Umm.....Angie, I think Shantala meant that she missed the conversation about Randy. She didn't really mean she will miss you girl!!! Once she has the little cutie in her hands, she'll forget all about us! And I wouldn't blame her. :D

Ok, since I have a couple of over the ponders on here today. Can of the Great Britainers give me a good recipe for Shepherd's Pie? I am not sure if I asked for this before, but my DH used to live in England and I thought I would surprise him one night with one.

Hey Ladies -

Wow you've been busy girls on here today! Angie must be over the crazy busy stage at work!!! ;) Glad to have the action back!!

I will try to catch up later today - but I wanted to give a quick update.

We had our first U/S today - 6w1d and we got to see our little one's heart beat - Image - rate 117 - which seemed a little low for me, but RE assured me it was fine anywhere between 100-150.

We are a little sad that our twin didn't make it, but we are very happy to have a strong little one growing away in there! Now the next scary 2ww begins. I was a nervous wreck just being in there this morning, I can't imagine how hard the next one will be.

Rachel - hope Ruby has arrived and you are loving your first days as mum!! and thinking of you, Chriss... hope the mock goes well and isnt' too painful!

Thinking of the rest of you too... I gotta get going. I made DH drive me this morning in case it was bad news so I wouldn't have to drive myself, but that means I had to come back home and now I need to get to work!

I will try to get the piccies scaned today and get them on here - not that you can see much at this point!! ;)

Hope, that is sooo exciting. I am sorry about the twin. He/she will be able to watch over the little one in there during the pregnancy.

What 2ww are you worried about? You go back in for another US in 2 weeks? What? I thought we were supposed to relax for a while once we see a heartbeat. You will be fine. I have had a little queasyness today so I am catching up to you. Ok just 81/2 days to go for me to see my little heartbeat. 6 of those days are work so that should hopefully make it go by fast.

Hey Steph - Thanks for the congrats. Yeah, i go back for a 2nd U/S around week 8 - it's actually a little less than 2 ww, as I've already scheduled it for Monday, 4/21.

As far as the relaxing - i don't think a mom ever relaxes from this point forward - am right, ladies?! ;) I dunno, but I'm 35 and my mom hasn't stopped yet. But, for me, this was the time during my last pg that I lost my little one. Everything was fine at 6w, saw heartbeat, all was well with the world. I had no problems during the next 2 weeks but when I went back for the 8w U/S, there was little growth and no heartbeat. :( The scary thing was that I had no indications that anything had gone wrong. I think Chriss went thru a similar experience.

So - I am just OVERLY cautious about these two weeks based on my history. I'm sure for most everything is just fine.

Angie - Thanks for the congrats! :) My due date is Dec 2 (which happens to be my oldest DSS's birthday as well (he'll be 17 this year) - like most of us deliver on the actual due date!, but ... :) Any date is fine with me - even if it's an "ugly November birthstone" - as Steph says! ;) - EXCEPT Dec 7 - we want to stay away from that. It was the date of my D&C (and MIL's bday - ugh). So glad things are going well with you and DH - have fun "doin' it"!!!! :)

Oh, and I know I said I was going to work, and I am... i just had to lie down for a while, icky stomach.

Hope - Fab news on the heartbeat.

Now you listen girl, just cause something happened last time does NOT mean its going to happen this time. I know its hard to relax, but do try to enjoy your pregnancy. You so deserve it.

Oh, and about you going to work, no need to make excuses. We know you don't want to leave us. :D

Hi Ladies :D Long time, no chat

Hope - congrats on seeing the heartbeat. Try to relax, I'm sure everything will be fine this time around. You deserve to enjoy your pregnancy.

Stephjim - have you checked your pm's? I seem to remember a conversation about shepherd's pie a while ago. That's so cute about the baby blanket. My sister gave me my first baby gift too.

Shantala - I don't think you're weird wanting to wash the clothes and bedding, I'm already planning on doing the same myself, not that I've even bought much yet. And I agree stuff smells so much nicer when its dried outside. (maybe its a weirdness that comes with pregnancy :D ). I hope your DH isn't too far away when the time comes, at least your Mum's close by.

Rachel - Hope your hospital appt went well. can't wait to hear when she arrives.

Angel - Hope you're feeling better

Chriss - I hope your appt goes ok and isn't too painful

Angie - Did you get the clomid thing sorted yout? I took it days 2 to 6 but my cycle's so erratic that I ov'd on different days each time, anything from day 14 to 26  so that prob doesn't help much. I don't think it matters too much whether you 'do it' the day of surge or the day after (or both  ) as the surge just means you'll ov in the next 24 - 48 hours and fresh sperm can live for about 5 days

Jayne - You gave me a shock when you said about only having max 13 weeks to go. I had to check your ticker, I'm only 2 weeks behind you and I've hardly bought anything yet either

Steph - do you hate your job? I know the feeling, its been manic lately but I'm trying to chill and not let it stress me as I've got far more important things to worry about now.

Nims - well done on the horsey winnings. I had 3 in the work sweepstake but non of them finished  in fact 1 ended up getting shot  Good thing I'm not usually a gambler if that's my luck!

Becky - sorry you're feeling so down. Just think, after all that waiting you are finally on your way even if you are down-regging for so long. Hopw you feel better soon.

Mia - 12 weeks wooohooo!

hi to everyone I've missed. I've been so bad keeping up lately, I'm sorry.
This is my last full week at work, from next week I'll just be working 3 days a week and boy am I ready for it now. Feeling quite tired by the end of the day (well by 3.30 most days) so am looking forward to slowing down a bit. I've got my last acu session on Friday and its really helped with the headaches and dizziness. Once I'm working less I'll start some serious shopping. All I've got so far is a sterilizer, 2 packs of nappies ('cos they were on offer) and a few body-suits plus a couple of bits I've been given. Did go and try out some prams a couple of weeks ago and even got as far as testing them in the boot of my car but still haven't been brave enough to make that final decision.

Love to everyone

oh haven't we been busy girls today - what no work ??!! Hey if you're all bored, come and me out!!!

Hope thats excellent news on the heartbeat and no matter what I say, I know you will worry yourself silly until the next scan - its only natural - I still worry every day and I suspect we will always worry until they are in our arms.

Chriss - hope the 'fake' transfer went well today and not too painful.

Lara - you gone into hospital to have Ruby?? Have I missed something??

Shantala - don't think you're wierd either hun - I would wash clothes given to me too and someone also mentioned about washing new stuff too. Anyway, what sun ?? I'm starting to feel like a mushroom, go in at the crack of dawn and come home at dusk, don't see any sunshine  roll on mat leave - 9 wks and 2 days to go and counting !!!

Angie - nice to have you back - well if shantala doesn't miss you, I will  although I'm not going anywhere soon. NOW you're weird if you like numbers and all that - yuck!!

Angel - you're sounding more up beat - but isn't anyone else busy at work! Tis not fair

Steph2 - 81/2 days will fly by - your u/s will be here before you know it.

Beachbaby - glad I'm not the only one slow on the shopping front - I did buy more maternity clothes at the w/end - does that count??

ok, feeling a little light headed so going to sit my back side down and chill before I'm climb into my well deserved bed! Now I'm not one to wish my life away, but roll on my mat leave....did I say I had 9wks and 2 days to go????!!!!

ha ha i brought 2 packs of nappies too as they were on offer!! But we stood there for ages not knowing which size to get ! how the hell do you know when you haven't had the baby!! Duh!! so went for the average size and hope that baby not too big!!

What prams are you looking at? Have you a short list?

We are the same as you, not brave enough to make that final decision - it is worse than buying a new car.

Hope things are going well - can't believe you are able to reduce your hours - now I'm really jealous.
