Tarabel-thank you for your wishes!

Neffi-can't wait to hear your news...

angram-I agree its strange to be called "advanced maternal age" and my 60yr old mother in law laughs each time she hears it! I am up to about 13 or 14 lbs, and a little over half way through. Anyone can tell I am prego, as the boy is really getting comfy in there! I''m 5'4.5" and have progressed as my doctor thought I should. She said 29 lbs by the end for someone my size.

Neffi! That's awesome! Welcome to the "boys" club. How cool is it that we're finding out all of our genders. I am truly amazed at those who do not want to find out as I really admire the will power which I do not have! So glad to hear all is going as planned.

Did you get any measurements? I have my regular OB appt tomorrow, and I'm going to ask if they received the file from the u/s from Friday so she can tell me. We were so amazed watching we forgot to ask all she was measuring. :(

Ftg-- yeah all of our mearsurments were right on schedule. I think the head was 3 days ahead??? She said everything was good though. I know I had so many questions but I was so amazed I just laid there in awe. I loved it! Wish I didn't have to go to work!

Oh My, I am so far behind!!!

Neffi & Ftg- Congrats on the boys!!!! WOW!!! For a while there i thought the girls were going to take over :P I am so glad to hear that both your u/s were great and all was on schedule and your little boys are perfect!!!

Lets not talk about weight gain!!!! I gained a WHOLE bunch of weight early on from going off my Metformin. I think I gained 12lbs by week 10? But, since then, I've only gained 3 lbs. Just the transition of going off the meds caused me to blow up like a cow.
I'm with you Angram!!! What is with the butt and thighs??? I've only gained 3 lbs in the last 8 weeks but my butt and thighs are STILL getting bigger. Welcome to carrying a little girl!!!! I hear that is what does it. The old wives tale is if you are having a girl you have a smaller belly, but you gain weight on yourself and if your having a boy you get a big round belly and dont gain weight anywhere else.

I cannot wait until my 20w u/s on Oct 16th!!! It is killing me to see my little girl again and find out how big she has gotten. She still loves to hang out way low in the pelvis right now, but boy is she jumpin jack flash!!!

Well, I have more bad news in my family. DH's is Grandpa died last night. So, in the last 7 months we've lost 2 grandpa's, 1 grandma, 1 dog and our twin baby.

I hope all is well with everyone else and babies are growing and moving up a storm!!

P.s., thanks for all the warm thoughts on my dog.

I'm sorry for your losses this year Dakota. I know those have all been sad times for you. I was a mess when I lost my grandparents (I was a bit younger), and have one grandma left who will be 96 in Nov, but she doesn't even know me anymore, nor has the capability to remember I am pregnant. That kills me.

Life is such a twister. There is so much cycling through, learning from our elders, and starting a new with our own families. No matter what I guess this is how things are supposed to pan for us, and we can find strength from those who have passed how to live our own good lives for ourselves, and our family/children.

Hello Ladies,

I am so happy to see you are doing fine. I am not fine. I am actually devasted. Our 20th week scan showed some brain abnormailities and I had an amnio and the results came in today. Trisomy 18. Scary like hell and we are now wondering which option to take: terminate pregnancy (which way -D&E or induced labor?) or wait till the baby dies naturally either in the uterus or after birth. The last 2 weeks have been like hell and I dont wish anybody a similar experience. But to your relief, trisomy 18 happens so rarely, that since it happened to me, statistically speaking, it should not happen to any of you on this thread, or even on this forum. We will go with donor eggs next time around...

There is a saying in my native language: whatever does not kill you, makes you stronger. And I can say that I already feel that I am a much stronger person. ANd I am very glad I got pregnant this time. At least I know that I can get pregnant and I enjoy being pregnant A LOT. Hopefully next time will be better.

I will be checking on your progress (it looks like I got really addicted to this forum) but might not be posting much, if anything.

I wish you all happy pregnancy. Enjoy your healthy babies!

unexplained infertility - I'm at a complete loss for words, I am so very sorry. I could not possibly imagine what you and DH are going through, but my thoughts are with you both and I wish you nothing but strength and happiness moving forward. For something so devastating, you sound incredibly positive and optimistic. Take care of yourself...

Hey all, well, we are back from our cruise and looking forward to being 16 weeks tomorrow!

Congrats to all those of you with boy and girl news!! Hopeful, and Angram, congrats on your baby girls!! And Ftg and Neffi congrats on your little boys!!
It was so good to come onto the forum and see that news!

Unexplained - I am so sorry. Words are inadequate to express how horribly sad I am for you and for your baby, and for your DH. I am glad you have found the positive that is that yes you can get pregnant, and enjoy it very much. Also that this is so very rare that it will be a healthy baby the next time for you - and that donor eggs are also an option. How hard for you to decide what to do next - I pray for you to have the strength and peace to go forward with the decision that you make knowing it is for the best whatever you decide. Please stay in touch. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Unexplained-- My jaw dropped when I read your post. I have no words of sympathy that even sound right to say! My heart is breaking for you....but you are right...that is such a rare condition, next time around you will have your healthy baby. I wish you all the strength in the world to make the tough decision ahead of you. I had a friend of a friend recently induce labor at 20 weeks due to the worst case of spinabifida....I forget what is was called. She felt she could not continue til the end. Good luck, and I will be waiting to hear about your next healthy pregnancy!

unexplained I can't begin to tell you have much my heart is aching for you and your DH. Please know you are in my prayers. I am so glad that you know you can be pregnant and that will happen again for you when you are ready.

I love seeing what everyone is having. We were going to wait and be surprised but we couldn't wait and I am so glad. We got our cribs in yesterday and have been painting the babies room this week. I want everything ready early in case I have to be on bed rest again. It will be here before we know it. :D
