Once again, I'm so far behind. I can't take a couple days off from this board or I get lost!

katie - my ER should be sometime around the 20th, I think. I did my first day of stims last night - I haven't done an injection since my fresh cycle in July, and I managed to bruise myself the first night!

rlk - Hooray to my VA buddy - enjoy those PIO!

latrell22 - welcome! An FET is a frozen embryo transfer. There's a list of abbreviations in the General Forum that you should find helpful! People have lots of different reactions to the meds - I have not had any real problems or bloating with stimming.

jenice - I understand your need to vent. The same week that I had my chemical, friends announced their pregnancy, and I just went home from work and cried for the next day. Like dodo says, I keep remembering that if I do get pregnant, lots of people won't know all I've gone through, and it's possible that the people I know have gone through a lot too.

baby hopes - I get pretty cranky through the process too. Sometimes I feel sorry for my DH, but then I remember that he has the easy part of this process, so he can deal with some crankiness! That's great about your trigger!

gi - You and the other non-US ladies are making us all jealous. I think we're the only country in the industrialized world that doesn't have any mandated paid parental leave. We're only entitled to 12 weeks, unpaid, though some employers offer more of their own accord.

My best to everyone else! I can't believe we're only a few days from our first beta (my fingers are crossed for you lou!).

Hello ladies, hope everyone is having a great weekend. I started my follistim and menopur yesterday. I am not a happy camper. Something is giving me a terrible headache, and I keep breaking out in a sweat, only from the neck up of course. Then theres the pissy attitude, which may be due to the massive blood loss..... Yes folks, its come a full flood in Kansas but hopefully that will be over soon. Follistim is 150iu twice a day with 75 of menopur. That menopur hurts but I think it more an amount problem,

lou71 So very happy for you...... PMA all around. It's all about you, no stress, no housecleaning.

baby hopes Its the stims, I understand I am not myself and its only been 2 days...

Moorebaby RELAX and eat chinese food.

claud662 Congrats on getting a great RE and your schedule. Now you have something to read obsessivly. :D

beth84 have you started stims?

samgarkay What is your ER date? Thanks for the info on Follistim

katie99 thanks for the tracker chart....way cool

hms trust me, you are in the right place, these ladies are great!!

gi its the simple things in life that bring me relief yea HOT BATHS and CHINESE food.

msmac The lupron gave me a few headaches, but nothing like the stims, stock up on tylenol is you are sensitive like me.

dodo928 doing the share (actually give away) AF dance for you soon.

I am schduled for my next SnS on Wednesday. Does anyone else get sleepy after AM stims? The work week is goona suck, they don't allow napping!!!

Aaahhh - now I've got it figured out. Its a big football weekend, so while they are all watching the game - you all are typing up a storm! And here I thought it would be a quiet weekend. We have spent the day bathing 2 large dogs - and then pinning them down for a manicure - in other words chasing them through the house dripping suds everywhere! Are you jealous yet? Well, at least its good practice, right?

Latrell -Welcome! In the General forum theres a list of abbreviations (3rd from the top) You'll pick it up in no time. What country are you stationed in? And you thought only the Army loved acronyms. When you start your stim meds (bravelle, follistim, gonal-f) you do get bloated, heavy feeling, tired and moody. Theres no way around it, you're enlarging your ovaries from almond size to the size of a lg walnut. If your ball will be early in your cycle say days 1-5 of stims you should be able to handle a tight dress, after that you'll be living in sweats and yoga pants since its all thats comfortable til ER. Its only temporary and definitely worth it. What is your schedule? I'll add it to our list tomorrow - :D

Franny -Ugh! of course they call the wrong phone - it took months for my nurses to call my cell, now the RE still calls the home phone
I think you're on the right track - lets all try to not go crazy this cycle - yeah, I know - good luck with that! I'm waiting patiently to hear how your appt goes tomorrow. Hope they call early this time!

Jenice -I cant believe your Dad said that - not funny. Sounds a he's gonna get an ugly tie for Father's day - hee hee. Vent away, hon thats why we're here. Yay AF finally showed! Now when will you start stims?

Dodo -Don't listen to what other people have to say. Your dream of becoming a mom will happen! So sorry that your allergies are still acting up. Now, what comes next? Did your RE approve this girl? Are we doing the AF dance for her? Yes, please send some of that sunshine -its freezing!

Babyhopes -Hooray for trigger! Of, course we are moody on stims
How could you not be? between injections, bloating, all those u/s appts and lots of stress - men! Anyway -the EP lab sure sounds a lot more fun than med pass! Good luck with triggering tonight!

Claudia -Did you get your FET date yet? It feels so good to be getting going already, doesnt it? Wow - I love your RE! 100% Whoo Hoo!

Rlk1 -Happy for PIO? ok, but its your heiney!

beth -You'll be an old pro at injections by tomorrow!

Lou -How are you doing? How goes the wait?

hugs & prayers to all of us! - xoxo

Holy Moly Ladies! I seriously cannot keep up with you. I can only seem to get on once a day and by the time I read through everything I have to get off and can't respond. Crazy typers. Lets see what I can remember

Katie99~I understand about the dogs and bathing and suds. I have given up trying to clip their nails and just take them to a groomer when they get bad. Though baths are all on me. Too fun.

Jenic~I understand your frustration and worry. It sounds like we have similar stories. I finally got pg only to lose my sound at the begining of the 2nd trimester and then followed that up with an ectopic. I know when we will call it quits and I have decided I just have to accept it at that point. We made our decision simply becuase we don't feel like we can do this indefintely.

Baby Hopes~Yay for trigger! I haven't even started stims yet.

Lou~How are you? Any symptoms?

 I can't remember anymore

AFM: I got my calender this week. I started Antibiotics yesterday. I will go for my Baseline SnS on the 22nd, stop BCP on the 19th, start stims on the 23rd. You are all so far ahead of me. I am so anxious to get this ball rolling. Though I have been doing my acupuncture. So at least I am doing something. Right?

Doing stop AF dances, start AF dances and wait until Tuesday AF dances. Though I am so confused all this dancing might make things worse! :D

OH I wish I could keep up with you guys!!! Funny, my last cycle, i had all the time in the world to post and keep up. My DH works evenings, so i was all alone in the pm. No more! But I wouldn't trade it for the WORLD. ;) That's why we're though!! So, I hope you all won't hold it against me if I don't get to check in as often as I'd like. BUT, please know I'm thinking of you and keeping you all in my prayers!!

So, here's personal on the part I was able to take in!!

Claudia - Congrats on starting Lupron! I love your PMA! Keep it up!!

Lou - How's the 2ww going? Keep up the PMA!! Have you decided if you are going to POAS? YAY! You're pupo! Image

Latrell22 & cal4242- Image

and latrell - it doesn't happen to everyone, but i can't think of many who haven't had extra bloating during stims... might want to keep a seamstress handy... sorry, hon ;)

Franny - You had a 2 hr nap during acupuncture? Lucky girl! I miss my acupuncturist so much. I'm looking forward to going back during my tmt. Enjoy!!

Dodo - Thinking about you and the donor. Do you guys chat or get to know each other any more than just the basics you've already done? I'm sure it can be a fragile line. Just wondering.

Jenice - Venting is definitely needed sometimes. Let it out! ;) The girls are right. It is all worth it... but it doesn't make it any easier in the process!! congrats on AF... what's next? And I'm with ya on the "gain the lbs for baby now, join WW later!" I have been putting off dieting since my DS was born, thinking "why bother? cycling and baby will put it back on!" ugh... such a roller coaster, in SO many ways.

Babyhopes - Congrats on triggering!!! YAY TUESDAY!! Here's to some big juicy eggies!!! But remember, it only takes one perfect one! Image

Yes. Yes. Yes. The meds are making u pissy. I was SO pissy during my last few cycles it wasn't even funny. I called it PMS on crack. I told my DH, if you think I get cranky when I have 1 egg growing in there, how do you think I feel with 15 or 20!?! Hopefully your DH will understand.. or at least forget ;) Mine must have, he agreed to do it again ;)

bethany - so glad to see your PMA !!! Such an encouragement. You hang in there. Sounds like you know it, but the wait is so worth it. :)

Turtle - so sorry to hear you're spinning for a bit of a loop. Trying not to drive yourself crazy is almost impossible. I can't recall how many cycles you've done, but it is insane how different they can be. All 3 of mine were completely different. it is bizarre. hang in there!!!

rlk1 - congrats on the green light! FRIDAY will be here soo soon!!

beth - Image best wishes for your upcoming beta!

misocial - sorry to hear bout ur headache and other ickiness. :( hang in there!!

katie - chasing down dripping wet dogs? sounds like fun... :? :) good luck at S&S on Wed!!

BlessedMama - don't feel so bad, I'm WAY behind you... so you're not alone, bringing up the rear! Getting a schedule is a good thing tho! So jealous of the acupuncture... enjoy!! Sometimes I think we're a glutton for needle-punishment b/w injectibles and acupunture! ;)

AFM - AF came a couple of days early! but my nurse must have forgotten to call in Rx for BCPs, cos they weren't at the pharmacy today. :( and of course the pharm asks me, what kind of med is it? I'm thinking... why are you asking me this in public?! My DSS was with me and between that and overhearing my DH talking to a finance guy on the phone, geez. we're going to confuse that kid. He knows we want to try again, and that we did IVF, but I'm not sure I want him to know until at least we're IN it... but pref not until we're PG! so slightly annoying.... anyway, I guess I will start BCPs tomorrow, if my nurse gets on the ball. wow. can't believe it's here already. i know it seems like hurry up an wait, but it is coming way faster than it ever has for me before. I'm excited, but somewhat nervous... i don't want to take anything away from my DS... I keep focusing on the fact that I think he will LOVE a baby bro or sister... :) but according to my DH, if it's a girl, we're sending it back... yeah, right. ;) but I'm definitely not holding my breath for a girl. He's 4 for 4 in the boy department!

Much love, dear ladies and...Image to ALL!

Hello ladies! This has to be a quick update because I'm on my BB and it's a pain to type on!

Had my SNS yesterday and RE called telling me not to take any Follistim last night or Menopur this morning. Went in at 9 am this morning and he said my E2 was over 8000 (not a typo) and he expects to retrieve about 30 eggs. I trigger in 40 minutes and go for ER on Tuesday morning at 830 am!

I'm ready to get this show on the road! Feeling good, but bloated! Please forgive my short self centered post. I'll catch up on personals tomorrow.

Thank you all for the kind words and encouragement. PMA to all!!!

Also on the bb so this is going to be short!

Riley-HOLY SH-T!!!! I have one big suggestion for you and that's drinking TONS of water/gaterade after ER to eliminate OHSS because you will have so many eggs!

Kate & Franny-Good luck with your apts tomorrow!

Babyhopes-yah for trigger:)

Riley - ditto on Claudia's gatorade suggestion. I had 22 eggs in my 1st cycle and they were worried I would get OHSS too. Avoided it, thankfully. Hang in there girl, just a matter of hours now!!!!

Hey Ladies!
Rileybabymaybe- Wow! 30 eggs, you go girl! Yeah for trigger!

Misocial- sorry you feel like crap. It will be over soon and a precious little one will be the result of it.

Turtle- how are your stims going? How many days have you been stimming? There are a few of us on here with close to the same cycle. I’m not exactly sure, I have to look at Katie99 list. And you and samgarkay are right about the follistem being liquid gold. I’ve learned to use every drop.
Katie99- I don’t have a dog, just a cat. I almost got a puppy today though. My oldest son works at walmart and someone was giving away puppies. He took a picture and at first I was like a puppy is like a new baby and I’m going to have a new baby, but then I saw the picture and it is adorable.
Samgarkay- thanks for the advice about the follistem. I will let my nurse know tomorrow.
Rlk1- yeah for PIO shots! I’m so excited for you.

Babyhopes- OMG, you trigger tonight! You don’t need to go to work tomorrow. Relax before your ER!

I will do some more reading to catch up with everyone else.

AFM- On day 3 of follistem and lupron. So far so good, I feel great! No more headaches from the lupron.I go back for SNS on Tuesday so I hope my follies are growing well. My DH says thank you to all of you for being there for me while he is gone. I talk to him every other day and I tell him how much of a help you all have been for keeping me sane. He won’t be home until June so hopefully all of us will be good and preggo by then. Time is going by so fast, it seems like it was just a month ago my DH and I were sitting in the RE’s office talking about this, but that was back in October!

Thanks everyone, and I keep all of you in my prayers every night.

DH: 43 and perfect

msmac: thanks for the prayer and you're in my prayer too!

Riley baby maybe: OMG! holy crab! 30 eggs! GL and crossing fingers for you!

Hope644: Sorry for the experience at the pharmacy! Glad to hear you and your DH can see each other more often now! My donor is a college student and the school was just begun. She's very busy. We still have emailed each other and we have exchanged our cell phone number. We're still keeping in touch.

Katie: I bet you must have a good sleep tonight after all the exercises with your twin! At least, it happened to me and my dog after giving him a bath. He doesn't like to and get very nervous on water. But after he's done, he's so happy and running around. Does it sound to every dog? My donor should have AF in 10 days. If she won't, I will beg for a AF dance at that time. Right now, I'm hoping to get well and have AF come. BTW, sending you tons of SUNSHINE! xoxo

misocial: Hope you get better from the meds!

beth84: crossing fingers for your beta! GL and best wish!

baby hopes: so excited to hear you're triggered tonight! GL to your ET!

latrell22: please do not worry about side effects! not everyone have the same side effects. some people don't have any at all! everyone is unique! You might have none!

rlk1: YAY! Glad to hear FET on Friday! GL!

Wow, you guys ! typing, typing females! I see that I'm going to have to check in a lot more often to keep up with you all! :D Nothing much new with me, just waiting for my baseline - which is a week from tomorrow
Funny how time passes fast when you dont want it to and slow, of course, when you cant wait

Missocial -Yeah, sorry but menopur does sting a bit, its because of something in its base. Now, what? doesnt your boss know that its all about ivf? Its kind of like your brain gets hijacked or something.

Blessed mama -Dont feel like you'll be behind other girls, These threads are like trains, theres always some jumping on or off at different times. I'll start stims 2 days ahead of you and Washingtonda should be really close to you also!

Hope -We all totally get how theres never enough time with a little one home (and a real cutie too!) Thanks for the graphics! love them! especially the one "perfect" egg! When you get more on your schedule - let me know :D

Riley -Oh, my! over 8000 E2! Ask your RE if he plans to Rx Cabergoline for you. You need to pay close attention for s/s of OHSS
particularly quick weight gain, difficulty breathing, and less urination. Not to scare you but OHSS is no joke! I'll keep you in my prayers. Good luck with your ER tomorrow!

babyhopes -Good luck with your ER tomorrow too! wishing you loads of healthy eggs!

Msmac -Your last post made me choke up! please tell your DH Thank You for all the sacrifices made (both of you!) and for protecting our country. I know how hard deployments are on the whole family, but thank God, June isnt too far away and hopefully you'll be preggers long before then. My DH got me a puppy as a consolation for being cancelled last June - they have a way of keeping you hopping! and smiling - even when they drive you crazy! Good luck with your SnS tomorrow!

Dodo -Yes, my dogs act the same way - like they hate the bath, but when its done they are the happiest animals ever. Thanks for the sunshine! we actually have some today! :D I think its great that you have contact with your donor and are getting to know her a bit, she sounds wonderful!

Franny -Ugh! Why does your clinic take soooo long to call back?
hope they call soon!

I'm going to tackle the list this afternoon
hugs & prayers for all of us! - xoxo

latrell22: Welcome! I’m glad you decided to join us—the more the merrier. Sorry to hear about your loss. As far as bloating, it sounds like you’ll be just starting your meds when you go to your ball---if that’s true, the bloating shouldn’t be bad and you can wear your gown in style!

jenice: You’re not being dramatic at all. You’re facing difficult decisions—made all the worse with so many uncertainties in this process and when people around you seem to get pregnant so easily. Ugh!

dodo928: Thanks for your encouragement about Friday. Any sign of AF?

claud662: YAY for starting stims and stopping BCPs tomorrow! Woo-hoo!

baby hopes: Ohhhhhhh…..electrophysilogy (NOT Environmental Protection!). Sounds so interesting!! GOOD LUCK tomorrow!!! I’m thinking of you!!!

Bethanyneedsluck: Hope you had a nice time with your mom on her birthday---maybe it distracted you a bit from the disappointment of a cancelled cycle (one of my IUIs was cancelled and one of my IVF cycles was cancelled----SOOOOO frustrating!).

turtle0619: How did the SnS go today?

J&C: Glad that the Estrogen is treating you well! We decided to transfer one embryo if it looks awesome after the thaw, or two embryos if they look so-so after the thaw (this is assuming they survive the thaw!). We have three totsicles in storage. We’ll see what happens!

beth84: VA buddy---LOVE that! Hope the stims are treating you better and that your bruising subsides!

misocial: Let us know how your SnS goes on Wednesday. Oh, and I’m pissy too---all the time---I wonder if I can blame it on the meds or if it’s just me?!?

katie99: Funny you should mention my heiney—as it’s in SO MUCH PAIN today after the PIO injection last night. I’m about 10-15lbs heavier this go around (since my IVF cycle in March 2008) and I thought that extra padding might be to my advantage as far as the injections went. WRONG. It still hurts like a MOTHER! What’s new with you?

BlessedMama: YAY for your calendar---I bet it makes everything more real now!

Hope644: Ugh. You’d think the pharmacist could have been a little more discreet. Sounds like your DH could use a little pink in the house if he’s 4 for 4 for boys!

Riley baby maybe: How did the trigger go? You AND baby hopes have an ER too---so exciting! Also, ditto what everyone else has said about OHSS. They retrieved 20 eggs for me and I had a bad case of OHSS (had to be drained of fluid three times in a week---NOT fun!).

msmac: Your DH sounds so great and supportive---I’m glad you’re able to talk to him every night. June will be here before you know it!

Arabsrcool: Not that I want you to feel bloated or have head aches---but I’m glad I’m not alone! When is your FET again? Is it Sunday?

Hi to all I missed too! I'll check back with you girls later!
