Thanks!!!!

I got a call from the Dr today (since I didnt see one yesterday), she still wants me on partial pelvic rest just in case since I can still pass the other sac. I have been released to walk on the treadmill at med pace and do some yard work, but still no sex!!! The good news is I am aloud to have big O's now!!! Whoohoo!!! :P I am a little worried since I talked to her because I just didnt think I would pass anything this late, but she said there is still a possibility. Great :(

So the cats out of the bag at work and I made some calls last night and sent some e-mails today. Now I feel like I am on pins and needles. I am having anxiety that something is going to happen since we're telling people now, like I am jinxing us.

Dh has been on my case like crazy because I am not eating meat. He was furious when he found out I only had mac n cheese for dinner last night. Thats going to get old!!!

Where is the world is everyone?????

Hey Dakota

Don't panic over telling everyone but I do understand how you feel. Now this is when you can have fun with telling everyone. One of my friends told me something a couple of weeks ago when I was freaking out about telling people. She said, "The more people you tell, the more people that are praying for you". I don't know why but that gave me some peace.

We had told all of our immediate family except for my brother who lives in Washington but I did finally tell him yesterday and it is was cool because I am due on his birthday.

Sorry I haven't been around much but working the 4 10's is really taking a toll on me during the week and of course today is my day off and I woke up at the same time I have to get up to go to work. Weird because I haven't been able to get up on time on the days I do have to go to work! I have been doing well, not tired all of the time anymore but still having a lot of crampy pain. I made it to 12 weeks today :D

I don't have another appointment until 9/5. I hate waiting 4 weeks between appointments.

I have been reading all the message and it sounds like everyone is doing well. Our group is really getting far along I can't believe some are getting close to the big u/s.

Everyone take care and have a great weekend.

Tara- I know exactly what you mean. Dh and I car pool and I am 5 mins late every day. Can't get out of bed, but every Sat & Sun I am wide awake and out of bed by 7am, like clockwork..without the alarm!! Its actually quite annoying.
I am still having lots of pin pokes, pulls, cramps and the such this week. Actuallly this week seems to be the most I have gotten so far. It gets pretty intense at night. For some reason when I get the pulling and stretching sensation in my uterus it makes my hips ache so I cant sleep on my side, which I am trying to train myself to sleep on my side. Not working out so much
4 weeks is horrible so us isnt it??? We got so used to weekly or b-weekly apts, now 4 weeks seems like forever!! Although this time around, my last apt was at 10.5 wks and I got the u/s at 12.5 weeks and my next apt is at 14.5 weeks since the u/s wasnt a Dr's apt exactly. My 14.5w apt is Sept 4th, so right when you go in. THEN I will have to go 4 full weeks. I really hope that I can find the HB soon on that doppler.
I am glad your feeling well and your family knows and everything is falling into place. Are you going to find out the gender? When does your office do that. Mine doesnt do it until 20 week :x

Sono- Thanks for stopping by and wishing us all well. You are just around the corner from your 2nd tri!!!

Dakota - Too cute on the thumb sucker, I cannot wait for our 12 week u/s next Monday!! :) Have you had any luck with the doppler? I think I've decided against getting one and will just try my best to wait every 4 weeks for my appt. I luckily don't have to wait 4 weeks until my 4th month, so hopefully sometime after that I'll be able to feel this little peanut moving around :) Oh yeah, on the 2nd sac issue. My 2nd sac is also still visible, but doc hasn't restrained us from anything. They're giving me a 50/50 chance on passing it or re-obsorbing, but say my body is going to do what it wants, so no restrictions. Sorry you're still having to hold out on sex, but good news on the big "O" :)

Tarabeltwo - Don't you just love how are bodies do not cooperate with us on the waking up thing! I have the same issue of not being able to get up to go to work, but my body is wide awake on the weekends. Congrats on the 12 week mark, that's excellent!!

I have my last RE u/s next Monday, so I'm very excited to see little peanut again. We will also go in on Tuesday for the 1st trimester screening u/s, so 2 in a row :) I then only have to wait 2 weeks after that for my next OB appt, so I'll be spoiled for a little while longer. After that, we're down to the every 4 week appt :( All is well, feeling pretty good, not quite as tired all of the time, but actually talking about it is making me want to take a nap right now. Still think meat sounds disgusting, but other than that trying my best to eat a little healthier. I totally forgot to mention it, but last week I gave myself a pretty nasty burn on my belly with the iron. My tanks don't fit quite the same and didn't realize my belly was sticking out that much more and ran the iron right next to it!! Hurt like a beeyach and DH griped at me for abusing our child :) Told him there's quite a bit of fat between me and peanut and the only one suffering is me! Anyhoo, the burn mark is almost gone and I'll try to be a little more careful from now on. Well guess I've rambled enough for now, hope everyone is doing great!!

Hi Mommas!!
Sorry I have been MIA. I have been going through some stuff and feeling overwhelmed. Dh and I have decided to close our store, it is a pet boutique in Santa Monica. The economy is killing us and my overhead is going to get worse with bed rest and maternity leave. There are many other factors but the end result is shutting down. I have been open 3.5 years and poured my heart and soul into this place so it is a tough pill to swallow. I do believe things happen for a reason and good will come out of this. It will be nice not to wake up in a panic at 3 am and lay awake wondering how to make it all work.

I just caught up on a bunch of pages and am so happy to hear everyone doing well.

Dakota - Congrats on you U/S. Sounds so cute. I am glad you don't have to worry, for a while anyway. DH and I are sparse on sex too. We are both nervous to do it because I still get cramping after the big o. I know it is common but it just doesn't feel right. Dh is being so good about it. I think he is really worried about it.

Angram - I am coming up on my next u/s after waiting 4 weeks! It sucks. I have terrible feelings like something is wrong. Man, it is hard to stay sane in all this.

Unexplained - I too have been a zombie. I don't have be at the store till 11. I get up about 7 ish and have to take a nap before I leave! I will say the past two days has been better. We'll see if it sticks.

I am counting down the days until my next u/s on Wednesday. I will be 16 wks 5 days, maybe we'll see some gender action!!

Promise I'll check back more often. Take care girls.

Hello Ladies,

I hope everyone is well!

Dakota, I'm so happy you had such an exciting u/s! That's great your baby was sucking his/her thumb..that has to be the cutest most heart warming thing ever!! Also glad you got a chance to find out where to put the doppler...hopefully you will have more success with it this time!

Rubylee, Sorry to hear about you closing your store. I know that has to be hard for you, but think of it and a foot forward to something more wonderful and exciting. G/L with your u/s you should probably be able to see the sex of the baby...hopefully you get some neat pics!

Angram, lucky you with the back to back u/s that must be nice! And congrats on your graduation from the RE! The burn story is both sad and funny...bad because you're in pain, but funny because you actually forgot about your bump! Your DH is cute...making sure you don't hurt his little bean...how sweet! Be careful...lol you bump is only going to get bigger so soon enough you won't be able to think of anything else but your bulging stomach!

Tarabel...sorry to hear about your cramping, your baby is growing fast and he/she needs room! Good to hear you're not as tired..I wish I could say the same for myself...all I think about it sleep. You u/s is one day after mine..I agree with the wait...it's killing me...only because I'm dying to find out what I'm having. Hopefully if you've decided to find out the sex you'll be able to on your next u/s appt. congrats on making 12 wks!

Sorry for missing anyone...I just wanted to stop by and say heelo and wish eeryone loads of PMA!

I'm doing well for all concerned! Just taking it one day at a time...still going to the bathroom like crazy which bugs me because I have a huge problem with using the public restroom! Anyway..nothing new until my next u/s 9/4....so I'll be sure to stop by from time to time and I'll update if anything new happens!

Rubylee- so sorry to hear about your store. But it is true, you need to take it easy now, and not stress out about the economy.

Dakota- thumb sucker you say! it is SO CUTE! I can wait for my next U/s which will be in 5-6 weeks!!! (at week 19-20) Unless I fake some bleeding tihs time.

Babysoft- sorry about your bathroom problems. I hear u on using public bathrooms. I am very peculiar which toilet I will use and which not and I am runnignn aorund between different floors to find "the perfect" one:).

Anagram- ouch with the iron! be careful. Yeah, our bellies are not the same anymore

We had a dept picnic today and finally FINALLY people starting noticing my belly and are not hesitant to congratulate or ask about the due date. Before they were not sure if I am preggo or just got fat. But yeah, I am showing, plus I wear maternity clothes now all the time so it is even more obvious. It feels great to be pregnant (except for the tiredness that does not go away!)! I love it! And my flat boobs are getting bigger too! Yay!

Angram- take care of that belly!!! I am sure taht hurt, I've been burned my the iron many times and just the littlest dot can be painfull.
As far as the sac, at first the contents were shrinking pretty fast, then it slowed down. At my 10.5 week u/s the baby was still measuring around 7 weeks, so it was about an inch long. I dont know if that has anything to do with it or not? I really hope that my body just absorbs everything, I dont want anymore drama. I wish things can just go really smooth my reamainder 6 months.
Oh my, yes, I cant wait to start feeling little one in there swimming around. I have my next OB visit in 1w4d at 14.5 weeks, so I am hoping inbetween my 14.5w visit and my 18.5 week visit little one wil get busy enough where I can feel the action. Although I am think about paying the $79 to go in at 16 weeks to get the gender screening early, otherwise I have to wait until 20 weeks.

Ruby, I am so sorry to hear about your store. That had to have been a rough decision, but you'll feel real goos about it soon and once the little ones get here you'll wont even have time to think about ever having a store.
Yeah...over 16 weeks!!! Are you going to find out the gender of the twins? If so, when does your office do that?

Babysoft- Hang in there, 1w4d to go!! That is when my next OB visit is. The u/s tech told me make sure if the Dr cant find the HB that day I dont leave without an u/s, as I hear it is still common for the Dr not to be able to find the HB at 14.5 weeks.

Unexplained-Yeah for the bb's :P How exciting to get to go on a big picnic and get attention like that.

I had the WEIRDEST thing happen this morning. I've been pretty gassey since last night and I was laying on my back on the couch this morning having gas issues and I felt something weird in my lower belly so I out my hand there and I had a hard knot the size of an orange moving accross my lower belly and it dissappeared!! Of course I freaked out at first then tried to calm myself down that is was probally just a gas pocket and since my intestines are moving and shifting. Either way, I am going to tell the Dr about it. It was really weird!!

I havent tried the doppler again after my u/s on Thur last week. I've been pretty busy and I wanted to be able to have the time to spend a while searching. I am going to do that later this afternoon. I'll let ya'll know how it goes.

Anyone find that they have to look at their u/s picture ALL the time?? The latest one where I can see little ones eyes, ears, nose, lips and has its thumb sucking, we were out running around all day long yesterday and I wanted to see that picture so bad. I missed it!! Is that really weird?

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their weekend.

HI All

Kind of quiet for a Monday. Hope everyone is ok.

I have to tell you my story from yesterday. I got the worst heartburn/indigestion yesterday afternoon. I have been dealing with heartburn since week 7 but yesterday was so bad. Tums did not even touch it. I did everything I could think of to get rid of it and nothing was working. My chest felt like it was on fire and had a huge bubble sitting in there. Finally about 9:30 last night I sent DH to get me some Pepcid which I ended up taking twice. Now this morning my chest and stomach feel so sore and kind of tender.

I knew heartburn would be in the cards for me. My mom had terrible heartburn while she was pregnant with me and I tend to do everything the exact same way she did. I just didn't realize how bad it could be.

The scary part for me is I was feeling so crappy while I was trying to sleep that I start to have nightmares about losing the baby. Talk about having a restless night.

Has anyone else had to deal with this? I sure hope not. This could get interesting over the next 6 months!!!!
Have a good Monday all.

Tarabel-Sorry you have such bad heartburn. Does it matter what you are eating in your diet, or have you noticed it with all foods? I got lucky and have not had this, but did have the horrible constipation starting out. I'm fine now, and mostly back to normal. Could you ask your OB if they recommend anything else?

Dakota-I know all will be great with your little one growing. Keep up your PMA! I do look at my u/s pictures a lot because we have to wait from 12 wks to 20 wks to get pics again. I do talk to it, and believe we have started to feel a little tiny bit of movement near bedtime. We'll see when its obvious though as I don't know what to expect.

Rubylee-Sorry about your store situation. Maybe this is another stage in life where you pour your heart & soul into your family life now. Who knows, possibly in the future you may find that there is another oppty to do it again! Your kids will love the story!

Angram-how was the u/s?

Tara, I am so sorry you had such horrible hearburn. My book says when you start getting it that bad to start keeping a log of what you eat and what makes it that bad so you can narrow it down. I know the other day I had about 4 oz of OJ and the heartburn was horrible!! I even started getting reflux. YUK
I havent hit the nightmares yet, but I hear they are very common and normal. Although last night I did have a dream that I woke up bleeding.

It is VERy quite today. Where is everyone?

Well, I tried the doppler last night and found the HB right away in the same spot that the tech found it. Right below my belly button, about 1/4 inch. It seemed a little weird because it doesnt sound the same as the vaginal u/s. Because of this I didnt know if I was listening to the HB or the blood flow, so I found my HB and it sounded the same, just alot slower. It is a very low muffled sound compared to the loud heard of bufflo you hear with the vaginal u/s.

Well, my In-laws should get their card today or tomorrow!! My MIL may pass out!!!

I hope everyone is feeling well. Anyone having anything different going on as time goes on? I've noticed that I have alot more energy, but I still crash pretty fast. Most of my energy is in the morning, once 1pm gets here it really starts to slack off. The cramping has slowed down some, it was pretty intense last week, but I am still getting some very mild like cramps now. AND the break outs are catching up with me. Not on my face, but my back and chest. One more thing, sorry TMI, the areola on my bb's is really swollen and thick, like someone has stuffed cotton balls just under that part. I find that a little weird.
Anyway, just thought to compare stuff...

That's great you found the HB Dakota. You should have much more piece of mind in the coming weeks.

Yes, my boobs are once AGAIN growing, the areolas are getting wider for me, and nipples are again very tender. I've already gone up one cup size, and only purchased one C bra. Possibly I'd be a D by the time this is all over? Its just so hard to imagine!

I go about 3-4 days, then I get stretched out again either with uterine cramps, or now what I believe is round ligament pain. My belly is growing, and we think we are starting to feel the little one moving. We will wait to confirm though. Everything is moving out away from my body. I got the chest/back acne right away, but now its really gone away and I don't have the oily skin there that accompanied it. All is pretty much feeling better, and I certainly have more energy!

I'm not horribly hungry every 2-3 hrs anymore, nor do I need constant fluid. This change is so interesting I couldn't ask for anything more!
