Wahouuu so many messages since my last one (which was my first message), I have to catch up..This is it, I had my period today and will start my BCP pill on day 3...a new great cycle is starting... I just wanted to say to all of us who feels down, negatives and tired of all the BS, lets try to move on and be positive. This is why I put my name as "positive thinking" so even if I have the tendency to feel so sorry for mysef and my infertility problems, crying for 3 years.... 2010 is a new year where I will be positive. I will give IVF a chance and if it does not work, I will move on with adoption... so many children from so many countries I looking for to be adopted, well nourished and happy...
This is a pep talk for myself and for whomever wants to listen...If I think positive, write and talk positive, hopefully one day my attitude and my heart will follow as well.
Since this is my first forum experience, I would love to know what all the acronym you girls are using means because I get a little lost in the messages (SnS??, DD (designated driver...I did not think so..), and others...) :D I hope I dont sound sooo stupid...Ok... I am excited and I will definatetly try to catch up...At least I have time, I got laid off the first monday of the year....It was really for the best..hated the company...

Hey ladies, a quick update from my blackberry. Just left fron SnS. 5 follies on the right, not very big, but 6 on the left. The tech said my left is my dominant side it looks like. I was praying I would be about even on each side with similar growth. We will see what the change me too for now. They even said my lining wasn't very thick. I'm trying not to get discouraged, I've only been stimming for 4 days. I will update again and do persomals this evening. Have a wonderful day

hms - Sorry for being such a b**** !!!! Sometimes I get overly sensitive about things. alot of people in my life don't understand what I'm going through, they think they know but they really don't. I'm sorry that you have had a rough time financially and hope this will be your diamond in the rough so to speak :D I've just given up everything for IVF and want to feel happy again. After this cycle I think I will have to take a break, mentally I'm drained. I was soooo happy the last time I was preggo, I felt as if I won the lottery. That is how it felt, if you asked me if I wanted a baby or a million $, I would have said a baby. Then it was ripped away from me to soon.

Do you go to ER soon ? I wish you tons of follie dust !!!!!! :D :D Once again sorry for being soooo overly sensitive. Sometimes people tell you how you should feel and they don't get it but I know you do. I wish you didn't understand my pain and I'll say a prayer for you. :D :D :D :D

Good Morning Ladies-

Riley & Baby hopes-CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR YOUR ER RESULTS!!! Get some good rest today and drink, drink, drink!!! My OHSS didn't show it's ugly head till the day after my ER so just try and be preventative!!! Riley-you may have a record if you have over 30 eggs retrieved!!!

positivethinking-YAH for AF!!! What is your schedule now that you will start BCP's? That is a great thought about adoption....even before IVF came into my life I always said to my DH that I would love to eventually adopt from another country (I always thought I would have a kid by now though also!!)

rlk1-I don't think your cold will affect your ET on Friday especially since you have a couple of days to kick it from your system! I would tell your RE JUST to be on the safe side though to see what medicines you can take...fingers crossed

Latrell-I would definitely have your nurse show you how to mix and inject the medicine since that was my problem my first cycle....they never showed me how to mix/inject the HCG and I messed it up and had to cancel my cycle. Now they walk me through everything so it's dummy proof!!

Jenice-YAH for starting BCP!!! It's always so exciting to move on to the next stage in this journey and we all understand your need to vent and be sad/mad sometimes....I think we have all been there for variuos reasons and it's good to see you back in the game. I also went through a chemical last cycle with you and I know this cycle will be OUR time!!!!

Katie-thanks always for updating the chart...it's always so much fun to see who is cycling around you and when everyone is going in for ER/ET and Beta!!

Franny-Holy cow for your follies!!! I'm so happy that you are on the right track and that this type of approach is being successful for you!!! I hate when I miss their calls but they are usually good about answering my emails asap which I find is sometimes easiest to ask all my crazy questions!!

samgarkay-WOW!!! 14 follies in just 2 days?!?!? Let us know how your u/s went this morning...

hope-great graphics as always!! Glad to hear they got your BCP order straightened out:)

karenthescorpio-it looks like we are a couple days away from each other in our cycle!! Us Jersey girls have to stick together!!!

To all those I missed-thinking of you always.

AFM...tonight is my last BCP and then I go in Friday for my baseline and hopefully get the green light to begin my estrace!! No Lupron headaches just yet so I'm keeping my fingers crossed they stay away!!! If anyone has any old wives tales/medical advice on how to naturally thcken my lining that would be greatly appreciated!! I have never gotten my lining over a 7 and I really want to strive for an 8 this cycle to give me the optimum ability to help with implantation!

I know about Baby Aspriin and Pineapple Juice!!

Hey everyone! Good luck to the to lucky ladies having ER today! Quick update here as I have just left RE's office and I am on my iPhone. So today I saw my RE for the stir portion of my visit. She says things are moving fast so now she is increasing my Gonal-f because things dropped off a little. Said my little follies need a some extra food. I am to start doing ovulation prediction tests and Cetrotide tomorrow. She also said that I get to go in AGAIN tomorrow for another SnS!!!! I asked her why she doesn't like me,LOL! Her response was that frequent visits were the one disadvantage to moving quickly. That being said I am a little confused. I am moving quickly and yet we are increasing my dose because there was a little drop off??? Well, anyways, I am waiting for the message on how much meds for tonight, and an appt time for tomorrow am! I'll cartch up with the rest of you later today!

rlk - Whew-hew!!! Good luck on Friday! At our last IVF, I developed some weird 102 fever the night before the transfer. My fever was gone by the morning, and RE went through with the transfer, no problem. I bet they won't even blink about it. :D

misocial - My office just says to dial the Follistim for the amount you need and push until it stops. Then look at the pen to see how much you need to dial the next cartridge for. That way, you don't have to worry about how much is in each vial. Hope that helps!

merri_baby_dust - Welcome!! We have a DD from our first cycle, BFN on our 2nd, and this is our first FET.

karenthescorpio - Bring on the Lupron!!!
Me and DH - 37
TTC - 7 years, PCOS and 1 blocked tube
IVF #1 w/ICSI...DD born Oct. '08
IVF #2 w/ICSI...BFN
IVF #3 - FET....ectopic pregnancy

Thanks to all who said hello! Just a quick response to a few of you (there are so many!)

Positive
- Thank you, thank you, thank you. Needed an injection of gutting it out and deciding to think for the best. I am going to try to do some IVF meditation recordings that I bought a while back and buy a book on positive visualization.

gi - 7th try? My God, you are an expert at a tender age! You're right, we are really in the beginning stages of all of this, hearing stories like yours are inspiring.

beth84 - Good luck with the stimming. Get ready for crazy lady to make her appearance, right? If you're like me, the stimming part is one of my favourites (crazy right) because I finally feel like I am DOING something to move forward.

katie99 - Thank you so much for that round-up! Super helpful. I am going to try to keep up with all you brave ladies!

For us all - Came across this blog on IVF and infertility. This lady is hilarious and totally get it -- she's been through 4 IVF's and is now pregnant through surrogacy:

ASM --

BCP - started in late 12/09
Lupron & BabyAspirin- started on 01/11
Stims - starting on 01/18

No headaches or any other lupron symptoms, I tend not to feel bad until stims and progesterone (wicked, wicked drug).\

So that means Ashleyncsu77, Rlk1, Claudia, Jaydentd, Karenthescorpio, you are my cycle sisters!

In fact, Jaydentd and Karen, we all started Lupron on 01/11, so we should be very similar in our dates.

Sending happy vibes to all!

Hi Ladies... I have been MIA. It is just hard for me to follow the boards and be supportive. This is such a change from 2 yrs ago. When I first started the IVF process, I was on this site constantly, posting 4 to 5 times a day. I guess now posting is just a reminder of all my failures. I remember the first time I found this site. There was a lady on here that was on her 6th cycle. At that time I was thinking no way would I ever be able to do that. I would give up before cycle # 6. See where I am at now... Also at the same time I couldn't even fathom that almost 2 yrs later I would still be in the same boat, childless. O'well can't change things and all we can do is keep climbing that hill to hopefully getting to the goal of a BFP.

AFM - AF has finally left the building. If you can believe this, AF has been visiting for about 8 weeks. AF has been here ever since my last IVF BFN in Nov and she hasn't been nice. At times I felt like my whole uterus was falling out. I know DH will be happy that she has finally packed her bags and gone. Tomorrow I start follistim for an IUI. This will be such a different experience for me. I am used to doing IVF with tons of medications. Now i am just doing Follistim and then using Ovidrel as a trigger. No antibotics, estrogen suppositories, PIO etc. Though I am kind of worried because they aren't using lupron or ganirelix to suppress so I hope I don't O early. I plan on making up lost time since I was ragging so much and BD'ing as much as possible so if we do miss the O window, there will still be some swimmers up their to do their job.
Other then that, my sister has said she will be a donor for me. So now I am going through the process of doing all those steps. If IUI is a bust then hoping to do a donor cycle in March.

Good Luck to all and I will try to not be MIA for so long.

Oh and one questions.. what does SnS stand for? This is a new one for me and I am on lots of infertility boards.

Hey ladies,

flying visit only on to Vent!!!! So got a call from my doctory with results from the irregular lining of womb they removed in dec (they only ring if problems) and it seems i have some sort of a polyp which needs to be removed by my gynae before the 9th Feb (start stims) but when i rang my local hosp the receptionist said she cant say if it will be done in time!! So trying to get back onto my doctor (no ans. when you really want them!) to put urgent on it so girls I am now looking for a "no cancellation" dance. Changing clinics has brought to light a lot of problems that I have i really wish my last clinic picked up on this but sure cant turn back time.
Oh the joys of it all

Hi ladies -- Quick question - Would all mind posting the number of embryos you've had transferred, any time you got a BFP?? I'm just wondering.

gi - Used to live in Ireland. Gave up on the crazy process and moved to the States, so I know how frustrating that system can be!! Best of luck with the no cancellation dance and remember the squeaky wheel gets the consultants appt!

Thanks! Merri

Gi - Sooooo sorry about the polyp. I'm wiggling "doin the no cancel me" dance right now. Good thing you did switch clinics. Sounds like the other clinic was out to lunch  Keep the PMA,PMA,PMA !!!!! Just think your RE is trying to make your uterus all snuggly for the little ones to implant and stick like glue :D

Merri_baby_dust - I've transferred 2 embryos when I had a BFP. This next cycle I would like to transfer 3 embryos. Hoping it will increase my odds for me, I'm 37 years old so I figure need all the help I can get

holy moley girls! surely you are all typing in your sleep also! Whew! what will i have to do to keep up with you all? glue myself to the computer? at last count we are up to 39 girls here! Well, no wonder I'm having a hard time

rlk -How's the IM inj going? Are you doing a firm massage at the inj site afterwards? at least 10 minutes worth, and a heating pad after shot doesnt hurt either! Its almost friday! Are you getting excited yet?

Merri -Welcome! I know what you mean about finding it hard to build up PMA - me too! this will be my 3rd try (+3 cancelled cycles) We'll just hang in there! Thanks for making your schedule easier for me!
I've love to answer your question, but havent had a bfp yet - so hopefully in about a month or so....

Lou -Sorry that you've got to work 2 shifts on friday, hope that you're doing the happy dance through out both of them!

Hms -I'm DOR also. Look at it this way, 6 follies are 5 more than you need!

Babyhopes / Riley -cant wait to hear how your ERs went today!

Beth -I noticed that I bruised more one one side than the other, make sure that you're injecting at least 2" over and 2" down from your belly button - too close and theres a lot of tiny blood vessels in the way

Moorebaby - Ooops! sorry about that! thanks for letting me know!

Latrell - Have your nurse run you through the mixing & injection process - you dont want to to add unnessary stress or confusion. These meds need to be exact - it will go much smoother for you if you feel confident about it.

Msmac -11 is great! its very early in your stimming yet, your lining will catch up, you've got lots of time left!

Positive thinking - I'd be sooo lost if i didnt take notes while reading the posts! Who wouldnt be? this is such a busy group! If you go to the General forum- 3rd from the top is a list of abbreviations - a life saver when you're new!

Chris -Was wondering where you were! Missed you! AF for 8 weeks? UGH! bet that was a thrill a minute! SnS stands for stick and stir
thank J&C for that one! It means b/w & u/s - hee hee
As always, I'm pulling for this to be it - your golden ticket off of this crazy roller coaster! But if not, your sister is an angel in disguise! Good luck!

Gi -Oh, no! What if you asked your DR to call to get you in on time?
Sending you loads of NO CANCELLATION vibes! - xoxo

gi merry baby dust is most correct--- the squeaky wheel get the grease !!!!

Be loud oh squeaky wheel..... 2 calls in the am and 2 in the afternoon should do it. If not a nice trip to the doctors office in an anxious state 30 min to closing should finish it off.

Best of luck to you.

AFM- Am I crazy to think that I can with one finger point out my ovaries. I woke up pluffy ( puffy and fluffy ) this am and have one spot on either side that is tender. The tender spots are talking to me, thay like to be rubbed. Just curious
