WOW - looks like Thurs/Fri alot of EGGIES are going to be retrieved.

I fall into E/R Thurs or Friday as well - my phone call this afternoon will confirm. I now have 13 follicles - some are at 20mm already and smallest is 14mm...and many inbetween.

Thanks for the info on the HCG/PIO shots...I am ready for them...ice and count of 3...luckily my butt has more cushion than my stomach so hoping it's a cinch!

kbat - I hear ya w/ hoping for some wknd appointments...I am hoping for E/R Thurs so E/T is Sunday...makes it less stressful w/ not missing work 2 days etc. but whatever day it is I'm grateful things are progressing.

RunnerKate - great job! 6 for 6 and all fertilized!!

I will definately POAS hahaha! I think my clinic does 16 dpo blood test - I cannot wait 16 days!

Had acupuncture yesterday - went great. Have another appt. Saturday at 145pm - he may work with me if transfer is Sunday/Monday and I'll get an appt the day of transfer if it's convenient...

Hang in there ladies! We are all getting close!

I updated the calendar. Congrats on all who made it through ER - hope you have lots of embies to put back in!!!

As for me, went again this morning and thankfully we are going ahead with the cycle!! RE called a friend of his at another clinic and got advice for me - we are going to trigger with low hcg and gnrh (Lupron) - but RE's office has to mix it for me because it has to be "perfect." That's fine with me - less for me to mess up! He said if I overstimulate it should be minimal. So ER will be Thursday or Friday - will find out when they leave me a message this afternoon. Thanks for the well wishes - I have acupuncture soon so hopefully she can send me more positive energy!

Hi Ladies!
This is definitely a big week for this thread! My thoughts are with all of you with ER/ET dates this week!

I went in for bw and u/s this morning. The technician said my lining looked a little thick. It was boderline too thick and I might have to wait another day or so before I start stims. She said she really had no idea and they have to check bloodwork too so right now I am just waiting for the call and hoping I get to inject myself with some Gonal-F tonight! :)

Good luck to everyone!

HELLO ALL :D

CATHAN: Like you, I did not find the "TRIGGER" shot to be bad at all. Don't get me wrong, I bawled the entire time my DH was preparing and injecting, because I was scared of the first IM shot, but I felt nothing. PIO shots were a little harder, but still nothing that cannot be handled.

IRISHHOPE: Maybe you will get lucky and could still have ER on weekend. I only took day of ER off. I wanted to save my time. I was in pain at work the next day, but I made it through. For ET, mine was on Sat and I took off Mon just to have one more day of relaxing. I am thinking good thoughts for a great ER for you.

JUSTJENIS: "GO FOLLIES GO!!!" 7 @ 17-18 for one ovary is awesome!!!

LB: I am glad they are going forward with your cycle. I am praying for a great ER with no OHSS for you.

RUNNERKATE: That was an awesome retrieval. I am so glad you did not cancel your cycle. That fert report is amazing. My RE told me that 50% fertilization is expected, 100% is incredible. I am glad you have such good odds. I know you are from the D.C. area, what clinic are you going to?

ITSGOTTAWORK: I'm glad you are right on track.

CORNYBABY: I'm glad ER went well, can't wait to hear a great "FERT REPORT".

STEPHANIENJ: I did Lupron, Gonal-F and Menopur right up to trigger, than a blessed 36 hours of no injections before ER. Night of ER, PIO shots started.

KBAT: You mentioned you were going to last Acupuncture. Did you like it? I just wondered why you weren't continuing.

BEANER: good luck for a great ER. Like you said and my RN has on a bumper sticker on her car. "IT ONLY TAKES ONE!!!"

As for me, I am still taking the BCP. My last one is this Sunday the 24th. I am in for US and BW on the 25th and start the microdose Lupron injections on the 27th.

I am anxious to get started again, I am praying this is my cycle.

As for POAS, I know it is not recommended and with my first cycle, I did not. I know that I will this cycle, I already bought a three-pack. I will wait until after trigger should be out of my system and test over three consecutive days before BETA. For me, I just did not like being blindsided by the "SORRY" phone call. If you are choosing to wait, that is great, you are very strong!!!!!!!!! I just don't think I can this time.

I have my first Acupuncture appointment Thursday evening. I never even considered it my first cycle. When talking to my RE about my next cycle, I asked if it was helpful and without a seconds hesitation was told "Yes, it does". That was enough for me. I don't have Acupuncture converage in my insurance, but I do get a 25% discount with certain providers. I am little nervous, but I'm sure it will be fine. The Acupuncture Master I spoke to said that she does two treatments the day of ET, one before and one after. Has anyone else heard of this?

I AM SAYING PRAYERS FOR ALL OF US FOR GREAT STIMMING, ER'S, ET'S AND BFP'S!!!!!!!!

kbear - Acupuncture is so relaxing - great! Don't be overly nervous...it really doesn't hurt and you will feel so great afterwards. That is awesome your acupuncturist will do before/after E/T...there are many studies that show it helps w/ BFP!! I have heard of it for sure...infact if my acupuncturist is available etc. I definately am going to try and schedule an appt. as close as I can to E/T....

wow you too say the "trigger" shot is not bad...I know DH is even a bit nervous but I will ice it and bite a pillow I guess?? anyone know any other tricks? I heard if you put your weight on your other leg it helps or turn your foot outwards??? is it all bologna???

I am sorry that I was missing, but we are redoing the bathroom and the kitchen- so life is a little chaotic to say the least.

Irish- I am sorry to be out of the loop is your trigger intramuscular?? I have to take 2 shots of Ovidrel for a trigger but my shot is in the stomach.
Best of luck with your ER. Can't wait to hear your fert report!!!

Jenis - Congrats on the u/s results! Thursday will be here before you know it. MY clinic called with the fertilization report. I had 6 eggs, but only 4 were fully mature yesterday, so they ICSI'd the 4 and all fertilized. They were going to try to ICSI the other 2 today. Now they are tucked away snug in the lab and won't be looked at again until Thursday morning when I go in for transfer. We are hoping the 4 continue to grow so that we have 3 or 4 to transfer...yay! In 48 hours I'll be PUPO!

kbear--acupuncture is great... It's so relaxing. I do think it has helped me w/ my cycles--the last 2 when i did it, the cycle went quickly and it seems like the follicles were getting bigger faster. I am a poor responder--so I never get a lot of eggs. But I look for quality over quantity. I believe that the acupuncture does help w/ that as well. The last cycle was the first time I ever did a day 3 transfer and both of my eggs were developing nicely. One sort of took, but ended in etopic--but better than previous results which were either no egg transfer (twice) or just plain BFN... The only reason, I won't go for more is because my acupuncturist only recommends going up to e/r. I had an appointment for friday and I asked him if I should do one anyway, and he didn't think it was necessary.

I am on for Thursday for sure. I do my trigger shot at 8:30 pm tonight and I have to be there for 7:30 on Thurs. So, I guess I will miss a day of work, but it's been pretty slow anyway. This is more important to me anyway. My follicles grew a lot--at least 2 of them did. I had one at 19 and one at 20 mm. (they were at 16 yesterday). One just didn't grow as much, but it's at about 15 mm, and will probably grow up to the e/r. There were a few smaller ones--one at about 12.5 mm. So, I will take 2 or 3 good ones over a lot of lesser quality ones.

Irishhope--good luck to you--looks like we are on similar schedule.

Boy did this go by quickly. Just a couple of weeks ago, I was all worried (for nothing of course) about even being able to do this. there still hasn't been any official word about my dh's job, but I didn't want to roll the dice. But as suspected, everything worked out for the best.

:D :D

Hi girls. Thought I'd wake up enough to update everyone on my ER today. As you know, we only started working with about 3 mature follies (yikes!). Anyway, the ER was a breeze, the worst part about it was the IV! My clinic doesn't put you completely out...just some good IV "I don't care" meds. So, out of my 3 follies came 2 good eggies. I know it's not the numbers that some of you have, but I'm hopeful that they will both do their thing. I'll let you know tomorrow.

Sounds like everyone is moving along quickly!! Best of luck to you all!!!

JustJenis - nope i don't have a butt trigger either. I do it myself tonight, at 11:00 pm on the dot. Thank god, DH would be incredibly nervous about that....me too.

Cathann - I am so happy to hear that you got 2 good eggs with 3 follies. That really eases some of my worries. My follies are 20mm, 20.5, 19 and 18. I think those are all good sizes.

Last night taking the last 75 iu of Gonal-F, wouldn't you know it, I accidentally pulled the back of the syringe right out of the socket and dumped the whole thing on my lap. I am sooooo glad it didn't screw anything up. I better be more careful tonight.
