JesJes our Beta was 15 days after ER or 12 days after ET. We had 4 mature eggs and 3 fertilized. One egg only became a 3 cell after 3 days and was discarded  . They did a 3 day transfer with a 6 cell and 8 cell. We had no frosties . So far my DW has had no spotting, she did have lots of cramps last week which we attribute to implantation. This is our first cycle after my wife had her tubes tied due to a medical condition 10 years ago. From what I have seen the average HCG levels for our test time is around 130 and we are at 389. I don't know if both eggs attached or not but we are hoping for the best.

We decieded to pursue IVF and our doc said we are prime canidates since we are both fertile except for the tied tubes. I am 40 and my DW is 37 years old. I am glad so far things have worked out. Take Care and talk to you soon. Joe

Official word is I start stims tonight. Very excited about that (and a little nervous)!

Joe, that is a high beta. Maybe twins? I think it's high even for twins. And as they say, there is no beta level that guarantees twins. Keep us posted!

heekinjee, it likely won't be positive. You could use JesJes' method and make sure it's negative so you can feel more confident any future negatives are from a little bean! :)

Jim, I was sure I was pregnant last cycle. I felt nauseous and everything -- BFN. I was so unsure about my first cycle and it was BFP. Jes is right. Progesterone does funny things to a girl. :) Hang in there.

Hugs, good luck and baby dust to all!
Me 34, DH 33
1st IVF: DD born 6/06
2nd IVF: 2/08 BFN
3rd IVF: 5/08, transfer cancelled
1st FET: 7/08, chemical
2nd FET: eventually...

Yellow,

Good luck with the stims! Give us your daily reports too.

Hanging in here. Not thinking about it too much. I'm going to Amsterdam for work in 12 days so I've been busy preparing for that. Also doing yard work, etc. We'll see what God has planned for us shortly.

Hey ladies! Embryologist called with Day 2 fertilization report. Here are the results:

Of the 5 fertilized:
1 @ 5 cell, Grade 2 (above average)
1@ 4 cell, Grade 2 (above average)
2@ 3 cell (average)
1@ 2 cell (below average)

We are 3dt (tomorrow) the 5 and 4 cell, I am so excited!! My lab grades 1-5, 1 being the best. She said 85-90% embryos are Grade 2, and to be very pleased!!! Wish me luck girls!!!

Yellow: I am so excited that you are stimming, I know you are so relieved to get on with it!

Sameera: Girl, I am still thinking about you...so close!

Joe- Thanks for tellling us your DW's fertilization report. It made feel good hearing it, since I had a low number of eggs as well. So happy for your beta!!

Happy Friday~ Court :D

Hey Everyone,

Hope everthing is going OK.

Congrats Joe on the BFP!!!

Donna - Good luck on the Beta.

Sameera - you still haven't poas!!! You have a lot more will power then me. I have seen you post on the IVF connectons board. The PUPO thread just crackes me up and gives me a lot of hope. Good luck with your beta.

So do you guys think I am being really mean? One of my goods friends and his wife have been trying to get PG for awhile. He is 35 and his wife is 26. Anyway, she has been on clomid for a few months and I know this is the week that she will find out if she is PG. Well, she called last night and I didn't answer the phone just because I didn't want to hear it if she was PG. I just don't know how I will deal with it is she gets PG before me. I have been trying a lot longer, plus doing IUI's, and now IVF. Plus she is only 26 and has a lot more years to go. (yeh I know I am mean). Also, she is one of those people that are sick all the time and I know if she gets PG all she will do is complain on how sick she is. Every part of her pregnancy will become a big deal. We are also going on a weeks vaction together at the end of May and there is no way of avoiding her. I do wish them well but I sure do hope I get PG before her. Even if it is only a month before her at least I can gloat that I am PG too. I just don't know why this bothers me so much. My sis is PG with her 2nd child right now and I have no problems with that. Maybe it is just my hormones right now. O'well enough on that.

So right now I don't know if my cycle will be cancelled. I went to the RE yesterday for B/W and U/S and I had 1 really big follicle. I think it measured like 27 mm and this was after 6 days of stims. They say that if this follicle keeps growing it might force me to OV on my own. So if then my IVF cycle will be cancelled but I can still do an IUI. UGGGHHH this is so frustrating. I had to go back to the RE this morning for another b/w and u/s so I should be finding more out later on today.

Jes-

Every time I give Dri the progesterone shot now, I say "lovey, come here so I can ice down your ass!" She looks at me like I'm sick! haha. **I should note that she's Brazilian!***

Girls, how soon would you advise POAS after ET? I'm thinking like 8-9 days. Can it really tell before this time?

I've had a fresh and frozen cycle and here is the earliest the HPT has shown a positve for me (they beth were positive pregnancies btw)

Fresh~ got positive 5dp5dt
Frozen ~ 6dp5dt

HTH!

Wanted to add~ I take them from the start to see it go from positive to negative from the HCG shot...that way I know it's a real positive!

Chris - what's your screen name on IVF Connections?? Yes I love that PUPO thread too!!.. I still haven't done POAS :) so proud of myself.

Well, I do not think you are mean or bad friend just cause of what you said. I can imagine how you feel because I felt that way too - Not because I didn't wish my friend well but because of how emotionally it effected me.. So don't think low or bad of yoruself..

I really hope everything goes well with you and hope you get a good news.
