Happy Friday Ladies! Sounds like we are all starting to feel a little better. Hope it continues. I have been good, the worst of it comes in the evening but it's not too bad.

Dakota - I sure hope they find out that bleeding if from the pollup. Though it is still not fun, it is better than being terrified every time you go to the bathroom.

Tara - I know what you mean about needing to check, i guess we all have that feeling. I don't have another U/S til the end of the month and it is killing me. I just want to see those guys.

ftg - Your testing came back great! What a relief. My SIL, who is 35, had 1/95 with her DD and 1/82 with her DS. They are both fine but it was a real scare. The boy does have only one line on his hand which i guess is a downs marker but absolutely nothing else is wrong. I get my blood work done the 18th. Still haven't decided what to do. Guess I will cross that bridge when/if I have to.

Jude - Did you try the Unisom? I am getting really yucky in the evenings and was thinking that might be a good aid. Let me know if it worked for you.

Have a good day!

Hi everyone - Sorry my computer would not let me post.... Strange. Well Happy Friday. Boy am I ready for the weekend. I hate to comlain it seems that is all I do on here but I have to share my story. My boss is a big fat piece of poo. He is making me go on intermin leave. He is saying I am taking to many hours for Dr. appts. So he is requesting I sign up for leave now which will deduct from my 4 month leave. Not only that he already hired someone to replace me. CAN YOU BELIVE THIS GUY.!!!! I have talked to personel and there is nothing I can do. He is just a mean mean man. Needless to say after the twins are born I will be finding a new job. I am not worried about that part though and maybe I can stall and stay home for longer. But all of this has been very stressful and I have been crying every morning as I do not want to go to work. But I need the $$ and I make good $$ so DH's says work and take the money and whens its over walk away. I only have a few more months.

Genn- Thats HORRIBLE. What an ass your boss is!!! Boy, I's like to have a few words with him!! Something just sounds illegal about that. I dont understand them being able to force you into your leave already. In one of my maternity books it talks about what is legal and illegal and there is a number you can call if you feel you are being treated unfairly. I dont know the name of the place but its something that protects pregnant and nursing mothers. If it is not listed in any of your books, I will post the info tonight when I get home. At least you can look into it.
Sorry you have to deal with this :x Not something you should have to worry about while your growing two babies.

Hey Ladies--

Happy Friday--

So today my dog Layla is having surgery to remove a growth that we hope is not cancer. She is only two years old, and I don't know what I'll do if the biopsy comes back +. Plus, she sister stayed home by herself today for the first time alone without her and I came home to a crate full of throw-up....I gagged just looking at it. Poor thing, she is so upset and has no idea where her sister is, then just 3 mintues ago she did it again on the floor! Not a good day!

Anyway--Gennessa-- I cannot beleive your boss! I also think there is a legal reason you should be able to keep you job, plus you should be done with all the constant appts. I would raise hell!

Well I am going crazy since I haven't been to the doctor in over tow weeks and I still have 10 more days til my first OB appt. I better at least hear a HB that visit! My boobs are really hurting now, I think I will have to get new bras here soon. And my sciatica is horrible, sometimes it takes a while just to stand up straight. OKay well sorry about the post full of complaining, other than that, I am feeling great!

Hope everyone has a good weekend :D

Dakota-I think your idea sounds great to tell people. My DH tried to send the 12 wk u/s picutre from his phone to his family's phones when we were in our appt, however it was too big and didn't transfer :( Anyways, when we were done with the appt we just started calling everyone. We have no immediate family members in our state, but are spread across the country. I was able to tell more distant family members I recently met here last year, and it was great!

Gennessa-I have to think what your boss is doing is illegal. I don't believe there are any state or human resource laws that force someone to take leave, then force them to deduct what is their FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) right to take after a child is adopted or born. I would check futher into this, as it isn't fair and to me sounds like discrimination. Your choices are yours, and you are able to choose when to exercise your rights. What an ass!!

Neffi-Sorry to hear about your dog. I'm sure you could barely stomach the mess, much less bear the worry!

Rubylee-I hear you on the stats. I think again medical professionals can only do so much, after that its up to nature to guide what your baby will be like when born. There's so much art/science to this all, I know they like to think its 90% science, but I'm willing to bet sometimes its really less

Have a great weekend ladies!

Genn Here is that number that was in my book. 1-800-669-4000. Its the U.S. Employment Commission. The book says to call and tell them your situation and they can advise you if it is legal or not and what the next step is. They will actually step in and take action. You wouldnt have to hire a lawyer or anything.

Good Luck!

Neffi Sorry your pooches are not well. I really feel what you are going through. Its tough on the sibs when one is sick. Its amazing how they will react to it. They feed off each other. I hope all is well with the pooch testing and everything comes back good.

Off to eat my pizza. Oh, I got a lecture from DH about my eating habbits  He doesnt want a veggie stick poll coming out. Apperently I am suppose to have a hog line backer???

Gennessa - Ooohh that is infuriating!! Call that number Dakota gave you to find out if he can really do this. It doesn't make sense that he could. Part of the Family Leave Act is time bonding with your baby. If for some insane reason he could to this you may be able to claim disability for any extra months you need to be out of the 4. Pregnancy if covered under disability. Not sure if it would work but it is worth checking in to. Good luck and keep us posted!

Neffi - So sorry about you furry kids. How long do you have to wait for the biopsy results? Chances are it is one of those fatty tumors that are nothing. Hope her sister is doing better, sensitive little girl! What kind of pooches are they? They did an U/S on my first OB apt. maybe you will too. Hope so.

Dakota - Pizza sound pretty darn good. My body is being so sensitive with food. I pictured the second trimester being full of ribs, mashed potatoes, anything my heart desired. So far I have to stay bland.

Take care!

Morning ladies!

Gennessa - I'm sorry to hear about your SOB boss, that is really ridiculous. Good luck with whatever you decide to do and take the $$ while you can, suck em' dry :)

Neffi - I'm sad for your little pooches and hope the surgery went well. I just love animals and it is so heartbreaking when they don't feel well and can't tell you what's wrong. Good luck!

Dakota - Your idea sounds awesome, I can picture it in my head right now! My family all lives within just a few hours, so they all knew what we were going through. I'm also incredibly close with my Mom and sisters, so they've been following every step of the way. I haven't told many folks at work, other than my boss, but you can tell I'm either pregnant or getting nice and fat these days :)

You all are making me a tad bit hungry with the pizza talk and that doesn't usually sound good. Food still sounds pretty yucky, but that's not stopping me from feeding my face every 2 hours :) DH woke up last night to the sound of me crunching on nilla wafers in bed, was too funny. I still have all day sickness, but it comes and goes on different days, but night time is always bad. I'm just thankful that it's not every single day anymore. I've moved on to really bad heartburn and indigestion, so RE said Tums will be my best friend. We had another u/s on Thursday and our little peanut's arms/legs were just flailing away! He/she then fell asleep and looked so peaceful. HB was 179, so we were happy about that. RE also pointed out the brain forming, so cool, and the chin and jaw is also visible. It's so amazing how just a little over a week makes such a big difference. I think we'll go in around week 11 or 12 for our first down syndrome screening with the OB and our last u/s with RE is at 12 weeks. Anyway, all is well in our world right now. DH is having a very hard time with the lack of sex, but I just haven't felt good nor am I in the mood. Anyone else battling this right now?

Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far!

Genn - Your boss needs a good kick in the you know what. Sorry you are dealing with this.

Neffi - Sorry your furry children feel yucky. Hope everyone is ok. If I were you DH would be cleaning up the puke or else I would probably add to it. :?

angram-Congrats on your u/s results! Isn't it just amazing? I can't get sick of seeing it at all, and I can't wait for the next one!

I'm slowly not needing to eat every 2-3 hrs anymore. I used to be famished for each "feeding", however now I can go a couple more hours, and not feel like I need food or drink NOW!

I hear you on the sex. Weird thing, is that at 6-7 wks on wow was I a different gal when I was waking in the a.m...DH was pretty happy! We were never told not to, so its just been here and there as my fatigue typically quelled any hopes he had at night :( Since my body has changed now, I sometimes don't feel as great about it, however I'm sure we'll resume to our normal lives soon :)

Tara - Congrats on finishing the PIO shots!! Do you have to go onto suppies now, or is that it? Thats funny taking pics of all the needles - boy will they appreciate what their mama went through for them!

ftg - yes I meant paediatrics - I'm a PT and covered the NICU as well as special schools, childrens wards and clinics, so saw my fair share of kids! Unfortunately, apart from like the trauma and orthopedics, most of them had some serious problems. They were wonderful kids and their parents were just amazing, but not something you would ever wish for.

Dakota - I think the card idea is awesome! How exciting to fedex them away and wait for the phone calls! My family is in England, and I kept my mum n dad n sister pretty well up to date as we went, and same for DH family here, and then the grapevine took care of the rest!

Rubylee - I would definately try the B6 and/or the unisom. After taking it for a few days the m/s is def. less. I don't know which has helped, but I'm really not feeling half as sick as I was.

Gennessa - what a DICK your boss is (sorry!). I am sure that this is NOT legal too - try what dakota said, and I'm also sure that if he can make you take leave cos you 'can't do your job properly', then that would be grounds for disability and pay, not including the FMLA/four months leave you have for afterwards. Good luck, and take em for what you can girl.

Neffi - I'm sorry to hear your puppy is sick, I hope the surgery went well, and the biopsy comes back -ve.

Angram - your u/s sounded awesome!!! We are also struggling with a lack of sex here (or at least DH is) - I just haven't felt up to it, with nausea or fatigue, and then sometimes cramping. He is holding up well, but I know i'm going to be making it up to him once I feel better!

So - enjoy your sunday everyone, I have crummy washing and house cleaning to do, and my work schedule for the week to sort out. I hate doing that on a weekend....DH is working today, so just me and the cat!

Hello ladies! I know I've been gone for quite some time, but I have just not felt up to getting online the last couple of weeks. I am on the road most days for work, and when I get home, I collapse on the couch until something appears for dinner :) then I go straight to bed. I am exhausted! Luckily, still no morning sickness...I've had bad cramping sometimes when I eat...but not really nausea.

Neffi - So sorry to hear about your pooches! What kind of dogs are they? When will you get the biopsy results? Oh goodness, that must be so hard...fingers crossed that everything is AOK.

RubyLee - I'm so glad to hear you're finally feeling better! It sounded like you had it REALLY rough for quite a while...glad it's improving!

Tarabeltwo - Done with PIO??? That's awesome! Congrats! I still have two weeks to go. I had to do my own shots last week, and the first one did NOT go well. Blood squirting out, and a welt/knot the size of a baseball that made it difficult to walk! The next two nights (can you believe I had the nerve to try again) were MUCH better and pretty non-eventful. Glad my DH is back now...and can't wait to take that last shot!

Dakota, Angram and Jude - Long time, no talk, girls! I feel like I have been so out of touch with the three of you! Dakota - I can't believe you're still dealing with that bleeding...hoping they find the resolution soon! Angram - aren't the U/Ss just amazing? I had my second U/S on Friday, and it was awesome...that heartbeat is just amazing to hear...looked like a gummy bear (or a Teddy Graham, according to my doc) and the arms were even moving! Can't stop looking at that photo! Jude, I'm with you on the housecleaning this weekend...obviously that's why I'm spending time on the computer! Avoidance is the best solution, I say! How have you been feeling?

Genessa - What the F...your boss seems totally out of line. Keep us posted on what you find out...hopefully you'll find some good resources to help protect you and your rights. That just sucks.

Anyway - ladies, I'm sorry I've been away...but I'm thinking about all of you regularly and am glad to hear things are going well for everyone! Hugs...

Yay Adsgirl!!

So glad to hear from you, I was getting worried there for a minute. Glad it's nothing more than exhaustion (haha) that's been doing you in.
I loved the U/S so much too, I can't wait for the next one, when we'll be able to tell which end is which!!
I managed some of my housecleaning in the end - how bout you! I am now back on line of course to avoid the rest of it - I'm with you!

I forgot to tell you girls that I snuck in another U/S on Friday - I still have the diarrhea, and suddenly got to panicking Friday that it would be a real problem, so I called the OB and they fitted me in that afternoon. I didn't expect another one, but it was a different OB, (they rotate us between the three in their practise so we get to know them all), and she said while you're here we may as well take a look! That was like music to my ears!!

No picture print out on that one, but got to see them both fuzzing away in there, and heartbeats too, so very happy!! They do look like little bears, aw.

So, the OB said there was nothing to worry about, and just to drink plenty of fluids and the standard, bananas, bland food thing....it seems to be calming down a wee bit today so good!
Okay, talk later :)

Jude - Glad to hear you had another u/s, they're awesome aren't they! I've had diarrhea every couple of days and every other day is darn near close to it, but I'm also just trying to keep up with my liquids and bananas :) It's better than being constipated, but my goodness hormones do some crazy things to our bodies. Now if those hormones would just kick my sexdrive into gear, we'd be in business :)

AdsGirl - Hiya, it was long time no talk. I'm happy to hear everything is going well and you're just exhausted. The u/s's are so amazing and it's so wonderful to see how much they change each time. We could actually tell it was a baby this last time and not just a blob :) The arms and legs were so distinct. DH kept telling the RE oh I love that shot, can you print that one too :) We had a roll of pics going, even the nurse made a comment.

ftg - I cannot wait to not be hungry every 2 hours, it's a wonder my butt isn't even larger. I'm laughing at the whole "feeding" comment, isn't that that truth.

Tarabeltwo - Congrats on the last PIO, what an accomplishment! That's such a great idea about laying out all the needles for a picture, I've already sealed up my sharps containers darnit..both of them were packed full!

Has everyone started taking monthly pics of their belly? I haven't started that process yet, but know I should probably start this week. I've heard of women measuring their bellies weekly with toilet paper and counting the squares, I may have to try that. I actually had to break down today and go buy a few new items of clothing. DH went with me, which is totally against the norm, and I sat in the dressing room as he brought me several things to try on. It was completely out of character for him, but he was so excited to help and had a good time, it was awesome! I'm hoping most of the items will fit for the rest of the summer and most of them were sun dresses, so they should. It's just so damn hot here that anything else is uncomfortable. Anyhoo, having what I hope is my last snack for the evening and then heading off to bed soon. My lack of nap today is catching up with me :)
