Alright....I had to drift over from the other thread LOL

Has anyone seen Chriss? Mia? Hope? I'm pretty sure they came in here....but they were running pretty fast so I may have lost them LOL

Oh well, I heard that this thread was hopping.....so I'm going to act cool and try to blend in :)

As some of you know (and many of you won't) I've been on and off again about starting an IVF cycle soon. My husband was on board, then jumped ship, so I threw him a life-raft but then he wouldn't take it.....so I let him swim till he tired out and then dragged him back on board LOL

Joking aside....he was very very nervous about having a baby at this stage in our lives (I'm 33 and he's 36).

I started researching things and came across a study in my area (about 150 miles away) that I qualified for and it is really GREAT! They give you 1 fresh and 1 frozen cycle for the cost of the study, plus meds. I'm pretty sure that my RX plan pays for meds though....so that'll be nice.

We missed the initial meeting because my husbands feet were blocks of ice and we couldn't move him to the car....but the coordinator called me back today and scheduled me an appointment on the 6th of March to start!!!! I know it's only a few weeks away, but it seems like FOREVER!

AF is due this weekend, so of course I really really want to go have my diagnostics done now....like the 3 day test, etc. Has anyone called your regular Gynecologist and had them ran that way? If Monday is my 3rd day....maybe I could run in and have that one blood test ran so I'd know that I'm still under that FSH radar?

Well, again....glad to have found this board. I'm so overwhelmed by it all and to listen to you ladies talk about test, shots...etc it makes me know that it's not as bad as I'm imagining :) and that I can come here and ask questions, get support...etc :)

Oh and I forgot to mention....I donated eggs a few years back at a clinic, so I'm somewhat familiar with those shots. But after ER I was out of the picture so I'm clueless at that point on LOL I produced 11 eggs at that point....so I'm nervous since I've aged 9 years since then....will I produce 1/2 that many now :(

Well, thanks for the welcome and I hope to get to know many more of you...!!

Hi Indie!
Hope and I are on the chat right now!

I don't know anything bout IVF and your stims but does your doc have any worries that your # of eggies would be diminished? I'm sure you will have plenty :)

Oh yeh and by the way...this thread DOES ROCK :D

It's too long hun because of all ur other information u have, u may need to take some out if u want the ticker up (u know all the info that says how many tmt's u've had etc)

Hope that helps!

As for me ladies - nothing new, have stopped spotting now, just had a bit of a fright as that pain and spotting has never happened to me when i have ovulated before - someone asked if i was on bcp and maybe this was the reason - but i'm not on anything, i'm just waiting for AF to show up so i can get the ball rolling again - as for implantation Steph - i dont think its that lol, i have been steralized and with my endo, there is no way i can become pg naturally (shame tho!)

Rugby today ladies - we playing Italy - so i hope ur all rooting for Wales, and Steph (again) as for me being a 'hooker' on FB - hahahahaha - its a term for a player on the rugby team LOLOLOLOLOL - but hey, i saw the funny side - as i always do when it comes to your comments  u do make me laff - dont ever change lol ....

Thank you for not booting me and locking the door ladies :)

As far as reasons for my eggs to be diminished, well nothing has been said other than that it was 9 years ago that I donated them and a lot can happen in 9 years LOL So I guess they are playing the age card....ughhh, am I really that old

I'm kind of bummed that they couldn't work everything around this AF cycle, now I'll have to wait till the end of March before AF comes again (unless they can go ahead and put me on birth control...etc? But all in good time, I'm just excited to be moving forward.

Hey Indie! :) Glad u made it over! Mia's right, it takes a lot of time and when you don't have it, it takes even longer to try to catch back up. They'll leave u in the dust! :)

I wanted to comment on a couple of things you wrote... first, having the day-3 testing... I don't know if your gyno can do it, but mine did. If you can get in there, the can probably run all 7-8 ( ) vials of blood and get it sent to the lab. This helped me, because tho my insurance doesn't cover most of my IVF stuff, it did cover this. Also, w/ the bcps, I end up having AF a week early. I take them for 21 days and have AF 3 days later... so maybe you'll get a boost if you take them ?? Anyway, i'm so happy for you that you and DH are on board with this study. It's so good to hear your PMA and jokes... I can tell you're in a better place! :) Can't wait to hear how things are progressing!!

Becks - I'm glad the spotting has gone away. The DR wasn't able to offer any suggestions as to what it might have been??? Enjoy your rugby today! Go Wales! ;)

Stephjim - did you get your ticker figured out? I see that it's still not there. I had to delete all my notes on there too, cause i wanted to put both my ticker and my blinkie. I just deleted it all to make room.

Steph - I love your new little "ticker" where'd you find that?! Why is it a day off from your tf ticker? :?

Good morning to everyone else... ok, so its late morning here, but morning nonetheless!

I'm waiting for DH to get up so he can give me a shot. (Yes, Mia, I CAN do them myself, but he likes to - it's his "thing") The first cycle, I was going to do it and he got the worst look on his face, like a little kid who wasn't getting any ice cream. He said, "but I thought that was *my* job, *my* part...?" So i gave in. It's sweet, really... he wants to be involved and he feels like this is his only way. BUT, he worked til 3am last night, so he's a tired little bunny right now. If he doesn't get up soon, I'm gonna either have to do it myself or wake him!

Have a WONDERFUL Saturday, Ladies... I'll check in later.

ICSI GIRL wrote: the proxeed is about $350 for 3 month supply...............in the GRAND SCHEME of things -- its not much at all.......(espcially if it works!!) just looking at the price - i was all "OMG - those are some expensive vitamins right there!!!" --- but apparently, is what all of the "expert urologists" recommend......and i don't know if you caught any of nims/my conversation about it yesterday -- where she said her dh took something similar from zita west (well known across the pond) and it SIGNIFICANTLY helped her dh's swimmers..........so i thought about ordering the zita west stuff (is less expensive) --- but then ya think "should do/use what MY doc said to".........so i not sure yet...... any advice?????? i'm looking for anybody's two cents on this one!!!
Hey Icsi, sorry hun - being working me butt off for the last couple of days - I can't be certain if the vits help my DH but we certainly got a better fert rate this time round than before, we had 10 eggs and 7 fert which was our best ever so far and yes we did ICSI as well. The vits were not as expensive as the ones you are talking about over there - they were about £22 a bottle (approx $40) - I know that Shantala also got her DH to take them as well which why I also tried them - anything gotta help hasn't it! ?? As you say, in the scheme things.......

However will say there were a number of things DH was doing which didn't do much for his swimmers - the main thing was hot baths and saunas/steams so put a stop to those too

sorry prob haven't help much have I!! soz

Anyone ever heard of using a hypnotist to help get pregnant, kind of like using accupuncutre?

steph --- I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU HAVEN'T POSTED YOUR NUMBERS FOR US TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (unless i'm a dork and missed it somewhere?? :? ) at any rate....can't talk long ---- afraid i've come down w/ the man flu :( feel like ca-ca......really tired/weak.......will try to pop back in a little later....hope everything is a-ok!!

one other quickie..........for chriss ------ YES, JUST LOOK WHAT GETTING 2ND OPINION DID FOR ME!!!!! and i am the biggest creature of habit you will EVER meet -- so if it had been up to me alone, i would have probably not made and went to the new RE -- it was because of YOU GUYS talking me into it!!! i was just really afraid that all going to new RE would do is give me false sense of hope -- ya know?? (duh - i KNOW you know)... but i just told her straight up that this is what i've been thru up to this point, this is what doc suggesting as next ----- based on all my info, do you agree or not??? and the coolest part for me is that i don't believe she would have accepted me as a patient into their "refund guarantee" program -- ya know??? anyway......who knows what a fresh outlook can do for you!!! AND new rx protocol too, that can make BIG difference...... oh and something else i did when trying to make my appt w/ new RE --- was told them i was willing to take somebody's cancellation too - may want to call your new clinic back just to try it???

hello to all my lovelies -- sorry i just can't hang right now....... am all tired out!!! am thinking of you all though............bye bye for now
