Hi everyone- I'm so sorry I haven't been able to keep up with any personals. Things are really hectic for me. We just entered escrow and I'm feeling a little overwhelmed dealing with being in my residency, studying for my boards, trying to buy a house, finishing my senior project so I can graduate from my residency, and not to mention IVF.

Overall, its been really good to be busy because IVF hasn't been on my mind as much as it was. But I do worry that the stress will decrease my chances at success. Well, if I can just get some frosties this month I've consider it a success even if I don't get a BFP.

I really hope everyone is well.

Donna- so sorry about your Beta, how frustrating!

Sameera- can't wait for you to give us some good news about your POAS in a few days!

JHarris- wow, that's a load of meds to get all at once!! I'm getting nervous for everything too!!

Hi Sameera-

4 more days until the POAS? How many days will that be since your ET? I'm confused as to if and when we should try doing that or not.

We're doing okay. I'm kind of pessimistic after reading what a crap shoot this really is from a scientific standpoint. I also am trying not to let her get too hopeful because I don't want her to be too disappointed if it doesn't happen. I am praying hard but I'm leaving it up to the Big Guy.

Oh, a couple things. She's definitely bloated and last night asked me to make her a hard-boiled egg for her salad. I've never seen her eat a hard-boiled egg in the six+ years I've known her. But who knows what that means.

I hope everyone's doing well this morning.

Hi Jim - Well, My ET was done on April 13, ER on April 10th - So if you count from ER it would be 14dpo and if you count from ET it has been 11dp.. I think you go by ER because that's when your eggs start fertilization!!

Isn't that an amazing thing :)

I didn't want to drive myself crazy with doing HPT that's the reason I decided not to do it till the night before beta that way I can be prepared.. and not ruin my whole days thinking and worrying and crying if it was negative.. it's saddest thing to be disappointed!

I am gonna stay/think positive and enjoy this wait and leave the rest to the almighty!! nothing I can do just wait and pray :)

Good luck if you guys decided to POAS sooner then your beta.. I think you can start POAS after 7dpo but i am not sure - may wanna ask Ghost..

SD- hows your house hunting going? Congrats on graduating from your residency!! that's quiet an accomplisment :)

Joe - good luck with your beta - you already know it's BFP but can't wait to hear it official :)

Sameera-

Thanks, BEST of luck! I'm just trying not to think about it. All I know is I have the best wife possible and that won't change regardless of the outcome of this. I know I keep saying this, but isn't it amazing how it really is all up to God?

Let me know how you do.

Jim :)

Hey, did you guy ever think about starting a picture thread to put faces to the names? I'd add a pic here but I'm not sure how to do it.

Good morning everybody!! I went in for my baseline US this morning, and she said everything looks great, so I get to start my Lupron shot tonight!! I am so excited! I am sure tonight will really finally feel like I'm doing something, literally! So is there anything I should be prepared for after starting Lupron? Side effects? Anything? I think I'm one of the last few that haven't started that part yet, so I figure most of you can tell me!

I will send personals in a little bit. I was late getting to work since I had my dr appt, so I need to get some work done, then I will be back!

hELLO EVERYONE!!!! I hope your week is going by pretty well. I did poas and it was negative. thank the lord for that! I can't be delayed another minute. for the ones out of the loop, I had gotten a positive opk at 9dpo. i started feeling crampy and bloated as i normally would when I ovulate. so i took the test. I know i shouldn't take it after a positive surge, but i didn't know what is up.

Anyway, I have my b/w and u/s on the 2nd of May so hopefully I'll be starting my meds then. so far the lupron shot has been very nice to me :-)

Jharris what is up north carolianian!!!!! :-)
well starting lupron everything is ok...well for me. then it seems as i start getting closer to the two weeks of taking lupron i start to experience headaches and irritability. the shot doesn't hurt much. I think the ones I had before were dull so it hurt. I think the ones I have this time is a little dull but not as much as before. good luck w/ the lupron.

OK, a little more caught up with work. For now!

wantamiracle: Hello fellow NCer!! Any suggestions on where it's easiest to take the shot? They said I can take it in the arm, thigh or tummy. Is one place better than the others? And isn't it funny how IVF makes everything backwards?! Can't wait for AF, can't wait to satrt taking shots, now you are glad a test is negative!! Glad everything is still on track for you. I will have my next BW/US May 3, so I'm right there with ya!

Jim: You sound like such a wonderful DH!! Adrianna is very lucky to have such a supportive man in her life! Glad to know mine isn't the only one like that around! I know what you mean about pictures with faces. I've always found it a little weird talking to people and I have no clue what they look like!

SD: Wow, another woman on the board with tons going on! We seem to have a very busy group here! Good luck with everything! I was able to talk to the nurse this morning, and found out what all the meds are for, so I am feeling less overwhelmed about them all now. I get to start taking the Lupron shot tonight, and go ahead and start working my way through all of them!

Joe!! How did the beta go? Everything sounds promising! Good luck, and best wishes!

To everyone else, hope you are all hanging in there! Talk to ya soon.

Jharris - Glad to know your baseline went well - Yay you get to start Lupron that's wonderful - hope you don't get any bad side effects.

Wantamiraclebaby - I'm so glad you took the HPT and got negative - one less thing to worry about.

Jim - I'm up for the picture thread - I'd like to put faces to the names :)

jharris---LOL you are a trip and you are right it is funny how IVF works sometime. That is great...I'm glad that we are in this together! we are running neck and neck (almost). there isn't once specific place that is better I guess...I always take it in my belly b/c I'm much more comfortable with that.

Sameera- I know I'm so happy it was negative! thx again

Hi yall, happy wednesday!
The RE called today...11 out of 17 eggs fertilized!!!
I am so thrilled with these numbers...hopefully the ones we dont use on Friday will make it to freeze!

Donna- so sorry to hear about your beta...I don't understand either how a stick would detect something and your beta would not. What are the rates for false positives on a stick? Who knows, maybe your embies are late bloomers!

more personals later...gotta get back to work!
