Hi Ladies

Just go back from the clinic all looks well, so i trigger tonight. I hve to take my injection at 1am, can you believe that 1AM, my procedure is at 12.30pm on Tuesday. So that means until about 2pm, i wont have eaten or drank ANYTHING. That sucks..

So i am looking at ET on Saturday (most likely) or Monday.

Thanks ladies for the advice last night...I kept calling her and then called my RE in Pensacola and couldn't get ahold of anyone! I wished I had checked back on here more frequently last night, but only got back on here a few minutes later when dh just said let's just go ahead and figure out what we can, so we mixed it with 2ml. ***But originally I had thought we used the whole vial,so thankfully we didn't!*** She texted me back this morning said she was asleep and asked what did I do? I told her we used 2 and she said that is fine as long as you got all the powder which we did. She then asked me why did we wait so long? grrr I didn't respond back, but started to tell her because someone was asleep! All that matters right now is that everything works out in our favor. I tested this morning and still have the smiley face. The question now is when are we going for the procedure, really don't think we should wait more than 24 hours at this point. Thank you again for being there and for trying to help me along the way, you guys are my family! I will be back later this afternoon for personals, I promise! Sunshine1576

Update: 9am This morning, RE assistant calls me, as I was getting ready this morning for what I thought a 10:30 appointment (which as we were talking, told me since I had already triggered, I didn't have to come today. I was like what? no monitoring nothing?) She could tell I was upset, and I told her I felt we really had a lack of communication yesterday. She said would you call your family at 10pm if you needed them OR would you call them if there was an emergency? I said my family would always be there for me, and all I'm asking for is a little support from you. She was like when you first texted me at 5 yesterday and didn't hear back within 30 minutes you should of called me then. I said I figured you were talking with the RE about our next step and by 7:15 got tired of waiting so dh took me out to Pier Park to walk out labs, hoping I wouldn't obsess. She said you should of carried your phone with you b/c I tried calling you back at 8:15. I said we were driving home when we got home it was 9:15, checked vm then and got the message to go ahead with the trigger but wait on follistim. So I opened the box and saw this big vial of solution that would not fit into the syringe so at that point, we were looking for instructions on how much to mix and were stuck. I texted her at 9:20 and wait till 10. She said you guys have done the hcg trigger before with the IVF, I said that was a long time ago and the hcg injection for the amount of dosage with the solution was not listed on my chart. She said she was sorry, the reason I didn't respond back was because we were throwing a birthday party for her niece last night and when she got in bed, so tired, fell right asleep, said she didn't hear your text. I said but we even called you twice after 10 and even tried calling our RE too, but no one would answer their phone. She kept trying to put this off on me, and at one point I cut her off and said ok you don't need to anaylze this anymore to me. I understand you have a life, but I'm spending tons of money here and bottom line is I need is a little support OR another person to call. She was like you don't need another person, you have me. She said besides most people don't test until the next day, had you done that you wouldn't of known and the shot would of been given to you this morning. Anyway we are set for IUI tomorrow at 9am. Sorry for all the venting, but coming here always makes one feel a lttle better!

***BIG FAT UPDATE***

The Lab called like mins ago...Out of the 11 Follies....7 were mature enough...

Out of the SEVEN.....SIX Fertilized & are doing extremely well. I was told I am looking at FRIday for transfer still @ 5-day blasts!

Realistically, I had in mind that 6-7 would thrive...I am happy with that. I am looking to return 3 Embees but I want this to work so badly that I want to talk to my DOC about the chances/stats of returning 4. Does anyone know the risks with that? I dont mind twins but anything more than that will be a bit of a burden...I need to know the risks & possibilites of multiples before uping the #'s....

Hey girl, you might could pm Margi on this, How many IVFs have you been through already? If you have already been through alot and looking for qaulity, you might could ask him about PDG, testing the embryos? But you are still rather young and think you would be at a rather high risk for multiples. I would be more concerned about your health and the babies health more than anything, but talk with your doctor and see if he would recommend anything more. Best of Luck!

Thank you for sending me advise and everything last night. Trying to put all that behind me now, and move forward. Yay tomorrow is a BIG day for both of us. What, NO eating until 2pm, that sounds like torture, try to stay away from dh if possible you know so his head doesn't get bitten off. lol I'm just kidding, but if you're anything like me I get rather MEAN when I haven't eattened. I will be praying for you too that everything goes great with the transfer on Tuesday!

Thanks Sunshine. I think ur right, i remember my doc saying 4 returned is for a high number of failed attempts or older woman. I dont wanna push the envelope too much. I would rather be healthy enough to try again. We can probably afford 3 more attempts. Im praying for a "one shot deal". Lets face it, it would be great to not have to go thru this again. This is only my 1st IVF attempt but im claiming that it will be my one & only... "Please father hear my prayers"

Blaqdymun ~ I think it matters on the quality of the embies and the transfer day. If they are all good quality then less is better. During my 1st IVF we transferred 3 good embies on day 3, I asked the doctor what were odds for triplets and she said 5%. We felt we could gamble on that and we had 1 baby.

Sunshine1576 ~ How absolutely frustrating, they think we know everything, just because they do this everyday and it is old hat to them, doesn't mean we are experts too. Happy it worked out; now relax your ER is soon!!!

I had kind of a different situation than you when I did my first IVF. It was on Sunday when I had to give myself either the Novarel or the Progesterone in oil (can’t remember which one) and I had 4 different size needles and had no idea which one I was supposed to use to inject because I was never told. I remember searching online and even calling the pharmacy to find out which ones I was supposed to use. Needless to say I got conflicting information and used what I thought I was supposed to, only to find out I used the bigger size needle than I should have. I didn’t have a number to call my Dr after hours so I was going nuts trying to get the info I needed.

Happy to hear AF is here for you too. This is a busy week for everyone, it's is so exciting. I had a saline u/s a couple of weeks ago, not painful at all, good luck. Yay for starting your cycle

Follies are growing, just not fast enough! 1 at 18, 2 at 17 and the rest or all above 13. 51 follies total. I think my guts are going to explode. lol! More injections tonight, trigger on Tuesday. They will let me know what time tomorrow. Retrieval will be Thursday. YIPPY! He's concerend about OHSS. I am too. I now have lots of fluid in my uterus. He said doctors go both ways on weather to drain it or not...he is not. Betting we will have to freeze all of our little embies.

Pray my body will not overstimulate!!!!!!!

Hi all,

I've been hibernating and licking my wounds...lol. This BFN really hit me hard. I think because I only have one embryo left and if this doesn't work, I don't know what's next. We can't afford another round of IVF even though I would love it. I'm looking into lots of other options.

Had an SnS this morning and spoke with my RE. She said that we should check for clotting disorders. I was like what??? I thought we had testing for everything possible as this is my ONLY chance??? So 17 vials of blood later, the tests are in the mail.....grrrr. Could take up to a month to get the results back but most will be back in 2 weeks, so we're going ahead with this FET but she's throwing everything at me. Taking prednisone, Fragmin (blood thinner), and intralipid infusion. Has anyone else done that before? It's new at my clinic. I'd love to know people's experience of it.

We've asked to be put on the embryo donation program. I asked her if they had any compassionate rounds, ie, help with the $ side of things. She told me that drug companies are giving the drugs anymore which I know for sure is BS because I talked to a drug rep last week and she told me specifically that they give drugs to my clinic for compassionate reasons. So I have a phone call into the nurse who knows more of the realities of what drugs they have. I also know that people donate their extra meds back to the clinic for people who can't afford them. GRRRR.

I'm seriously contemplating moving to Quebec where it's covered for 3 rounds plus all drugs and all FET's, with the caveat that they'll only do single embryo transfers, and double embryo transfers for those over a certain age, not sure which age that is. But that would mean being away from my family for a long time and coming back and forth on weekends, etc. But because I'm in school, it's very feasible. Crazy things we'll do to get pregnant.

So feeling down today, but starting my FET protocol. FET will be sometime the last week of April.

Hi I just got home from the store, had to make a quick run to pick up ice-cream and oreos! Thinking about making milkshakes tonight, but when I got home I got out the blender and made a gater-ade slushie-- so easy to guzzle that down AND so much better with a teaspoon of sugar....Oh goodness gracious I'm sounding like Mary Poppins all of a sudden! Anyway having a better afternoon and trying to get ready for tomorrow, but wanted to send out personals ans some PMA!

I'm so with you on having a bad Sunday night, what did the doctor say about the follistim? So nice that your sister lives close to the clinic, but as many people we have doing IVF, you would think they would consider 24 hour service. Follistim is rather expensive and I was thankful to trigger last night and not have to open a brand new 300 iu vial saving some money for later down the road, maybe?

I can relate to how you feel with the insurance NOT covering our treatment, Can we move to Quebec and become roomies? Ahhhh the spa sounds very nice and relaxing! It's good that your clinic is looking into other things to narrow out possibilities, they just want your next cycle to be the one that works for sure!
