Hi Ladies!

Thanks for all of your support and for pulling for me for tomorrow. FET is scheduled for 10AM tomorrow CST. Then I'm home watch movies in bed the rest of the day. I'm nervous. I just want this so badly (as we all do). But you ladies understand, and I truly appreciate having this board to sound off to. Please pray my little snow baby survives the thaw. It's making me so nervous. I sure hope I sleep tonight. I've already opened a bottle of wine. I'm only having a glass. I'm not PUPO yet...lol.

Hope644 -- I did POAS last cycle, and got 2 negatives at 5 dpt and 8 dpt. My beta was 11 dpt, so I still had some hope in me. I have two tests at home, but I don't know if I'll test prior to my beta. I sorta feel like I jinxed it. My beta is 9 dpt this time. I'll keep you all posted if I do POAS.

baby hopes, beth84, claud662, Arabsrcool, & gi -- thank you, thank you, thank you all for the PMA and wishing my frostie a good thaw. I appreciate your mentions and keeping me in your thoughts.

turtle0619 -- Oh, from your mouth to Gods ears! I sure hope I'm the first BFP on this board. I'd love to start us out on a positive note. I know how much a BFP gives encouragement to others.

claud662 -- I loooved Avatar as well. I saw it in 3D and it was so visually amazing. I also really can't wait to see Alice In Wonderland. Depp is just such an incredible actor. I pretty much love him in everything. Good luck on Fri!!

katie99 -- I know! It did seem to come quick once the holidays were over. Of course, it was an excrutiating wait from my Nov 10th BFN. I do have to do bedrest tomorrow after the transfer. I rented 4 movies!

rlk1
-- Thanks for the luck! Unfortunately, I have to work TWO jobs on the 15th. I have this darn part-time gig and I agreed to work 4-midnight that day a long time ago. I work 7-3:30 at my day job. It will be a rough day either way. DH has to work 9am -9pm, so I don't really want to be home alone either. <sigh>

BRMommy2B -- Thanks for the prayers. I've also known many success stories with FET. I know your situation was very similar to mine (1 frostie after a BFN fresh cycle) and I'm so happy it worked for you. You are my inspiration! Did you do anything special to help along the BFP? What did you eat for dinner that night? I need all the help I can get!

moorebaby -- My beta is actually 9 days after transfer (1/15). It's a 6 day blast, maybe that's why it's not a full 2ww?

dodo928 -- Best of luck getting your donor tested and on her way. You have such a different (additional) set of worries/stresses. I really hope this works out for you.

Riley baby maybe -- How does the stimming go? Grow follies grow!!!

J&C -- I had the exact same thing! A large cyst (14mm) that wasn't producing hormone. Two weeks later, it was gone but there were two more!!! So the wait for b/w result was on again. Luckily those weren't producing hormone either. But they had me come back two extra times for stick and stir (lol) to be sure my progesterone wasn't rising because that would mean I had ovulated. Luckily, it didn't. My lining on last check was at 15 mm. FET tomorrow!

Best wishes everyone!

Just got back from RE consult appt and baseline u/s. I LOVE MY RE!!!!!! He turns me into a bawling mess  because he is soooo nice!. I was telling him about our insurance issue (as in lack of) and told him we only had money for one FET. He said and what happens if you have embies left and its BFN. I started bawling and told him I really didn't know. He, bless him, told me if it didn't work the first time, he would do a second cycle "as close to free as I can make it". He didn't want the only reason we didn't go ahead and use the rest of the embies to be strictly financial. so basically he is giving me a 2fer. That really takes alot of the pressure off of me and I feel so much better. My next appt is on 1/15 for u/s, bloodwork and lining check. Estimate now for transfer is January 20 or 21. He was totally ok with transferring 3, didn't bat an eye. Looked at the cell #'s of frozen embies, have three 8 cell, 7 cell (2 embies), 6 cell(2 embies),5 cell (2 embies) to a 4 cell. Holy cow, I am on my way!

I think it's wonderful to find a doctor who has a heart and not just a pocketbook! Good for you - I love hearing about someone getting a break when it comes to something so difficult. I wish you all the best!

I had some good news too, found out our extended health gives us $2K to cover hotel expenses for our out of town cycle, and also covers 80% of our drugs - no maxium! So wonderful - we just purchsed it for $138 per month!

misocial yeah for getting suppositories versus IM. I'm pretty brave with the little needles and have plenty of belly fat to poke.. but the bigger needles just freak me out totally. Good luck!

turtle thanks for the support - it's very appreciated and welcome! Happy that your AF is showing for you so you can get the journey on it's way. This might be one of the few times we are happy to see AF, eh?

Lou So so excited for you. Great plan to stay home and take it easy, how many days until you get your beta after the transfer? How long do they have the embryo 'thawed' before they do the transfer?

dodo Been following your donor story and I hope everything works out well for you. FX'd!

J&C Are you doing a FET?

Nothing much to report here.. I am just busily waiting for the 14th so I can leave for Vancouver and officially 'start' this thing. I am completely beyond believing that I could actually have a chance. too scared to hope I guess.. but it's hard with so many success stories to not get a "little" caught up in it!

Hello ladies 8) I need to be in bed but I wanted to check in first!

rlk-I sending the PMA vibes to you-if only our bodies would cooperate once in a while during this process! I've joined the "stop AF" dance for you.

Katie-what kind of crazy equipment are they going to need to chip through the frozen tundra to fix the pipes? yikes! I hope it is as cheap and painfree as possible for you.

dodo-There are so many hurdles for this process! It becomes complicated with all the money issues but I would side on doing the pre-tests just to have the security of knowing before you start. Best of luck in making the right choice for you.

arabsrcool- A 2fer? Hooray!! That is just like winning the lottery in the IVF world :)

lou-I have everything crossed and have sent up a few extra prayers for you on your transfer. I am excited for you-try to relax and enjoy the "rest" time (easier said than done!!)

turtle-I'm trying to motivate myself to workout but I really struggle when it is SO cold. You've given me the extra push to get off the couch! glad AF is finally showing herself :)

gi-Grey's is on tonight for you? We won't see it here until Thursday! I'm a huge fan still ;) running with no vomiting is definitely a great thing!! I'm sorry it is rough for you right now-oh, the stories we'll get to tell our children when they arrive!

jenice-doing the AF dance for you! What will they do for a blood clotting disease?

moorebaby-It would be helpful if insurance was simple and they were willing to pay for everything without all the hoops! Best of luck getting it all sorted out.

J&C-FET on the 28th? That's awesome, not to long from now!

AFM-We went to our counseling meeting and shared our entire life story and infertility story. Well, I talked for 2 hours and my DH nodded his head for 2 hours (he's not much of a talker to put it mildly!) I didn't cry until the therapist shared a picture book to share with our child about how he/she came into this world through egg donation. Then of course, I wept like a baby because I finally had the tiniest glimmer of hope!! I was also thrown for a loop because we talked about the fact that I will have to go through a step-parent adoption when the child is born to protect my rights. Crazy all the layers that come with this process! I only had one crazy lady moment-the therapist said, "Are we really talking about egg donation with you? But, you're so young!" Are you kidding, I ask myself this often, finally accepted that it can happen at any age, and get so tired of hearing others say it. I just have to get over that feeling.

Next step is to pick a donor. I am SO ready!

Keep the faith-PMA and baby dust!

J&C: glad to hear that the cyst has no impact on moving forward.

lou71: so excited to hear your FET will be tomorrow. GL to the transfer and praying for you and your snow babies.

DandMe: Your insurance sounds really good. Our insurance only cover fertility consultation and diagnosis but not meds. Fortunately, our RE is very responsible and gives us a break after I had a failed IVF at his office.

Good night to all ladies and sweet dream.

Thanks everyone for your support. I really appreciate it!

turtle0619,

Triplets  , no I sure hope not. But thanks to the encouragement!

rayofsunshine,

Yeah a 2fer is like winning the IVF lottery. I have been seeing this RE since 2004, been a repeat customer and he has made alot of money from me and my insurance. However, his 2fer offer was unexpected, very gracious, and generous!. He is really just the nicest guy and it has really taken the load off my shoulders. I could just kiss him....I did give him a great big hug and don't know how I will ever really thank him for his thoughtful gesture. Hopefully, I will only need one cycle.

Dandme,

Woohooo!!! for extended health plan. That is wonderful and it takes some of the financial worry away.

dodo928,

I have been blessed that I started my infertility journey with his RE and he has been nothing but great the whole time. Sounds like things are moving ahead with your donor. You do have more challenges and issues than just the "normal" IVF and I just have a great feeling that this is your time.

I said let it flow and now we are going to get snow...... Foiled again.....

Dodo This is 1 month out from my last period, to the day. I ususally spot for 1 day then start so ....come on already!!!!

Lou71 GOOD LUCK TODAY !!! Now keep them knees closed and your frosties warm. Stay in bed and dream happy baby dreams.

J&C YEA 1/28/2010 We are in for another round of snow my friend hope your shopping is done and you can stay in. I really did do the AF dance and not the snow dance, I promise.

Me---- Has to BCP ever messed up your normal period? I mean usually I spot for 1 day the start, been a day and a half now and all I see are spots, they are consistant though. Also started antibx last night for 7 days. Provided I start AF before Stick and stir on Friday, we are on track for follistim and menopur on Sat stopping the bruise me everytime Lupron om Friday. Yea. Someone asked what the Menopur was for...I believe it does the same as the Follistim just works a different way. Kind of like Tylenol and Asprin for a headache. This is my first go round so I am still learning.

Warm thoughts and best wishes to all.

Hi all!

I just got back from my SnS that I begged for (since AF is STILL here---UGH) and the RE was SOOOOOO rude to me. It's not the RE that I usually see, and now I'll be sure to avoid this guy at all costs. He came into the room, did the U/S, and said that we'll wait to see what the b/w shows and that some women spot and I shouldn't worry. I told him that I wasn't spotting, that I had a really heavy flow still, and he said, "Like I said, we'll wait for the b/w". Now....I could be hormonal, but doesn't that seem rude? Who says to a patient, "Like I said...."?!?

moorebaby: Girl, you can come down here any time you want! Joking aside, it would be so nice to actually MEET everyone! Hmmmm....maybe we should have a JAN/FEB-cycle-buddies convention somewhere. So you teach at a middle school? Is that all subjects or do you specialize?

J&C: Glad to hear that you got the green light to start your FET cycle! So exciting!

lou71: I think you're having your FET as I'm writing this post! Stick embie, stick!!!! Wow, TWO jobs on the 15th?!? You're a better woman than me!

DandMe: Your insurance covers two thousand for hotel expenses and covers 80% of your drugs?!? Nice, nice! That has to be such a relief! Where is everyone getting these great insurance coverage policies? My DH and I have to pay for everything out of pocket. Sigh. Oh, and you ABSOLUTELY have a chance. You are no less deserving than the rest of us---PMA, PMA, PMA!

rayofsunshine, gi, dodo928, beth84: Thanks for doing the "STOP-AF" dance for me! Tee hee!

Arabsrcool: So glad to hear your news! YAY for starting your FET cycle! Sounds like our FETs will be really close (if mine's not canceled)!

good morning ladies! :D

so shes here...the evil AF came over night, and i am all set for my baseline stick-n-stir tomorrow morning! everyone cross their fingers for me that everything goes well and i can start my stims! here come the nerves. i'm glad i'll be going to acupuncture tomorrow so i can hopefully stay calm this time around! i want to go to the gym, but these cramps are just killer this morning! yuck! i know they say exercise helps, but i just cant leave the couch this morning!

lou i'm sure you are already on your way to being PUPO, but i wanted to wish you tons and tons of luck today, and heaps of thawing and sticky dust!!! i cant wait to hear your update later! ((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))) :D :D :D

rayofsunshine haha now its me thats stuck on this couch...the cold isnt helping much either! i'm glad i gave you a push though! i dont think i realized you were doing donor eggs too. good luck with finding a donor. thats crazy about the step-parent thing...i wouldnt even think to do that. how old are you? good luck with everything...you are one step closer to your dreams!

moorebaby were we together on the sept/oct thread? it seems so long ago i cant remember! the tea is really good. its fruity and soothing. its from a store in NYC called T salon. i think they have a store in L.A. too. they have a website www.tsalon.com. the name is just fertility..its one of their wellness teas. its a blend of blackberry leaves, chamomile, st. johns wort, hibiscus flowers and honeybush. its a little expensive, but i was on vacation so i splurged on it. plus living in NH i cant find stuff like this very easily. :D

rlk1 i hope everything goes well for you at your appointment today. please let us know what they said! PMA PMA PMA!!!

katie did they fix your septic yet? i have a feeling its pretty stressful over there! atleast DH is home to help out. thinking of you! :)

J&C last cycle on my first baseline i got a call from the nurse saying they needed me to drive an hour down to their main office in boston the next morning because something didnt look right on my ultrasound, and they had better machines down there. so i was freaking out, and drove down to get another ultrasound. i paced my house all day waiting for them to call me. well it turns out it was a cyst that on the first ultrasound looked like a follie at 17mm already so they didnt want to put me on stims until they figured out what it was. there was a name of the kind of cyst it was, but i cant remember. my RE said i've probably had it my whole life, and it wasnt a problem at all. so if i had it my whole life how was it that they only just saw it this last cycle, and not the other million ultrasounds ive had before that? i have no idea. i'm so glad they gave you the go ahead for your next step!! i think they like to freak us out sometimes!!

dandme wooohoo on your insurance news! its so nice when some of the stress is released during all of this. how far away is vancouver? how long do you need to stay there? ive always wanted to go there...it sounds like such a cool city. i hope that you can enjoy it inbetween all the ivf craziness. there are so many amazing success stories on these boards arent there? it will happen for us too!! PMA girl!! :D

Hi girls -

Hooray we have working water again!!! So 3 days total of the plumber arguing with the septic guy and me running back and forth trying to soothe things between the guys so they would GET TO FIXING THIS! It seems that the main pipe that drains all water collapsed. So that required 2 companys and an excavator to dig through 50 feet of frozen ground. Yes, it was as fun as it sounds - GRRRRR! But at this point, I'm so happy to have water again that I dont even care what the lawn looks like anymore! Isnt it funny that the 3-4k we just saved from meds went to thses guys instead - ugh! Oh, well we have water again :D

Lou -Hope it went great today :D rest up and enjoy your movies!

Dodo -Eeek! Thats a lot of decisions you have to make - once its all done then you'll get a break to relax for a bit!

Rlk1 -Yes, that was a rude thing to say! boy, that RE must be everyone's favorite  Crossed for your lining! Sending you loads of PMA!

Claudia -No double AF for me - thank God! I'm on estrace x3 day and will stay on that til til the beta. I think the problem is just getting me a little suppressed - I seem to over suppress or under suppress easily. :?
Boy you are close now! Are you getting excited yet?

Misocial -Yes, its hard to concentrate on anything besides ivf - wait that justs worse!. Shame bosses just dont get it. At baseline they are looking for your E2 to be less than 50, your AFC (antral follicle count) your LH (leutinizing hormone) and P4 (progesterone) check for cysts and fliud in the uterus, and how your lining looks - Whew! Never feel funny to ask questions during exams - sometimes they dont explain what they;re doing because they think you wouldnt understand. Ask away, especially about your E2 levels during stims because its a good indicator as to how your cycle is going - hope that helps!

Franny -Yay for AF!! Now do you start stims tomorrow?

Gi- yiippee no nausea - ack you poor thing!

Moore -crossed for AF Sun! its a good feeling to know that you'll be starting so soon!

J&C -So glad you wont be delayed!

Sara - Sorry for all of the lawyers involved. Step parent adoption? WTH? You'll be this child's mother - I dont get it. I believe that eggs are only a part of the recipe. That therapist should have knwn better than to put it like that -ugh! When does the donor search officially begin? I've got everything crossed for you!

Beth -Yiippeee are you getting excited now?

I'm sorry if I forgot anyone - you are all in my thoughts & prayers - xoxo

:P YAY!!!!! Lou is PUPO!!!!! Where are you, my friend? You have been on my mind since last night. I said some special prayers for your FET today. Looking forward to the report.

RLK - Now, remember that I am also hormonal, but that is ridiculously rude for him to say that to you like that. I'm proud of you for biting your tongue...must've been difficult! Let us know when you get your BW back! We'll be waiting on pins and needles. :?

Moorebaby - When is your next appt? I just noticed that we are the same age, and so are our DHs and they have the same IF issue! WOW...that's neat!!

Claud - I can't believe your number was around 3000...that makes me feel much better! Are you getting excited? Friday is almost here!! GL and let us know how it goes!

Katie - Your encouragement & calming words mean alot! Thanks for taking care of our updates & keeping us sane with your infinite wisdom on IVF. How is it going at your house?

AFM - Just waiting for my S-N-S tomorrow morning. My stomach is finally starting to get bruised a little bit, nothing I can't handle. Also, I have the most disgusting night sweats. Other than that, I just feel tired...can that be from the meds? Anyone else experienced this?

For those I missed, I apologize! You are all in my thoughts...

Hi Ladies!!!

Lou-Can't wait to hear how your little frostie did!!! I hope that you are relaxing and watching some good movie flicks!!! only 9 days???? That will fly by

Katie-Glad to hear that you have running water although the frustration was probably not fun!!! That is great that you are now on estrace and I can't wait to hear how the process of IVM goes for you!!

rlk1-I hear you about getting frustrated!! I sometimes think that my nurse who calls me all the time after b/w and u/s isn't the nicest and seems impatient with me when I ask tons of questions! She was also the one to break my chemical this past cycle and I just wish she was sometimes more accomodating and understanding and I have to also bite my tongue so I don't freak out on her!! GL with your b/w results...

Riley Baby Maybe-good luck with your next apt and hopefully adjusting your meds has slowed down your e2 levels! yeah-my levels were very high but I also had moderate OHSS after my retrieval so that was NOT fun!!

Franny-the saline ultrasound is to make sure my uterus is good and there are no cycsts/fibroids....I had it the last time as well but since I had a chemical they want to make sure everything looks good before the go-ahead! I can't believe it's only 2 more days to get the ball rolling!! YAH for AF showing up over night!!!

I will do more personals later. Today is hard day for me since it's my DH's 31st birthday and I know he always wanted kids before he is 30 and it's been such a long journey for us...I always thought I would have a baby or be pregnant by today and it's so disapointing that I'm not and on top of everything else my brother and SIL are finding out the gender of their baby this weekend and it's so hard to be happy for them when I'm still dealing with my chemical and all this IVF CRAZINESS
