hi girls....

we are back... it's been a crazy day and both my other boys are sick with high fevers and not feeling well.. the scan went good... it was good to see the little GUY. Well we said that we did not want her to tell us, but when she measured the leg bone it seemed apparent that it's another boy.... we are happy.... but DH did want a dad's little girl, but we are happy... and the boys will all have buddies to play with... we are still not 100%, but we both definatly saw somthing there... they also saw bright spots in the babies intestine, which they say could be the iron in the blood from when i was spottng that they baby injested, or slight possibility of cysticfibrosis or sometimes they see it in downs, but there were no other downs signs.... so he really thinks that it's from when i was spotting.... other then that they changed the due date a little(now 6/15/07) and he weighed in at 9oz...

we'll catch up later

Hi Ladies!

Just now have time to write...I hate report card time! It's just crazy getting grades together....

Racheal, I was so sorry to read about your uncle. I know you were very close with him. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers....I hope you're traveling well.

Colleen--Congrats on the little boy! You'll have three musketeers, huh? I think boys are so much fun. That's great news! I'm sure if the doc thought there were concerns about the iron that was ingested, he would have run more tests, so I'm sure everything is fine with your little one! Have you picked out any good names? Oh, thanks for the belt info and twin/crib idea! I'm going to check out twin sites today.

cowgirl--Thanks for your info on the crib situation. My first and natural instinct is to have them sleep together, since they would probably find comfort in being near each other.....since they're pretty used to it by now! However, as they get older and start to roll, I've heard it's not safe to have them in the same crib. I know things will be fine no matter what we decide.....it's just one of those things we won't really know until they get here, I guess!

Nance--How's it going with the Therapist? I hope s/he's able to help you manage the stress and anxiety of life as well as pregnancy! Good luck.
Are you feeling any better?

Nothing much new here. I finally went to work out for the first time in AGES....(I had avoided it with the spotting, nausea, etc.) I just rode a bike for 25 minutes and did lots of stretching. Nothing too strenuous. I seem to feel better when I exercise. I hope I can get into a regular routine....

I hear that OHio might finally get some snow! To all you gals already buried in it, go make a snow angel!

Hello Girls!

It lloks like everyone is doing great!

Collen - Congrats! I had hoped to have the Three Musketeers also, but it just didn't work out that way.

Cowgirlclass - How did your scan go? I hope everything was peachy!

To all of you who wished me well, thank you. I was able to say goodbye to my uncle in a wonderful funeral on Saturday. It was a plot he picked out and I think it best suited him. He was a avid fisherman (every weekend he was out on the boat) and they buried him right next to a boat ramp. In fact, we can see the boats from his grave site. I am doing much better now that the funeral is behind me. Now his wife must learn to live without him. She has the hardest part out of all of us. My aunt did say she will come and visit for a few weeks. I am glad she will get away for a little while.

I hope everyone keeps doing well!

Hello Girls....

Kim- glad to hear things are going well for you. Have you been able to keep up with the exercising?

Racheal- glad to hear you are doing better after the funeral. Also glad to hear that your aunt is going to make a visit... it will probably be great for her.

Cowgirl- how did your scan go today? Give us details....

As for us we're doing good. Finally hit the 1/2 way mark this past weekend... I'm so excited. However, I just received some info from my insurance company that my doctor has dropped my insurance. I have an appointment tomorrow... so we'll talk with him about it and see if he can extend us until June. If not I have to find a new doctor right away... which is terrible. Wish me luck girls....

Rachel, I am glad you are back and was able to say good bye to your uncle. I am glad you aunt is in good enough spirts to plan a trip, I am sure it will be very good for her.

Colleen did the tech/doc tell you it was a boy? When they measured the leg bone for me I thought the same thing, but she told me what I was seeing was the umbilical cord. It didn't look long enough to be that but it was. The reason why I know this is because my husband's curiousity got the best of him and he asked. So the tech looked and she said baby didn't want us to know. But then doc came in to double check my cervix since I continue to spot bleed and husband mentioned it again and doctor did a zoom out of the bottom and it was apparent it was a girl. I wanted a boy for my husband cause this will be our only one, but I think girls are awsome so I am very happy. :-) We are going to name her Naomi Joy :-)

The baby looked great in the scan. The tech was not very friendly at ALL but the doc that came in was very very nice. It is a good chance that will be my last US for a long time, but I can actually hear the HB when my stomach is not rumbling with a stethascope(sp) which I had for listening to horses bellies :-). Horses don't mind I hope Naomi doesn't either. :-) We are still going to do the nursery in horses and bears and pretty gender neutral, but now I can buy a few cute outfits :-)

Kim I think that is awesome that you are back to exercising! I bought a second hand pregnancy exercise video I plan to use a few times a week (hopefully) we will see. :-\

Tasha I feel your pain about insturance. I am going to have to switch doctors at the end of march. It stinks but all my screening will be done and I am going to use the same doc my sister in law used. I have seen him before and he seems pretty good and my sister in law is demanding so I am sure all will be okay. I also found out that I HAVE to wait till June 5 to deliver or I only get 1 week maternity leave. I changed jobs back in Jun 2006 and for the short term disablity to take effect I have to be here 1 year. It will be okay no matter what but I find it kind of funny that company paid maternity is the same for men and women (1 week) but women get 4 weeks of short term disability at 100% then 8 more weeks at 50% for a baby.

Well that is all for me.

Take care all,
Cowgirl

GO BEARS :D :D Superbowl here we come!!!!!

hi there girls.... we are doing ok here....i do have to say that i have a love/hate relationship with the internet.... as we found out that the baby has echogenic bowels... i've been looking things up... some things totally put me at ease while others scare the heck out of me... i have a DR appointment with my ob this afternoon.... hopfully i'll get a few questions answered.... I did read that what the baby has is quite rare... and sometimes it's completely nothing and other times it can lead to more serious stuff.... so we are saying our prayers and could use all the prayers that we can get that the baby is healthy....

tasha- i hope that you can work out the insurance stuff.... if not, i can give you the name and number of my doc to meet, and he too goes to st alexius... we both have appointments tonight.... hope that they are both great... we'll have to compare tomorrow....

cowgirl- Congrats on the girls and the good scan!!!! as for us actually she did not tell us, as i told her we didn't want to know.... but when i said oh that's the legs and the tush and the hoho.... she giggled and said... "you must have had enough ultrasounds to know what you are looking at".... so i took that as we were correct.. still could be wrong, but we are trying to find a boys name... i love naomi it's a great name..... cool that you can hear the heartbeat.....DH felt the baby move the last two nights.... i get into bed and lay a certain way and he starts kicking like crazy!! i've even had a few WOW kicks...

rachael- glad that you are back... just think that oyur uncle is in a better place and pain free.....it's hard here for you guys, but he'll be watching over you and your baby!!

Kim- did you get any snow.... we only got an inch or two here not that much.... but it was just in time for the football game... hope that working out is going good... i tried and my BP got to high, so we are just able to walk... not a whole lot of fun... but i guess that it's something.... as for names... we are still working on it... we had a girls name pretty much set, but not close to a boys name... as we've had to pick out two boys names already...

nance- hope that things are going good... and the "yucky" feeling has gone away!!

take care all

Hi Colleen- Yeah i almost forgot.... GO BEARS!!!! Talk about a great game. Well I'm hoping that I can work out all of this insurance stuff.... otherwise I do have my other OB/GYN I can always go back to. I switched to this doctor because he had delivered 2 of my cousins kids & 1 of my friends kids. Now he's leaving me... the only good thing that will come out of this is that we'll get to have another ultrasound with the new doctor if we have to switch.

Glad to hear your doing good... hopefully your doctor can answer some questions for you tonight about your little one. Good luck...

Have a great night everyone-
Tasha

Hi gals!

Busy day on the message board. Wow!

Tasha--What a bummer about the insurance. I swear, after all the IVF bills, I HATE insurance companies. Ugh. I hope you can work things out. As for exercising, I'm walking my big labradoodle everyday. I'm trying to hit the gym 2 or 3 times a week for a bike ride or light weights....haven't gotten into a good rythmn yet though. I'm not stressing about it though...I just want to stay healthy.

Cowgirl--Congrats on the little girl! Naomi is a pretty name! Keep those legs crossed! That disability thing sounds like a crazy situation to me. Good luck, and tell your little one to stay put! by the way, when did you start feeling her kick? I don't think I've felt any kicks yet.....

Colleen--Yeah, we only got a couple of inches of snow here. No days off school for me. So, maybe a boy, huh???? Maybe the superbowl will inspire a good name for ya! I hope your appt this afternoon goes well....and I'll be praying for your little one. Hopefully it won't be anything too serious. PMA, right? Try to limit your internet searches--it's enough to drive any sane person nuts! (And I'm not sure how sane any pregnant woman could be! )

Not much new here with me! We've decided to go for broke and get two cribs. Found two on the internet that look just like my favorite at Baby's R Us, yet they're about 60 bucks cheaper....multiply that by 2, and I like the difference! Plus free shipping! Yeah! Other than that, I'm starting to stress about the idea of getting 2 of most things. I know most of my friends/family will help at the shower, but I have no idea where I'd put everything! For you experienced mamas out there, what would you consider "necessities" that you would get 2 of? I'm already planning on the obvious: car seats and high chairs. But I'm not sure about swings, bouncers, etc. Any ideas?

Hope the rest of you gals are doing well....

hi girls... well the dr's appointment went well... i got a few questions answered, and they ran a ton of blood work to test for a few things.. so i'll get the restults on Monday, and then if that all looks good, then i think that i can relax.. doc did say that there is no way at all i am going to go the 40 weeks... he said the most is 38 and doubts that we'll make that ... he is thinking 36-37 weeks.... we kind of expected that and he's said that before, but he said that it's not even a possibility with the findings.. we have another ultrasound in 8 weeks, then 4 weeks after that, then every 2 weeks untill we deleiver... so i guess one good thing is that i'll see the baby quite a bit.... i also am seeing the dr every 3 weeks and when we hit 28 weeks we'll see him every 2 weeks... so it seems as if there will be a lot of appointments in my near future.. at least my dr's office is only 5 minutes away!!!

i'll catch up with the personals tomorrow, as i'm going to get to bed... hope that everyone has a good day/night!!!

Good Morning Girls-

Well our appointment last night was great... my doctor has approved my extension. Which means I'll stay with him until the baby is born... I'll also get 1 postpartum appointment with him. After that I'll have to look for another doctor. I'm so happy.... So I gained 3 pounds this past month... I'm now up to 5 pounds total, which is pretty good. My doctor said that our little girl is going to be a big girl and he doesn't see us going full term. I'm hoping she's not that big.... !

Well I'll try and do personals a little later on today...

Tasha--I'm glad you get to stick with your doc! That must be a relief. Boy, you've only gained 5 pounds? How the heck? I thought my weight gain would slow down after the stims and all the drugs...but I seem to keep creeping up.

Colleen--Glad your appt. went well. I'm confused...or maybe I forget...why do they think you'll go early? Is it because of the problem they've found with the bowels? Just curious....I think I might have missed something....

Where are the rest of you gals....sleeping, I hope!
