Well, it's as I thought, time to call it quits. No heartbeat at 7 1/2 wks. My doctor assures me that it's probably chromosomal problem and nothing to do with me. She also confirmed that it does prove that my lining is good and able to support a pg, which I was always skeptical of. Basically the older you get the more chromosome problems with the eggs, approx. 50% at age 35 so it's the luck of the draw. I stop the progesterone today and it should resolve itself in a week, if not I have to go in for a procedure..ugg. Hope it doesn't come to that.
Paige, thanks for the suggestion. I have a lot of confidence in my lab and my doctor (so far). I have 5 day-2 embryos and 4 blastocysts in the freezer so I think we have a lot to work with. Also I think I know why the first IVF failed (over-stimulated and had to coast for too long) and I'm counting the 2nd cycle as a success just a problem with the embryo.
Thank you ladies for all of your support. I'm glad that I could share my story with women that understand and know that I'm not alone with these feelings. I hope with all of my heart that none of you ever have to go through this!
