Good Morning Ladies,

Okay, better give you my occupation before you all kick my butt for doing what I have done. I did IVF in my own lab. Literally. I am an Embryologist. Luckly my partner was able to work the whole cycle so I stayed out of the lab as long as my embryos were in there, I am real big on the ethics things.

I have been doing UPT since Friday. I know too early. If my embryos implanted they would not have dones so till friday at the earliest. I was curious to see if my synthetic HCG was gone. I took 10,000mg/ml on the 25th of august and by friday the 2nd it was gone. I am such a scientist at heart. Well, the hcg was negative sat and sunday and I think maybe today. I started with the first repsonse early detection thinking it would detect the lowest levels. Today I used the first response and the early response digital. The FR was negative and the ER said it was. When I was removing the stick from the digital I was looking at it to see the methodology behind it to discover it to be like a normal test. 2 lines pos one line negative. I am going to go to the ER website to see what it says to do if you have the sticks but the digital doesn't work. I want to see if they say to read it like a normal test (1 line neg 2 line pos). On the stick though at the 3 minute mark you can see something very very very faint in the second line area. I know it is not an evaporation mark, as I was within my time limit and the sample are had not dried. You have to look to see it but there is a distinct difference in the area with the surrounding area. Anyone have the occurance with the ER before. The lines on these are blue versus pink on the the First Response.

I had already planned on doing HPt THurs and friday before my blood test as my main office is in the dr office where all the other patients will be coming in and I have patients all that day (I am an Andrologist also, I manage two lab sites). I need to be prepared.

My boobs are sore, but as I told my hubby. Mine are sore when I am preg and when I pms, so it is not a good indicator for me.

Hope everyone is feeling well. i am going to go and buy another test kit today or tomorrow. Figure while I was at try to test different kits, as I will do a FET in Nov if this doesn't work.

Any advice of the kits? Katrina

Hi Katrina - Sorry I can't help on the HPTs...but I am sure you will get lots of questions from fellow IVFers know we know your occupation :D . All the best for you on 9th September and please let us know if you find anything out.

Tilly, Pootle, and Doraglasses - Do you want to be added to the testers list? When is your test date? We have a separate thread which tracks the testing.

I am keeping everything crossed for a bumper September month!!! 8) 8)

Test on the 8th

Post by care73a »

My 2ww is almost to an end. I have my test on Thursday the 8th and it is taking everything in my not to do a HPT. DH and I decided at the start that we would wait for the lab. I am now upset that I agreed to that! The wait seems forever.

I go back to work tomorrow after 7 day bedrest (clinc orders). I so don't want to go back to work. My retrevial was when the hurricane hit here in Florida. What a mess that was........... I swore it wasn't going to happen. I was in tears. But it happened, and so did the transfer.

NOW IT IS THE WAIT.......and wait, and wait. THank goodness I learned how to knit and have great friends and family. I am really tired of the question 'do you feel prego'. Well lets see............with all the drugs that I have pumped into my body I don't even remember what 'normal' feels like.

I go for an ultra sound tomorrow (one of the wonderful probs that seem to have become my best friend lol). Make sure my lining is okay (was a little on the thin side). Also to see if everything is "okay".

I just want a bfp with a healthy baby in the end. But I guess this is what we all want all we would not be doing what we are doing.

Tracii,

Thanks for the invite to join the testers list. Not quite sure when my test date. I go back to hospital on Thurs for general observation. I presume they will give me further info them. This Thurs will be 1 week since EC.

Good Afternoon Ladies,

Very worn out now. Got a little aggrevated at the houses condition so I got up and cleaned for an hour. Now I am cramping on my right ovary area. Not in the middle at all, just the right side. So, I stopped cleaning and came back to bed. don't know if it was a coincidence or not. I really don't cramp before my AF so I don't relate the two. I feel worse during my AF, than before.

I wish my test date was tomorrow. At least I go back to work tomorrow and the time will past faster. It has been a very long weekend. Normally weekends fly by, but not when you are forced to be in bed.

Hope everyone is feeling well and keeping their minds occupied to their test date!

Hi all

Hope you are all doing fine.

Welcome to Katrina, tilly, doraglasses and care73a. Care73a it looks like we test on same day good luck.

Hi to Michelle, Ange hope you are both holding up not long to go!!!!!! Good luck

Also hi to tibbie how you holding up?

I hardly had any blood loss yesterday and only a small bit this morning. I really don't think this is my time. I don't feel pregnant and so many of my friends who have children have said that for some reason they can't explain that you feel differently. I had some pain over my right ovary quite sharp and it was very similar to cyst pain. I did a hpt this morning( I know!!) but i needed to know. There wasn't even a faint glimmer. I know that they are not 100% accurate and theres always a small glimmer of hope but if i hang on to that I will be crushed on Thursday when i get a BFN at the clinic and I don't want to fall apart there, at least I feel much calmer about things it's the not knowing the drives you wild. I know that some people will think I'm being negative but i'm being realistic it's a defence mechanism..... I hope i'm proved wrong. Can't wait to get Thursday over with and then can get on with our lives and plan next cycle.
Hope I haven't depressed you all....I 'm ok, we really never thought we would get this far.

Thanks to all the others Smita, little P, Traci and sue e for coming over and giving us your support it means so much.

lots and lots of baby dust to you all lets get some smiley faces on that test thread. :D

take care
love

Clair,
Its all an old wives tale( in short- crap!) abt feeling differnt when you're preg- I know- I dont feel any different- didnt feel different from day 1.So you hang in there.
Plus abt the hpt-I think since u have endo too, your result may show on a blood test instead of an hpt.
I hope so much its a positive for you.
Are they doing bloods on thursday or an hpt?
you're in my thoughts.
Keep positive.
Hugs,
smita

Hi girls,
Wow, this thread has really taken off since i last logged on.

I'm feeling over the moon, done another test this morning (DH made me do it) and it came out as positive aswell. It's the 4th i've done since Friday and each day the positive mark has got darker.
I still feel rotten though, so tired all the time, sore stomach and i think i'm peeing for Scotland. I'm not gonna complain though as we have waited so long for this.
Michael (DH) wasn't too sure about the test results until he studied the instruction leaflet and made me do one today, when it came up positive he just got the biggest grin on his face, grabbed me and kissed me.
I won't get the clinics confirmation until either Thursday or Friday as we are posting the sample to them, but they said to just test at home in the meantime. So we think 4 tests at home and 4 positives can't be wrong.

Ange - How are you holding up? Good luck for you tomorrow

Clair - sorry to hear you are still spotting, i'm really hoping you get good news on Thursday.

A big HELLO to all the new joiners of the Septembies 2ww, hope you are all holding up.
Sorry for the lack of personals, my brain just isn't functioning properly at the moment and i've forgotten what i read in everyone's posts.

Good luck to you all.
Take care,
Lotsa love

Michelle

Michelle :D

This sounds like very POSITIVE news - take care of yourself and I'm keeping everything crossed that things continue towards that positive outcome.

Big hugs to you and DH
