you are feeling a little better hun

Hope that everyone else is trying to make the most of the long weekend despite the rubbish weather. Beats being at work today I guess. Dh and I were meant to be at a b-b-q today for friends down near Fareham who are going off to Colorado for 9 months. I did not want to go because of questions, bumps and kids everywhere. You know how it is!!!! dh had talked me around. Got up and got ready only to spot a text message saying off due to weather!! They are having some drinks at their local this evening but dh does not want to go because of traffic on a bank holiday evening so now we are stuck in. We did pop out for a spot of lunch together which was nice for a Monday lunchtime. Have done the ironing. Have started packing as need to go very early on Saturday.

Feeling nervous rather than excited about tmt right now. It is so expensive at the new clinic. Plus it is going to be very intensive. I know that if this does not work then the only option will be to join Jen, JB and Gill in sunny Barcelona. Dh will not consider this option as yet so I have more work to do!!!

Plus having a mini crisis as it is my birthday on Wednesday. I am 4-1. Oh dear. Updated ticker already to avoid drama on the day

Take care lovelies.

Hi Becky

Glad that your mood has improved a little. I hate the time just before AF when you know she is coming but is taunting you. I shall do a jig to get her on her way. Glad that you have had some sunshine. That always helps.

Good on you for spurring your family into action. Sometimes I have to rant to get my dh to get off his bum and help!!!!

Really hope that this week will bring you good news from the clinic(s). We can be cycle buds again!!!

I fly out very early on Saturday morning to Dubia and am not back until a week on Thursday evening. Lecturing on Sunday - Wednesday. Then back for three days and then off to Frankfurt to lecture there - at least that is just a long day rather than staying away from dh. Then all travel is done and I can focus on tmt. Planning to book some time off work when I have a better idea of when it will be really 'intensive' as have only taken days off so far this year so that I could save 'holiday' for this round of tmt.

Take care hun. Crossing my fingers that you are going to get some good news this week.
Love
Carolyn

:x Bit quiet round these parts.

Talking of parts, Becky, you made me laugh with your boob sign, cheered me up in this miserable rain.
Glad your feeling a bit better and are trying to focus on the next cycle.
Thanks for the cleaning job but i will pass on that one, i hate cleaning and cant wait until i get it over with. I love my house clean and organised but hate having to do it. Dont know how you manage with kids around, if/when i have any of my own they will have to live in the shed so the house stays immaculate

Carolyn - You ok, haven't heard from you. WORK???
Sounds like Dubai will be a bit hectic to but at least you will be somewhere nice and hot 8) You wont be around for me leaving on the 5th or are you taking that posh laptop and blackberry with you
HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOR TOMORROW BABE, WILL BE THINKING OF YOU.

Got an email today, all our paperwork has arrived in Big B. Also af feels like its on the way, which is good as i am a bit concerned it would appear during our visit. Hopefully it will be here in the next few days and all over by the 5th???

Hi to everyone else. Lets all do a little jig for the rain to Bu**er off

Still quiet around here. Even after the Bank Holiday wash out. Where are you all????

Jen - Have e-mailed you but since Sunday I just keep getting rejects on your e-mail account. Not sure if problem is my end or your end - does only seem to be happening with you. Same address as usual. Well weird???
I shall be taking my 'posh' laptop and Blackberry to Dubai so can keep tabs on your trip to Barcelona!!!

Hope that you are all doing ok.

Love to you all

Hi ladies, can i join you all as my next appointment is 9th August, for the results of my tests. i have cycled with a few of you previously and am at a bit of a loose end as i have not cycled since february and can't go again until all my results are back. also just got a letter from the local health trust that they are not re-instating funding this year fir IVf, so although i am top of the list i have to wait until next year now, well and truly gutted.
