jomae: teeth already!? I mean I know mine will get teeth later most likely being preemie but that is a lot of teeth for your little one!

So I want to know what your kids are doing. Sitting? Holding their bottle? Rolling? etc etc. I think it is always interesting to know what differences little ones are doing. Mine are sitting up (They still fall backwards at times), holding a sippy cup but not sipping from it, screaming (like talking screaming if that makes sense), laughing at the dogs when they walk by, touching our faces and grabbing onto out lips (ouch!), picking things up off the floor to play with, putting EVERYTHING in their mouth, feeding themselves their teethe biscuits, holding spoons and flicking food everywhere, blowing spit bubbles, bouncing up and down when you hold them standing up, Brooke is trying to move when on her tummy, playing with their feet and sticking them in their mouths, etc etc....I can not wait for crawling!!!

Tina- we are going to the mall tomorrow to see the easter bunny. We saw the easter bunny at a brunch this weekend, but I couldn't get a good pic, so we need to go get one from the mall, for the baby book.

suga- sounds like your girls do alot! Ella is 7 months and 1 week and I think she started some stuff early, but might be behind in others. She also laughs at the animals when they walk by, grabs faces/lips and hair, rolls over both ways, can sit up if propped, but still falls over. She will also try to move when on her tummy, but not crawling yet. She tries to put a lot in her mouth, but can't always do it. I am trying to get her to hold her bottle, but she won't do that either. She does scream/screech talk, so it does make sense, I know exactly what you are talking about! She will try to grab the puffs cereal and get it in her mouth, but misses...where do you get the teething biscuits? I have looked and can not find them, what are they called? Ella loves her feet, is fascinated by them, she will grab them and also puts them in her mouth, bare and with clothes covering them. She will pull off socks and shoes if they are able to be pulled off, she prefers to be bare foot. She makes raspberries and spit bubbles all the time and loves to bounce when I stand her up on my lap (I think that is from using the baby einstein bouncer alot, the same one I think you have). It is funny when I change her diaper, she kinda holds her legs back like she is helping me. She is mesmerized by jewelry, my rings, earrings, necklaces, anything that sparkles (a typical girl I guess, my stepfather jokes that it is in our blood!) I guess that is all I can think of for now, I think a lot of milestones are right around t he corner. I think she is saying mama, she says it all the time, but I am not sure it is on purpose. Today she was trying to get my attention though and I heard it, so we will see if it repeats in the next couple of days.

suga- what do you put in a sippy cup? I have not tried that with ella yet. Do you give them water or juice? I thought no juice until 12 months? You also said they hold spoons and flick food everywhere, do they feed themselves? Or do you just give them a spoon to play with? Just curious as I think Ella is getting close to this stuff too.

Also, anyone considering getting the girls ears pierced? My office said I can do it at anytime, I guess they numb their ears like an hour before they do it and say they don;t feel a thing, I just don't know how I feel about it, curious to hear other opinions.

Michele: I put water in their sippy cup. I thought you could give them diluted juice at 6 mo. However, I probably will never do a lot of juice because of all the sugar it has in it. Sure I will dilute it and whatnot but juice really is not that healthy for you. But they do not know how to suck out of it yet. Also they will hold their bottle but not suck...Mine are the same way with the diaper changing! Too cute!! Also they love my wedding ring and try to eat it haha! Yup we have the same jumper. Also, I just give them a spoon to play with. Last night I put a little food on it, it made it to their mouth then they looked at it like "What the heck?!" then flung the spoon back and forth. Good thing the dogs know how to clean up!

As far as ears I want them done soooo bad! I think I will do it this weekend when my mom comes into town. My husband wants me to get them done so they can remember a bonding moment with mom? I looked at him like he is crazy because pain is something you do not want to remember!!! So I am trying to talk him into it still!

Hey girls,

Well, I finally took Ella to the mall to get some professional pictures done, and they came out great! I am so happy I finally did it. It was a lot of work though, she was really cranky at first, so we had to take a break to feed her, and then she wouldn't stop crying, so we left the place and let her take a quick nap in the stroller. When we went back in a half an hour, she was all smiles! We also saw the easter bunny and that pic came out good too. I posted them to her website and I will get them up on photobucket too.

Michele: I looked at the pictures! TOO cute! However, the first Easter Bunny looked scary! That would scare the crap out of me!!!

So the girls are having a therapist come and look at them. They are going to be evaluated to see if they need anything. I do not think they do but they want to check anyways. They asked a ton of questions on the phone and said that they sounded right on track. So hopefully we get an A on the eval. and do not need to meet with them again! We shall see!

Daddy woke Kenzie up at 4AM and she was up until 5:30! Then as I was drifting back to sleep Brooke woke up at 6 wanting to go back onto her back. UGH! She REALLY needs to learn to get back onto her back!!

I feel ya suga. Parker rolls over on to his back at night and starts screeming. During the day he rolls everywhere all over the house--even the tile floors. But during his sleep it scares the crap out of him. Parker rolls and scoots. He got up on his knees at the end of last week and rocks. So any day he will figure out the crawling thing. I give him diluted Juice and I am about to start him on the dissolveable snack things. He is doing really good sitting up. THat is my focus this week. He has a cold so he is not in the best mood. No teeth yet but he will try and get everything into his mouth he come in contact with. I have been bringing him to the gym in the morning the last two days and he has done really well in the kids room. He loves to jump more then anything--he gets mad in his activity center b/c he tries to jump and it doesnt do that.

CT good luck with stims. We are all rootin for ya.

I completly forgot about the Easter bunny being at the mall. Maybe ill go tomorrow. Its just so darn expensive for one darn picture.

Our babys are getting sooo big. my my time flys!!

Tina- noah is a cutie! Nice pics! I like the one of him smiling on his belly, I try to get a pic of ella like that and she always comes out looking drunk!

katie- I hear ya about the mall pics being so expensive! They charge that much because they know moms like us will pay it. I have to if I want one for the baby book. I paid $19.99 for 2 5x7's. The cheapest package was $14.99 for a 3x5 and 2 keychains, but I would rather have the bigger picture for better scanning quality, so I did that instead. Sounds like parker would really like the jumper that suga and I have. I know it is a big pricey when you already have an activity center, but ella loves hers. She really got into in at about parkers age and still uses it everyday. I think she will continue to use it for a long time, probably atleast a year. I think at babies r us it is like $90, but I saw it at sam's club for around $60. It is called the baby einstein musical motion activity jumper. Just wanted to pass that along.

So Ella has gotten "Mama" down like a professional. I still don't think she is referring to me, but we are counting it as her first word, that's all she says now...ma ma ma...and of course does her ear shrilling screech talking in between! That is so loud...suga...are yours that loud when they do that? She really has some lungs on her, she is not upset, I think she just likes to hear herself!

Well it's official ladies, I start this journey again on friday. I took my last bcp on monday night and got the all clear from u/s and bw yesterday. We are going today for a refreshing course on injections since it has been a while and that stuff makes me nervous. But just 2 days and I will be stimming again. I can't believe it. I am not looking forward to feeling crummy again, during stims or pregnancy, but after having Ella, I know it will all be worth it in the end. Thank you for all the support and I will keep you all updated. My beta test will probably be a couple days before mother's day!

We just got back after a 28 hour trip - yuck! I will catch up later but Ihave a big question...
Bean is 6 months now so I need to start solids, he refuses to eat the rice cereal even with bmilk, will not take a bottle. Will not have formula or even fresh bmilk from a bottle just very little on sippy cup. He was being fed bmilk only and since it was so hot in Brazil I had to feed him every 2 or 3 hours since he was sweating so much. Now he needs to go back to grandmas in the am and starts daycare in May and I am desperate trying to figure out what to give him for food for the 4 to 6 hours I am away from him...
Thanks for the help!!!

Rio - So sorry - I don't know what to tell you! Noah eats anything you put near him. Have you asked your pediatrician? I would just keep trying the solids....have you tried fruits and veges yet?

Michele - I saw your question on the sippy cup. I read to start at 6 mos and I just give it to Noah to play with evey now and then and he just drinks water from it...just a little. He got the swing of it really quick. He can even kind of hold it up...though he has not begun holding the bottle. He just seemed to get the sippy cup a little better for some odd reason.

Do any of your babies have excema? Noah's skin is so dry and has red patches all ovet it.

Noah is ALL ABOUT his walker. Has anyone been using one? He loves it!

CT good Luck!!!

Rio- welcome back! I know he's only b-fed right now, but has your dh tried to give him a bottle when you are not around? seems like if there were no other choice, he'd eventually get hungry enough to attempt a bottle - with you there, I think he wonders why not just go from the source?
Pulman has been eating oatmeal since 4mos and veggies and fruit for about 2 or so weeks now- i mix them together and for the most part he likes it- squash, carrots, peas, applesauce, pears, sweet potatoes so far...
i ran out of oatmeal and we tried rice cereal - he hated it- the consistency was that of wallpaper paste- no wonder he didn't like it.
my 2 cents- let dh or grandma try a bottle/sippy with bmilk while you are out of the house- go on a quick errand so he doesn't even sense you are at home- if it doesn't work out, you can come back and bfeed him if necessary.
turns out babies have a pretty good sense about how not to go hungry!
good luck!!!!

Gecko- where are you???
Tina- nice little Noah!

oh- and pretty sure Pulman said his 1st word - "CAT" he was petting the new kitty and said cat! clear as day- my mom was here to confirm i, even

okey dokey - have a great day- dh's bday is tomorrow

Ok seriously, kids in walkers, talking real words?! SHEESH!

Rio: When he gets hungry he will eat. I agree that if it is you trying to give him a bottle he will get mad and not want it since he knows the milk is RIGHT there. He can smell it on you. Also with BFed babies it sometimes takes them longer to eat solids. Mine HATE cereal from the spoon. HATE it. They will eat fruits and veggies like champs though. I am going to try some Cream of Wheat here soon to see if they will like that...I need something for breakfast to give them.

So Mackenzie is refusing to eat. I think it is teething? She does not want a bottle or solids. When she is famished she will finally take a bottle but gosh! So of course I am worried she will get dehydrated. UGH.

Brooke, not matter what time I put her to bed, wants to wake up at 6AM. So she is an 11 hour sleeper. So I am giving in and starting their day at 6AM. It is just hard because I need to get Mackenzie on this schedule as well. Mackenzie is my sleeper.

Anywhoo, I need to get some work done around the house.
