Weezie- welcome back - we missed you! Glad to hear you are ok and sorry about your DH and the job thing, hopefully something will come up soon. Sorry about the ex thing too. How are your skids doing? Do you find Diapers.com cheaper than Target?
Washington - mine is 7 mos and wakes up at least once a night to feed, he is still breastfed, sometimes in gorwth spurts he wakes up up to 4 times a night. Working the next morning with dark circles
Suga - it is hard keeping mine on nap schedule since MIL watches him and lets him do whatever... I wish I could afford to stay home! How is the house hunting?
So last night my little guy was burning, 102.5 fever and (I know I am lucky) it was hi first fever ever. Of Course I was a wreck. Gave him tylenol and kept him in only diapers, no runny nose or anything, this morning was down to 100.7 - anyone have had a fever episode for no apparent reason?

Rio - Sorry about the fever. Declan had the same thing a few weeks ago. He seemed fine - a bit cranky but his daycare called me to come get him because he had a fever. I gave him Tylenol and by the next day he was fine. He even went back to daycare. I think it was something he might have had for a few days and the fever was the last symptom. I didn't take him to the doctor though because he recovered so fast.
Weezie - Glad to hear from you! I am totally impressed with diapers.com!!!!! We have been using them for months and they sometimes even deliver next day. Their prices are the same as our local grocery and Babies R Us so we are happy. We buy all his food, diapers, and clothes there.
washingtonda - Sorry about the sleepless nights. Declan is a pretty good sleeper and when he wakes up at night it usually means he is sick or going through a growth spurt. Then he goes back to his usual 6:30 - 5:30 schedule. I think I am very lucky.....not all babies sleep that long without food. Declan is a big baby though, and has been eating 4 solid meals a day plus at least 32 oz of formula. Oink!
Declan is teething and is having a really hard time with it. For over a week now he has been waking at night two or three times screaming. We feed him and he eats a little but we can tell it isn't what he wants. He caught a cold and when we saw him pulling on his ears we took him in to the pedi. He has a history of ear infections (or one that wouldn't clear up). The doctor said he didn't have a fever, his ears were clear, and his cold was mild. She suspects just teething. Sooooo we are dosing him with Tylenol regularly at night and started using oragel. Last night he only woke once. Yippee. Does anyone know how long teething takes? He is working on his two lower teeth. Spock says there is a break and then the four upper teeth come in. But how long does it take for teeth to come in and stop hurting?
Gecko: Mackenzie is starting to teeth as well. She is just a horrible napper at the time! She is still doing ok during the night. I use Motrin and Hylands Teething Tablets.
Rio: I would just watch the fever and if you have to give meds for more than 2 days I would take him in to the doc. He may have an ear infection? I dunno...sometimes teething can cause a higher temp too.
Ok I took a look at Diapers.com and it is the same price as stores around here...they just ship it to your door. However, there are no knock off brands?? I use Sams Club or Costco because they are cheaper and come in huge things (great with twins!!) I will buy Pampers (which I LOVE LOVE) only when they are on sale and I have a coupon. So it just seems expensive to me still since I have to buy huge things of diapers.
I am doing ok, trying to keep busy so I don;t really think about the bfn. We are finishing up a play porch for ella. It is coming out awesome, we already painted and now just need to put the new floor down and move in the furniture. It is like extreme makeover porch edition, except it takes them a week to build a whole house, and it is taking us over a week to do a teeny tiny enclosed porch!
I went to see RE yesterday and he said 8-10 weeks for FET. I guess a few weeks of bcp's, a few weeks of lupron then a couple weeks of estrogen pills and then the transfer. I went for bw and u/s today and got the all clear to start my bcp's tonight. He also wants to evaluate my uterus by biopsy. He doesn't suspect anything, but wants to rule it out. He honestly said he doesn't know why I am not pregnant and that I should be. We are chalking it up to just not working for any reason, we just fell on the bad side of the percentages this time.
I asked for a discount for the FET, but no go. It will be the full $5000, which we will either finance or be able to save before july. Plus we have the loan to pay from this time...it really stinks to pay that. I was also hoping to have the FET much sooner than 8-10 weeks, but nothing I can do about it.
I gotta try and catch up with you all! I have been so self involved for the past week or two with the 2ww.
Suga- I agree with you about diapers.com. I am going to check them out again, since I would love delivery, but I think I checked them out a long time ago, and sam's club was cheaper in bulk, so I just go there since I get the formula from there anyway.
gecko- thanks for thinking about me. Sorry to hear declan is having trouble with teething. Ella still shows no signs of teeth, but I am afraid of when they come, I bet she will be real fussy too.
rio- so sorry to hear about that fever! Ella has only ever had a slight fever after shots, but never for no apparent reason. Did you call the dr? Is he feeling better by now?
weezie- thanks for the hugs and so good to hear from you. I am glad gavin is doing well, but sounds like no fun for still waking up at night...I am glad that is over with Ella! Hopefully he will sleep through the night soon.
Washingtonda- I am so sorry to hear michaela is still waking. I can imagine how hard it is one you and dh. I wish I had an answer for you. It seems our trick was not to make a big deal out of bed time. We change her diaper, but her in a sleep sack and lay her down, give her a paci and turn on her aquarium. She almost always goes right to sleep and sleeps straight through. On rare occasions she will wake and cry, but I just give her back her paci and she goes right back. I hope she starts sleeping for you soon.
kbear and mellie- thank you for your kind words also. It is so nice to know so many people really care, and I have ladies to talk to who understand.
Ok, dinner time...it is so late for dinner, but thats the way we roll around here!

Hi MOMMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy Belated Mother's Day to you all
PUT UP SOME NEW PIX LADIES!!!!!! (i'll get some new ones up asap)
CT- I am so sorry about your bfn- that sucks-I had been praying for good news for you- glad you'll be able to do the FET soon and get that bfp!
Weezie- there you are!!!! how's it going? I'm sorry to hear your dad is in the hospital- how are you and dh doing? has the skid been any better with you and Gavin?
Tammy- what's up?
Suga- i know those twins are a real handful, but I would be beside myself to have to chase after 2 at once! they are going to be crawling all over the place soon!
rio- how's that big swimmin baby? i am so happy that you've been able to keep up the bfeeding- saddly we only made it to about 5 months due to our issues and my major lack of production- sheesh- you'd think these big boobs would have been great, but they just didn't produce-grrrr
washington- hi! i'd been a long time lurker of yours as you were so nearby - i am sorry to hear that Michaela is not sleeping through the night (weezie, too). I don't know how it all works, but perhaps more activity during the day may help? or just trying to let them soothe themselves back to sleep? Any suggestions from the doctors?
jomae- how is it going with the two? Katie doing well?
mellie- are you getting ready to cycle?
gecko- declan sure is an eater! wowee- that's a lot of food- what a big strong guy!!!
kbear- ok- it's finally getting there- let's meet up soon- i'm almost done with school for the semester and would love a trip out to Frederick (or if you were planning a trip to baltimore....)
tina? you out there? what's up???
as for us- Pulman is doing great, and I guess i take it for granted that he's a good sleeper, napper and eater - he's still small( 10th%ile for weight) but 50th %ile for height. He's powerful and active and chatty and i swear he'll be walking sooner than he'll crawl- though he does manage to crawl backwards!
he's eating all sorts of foods and likes spicy stuff which is great- i occasionally give him tastes of food we're eating. And he loves the cats and dog. he laughs and laughs whenever Elmer VonNewcat (yep- that's his name- heehee) wanders by.
And swimming class is over, but we'll be going to a friend's outdoor pool soon. he holds his breath underwater very well, and actually floated unassisted (which was harder for me to let go of him than for him to float).
Other than that, i'm struggling towards the end of the semester and have a show that is opening tomorrow night and am looking forward to our camping trip over memorial weekend. I've been campin' with the core of this group for 22years, and it's grown to a camp-out of over 50 folks lots of little ones and even more beer!
loopie: How on earth do you get them to hold their breath under water at such a young age? Mine love the water but I hate when they swallow some...ugh.
I weighed my girls last night myself...Brooke is 20lbs (ish) and Mackenzie 19.5 lbs (ish) of course that is the scale at home so we will see next week what they really are for their check up. No shots this time which is awesome!!
Also, I am thinking of not getting the chickenpox or Hep. A vaccine...what do you all think??
I need to go check out photobucket...I never go there any more!!
Ok looked at the pictures and added some of mine. CUTENESS! I must say we make cute babies
OH I forgot to mention, the girls are pretty much crawling...Brooke scoots mostly (usually on her butt hehe) or rolls around the entire room. Mackenzie still goes backwards only but she can get into trouble doing that too!! Mackenzie is working on saying dada and it is too cute. I have been waiting for them to talk and hear MAMA! But them saying dada first will be ok I suppose
Loopie - how did you get him to hold his breath? I am so nervous about doing that with ours, his swim lessons start on June 20th. is just instinct they have, did he swallow any water when you did it?

Just wanted to pop on and say "hi" to everyone. We're finally getting some beautiful weather here in Chicago and we're really enjoying taking Evie out for walks now. We walked for hours today along the lakefront.
Happy Monday! I am finally done with school this semester- papers written show up, critiques done WHEW!
ok- the breathing thing- yeah, sometimes he swallows a bit of water, but to help him learn, blow directly into your baby's face- this triggers the baby to hold his breath, then dunk (at an angle so water doesn't get up the nose) and scoop upwards- then reward!
after a few times, you'll be able to keep him/her under longer each time. Pulman and I can swish around in a circle with him underwater 2-3 xs(about 5-10 seconds now!)
but most of it is you trusting your baby- when he floats- it's hard to let him sink, but after a bit he does kick his way back up to the surface and float for a few seconds on his own- mostly, they taught us how to get the little ones to save themselves if they fell in the water. you can also do this stuff in the tub with them - good luck!
as for the rest of if all, things are pretty great- he's really starting to creep along- if i put stuff just out of his reach, he seems to eventually get them! he does a lot of backwards and side to side scooting - oh it's wild
anyhoo- got to go for now
hugs to all!
xxloopie
loopie- that is fascinating about the holding breath. Ella's lessons are over for now, but they weren't really lessons per say, they were more like organized pool time. They didn't teach anything like that, most of the kids were toddlers, so they were learning kicking in the water and jumping in. I think I am going to sign up again though for summer, so maybe I will try, you might have to do a short video lesson for me, I will be so afraid to get water up her nose.
melllie- I am hanging in there, thanks for asking. Glad you are getting some nice weather in chicago. We had a little chilly spell this past weekend, but Ithink it will warm up now.
So I had a crazy busy weekend, my brother and is fiance came to town for their CT bridal shower and bachelor party. the shower was at my house and went well. A little cold, but no rain. Then while the boys were at the bachelor party we took the bride to be out to a broadway show that came to town called girls night the musical. It was a ton of fun.
But then after a great weekend, it ended on a bad note today. I had to put my dog to sleep. She has been struggling with arthritis for some time now, put over the past few days shes has been falling a lot more and peeing in the house everyday. It was so hard to do, but I know it was the right decision.
And a clinic update from me. I just got my FET protocol. I go thursday for my biopsy and I will start lupron on thursday too. Looks like my estimated transfer will be June 24, with beta being only a couple days before my brothers wedding. I really hope it works this time, I would hate to feel miserable from a bfn on what is supposed to be the happiest day of my brothers life.
Ok, gotta run, I will try and post on photobucket soon, all the babies are adorable!
