How did transfer go? How many did you guys decide on?

Steph how did your apt go today! I figured you be back by now!!! Where you at???

Chriss- how you doing?

Rachel- wow will they let you go early? I mean you don't want to literally "pop" right! I didn't actually get to hear the hb, I got to see it and get the rate :) That was fine enough for me though!

Shantala- yup, over that 6w6d mark, well depending on what calendar you look at...well today I am definitely haha. I actually cleared a hurdle back on March 4 when I saw a yolk sac...that was more than I got last time, the only reason I went to 6w6d last time was to give it more time to develop...which didn't happen, then that was the day of my surgery. It was over long before 6w6d unfortunately...but yeh it was still nice to say that dreaded day was behind me regardless! Wow you get Easter Monday!!! I'm moving to the UK!

I get to work today at 1...oh yippee me!

Well, it's a few hours later and here I am back already.

Steph, great news with SONO.

Hope, Best luck with transfer!

Hi everyone. I'm jsut gonna copy the post I just put on another thread, cause it exhausted me to write it. I'm sorry I'm not doing more personals at the moment. I'll try to get back on later this weekend.

We've had a very busy time the last two days. First had a consult about donor eggs with RE. We wanted to find out some information about it all. We did not come to any conclusions yet. Then the next day (yesterday) we spent the entire day traveling to and from new clinic. This one all the way in Manhattan. We wanted to get a second opinion becasue we have been at same RE and have had three BFN's. New RE acknowledged my advanced maternal age, but was not slighted by it. I think that he deals with many women my age. He thought that my FSH was good enough and he looked through all of my paperwork. He talked about how they do things differently than the clinic that I was at. ANd maybe a change would be what I need. He talked about using a different protocol. He did also note... that he feels that the difficult transfers have something to do with the BFN's. I have a tilited cervix and there's a sharp "angle" to get into uterus easily. IUI's have always been painful and I've always been under anesthesea for ivf transfers. THey've even put a stitch in there with a string to use to shift the uterus. New DR. thinks that the transfer plays more of a role in this than the old RE ever let on. OF course he wants to run more tests, etc.

So, of course this clinic is so very far away from home. I would need to take some significant time off of work. There's no way I could do any daily monitoring and still go to work. It's also more expensive and that means using up the last bit of insurance money and not having any left for donor cycle. (Although the DE are not covered at all.) So sad that money has to play a role in this.

I plan to go talk with my principal next week. I need to do this. Dh and I feel that we want to give new RE a chance. Hope principal will work with me. People take off work for other illnesses/surgeries, etc. This is a major "Quality of Life" issue here and we can not wait 4 months until summer. When you are 41 every month counts.

Sorry such a long post all about me, but I wanted to update you guys. I've been pretty quiet lately. I am still on 2ww, but have been having the usual PMS symptoms that I've had every other failed cycle. I was pregnant once before (miscarriage) and I do not feel the way I did when I was preggers. I test this week. Such a saga.

I'm thinking of you all and I've been reading up on you every chance I get. I'm still here. Best wishes. -chriss

Hey all!!! Been back had to go buy a new TV, ok did not have to but we eventually need another one for the bedroom and because our big one is in the shop we needed a nice new one for the living room. :)

Ok, well I went to the doc today and We had the same 10 follicles in there but one of them is actually a cyst. The 21 with a circle? I asked about it and it is a cyst, Oh well we are down to 9. They were size 14 to 20 and we are now scheduled for retrieval on Tuesday at 7am. I take the trigger shot tomorrow night at 9p. Yay!!!!!!!!!!! I have to call my boss tonight and let her know. So I wanted to let everyone know what was going on.

Off to the store to buy DSD some shorts and get my antibiotic for tomorrow. Hope everyone is going ok.

Chriss- the new RE sounds wonderful!!!! I sure hope your boss is understanding. I can totally understand not waiting til summer....even if you were 25! Plus I'd think she'd have to respect you more for giving you a heads uprather than calling out sick that day at the last minute!!!

Steph- woohoo your wish was granted!!! AND you get to start vacay just a tad early :) So the cyst doesn't cause any issues right, and we don't have to worry bout it letting loose early (O'ing) cuz it ws big? That is good! You guys goin out to celebrate??? Oh wait good thing you got a new tv...you are gonna be breaking that in before long :)

No, the cyst won't ovulate. They will most likely just drain it while they are up there getting the eggs.
