Girls,

If any of you remeber Vicky77, she has just been given some bad news. She has just completed her FET and found out she is not pregnant. If you remember she was one of our girls (just like Jeck hope you are fine) and she lost her baby early on. She is crushed and could use some support if you want to write her on the General Forum.

Cowgirlclass - I hope you have a swift recovery. I know flus are nasty. I have been really blessed lately to have not been too sick. I hope it continues.

Have fun girls!

hi there girls... hope that everyone is well... we are doing good... enjoying the weather here, it is beautiful outside... i got my flowers planted over the weekend, and watched DH stain the deck, seal the patio, mow the yard, fix the fence... he was busy, as i sat most of the time on my lounge chair... it was actually hard, because i'm the one who does a lot of that stuff, so i had to relinquish power (hard for me to do, being that i'm a perfectionist).. but anything to keep the BP at bay.. .. the best blizzard is the chocolate dipped strawberry.... YUM YUM

cowgirl- hope that the flu goes away completely.. have a good appointment today!!

rachael- so glad to hear the chipper you, sounds like camping was great!! i miss that, we've not done anything.. we used to always trail bike.. can not do that with this big belly, and not allowed to either... DH, ME and the kids are all big nature lovers... DS would be jealous of the owls... there are not too many here, and we are always trying to spot them.. he also loves deer and bunnies...

kim-i;m sorry about the heartburn... i ran out of the box of lemonade, and went straight back to the store.. i think that it has helped so much.. Glad that your shower went well, and now both little ones can come home safe in a carseat, and you'll be jogging in no time...

tasha- good thing that the cubs won... we normally go up to malwaukee to see the cubs play... it's easier to get to. plus we stay overnight and go to the zoo the next day... we (well, me and my family) are CUBS fans... DH on the other hand is a sox fan.... sometimes i wonder how we got together hahahaha

nicola- glad that you got your moses basket... not too much longer before it's put to use... do try the lemonade for your heartburn... i hope that it helps, and not just a tail..

ellie-glad that your scan went well... it amazing the things that they can do in there....was isabella sucking her toes... our 2nd DS was doing that at almost every U/S... but my poor babies are not that tall... i'm 5'3" , but DH is 6'... but it seems like they get my "not so long" legs... maybe they will grow up tall...

casy-hope that DD is sleeping well, we ran our guys this weekend, and they actually slept in (not something that they normally do) DH and i were delighted... does your DD get that there is a little one coming soon? how do you feel that she'll be.. our DS is 3YO and he's starting to "get it" i've been trying to take him by babies and say that's what we are going to have... he doesn't do well when they cry...

nance- good to hear that lily is doing well.. as for the c... if it happens, then tell the family that the dr feels it is the safest for the baby... hopefully it will not be an issue, and once lily is born.. .they won't think about the delievery... as for sleeping... it's ok, now that the heartburn is better, but i'm still up several times in the night to go to the bathroom... only a few more weeks left... i can handle it!!

well, i hope that everyone takes care, and have a good day!!

Hello Girls-

Kim- I'm glad to hear that you got your second carseat... now your little ones can come home together. We have our travel system, but just need the base now. I'm hoping someone buys that for us... our baby shower is this weekend (I'm so excited). Aubrey's favorite blizzard is a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Blizzard.... yummy!

Racheal- it's so good to hear from you... it's also good to hear your back to your chipper self again. Sounds like you had a great time on the camping trip - and it sounds like it's just what you needed.

Cowgirl- sorry to hear you have been sick... but it sounds like your getting better, which is good. How was your baby shower?

Colleen- sounds like you had a good weekend... yeah this weather is great and the game was so much fun!

As for us we're doing great today... my bp dropped to 130/78, which made my doctor really happy. He also did my first internal exam and nothing... I'm not dilated yet, but he said that could change by next week. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed....

Well I hope you are all taking care and rubbing your bellies!

Hi gals...

I'm soooo tired tonight, so I'm going to try to keep it short. (Well, I"ll try...)

Racheal--I'm so glad to hear that you had a good time! You amaze me! There ain't no way I'd be out camping at this stage--it's too hard for me to get up/down and be comfy! You go, girl! As for the Pepcid, I'm way past that now. I was put on that about 6 weeks ago, and it did great for a while. Then, it just stopped working. Now, my doc has me on Maalox. I think it's starting to lose it's effect too. I just think heartburn is going to be my curse for a while. With two babies pressing against my internals, there's not much room to digest food. Some days are better than others. But, trust me, I DO complain at times. I just try to keep it all in perspective.

Tasha--Have fun at your shower this weekend! Wow...your BP keeps getting better and better! Way to go!

Colleen--You sound like me! I usually do all the yard work--mostly because I love to work outside, but also because DH isn't the best at mowing, gardening, etc. Yesterday, I managed to plant my flower boxes, but he had to do the rest. I'd much rather do it myself too! I forgot to get the lemonade today. I HAVE to remember to get some tomorrow! [However, when DH heard your advice, he thought it might be the acid in the lemonade...so we tried OJ, since it has acid. It actually worked for a while...but not for the night!]

cowgirl--so sorry to hear you were sick! I hope you're all recovered asap! I hope your make up dr. appt. went well!

Good night gals! I'm off to try and sleep!

Good Morning Girls :-)

Slowly but surely I am feeling better, but I do have a nagging cough. I am starting to adjust to the being big and somewhat misserable now :-) My baby shower went well, I got to see lots of my husband's side of the family that we don't always get to see so that was nice. Most of my family is out of state so this was to be expected. :-) I was still so sick that I really didn't get to enjoy it so much. I did have most the things I needed before the baby shower but people still didn't pay any attention to the things I said I wanted and bought clothes. I have a TON of clothes, even just diapers would have been better, but as they say "it is the thought that counts" :-)

Well at my checkup, I was worried that all my coughing had caused my water to leak, but its just clear urine, which is a relief since it is still too early for Naomi to come, but he said I was 1cm dialated and about 40% effaced. My appts are once a week now and they are going to do that bacteria test next visit.

Kim my heartburn is bad, I can't imagine how you are feeling! Apples and eating very early evening has helped some. Doc yesterday did tell me I could do prilocec but after looking up on safefetus.com I decided it wasn't that bad yet.

Thook- that is GREAT to hear about the BP. As far as the dialating and so forth I really think walking is the best thing. I did lots of walking with my other two children and my labors were very quick and easy. I even walked right through those BH contractions especially towards the end. :-)

I am getting so excited, not only about the impending events but watching and waiting to see posts from all the great people I have met on here, to hear about their experiences and to see their precious bundles of joy!

Well take care everyone!

Good Morning Girls....

Kim- Hope that you remember to stop and get some lemonade today... hopefully it will help.

Cowgril- Well thanks for the advice about walking.... maybe I'll try and get at least a little in each day (I just have to make sure my swelling stays down). Maybe DH & I will start tonight for a quick 10-15 minute walk. Well sounds like your checkup went good yesterday.... lets hope you progress nicely and your little one will be here very soon.

As for the rest of you I hope your doing well and taking care of your bellies...

Girls you are making me sooooo jelous talking about Dairy queen blizzards. I used to nanny and we would spend the summers in Minnasota and would have blizzards nearly every day i think the oreo cookie one used to be my favourite. Its really hot here today and i would love one right now.
Bugger i have just looked in my diary and realised i should have gone to my first class tonight i thought it was tomorrow. I think that there is a new one next week ( not that i will understand much anyway), jelly brain setting in.
Cowgirl sorry you have been unwell, hopefully you will soon feel well.
Cmoscar your weekend sounds lovely.I really enjoy camping but don't think i could cope at the moment. Go girl.
Cramus she wasn't sucking her toes but seemed to have it right over her head, can't quite figure out how  i think a tall gymnast is on her way.
To everyone who is suffering heartburn i really feel for you, i have only had it a couple of times and having a pint of chocolate milkshake helps me. The only reason it's chocolate is because i don't like milk.
Take care everyone

I feel like I have a head stuck between my legs!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh I do :-)
I sure do feel funny when I walk now. They told me in my refresher class that in subsquent pregnancies this happens quicker cause the muscles aren't as strong anymore.

Everything was so quiet I had to share :-)

Take care everyone!

Hello all..........wow I have missed loads, no babies born nyet though...thank heavens!!! I have been sooo busy I forget to check in!

Wont be on for long either, just had GTT and for some strange reason I am soooooo tired! I need to sleep, all is well with me & Roman..... 4d scan on Friday which is exciting, hopefully he has moved as has his legs wrapped round his head on last weeks emergency scan and was in a painful looking position!

I assume you are all well? I have only quick scanned as reading makes me sleepy, and believe me I need no encouragement, I am distraught about finding a stretchmark on my a**e! which makes me sad.....but he's worth it!

Will pop in soon, take care I am thinking of you all...

Good Morning All,

Sorry I did not post yesterday, but I was not feeling well. Started having pre-term labor on Monday evening and it continued through yesterday. They seem to have the meds under control now and the contractions are practically gone. However, I feel like I am on speed. I have the shakes and racing minds and heart. I have taken these meds with my last two pregnancies and for some reason I do not remember feeling like this. Makayla is doing fine, she seems unphased by the commotion. I have a checkup Friday to make sure everything has stopped. OB told us if the contractions come back, I will be placed on bed rest for the duration. I am praying hard not to do this and I have told work I will only be working 1/2 days starting next week. I have also stopped the cub scouting and scouting activities for now. I still have two weeks of class left and I hope to finsh since there is no refund and I would then have to retake the class. I am trying not to over do it between now and the and of May. If I hang on till then, I will be allowed to deliver if the labor (by C-section of course) starts again. I hope everyone is doing well. I will try to catch up with everyone later today. For now I have work to finish.

Rachal - just a thought. If you didn't react the same way with the meds before, is there a chance you are dehydrated. I have been in the same boat with other types of meds where they effect me differently based on my level of hydration. Just a thought. I hope the meds work for you and you are able to hold out till the end of May! :-) My OB said if I go into labor anytime after the 20th of May he will let me go. :-)

Angellica - it is nice to hear from you! I am glad you are doing well. I too seem to live sleepy these days, I am not sure if it is because I have difficulty going to sleep and getting up several times a night or just the toll of everything. Good luck on the 4D scan, that would be so neat to see!

Tasha I am glad I made you smile :-) We just seem to trade one ache for another but in all my reading and lurking it is a pretty common feeling to be somewhat misserable towards the end!

Ellie it is great to hear from you. I too get the mush brain, so don't feel alone! :-)

Take care everyone,
Cowgirl

Cowgirlclass - I don't think it is dyhyradtion. I have had water attached to me for days now. They actually doubled the dose from the amount I took the last time. They started me on 2.5 mgs and it did not stop the contractions and then she doubled it and the contracts have stopped. I have been doing some reading and it looks like I will just have to make do. I am going to ask the OB if we can reduce the dosage after a week or so. That way I still have the meds in my system, but the side effects are not as much of a problem.

Good Afternoon Girls.... I have just come in from sitting in the sun today (reading several magazines). I can't believe how much color I got... I just love it. Plus is was very relaxing....

Angellica- it is great to hear from you... good luckat your 4d scan this Friday. Also keep us posted when you get your GTT results back.... my fingers will be crossed for you.

Racheal- sorry to hear your not feeling so good... hopefully the contractions will stop and your doctor can reduce your meds so your not so shaky... keep us posted and take it easy.

Well we're doing good... tomorrow is the official first day of my leave! So I'll have 12 weeks from that period... putting me back at work Aug. 2nd - which isn't so bad. Also I have another doctors appointment tomorrow so we'll see how things are going.

Here's hoping the rest of you are doing well....
