Hi Ladies,

Well, I went for my US today and had the shock of my life!!
My lining was 9.5mm, and that was only after 2 shots of Estrodiol Valerate and AF only stopped on Tuesday. BOY!!! that's strong stuff.

So we are still on for my FET next Thursday 20th. We are hoping to transfer 3 embryos, providing it doesn't mean defrosting to many frosties. I have 10 frosties left and we want to keep some, incase we have to try again.
I must say though i am feeling very positive about this cycle as things have gone well up to now, well apart from the dreaded AF being late

My test date is Thursday August 3rd, so i imagine i will be the first August BFP!!!!!, and get this month off to a good start.

PMA PMA PMA thats right isn't it Lisa

Good luck to you ladies and take care.
Hugs Rachel OXO

Hi Vickie and welcome to the happy and supportive family, the ladies on here are amazing.

Em - I know how you feel, by having to take time out, after my first cycle we had to wait for the clinic to re-open after there quarterly clean, and then, they closed down and we had to wait for all the legal work to be sorted for the new clinic my Dr was going to use. In the end we had to wait about 6 months it was so frustrating!!!

But just think positively and use the time to get as healthy as possible, but also to enjoy yourself and not have baby on the brain all the time.

The time will fly by and your have your BFP before you know it.

Your comment about DH made me laugh.
I keep telling mine that he better be good as i don't need him anymore as i have my embies frozen, and we can't afford another full cycle.

Lis - I hope your feeling more positive about this months IUI. I'm sure everything will be fine and your get your BFP, I'm praying for you and your in my thoughts.

Macca - I hope AF arrives on time for you, I know she can be a right ***** when you want her to show her ugly head!!!!!
I'm praying for this cycle to work for you and give you that BFP you so deserve.

Hope every thing is going well for everybody else.

Wishing you all strong BFP's and sending you loads of babydust.

Hugs Rachel OXO

Thank-you

Post by Vickie »

Thank-you for ur support ladies, I'm finding the wait to have the 1st injection really hard, it seems to be going really slow!!

Its prob being made worse by the fact that i had to start taking the BCP on 23rd June and have been bleeding ever since..
Did any of u guys have to take the pill b4 u starting the injections. I hoping that it'll b ok and that they've only got me on it so that i come on when they want me to but... am i going to if i've been bleeding for this long - where's it gonna come from??? And, what happens if i dont bleed when i'm down-regging??

I'm a real worryer but hopefully its just coz i'm new to it and don't really know wot 2 expect!

Ur support is amazing - i know its gonna help me through!!

Love and best wishes to every1

Hi Ladies, hope you all had a good weekend!!!

Vickie - I think everybody doing a full cycle of IVF and chemical FET's takes the BCP to start it all off. It's so they can kind of control your cycle.

The lupron turns of the puturity gland so they can control how many follicals you produce. The stims obviously make more follicals plus build your lining to how they want it.

I would try not to worry, your Dr knows what he/she is doing.

If you are really concerned maybe you should contact your Dr and ask him/her to explain it all to you to put your mind at rest.

You seem the opposite to me, My AF is always late, but you will be surprised how quickly the lining can regrow.

Good luck with you cycle, i'm sure everything is fine and it will all go to plan and you will be telling us you got a stong BFP before you know it.

Take care
Rachel OXO

So, here I am the eve before my very first Lupron injection. DH says with great confidence "it's game time" but I am quickly becoming nervous, mainly about the unknowns of the coming weeks. This could actually be it! 5 weeks from now I could be announcing a BFP!
This is going to be tough. Got a few busy weeks of work ahead, planning for DD's school year to start in conjunction with her 10th birthday (which are always within 1-2 days of each other), DH finishing his last class toward his degree with graduation in August, and he will be starting a new job as a high school history teacher just after. August is always hectic but throwing in this IVF cycle will make for plenty of crying outbursts I'm sure!
I'm trying to stay calm, plan ahead, and keep my home running so that I don't feel behind. Is alcohol allowed during IVF? (JK)
I don't say much on this board but watch all of you every day. I am nervous, but excited to see our outcomes next month and ready to take this journey with each of you. PMA! PMA!
Anyone else starting injections this week?

Nickii,

Best of luck sweetheart with the treatment. We will all be rooting for you honey for the BFP...

Dionne,

Welcome and good luck with your first and hopefully last IVF. It will be fine. I'm about to do my 4th full IVF and believe me if it was that bad I wouldn't be doing it. Keep positive and rest as much as possible.

Dionne - welcome to this board, you'll get lots of advice and support from the girls here. Good luck with the IVF

Vicky - good luck with your tmt, don't worry about the tmt dragging, before you know it you'll be at the ET stage and then they will be putting the little embies back in and you'll be telling us all about your BFP!! It will fly by!

Hi ladies
I have popped over from the July Thread as I will probably overlap the two. Wishing you all good luck on the August thread.

Vickie - I am on day 13 of downregging and had to take the Primolut tablets from day 1 - 5. Started the Buserelin injections on day 2. AF went away on day 4 but came back very heavy on day 6 and continued until yesterday. I was really worried but the ladies on here are so great and put my mind at rest and said that's a good thing as my lining should hopefully be nice and thin at my baseline scan on Thursday. My hormones are all over the place at the mo but I am staying positive.
I wish you and DH lots of luck. Keep me posted as to how you get on, feel free to PM me anytime!
Stay positive. :)
