kbear - my guy favors one hand then the other and it has been changing, I am sure everything is fine. She is very tall! Maybe a super model?

CT- wow for number of follies! Good job- lots of baby dust! DH and I are trying to figure out when to go through IVF again. How are you feeling with stimms and a baby?

Suga- sorry about the colds, yuck!

Dont' forget to burp your babies after the sippy cup! I had given some formula to my guy on a sippy cup and he only had a little bit, he started crying and screaming and I had no idea why, finally after 10 mins out comes this huge burp. I guess they are not used to controling flow.

Did your babies have a little diarrea when you were trying different foods? Mine went from pooping once a day on bmilk to 5 to 7 times a day, sometimes more water and some weird poop. But then he goes back to normal poop. Is it just his tummy getting used to it?

So I have to go and buy a new sippy cup. Mackenzie just drank hers then puked because it came out too fast... *sigh* I will try the Munchkin brand I suppose with the softer nipple.

The colds, yeah they are still here! They cough so hard they puke and today it went all over me, I mean, all over me to where I had to hop in the shower with the baby. Mackenzie is teething really bad I think. I mean she is keeping her hand in her mouth at all times, cranky, little feverish, and holy cow, there is just liquid coming out of her by the barrels! I mean so much drool I could keep a bucket under her! Poor thing! At least they are taking turns I suppose?

my daughter has the same cough and shes oler i did find that if you wait about 15 mins after tshe wakes and is sitting up for a bit and only five her small amounts of milk she dont puke it up as easily

Went to the Pedi yesterday and bean is 19 lbs (70%) and 28.5" (95%) and head size is 95%. Pedi said still no need for helmet since I sepnd my nights making him look right and not left so my persistance paid!!! Woooo-hoooo!!!! His head is getting round and no flat spot but pedi said I have to keep it up. While it is convinient for him to be in the bed with me right now so I can turn his head every so often (otherwise I would get no sleep going to his crib) plus our tempurepedit mattress is what is helping his head not mishape. So I am getting worried about how to transition him to his crib when danger of flat spots has gone...
Pedi said that colorful poopies and different consistencies are normal when trying different foods.

well Mr. Parker went to the doc on wednesday. He is 16.3 pounds(25%)
26.5" (25-50 %) and Head Circumference 17"(25-50 %) He didnt gain as much but I think its because he is so active. He is scooting/rolling all around. Going from the crawl position to sitting up. He see something and goes after it. He does really well holding his own bottle wich is a GREAT thing for mom . We took him to his first baseball game last night. It was really fun he did really good. He slept for a while there. Never cried. I was impressed b/c we didnt get home until like 11 and thats like 4 hours past his bed time.

Well I hope everyones doing well. Good luck with your follies CT. We are rootin for you! All of the babys (and MOMS) seem to be doing great.

Thanks for thinking about me girls.

My cycle is going very well, much better than last time. I had my final u/s and bw this morning and will trigger tomorrow night. DH should be having a fresh TESE done on Monday, retrieval will be tuesday and transfer on Friday. RE will call me later with dosage for tongiht and times for trigger and retrieval. I can not believe how many eggs I have in there right now. It looks like RE is expected around 20 mature eggs, there are probably about 30 follicles right now, but only about 20 big enough to suspect an egg. So I will definitely keep you all updated, it will be abusy week here.

katie- I am jealous your bean is holding his own bottle, I try to get Ella to do it, and she doesn't want to, and she is 7.5 months. I am glad you all had fun at the ball game last night.

rio- sounds like you got a healthy bean there too! I am glad you do not need the helmet, I am a little worried about Ella's head shape, but she will most likely have long hair and hopefully it won't be noticeable. The shape had gotten better over time, especially since she mostly sleeps on her tummy at night, but it is still slightly flat on one side, but pedi has not mentioned it the past couple times, so it must be fine.

Suga- I like the munchkin brand sippy, but Ella is still getting use to it, and water, it still makes her gag. I need to be more diligent about giving it to her everyday, and she will get use to it. So sorry to hear about the colds, I can't imagine one sick child, let alone two. God bless you!

Ella is doing great, a very happy baby. She had to miss swimming again this morning, I thought I would be able to get in the pool, but RE said no due to possibility of infection. I couldn't find someone last minute to swim for me. But my mom said she will do it next week and my brother or sister in law will do it the week after. The swimming lessons turned out to be very bad timing, since I had the polyp removal and the ivf, makes it where I can not swim, but I think I will sign her up for the summer ones, which I should be able to go to.

kbear - I have never heard that an early hand preference was a symptom of something. DH has concluded that our DD is right-handed already. Maybe calling your regular pedi would make you feel better? Sorry about that dr. Yes, you're right. Some of them aren't completely self-aware.

CT_Michele - Wow! 22 follicles! I'm impressed. I'm glad your cycle is going well. Are you finding yourself less engaged in the process this time? I was just obsessed last time and totally on top of every little thing but this time it's like IVF isn't my life. My life is going on and IVF is just one piece of it. I am glad for this but I also keep forgetting little things. I'm going to have to really be diligent to make sure I stay on top of everything! I really need a personal assistant to get me through this!

Rio - Good mommy-work on the head issue!

Suga - Hope your sweeties are feeling better soon! And, I hope you don't have any more puke-removal showers!

Gecko - Wow! Big baby!

Evie had her 6 month check up and shots last week. She's 75th%ile for height and head circumference and just under 50th%ile for weight (26 1/2 inches long and 15 pounds 8 ounces).

She is sitting up a little but topples over pretty quickly. I'm working on it with her but she wants to stand! When I try to pull her to sitting she digs her heels in and pops her little butt in the air! Dr. said she has strong legs and often babies w/strong legs do this instead of wanting to sit. Well, I've been trying to tempt her into sitting more w/interesting toys and such. She's doing better.

Got my results from Dr. S. AMH was 0.69 (actually a bit higher than last time due to random fluctuations they say), FSH was borderline at 10.8 (my second highest ever). I asked the nurse to ask if he would change my odds based on the bloodwork. I hope not. Actually, this doesn't look much different than just before I got pregnant with Evie so hopefully my odds are still good.

I'm nervous about what's to come. Last time the stim process was so stressful b/c I just didn't respond to the meds. But, of course, the end result was wonderful. ATM, I'm waiting for my next cycle to start so I can start on estrogen for several weeks. Should start around the end of April.

mellie- I am finding myself still very caught up in the whole process this time. I actually find that I am overanalyzing everything, because I know so much more about it this time, where last time, I just had to trust RE, which I still do, but I know what to look and listen for to analyze how well I am doing. I am even prepared this time, I did a bulk order of hpt's online! I spent so much last time running to the pharmacy, I figured I should save the gas and some cash and just plan ahead. Besides for ordering the same tests I used last time (first response), I also got some other that claim to read a positive at a lower hcg number.

One thing is different though. Last time, as beta got closer and hpt's were still negative, I was becoming devastated very quickly. If I had gotten a bfn last time, I don't think I would have handeled it well at all, and would probably have been more depressed than I would have anticipated. As bad as I want it to work this time, I don't think I will be nearly as devastated. Don't get me wrong, I will be very sad, but I think the blow will be lessened knowing that I have already been blessed with Ella. I will keep trying for a sibling, but if it is in my cards to just have one, I couldn't be any happier with my beautiful daughter than I am right now. I hope all of that makes sense and doesn't sound bad...

Mellie- So are you expected an actual transfer sometime in May or June??

So I will update you all soon, dh has his TESE tomorrow at 10:30 and I trigger tonight at 11pm for ER Tuesday at 11am. ET will be Friday...so I will take all the baby dust I can get!

Pulman is doing well- happy- his 6 month will be next week or so- so all i know right now is that he's too heavy for the kitchen scale anymore, but i suspect he's still on the tiny side-(95th percentile for smallness- no doubt!!!) but he's strong and chatty and alert and almost standing on his own

glad to hear everyone seems well- more when i get a moment- coming up on reviews @ uni for me- so super busy in the studio

Hey girls...just wanted to pop in quick and let you know that they got 12 eggs at ER this morning. Now we just have to pray they find atleast 12 sperm from dh's tese yesterday (or the frozen vial) to fertilize them all. I will keep you all updated, looks like ET on friday, hopefully I will geta phone call this afternoon about the sperm situation.

Michele! Yay! Go girl! I hope it all works out for you!!!!!!

Question for those with older babies on here, mine are trying to go to 2 naps a day....it is sad. But the question. Brooke struggles to stay asleep more than an hour! I thought most babies needed at least an hour and a half nap. Mackenzie takes full 2 hour naps.

Also, since I have had to thicken their feeds on the bottle, it just seems that the liquid in the sippie cup is just so thin they choke on it! Do your babies do the same??

Gecko - enjoying the weather?

I am still not sure when to go for #2... I am still bfeeding and I really enjoy being able to do so for him. I might wait until Fall when he is more established on solids and hopefully formula too. He is scheduled for daycare on May 1st.

Anyone's baby having major stranger anxiety also?

Rio: Mine have HORRIBLE stranger anxiety. It is mainly because we did not go out of the house during cold/flu season due to their prematurity and RSV. Now I go out a lot. Mackenzie is better than Brooke but if I leave their sight, oh boy, melt down! However, I was a preschool teacher and worked in a daycare during college. They get over it pretty quickly! The trick is, say your goodbye. Do not linger there. It makes it worse. But say goodbye the same way each time and remind them you will pick them up later (yes babies need routing as well as we all know!)

CT - awesome number of eggs, I am wishing great fertilization numbers for you.

RIO - Katie has always been so laid back she was not bothered to go to anyone, but this weekend my brother got married. My other brother and his family were in from California. When I went to hand Katie to my sister-in-law, she got this look of terror. We faced her towards us and she was okay, so I think we are at the beginning of separation anxiety phase.

Suga - I hope the girl's colds are doing better. When I got to daycare a week ago Monday, a little girl came in and her mother said she had a horrible cough. I was like, oh no, not again. Lo and behold, on Saturday, Katie started coughing. I can't believe what came out of her nose today. She is doing better than yesterday, though, so that is good. I have had her w/ my m-in-law and sister-in-law the last couple days. Luckily, they can help in a pinch.

Katie has started playing big time, and grabbing w/both hands. She hates lying back anymore, she always wants to be sitting up, even in her carseat. I tell her she can't sit up, she is strapped in, but she still tries. She sits on the couch great and balances w/ her hands most of the time if she tips. I think she will be sitting on her own anytime now.

CT- Loads of baby dust to you! You have living proof that it works, so keep the faith. How many will you transfer?

Suga - I don't know what to tell you about napping. Declan has never been a good napper. He sleeps for about 30-45 minutes two or three times during the day and once in a while will take an hour and a half nap. He does, however, sleep for 11 hours without waking at night. I would rather have the uninterruped nights than the time during the day so I don't push it with him.

Loopie - I am glad Pulman is doing well. Hope the studio mellows out for you.

Mellie - Good luck with your upcoming cycle. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Katie - I wish Declan would hold his own bottle! He is a little lazy that way. Way to go Parker - hanging out for his first game! We are planning to take Dek one of these days but I have been nervous because he goes to bed between 6:30 and 7pm and I'm not sure how he will do staying up way late. I guess I just have to try it.

Rio - Oh my goodness! It was 98 degrees in Redwood City yesterday! Woof....I could barely stand it. We are finally putting in central air this year. It should be done in a few weeks so hopefully this is the last heat wave that we have to endure. It was really hard on the baby since his room is upstairs and was REALLY hot. He won't sleep anywhere else but his crib so it was just awful for him. Glad it is almost done. Glad your bean doesn't need a helmet. I have friends whose son has to wear it for the next year due to a flat head. Sounds like your baby is doing great.

We have been doing great. Declan (and DH and I) are finally over all our colds. We were sick from the beginning of Feb. to mid April. Declan finally shook his ear infection too. He is eating solids and sitting up on his own and loves to paw though his toy box. As for food, I tried to give him ground up zuchinni but he didn't like the texture. We are trying cottage cheese today. I started him on the beechnut chicken too. He likes most things. Just to clarify the egg thing - my doctor said to give him the cooked yolk ONLY. Apparently the egg white is where all the allergies come from. I haven't tried it yet though. I am trying to introduce one new food every week or two. He isn't crawling or standing yet but I have a feeling it is coming soon. I started baby proofing the house this week and will slowly work on it this summer. I think I am one of those overly protective moms but oh well.

DH has been working a lot and Dek and I have established a routine for ourselves when dad is gone. It works pretty well and I am very confident that I can do it all by myself this summer when DH is off to all the fires. He is often gone for weeks at a time and I have been nervous about doing it alone.
